In 1997, Brian Williamson was in the backyard. His friend, Sarah, is moving to another city with her parents; Brian said goodbye to her. As her car drives away, Brian goes to the treehouse to watch her...However, 5 minutes later, the city exploded. Brian thought Sarah was dead, but it snapped back 6 minutes to see Sarah.
He asks her to take more and spend 5 minutes, until the City's Destruction is the same, making them horrified. In the city, the soul was sent from its dead body...
The news reports about killing people one by one. While in reality, the soul was sent. In 2000, in Paris, Alex's soul was sent too. Many people died...
In 2026, Brian became a detective to investigate the truth. The news poster/newspaper was shown as evidence. Then, Brian uses the Drone to check the death trap; he witnesses the apartment's destruction, with the remaining people surviving. The reality is that several souls were sent, too.
A week later, Brian visited the graves of the victims. He saw the two graves, which were Sarah's parents. There's a girl who whispers to Brian that Death is real. Brian was confused before a girl vanished without a trace.
To predict the death, Brian uses the drone again. This time, he witnesses a man killed by a pole; Brian already has footage and then the news. Brian saw a man, William Bluthworth, who was watching him, but the car distracted Brian, allowing Bluthworth to leave.
2nd death, the couple were killed by falling bricks; Brian, in the police car, witnessed them. 3rd death, Brian goes undercover as a golfer and witnesses another golfer being killed by Car. 4th death: Brian on the subway. The monorail...but the remaining people survived, causing Brian to be horrified and realise it was the loop...
Brian is traumatised at the station; an officer asks him if everything is okay. Brian thinks it is not good. A girl appears again, whispering to him, Loop Cycle, spy on victims. Brian realises that "Death" spies on its victims to kill them.
Brian is on the road, in traffic, but realises something on the road. He leaves the car and asks a worker if someone is injured. But the plane appears to crash near Brian. Brian witnessed another passenger being killed, and the souls were sent, too.
The next morning, Brian spotted Bruthworth's home address. As Bruthworth is in the car and driving, Brian follows him to look at the truth. At the same hospital, Brian spots the secret door, only to see more papers, believing Bruthworth is a killer.
Tracking down the Killian after learning that there is a long history of people's deaths, Brian meets with Laura. Laura explains that Death is not from this world, but from another world; after a hero stops, the cycle loop of the death trap does not kill, but the endless location. An entity is sent to this world to kill them. Brian is horrified to realise that Sarah is now the target of her husband.
Brian went to Sarah's house, only to fire, but managed to save her. Brian witnesses her husband being killed, and the soul is sent, too. Brian thought someone would kill Sarah, but nothing happened.
He takes her to Bludworth's target, which is an abandoned warehouse, to confront him, demanding why he was the one who was behind this. However, Bludworth holds a...FBI IP, it turns out that he was working for the FBI to investigate the cycle. He reveals that about no Accident, no Coincidence, no Mishaps, and no escape, the 5th word is a Death Trap. Brian's phone said that New Year's Eve was going to start tonight.
The trio went to the New Year's Eve concert, interrupting the concert. As midnight counts. When death comes, several people are killed one by one. A girl appears, saying, "It's here". Brian had to kill "Death" all by himself by dodging the object and confronting the death, the death turning itself into a man-like demon. Brian fights a demon but fails. A demon attempts to kill Brian with wheels, but Bludworth sacrifices himself by pushing Brian before a wheel kills Bludworth. Bludworth's death revealed that he erased a demon out of existence forever, killing it.
The souls emerge like horror faces, horrified, Brian. He uses the camera, only not here. Only his eyes. As Brian and Sarah watch the souls, they explode, but they are sent to 1997 in time. Brian said goodbye to Sarah as she and her parents drove away. Brian went to the treehouse to check the city, but nothing happened. Brian is confused as to why the cycle has ended.
2000, in Paris. Brian saw Alex and Clear talking to each other, making Brian relieved that the cycle had stopped. In 2010, Brian married a woman and had 3 kids. In 2027, now in January, Brian lives at the farmhouse with his family. Brian encounters a girl who appears to be a ghost, who smiles and says that a demon didn't kill her; it was accidentally for real. Before the girl vanished, he looked at the object, but nothing happened. His wife asks him to come inside, and Brian goes inside. With this, the cycle has ended.
