A/N Kenn, the comic book qualifies as a souvenir, beyond that, it's not something I thought about. I'm not sure why having Dawn gradually learn control is a problem, it makes the story longer, allows for more interactions and more realities. I intend to keep this story going until I get tired of it.

Xander orbed into Faith's hospital room after scanning it and finding no one else in the room, he moved over to the bed and looked at her beautiful face. His Faith was about twenty years older then this one, but still amazingly beautiful. What had happened to her? He placed his hand on her arm and orbed them both back to the Elders realm. He settled her on the floor and held his hands out over her and activated his healing power. As he healed her, he 'knew' what her injury was and he wanted to cry. Someone had stabbed her, deep into her lower belly and his instinctive knowledge of anatomy that came with the healing power told him she no longer had her uterus. After a couple minutes the power shut off, she was as healed as she was going to get, but he couldn't regrow lost organs. "Who did this to you, Faith?" It wouldn't be long until she woke up and they could talk and being in this peaceful place would help her in other, more subtle ways. His Faith had carried and in some ways, still carried the scars of a painful childhood, much as he, himself, did. It was something they had in common, along with a need to be better people than those who's names were on their birth certificates. He took a seat on the floor nearby and crossed his legs, he'd meditate until she woke up, let the peace of this realm seep into her.

"Hey, nice to meet you." Xander looked around and wondered where the heck he was now.

"I was meditating."

"You still are." The voice was coming from a coyote.

"Okay, maybe the demon hit me harder than I thought and I'm actually still unconscious." Xander muttered. "That makes more sense than some how ending up in another reality, finding a Faith that's been stabbed and oh, let's not forget, All My People Gone!" He glared at the coyote. "Add in a coyote talking to me and it all adds up to my head's been scrambled."

"No, all that has happened." The coyote told him. "Sorry, kid, but this isn't your home. But you're still part of me, regardless of what reality you started out in and here, in the Elders realm, is closer to my realm. Close enough that we can talk without breaking the Accords."

"The Accords? The agreement the gods made to not interfere in human affairs unless invited?"

"Yep, those Accords, trust me, there are times I wish I'd never signed that agreement. I understand the necessity of it because our excesses were causing humans a lot of problems. But if we hadn't signed it we could have stopped what happened to the Elders in this reality. But when a god breaks an Oath, the damage can destroy worlds."

"Because you're tied to things your station represents. A moon goddess is tied to the Moon, she dies or breaks an Oath she swore by the Moon and the Moon and with it the Earth and all life who calls it home are affected."

"Exactly." The coyote paced around him. "You're tied to me, do you understand what that means?"

"I've never sworn by any god associated with coyotes and I was possessed by a hyena, so no, I'm not sure what it means that I'm tied to you."

"I'm not just associated with coyotes, I am Coyote or at least that's one name I'm known by. When I say you're tied to me, I mean you're a human descendant. My blood is part of you. Your first love, Cordelia, she died in your reality years ago after being tricked by the fallen Power that called itself Jasmine. Told she was made part demon, she wasn't part demon. Healing power comes from above, not below and she could heal both bodies and souls. She was also a human descendant of gods."

"I know that. If I'm in another reality, is the Cordelia here in danger of that?"

"Yes, the ones behind it all, they want the world to run the way they think it should. They play their games with the human lives they're supposed to be safeguarding. But not just your Cordelia's or Faith's. Your friends, Buffy and Willow as well. In this reality, long ago, they moved against the Elders and the Elders lost. In yours, the Powers lost. Jasmine was still cast out of their membership and means to take this world for herself, as she tried to do in your reality. You need to find your counterpart and help him, he's in danger."

"Why?"

"He's more than you, until you became a whitelighter you were a human descendant of gods and that meant you had certain gifts. You were a human Oracle, I know your Elders would have told you that."

"They did, what makes him different?"

"He's a living chaos nexus, in the wrong hands he's a magical bomb. The Powers have negated his influence over his friends because he interferes in the Powers plans for them. And like any bomb, one wrong move and it'll blow."
