The burning feeling recites and the glowing light on her skin slowly dissipates, Fallon grumbles and manages to lift her head to look around... she's in a flat that much she can tell, but who's? She manages to get up onto her feet, and walks around the flat, where is she? The doctor told her he's never far behind, wonder where he is? That's if he told the truth? But then he didn't seem like he would lie to her... but then everyone lies.. Fallon shakes the thoughts away.
She walks over to a table and sees some photographs, a pretty looking family by the looks of it, she spots a frame with a picture of two young woman and a young man, she picks it up and notices on the frame it says in fancy writing brother & sisters, she frowns a little, making her think of Dean & Sam... how are they? Are they okay? She just wants to be back with them.
She puts the frame down when she clocks a pile of letters, she picks one of the letter up and reads the name on it,
Martha Jones? Who is she?
Obviously must be the owner of the flat, hopefully she knows me and I'm not about to jailed for housebreaking.. that would be something arrested in a world you don't exist in technically.
Fallon wanders around some more when she finds herself in the kitchen, her stomach rumbles, she's starving, really starving, only decent thing she finds is a microwaveable noodles, she settles on her one of the couches with them and a packet of pickles chips/crisps whatever you want to call them..and waits...
Sometime later she hears a wheezing noise and she can't help but stare as the big blue box that's she's been told is the Tardis appears in front of her,
damn that blue box is amazing.
She hears a young woman speaking as she comes out the door "Home. You took me home?" The doctor nods not seeing the frown on the girls face "In fact, the morning after we left, so you've only been gone about twelve hours. No time at all, really."
Martha sighs "But all the stuff we've done. Shakespeare, New New York, old New York?"
Shakespeare? New new York? I stand corrected that blue box is amazing
The doctor nods "Yep, all in one night, relatively speaking. Everything should be just as it was. Books, CDs, laundry. So, back were you were, as promised." He picks up some underwear from the clothes rack
okay Mister. I think you must be the doctor-...drop the girls undies before you give her a red face.
Fallon decides she maybe been silent for too long and interrupts their conversation "Shakespeare?"
The doctor and Martha turn towards her "Spoilers" they both say at the same time and Fallon frowns "yip really hate that word"
The doctor grins at Fallon, and then he pulls out a note book from his pocket, "Fallon... so good to see you again... beautiful as always, where you last been.. obviously not Shakespeare yet"
Fallon looks between the two of them "well actually this, I've never met either of you yet, this is my first proper jump"
Fallon watches as the man's face drops a little, before he puts a forced smile on his face "No matter, time for a proper introduction, I'm the doctor, this is my tenth face and next to me is Martha, she's already met you"
Fallon smiles and gives a slight wave to the girl "nice to meet you both I suppose... sorry Martha I helped myself to food.. Oi come to think of it doctor, future you didn't tell me jumping made me really hungry"
The doctor laughs a little "Yeah future you learnt to carry some sort of food with her"
Fallon nodded "noted."
Martha cleared her throat and looked at the doctor in disbelief "This is it?"
The Doctor glances at Fallon and back at Martha and tugs at his ear "Yeah, I should probably er-" He is interrupted at making up an excuse when Martha's phone rings and the answering machine starts up.
oh this is starting to feel awkward..
Martha's voice presumably comes on the machine "Hi, I'm out. Leave a message."
Martha glances at them both wincing in embarrassment "I'm sorry."
Fallon flashes a smile at her.
There's a beep and a stern woman's voice comes through on it "Martha, are you there? Pick it up, will you?"
The doctor gives an amused look and raises an eyebrow at her.
Martha rolls her eyes a little, "It's Mum. It'll wait."
The woman's voice continues on with her message "All right then, pretend that you're out if you like."
At that Fallon giggles a little and Martha shoots her a look and Fallon stops at that,
whoops touchy..
Marthas mother continues her message "I was only calling to say that your sister's on TV. On the news of all things. Just thought you might be interested."
Martha sighs and turns on the television, They all turn to look at it and see an old man speaking about something "The details are top secret"
Fallon notices the same girl that was in some of the photos she was looking at earlier standing next to an elderly man who is making an announcement, must be Martha's sister Fallon realises which Martha confirms when she hears her say to them "How could Tish end up on the news?"
The man on the telly continues on "Tonight, I will demonstrate a device which will redefine our world."
Fallon frowns a little she's got a bad feeling about the man.
Martha scoffs "She's got a new job. PR for some research lab."
The doctor glances at Fallon and the frown she has on her face and frowns as well at the TV when the gentleman on the tv states "With the push of a single button, I will change what it means to be human."
Yeah that ain't good..
Martha cuts the Tv of putting it back on to stand by and turns back to the doctor leaning against the Tardis staring at the doctor while he's too busy staring at the Tv with a pensive look on his face.
Martha brings him out his thoughts when she says to him "Sorry. You were saying we should?"
The doctor looks at her and nods "Yes, yes, we should. One trip is what we said."
she really would like to be anywhere than here right now..
Fallon sits on the couch still eating the pickled chips watching this awkward experience in front of her.
She watches as Martha's face falls and watches the doctor casually ignoring it.
Oh Fallon realises, Martha has a crush on him... wonder if the doctor knows?
Martha continues to frown and she says a little sad but as a little flirtatiously "Yeah. I suppose things just kind of...escalated."
The doctor chuckles and grins at her "Mmm. Seems to happen to me and Fallon quite a lot"
it does? Probably..Fallon contemplates.
Martha looks back at the doctor and leans in slightly and whispers "Thank you. For everything."
The doctor smiles sincerely at her "It was my pleasure."
He glances over at Fallon and signals to her to come, she watches as the doctor goes back in to the Tardis and she gets up.
what the hell is going on? Why is he so eager to dump this girl?
She stops in front of Martha and smiles slightly at her and Martha smiles a bit back at her "I don't really no you yet but honestly don't think it's the last you've seen the last of that mad man yet... oh and nice pickled chips btw or crisps to you I suppose" Fallon says to her as she hold the packet up before walking in to the Tardis.
Martha shakes her head with small smile on her face.
When Fallon walks into the Tardis still munching, she notices the doctor standing at the console and he glances at her with a wide smile "ah me and you, you and me...how do you fancy a trip to the moon, or we can go watch a star be born.. or dancing in the 1920s?"
Is he for real?
Fallon just stares at him and the smile drops from his face "you are annoyed, why are you annoyed? how annoyed are you on the scale of 0-100 and can I fix this?"
Fallon puts her finger on his lips to silence him, and he pouts when she does.
honestly this man can talk..
she shakes her head "I'm not annoyed, just confused, what's wrong with that lovely woman Martha you just left? She seems really down about it..do you want to talk about it?"
The Doctor sighs "I promised her one trip and then it went to more than one trip, well besides it's better she goes back to her safe little life" He turns back to the console working on it.
Fallon scoffs a little "She's not a child, she's a grown as woman, who I'm sure can make her own decisions, is this what you do pick them up and then Chuck them out?"
The doctor gives her an offended look "what? of course not, I can't say much Lovely, things happen in your future..my past, it still a little raw"
okay not really looking forward to all that..
Fallon frowns a little bit just nods "okay... though I am kinda surprised you left, I thought the whole speech that old guy did about changing what means to be human, I thought that would be right up your street to be fair."
The doctor freezes and turns to face Fallon and laughs and presses a kiss to her forehead "oh absolutely up my street lovely, oh yes"

The Tardis Materialises back in Martha's living room and she looks surprised that it does, but so delighted either way, The doctor pops his head out the Tardis "No, I'm sorry. Did he say he was going to change what it means to be human?"
It's a few hours later and here Fallon was sitting at the mirror in her room, fluffy towel wrapped around her begrudgingly getting ready for this event, she hates wearing dresses, and dressing up in general, but she will be a good girl and play along for once.
She takes her time putting on some light makeup, some mascara and some lipstick, she decides to curl her hair and pins some of it up in a half up-do, the dress she's picked is a deep off the shoulders sequin red dress with a thigh split, she chooses some black heels to go with it.
Once she was fully dressed Fallon turned to look at full length mirror that's in her room, she peers in it and she pleasantly surprised how she looks.
she looks hot for a change.
She heads to the console room as spots the doctor at the console facing away from her but he seems to of heard come in "finally, I was ready ages ago, lucky we have a Time Machine eh?"
Fallon chuckles a little as she approaches him "I wasn't even that long, you're a TimeLord aren't you supposed to be very good with time?" Fallon teases him.
"Hardy ha, it doesn't work like that, also we TimeLords aren't exactly-" his words die on his tongue when he turns to face her, his mouth dropping slightly.
oh maybe its too much... maybe not enough?
Fallon stares back at him as her hands go to the side of her dress self-consciously "um is this okay? It's very out there and not me, but I liked it, maybe I should of went for something else" Fallon rambles out as her hand twist slightly with nerves and at his silence.
The doctor still doesn't say anything but stares at her taking her fully in, she decides to comment on his outfit "You look dashing with the bow tie"
The doctor finally comes out his stupor and smiles at her "You looks very beautiful Fallon, and no you shouldn't of chosen anything else to wear"
The doctor stares at her, its taking all his will power not to reach out and touch her... to pull her to him.
Fallon smiles at his words and bites her bottom lip "Thanks."
The doctor glances at her biting her lip and he quickly turns away and presses a few buttons, yip it was getting harder, god damn it Fallon you are killing me here, he thinks to himself, it's taking all of his will to not do anything, to constantly remind himself that this is early Fallon.
Thankfully he's saved from trying to do anything when there knocking on the Tardis door, the doctor bounds down to the Tardis doors and opens them up, before turning to Fallon "ready to go Lovely?" Fallon nods and heads out the Tardis after him.
Martha is there waiting and she gushes slightly at the doctor "wow aren't you looking all spiffy this evening?"
The doctor nods not really grasping that she trying to flirt, Martha's smile drops a little she was hoping for him to compliment her or something.
man this guy is oblivious..
Fallon rolls her eyes a little and glances at Martha with a smile before saying "Wow you looking stunning, that dress is just gorgeous"
Martha instantly perks up and smiles at Fallon "You are too kind, but you look really beautiful as well, where did you get the dress?"
Fallon shrugs "From my wardrobe in the Tardis, dunno how or why"
Before Martha can ask anything else, The doctor butts in "let's not get into the mechanics of the Tardis and let's get going, honestly you humans like a good chinwag"
The doctor grabs Fallon by the hand to get a move on and both Fallon and Martha glance at each other and playfully roll their eyes at his antics.
They continue down towards the event not far from where the doctor has parked the Tardis, chatting as they walk, Martha had been telling Fallon a little about herself and that she was a trainee doctor.
Fallon smirks and says teasingly "oh so we could say you're the proper doctor then"
The Doctor glances at Fallon when she says that "Oi cheeky" as he pokes her in the side playfully, smilling when she laughs.
As they walk The Doctor starts to play about with his bow tie making it squint and says nervously to them "Oh, black tie. Whenever I wear this, something bad always happens."
Fallon snorts a little at his comment while Martha replies back flirtatiously "It's not the outfit, that's just you. Anyway, I think it suits you. In a James Bond kind of way."
The doctor pauses before asking in a feigned nonchalance tone of voice "James Bond? Really?"
He glances at Fallon and she looks him up and down with a taunting smirk "oh yeah I totally see it, licensed to thrill not kill"
The doctor flushes a little and mutters underneath his breath "every time without fail"
They arrive at a building labelled Lazarus Laboratories, and walk into the reception room, where there was lots of people mingling around while in the centre their was a big white circular dais.
On a closer look on it was man-sized frosted glass chamber and four upright posts, slightly curved at the top to aim at the chamber.
What the hell is that? Actually more to the point what's it going to do?
As they are staring at machine as soft music played in the background, a waiter walks past them with food "Oh, look, they've got nibbles! I love nibbles." The doctor gleefully says as he grabs one and tosses it in his mouth, Martha gives a snort of laughter at his antics whereas Fallon takes a glass of champagne of another tray and downs it "this is going to be a long night, I'm too sober for this"
The doctor glances at her after she says that and rolls his eyes and bops her on the nose, she swats his hand away "stop that" she whines and he giggles a little at her annoyance.
Martha clears her throat, and they stop when they see Martha's sister Tish approach them "Hello."
Martha gives her sister a smile and greet her with a hug "Tish" "You look great" Tosh complimented her as they broke apart, but then she gets right into it what she really wants to know "So, what do you think? Impressive, isn't it?"
Martha looks around and nods "Very."
"Oh And two nights out in a row for you. That's dangerously close to a social life." She teases Martha a little, as Martha jokes back "If I keep this up, I'll end up in all the gossip columns."
Tish leans in and says quietly "You might, actually. You should keep an eye out for photographers. And Mum, she's coming too. Even dragging Leo along with her."
"Leo in black tie? That I must see." Martha scoffs before remembering the doctor and Fallon are standing next to her and she points at them.
"This is, er, the Doctor and Fallon" Fallon politely smiles while the doctor shakes Tish hand saying between his nibbling on the nibbles.
"Hello." Tish stares at the both of them before looking back at Marta "are they with you?"
Martha was unsure how to answer that "uh yeah?" Tish looks between the three "But they're not on the list. How did they get in?"
Martha pauses unsure what to say when the doctor butts in "actually we are on the list, Doctor John Smith and my Wife Fallon Smith" he says it so smoothly like he's said it plenty of times before.
wife? What the? Goes through Fallons mind.
Tish not taking his word for it pulls up her list and sure enough their names are on "oh yeah here you both are"
Fallon gives the doctor a weird look how did he get them on the list so fast? The doctor sees the look she gives him and he can't help but smirk and give her small wink, he just loves making her puzzled especially when she's an early Fallon.
The doctor turns to the subject at hand and interjects "So, this Lazarus, he's your boss?"
Tish looks back at the doctor and nods her head "Professor Lazarus, yes. I'm part of his executive staff."
Martha decides to pipe in to the conversation "She's in the PR department."
Fallon looks between the sisters and can actually see that Tish is offended by Martha and she confirms it when she snaps back at Tish "I'm head of the PR department, actually."
Oh dear sibling rivalry.. god she misses Dean and Sammy so much..
Martha's face drops a little "You're joking."
Tish haughtily retorts back "I put this whole thing together."
The doctor growing impatient with this whole conversation interjects quickly as he looks over at the chamber "So do you know what the professor's going to be doing tonight? That looks like it might be a sonic microfield manipulator."
Tish stares at him and then mutters to Martha "He's a science geek. I should have known. Got to get back to work now. I'll catch up with you later"she nods at Martha before walking away.
Once she walked away, the doctor turns to the two woman "Science geek? What does that mean?"
Fallon chuckles as she takes a drink of another glass of champagne she managed to get between the conversations.
God she really loves champagne..
Martha smirks at him as she replies "That your obsessively enthusiastic about it."
The doctor gives a smug look as he smugly replies "Oh, nice."
Fallon shakes her head for a smart man he's sometimes seems so utterly clueless.
The doctors eyes scan the crowd to see if he can see anything out of place and he takes a slight closer look at the chamber again, he glances at Fallon, and sees Fallon on what looks like her third glass of champagne she's uncomfortable here but trying to cover it up with drink, I will need to cut her off from it soon and maybe take her somewhere really spectacular to make up for being in this crowd, he Contemplates in his mind.
He is brought out of his thoughts, when he someone call for Martha, The three of them turn around to greet the caller, Martha leans in and gives the older lady a hug "Mum! So good to see you"
Francine hugs her back but gives her a suspicious look "All right, what's the occasion?"
Martha gives her mum a confused look "What do you mean? I'm just pleased to see you, that's all."
"You saw me last night." Francine points out, Martha tries to dodge any more questions by quickly saying "I know. I just miss you."
Before turning to her brother and playfully punching him on the arm "You're looking good, Leo."
Her brother Leo laughs a little and looks around before looking back at Martha "Yeah. If anyone asks me to fetch them a drink, I'll swing for him."
Francine gives a suspicious look to the doctor and Fallon making Fallon feel even more, uncomfortable "You disappeared last night." Francine states with a bit of an edge.
Martha shrugs "I just went home."
"On your own?" Francine pushes giving the doctor a hard look as he just grins back.
"This is a friend of mine. The Doctor and his...wife Fallon"
Francine looks at them both again "Doctor what?" Martha rolls her eyes slightly "No, it's just the Doctor. We've been doing some work together."
"You all right, mate?" Leo asks him before shaking his hand before introducing himself to Fallon giving her a slight appraising look over, Fallon gives him a smile back before answering "nice to meet you both" The doctor places his hand on the lower part of her back when she steps back as he curses himself for showing slight jealousy.
The doctor turns and puts his hand out for for Francine to shake which she takes as he says to her with a smile "It's lovely to meet you, Mrs Jones. Heard a lot about you."
liar, liar Doctor..
"Have you? What have you heard, then?" She says back coldly.
damn wonder why she's so hostile towards us? Fallon thinks to herself.
She watches the doctor start to ramble again. "Oh, you know, that you're Martha's mother and. Er, no, actually, that's about it. We haven't had much time to chat. You know, been busy." The doctor says to her tugging his ear a little awkwardly.
Francine pushes some more "Busy? Doing what, exactly?"
The doctor chuckles a little sparsely "Oh you know. Stuff." Luckily the doctor was saved by the lights dimming a little and the sound of cutlery against a glass getting everyone's attention.
"Ladies and gentlemen, I am Professor Richard Lazarus and tonight I am going to perform a miracle."
Both The doctor and Fallon frowns at that, when she suddenly gets a flash through her mind of a large weird looks creature, hovering over some lady before it's gone, Fallon puts her hand on her head as she looks around.

The doctor notices this and places a soothing hand on her back as he listens to the continued speech from Lazarus "It is, I believe, the most important advance since Rutherford split the atom, the biggest leap since Armstrong stood on the moon. Tonight, you will watch and wonder. Tomorrow, you will wake to a world which will be changed forever." He tells the room proudly.
nothing good is going to come from this, she can feel it...
He steps in to the chamber, A pair of lady scientists start up the machine and press a big red button, the machine comes to life and the four columns start to oscillate and rotate around the chamber as they pour energy into it.
Fallon can see everyone in the room looking at the machine in amazement, but when she glances at the doctor, he has a look of horror on his face.
whatever is happening is not good.
The machine seemed to go on for ever when a alarm starts to sound and it snaps the doctor into action "Something's wrong. It's overloading." Sparks start to come from the controls before smoke starts to air, the doctor gets out his sonic screwdriver and starts to work on the machine.
A rich looking lady starts to yell "Somebody stop him. Get him away from those controls!"
Fallon freezes for a moment when she notices it's the same woman she just had a flashing image of in her head.
somethings going to happen... hopefully she can prevent it..
She's brought out her thoughts when she hears the doctor snap at the woman "If this thing goes up, it'll take the whole building with it. Is that what you want?"
The woman tries to continue to stop him, Fallon moves her back a little and sighs "Look he knows what he's doing, let him work and it will be fine" The snobby lady relents and steps back.
The doctor must of being doing something very right thankfully as when he pulls out a big power cable, the whole contraption starts to slow down before it eventually stops, Fallon is surprised when Martha pushes to move her out the way when the doctor shouts to get it open, she's feels the mixture of annoyance and impressiveness at the human girl's braveness to open the door not knowing what's going to come out it.
When Martha opens the door a young man staggers out of it, the whole gasp in surprise and the old rich hag looks delighted, the young man opens his arms and says rather smugly "Ladies and gentlemen, I am Richard Lazarus. I am seventy six years old and I am reborn!"
And with that last comment Fallon know this night is going go shit.
