The group entered the tower, seeing multiple flights of stairs. They went up them, fighting a lot of Heartless along the way. Advin and Sora couldn't wait to meet the king's teacher from long ago. They believed they could learn more about where he could be and learn more about the heartless and those mysterious enemies back in Twilight Town.
They make it to the top floor after fighting off all of those Heartless. "Heartless, Heartless, Heartless! Things haven't changed a bit!" Donald said, stomping one of his webbed feet on the floor. "It's a good thing we're on the job, then," Goofy added. "So… the worlds aren't at peace after all?" Sora wondered. "Maybe Yen Sid might know more about the Heartless," Advin added, getting them to nod.
The group makes it to the Sorcerer's loft, where an old wizard sat at a big desk. It was none other than Yen Sid himself. Donald and Goofy instantly bow as a form of respect to him. "Master Yen Sid! It's an honor!" Donald said, closing his eyes. "Hey there," Sora said, waving at the wizard. "It's nice to meet you," Advin said, also waving at him.
Needless to say, Donald and Goofy were shocked slightly at the sibling duo. "Sora! Advin! Show some respect!" Donald scolded them. Yen Sid gently waved downwards at the angry duck, calming him down. "So, you two are Sora and Advin. Have you two seen the King yet?" Yen Sid asked them.
"Yes, we did, Master. But we didn't get a chance to talk to him," Sora replied, scratching the back of his head. "Yeah, he took off on us when we saw him," Advin added. "es...the King has been quite busy of late. Therefore, it would seem that the task of instructing you four falls upon my shoulders. You have a perilous journey ahead of you. You must be well prepared," Yen Sid said, shaking his head.
Sora and Advin were shocked to hear him say that. "Wait, we have to go on another journey? We were looking for our friend Riku, that way we can go back to the islands," Sora told him. "Yeah, how are we going to do that when we're on this journey?" Advin asked the old wizard.
"Yes. I know. However, everything in your journey, Sora and Advin, is connected.
Whether you will find your way home to the islands... Whether you will return
alone or with your friend... And, whether or not the islands will still be
there. And the key that connects them all is you, Sora and Advin," he told them, making them look at each other.
"Wait.. we're the key?" Advin asked in disbelief. They hold out their hand and their keyblades appear in their hands. "You two are the chosen ones for the Keyblades! The two of you are connected and have the keys that will open the doors to light," Yen Sid told them with a nod.
Sora and Advin nod at him, understanding what . Yen Sid looks at Donald and Goofy who quickly stand up straight and nod. Yen Sid waves a hand over the table and a thick book appears. He makes it float into the air and spin toward Sora and Advin. It opens and lands at the edge of the table. They look at the book.
"This book contains valuable knowledge you will need for your journey.
Study it carefully. Once you have finished, we will speak of the enemies you two
will surely confront," Yen Sid said, leaning back in his chair while they read it.
The Beginning" - Each journey gives rise to chance encounters, and each
encounter brings forth a farewell. When a farewell leads to a journey, the
worlds open their hearts. Those chosen by the light, or ensnared by darkness.
Friends who share the same bonds, though their paths may differ. When you doubt
the path trod thus far, when the hand you held is lost to you, gaze anew at the
heart that once was...for all the answers are within.
"Interlude" - A long dream. A sad farewell, hanging in the air in that "world
between". What is reality? What is an illusion? The path chosen by the young boy
leads to his memories. When caught in the stream of the days and nights going
past, gaze anew at your steps...for there all confusion will end.
"The Future Story" - Will the day come when this battle, born of confusion,
Will it end? It is different things to different people. Can the reality be that
which is hidden? The reason is mere existence. Still, memories can be believed.
Be not afraid. Entrust your body to the soothing waves of your memories. By and
by, your fleeting rest will be over...and everything will begin.
They slowly started to understand what the book said. "But this doesn't explain why the Heartless are still running around," Sora said. "Your past endeavors did prevent an immense effusion of Heartless from the great darkness; make no mistake about that. However, the Heartless are darkness made real-and darkness lingers yet in every heart. The Heartless are fewer. But while darkness exists in a single heart, it will be difficult to
eliminate them," Yen Sid explained to them.
Sora, Advin, Donald, and Goofy all sigh in desperation. "Gawrsh, that must mean… if everybody's heart was full of light, them Heartless'd go away!" Goofy exclaimed. Yen Sid nodded at what he said. "Now it is time to speak of the enemies that you will encounter," he told them. They were ready to learn about what they would be facing during their journey.
Yen Sid waved a hand and a replica of Donald and Goofy appeared on the wall. It then changed to a Shadow Heartless. "If one such as you, Donald, yields to the darkness in their heart, they too will become a Heartless. But you know this. The Heartless are always lurking and ever seeking to capture new hearts. Never let your guard down! Now
Then…" he started, waving his hand again and a Dusk Nobody appeared next to the Shadow.
"At times, if someone with a strong heart and will-be they evil or good-becomes a Heartless, the empty shell they leave behind begins to act with a will of its own," he told them as the Shadow image disappears. He told them all about the Dusk, which is a common form of the Nobodies that they saw. Some are bigger than others. Although they don't truly exist. They seem to have feelings, but it is false. They pretend to have hearts.
Two more Dusks appear around Sora and Advin. "On your journey, you must be vigilant. For you will encounter a large number of Dusks. They will attempt to do you harm," he warned them. He then told them about the Organization XIII, who the Nobodies have formed into a powerful group.
"What do they do, Master?" Advin asked him. "While Heartless acts on instinct, Nobodies function in a higher manner. They can think and plan. And it seems they are working towards a goal. What that goal is, we do not know. The King sensed the danger, and journeyed forth to fight it. He found the dark realm's Keyblade, and with it, closed the door. Now he's traveling from world to world, fighting the Heartless as he seeks the
answer to the riddle of the Nobodies and Organization XIII," he explained to them. "We better go find the King first," Sora clarified. "But where could he be?" Donald asked. "Well, we won't know 'til we look," Goofy said confidently.
"Right! The King has to know where Riku is. The two of them were together in the realm of darkness when we closed that door, guys. Well, after we defeated Ansem," Advin told them, getting them to nod. Yen Sid observed what clothes the siblings were wearing, which looked smaller on them. "Before you guys go, perhaps more suitable clothes will be in order. They appear to be too small on you two," he said, motioning to a door next to them. "Through there, you two will find three fairies who will create appropriate garments,"
They looked down at their clothes, seeing that he was right. Donald and Goofy snickered a bit. "Gawrsh, you two are sure growing," Goofy commented. "Oh. Guess we didn't notice," Advin said, moving her legs around. "I guess so," Sora said, blushing a bit from embarrassment.
They giggle and pull at their clothes nervously. They went to the room next door, where three fairies, Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather were talking in the corner of the room. The group of four stood in the doorway. "Me, Advin, you guys, Riku, and the King. Advin and I don't care who this Organization is or what they're planning," Sora stated, getting Donald and Goofy to look at the siblings.
"With the six of us, nothing will stand in our way, right?" Advin said. "Yeah!" Donald agreed. Sora and Advin walked over to the fairies, who turned to the siblings with a smile. "Well, look who it is, dears! Sora, Advin, Donald, and Goofy!" Flora, the red fairy, exclaimed when they saw them. "Oh, if you're looking for clothes, you've come to right place!" Merryweather, the blue fairy, exclaimed, floating over to the duo with Flora.
"I'll do the designing!" Fauna, the green fairy, said, holding her wand with both wand. Merryweather and Flora gently pull Sora and Advin over to them so they could do their work. Fauna sends out a spell that turned Sora and Advin's clothes green. Needless to say, Merryweather didn't like this and she said, "Ohhh, that'll never do!" as she flicked her wand at them and their clothes turned blue.
"Now, now, dears," Flora said, flickering her wand at them, turning their clothes red. "But don't you like this better?" Fauna said, turning their clothes green again. The siblings were looking helpless while their clothes kept changing colors. After a few minutes, they spoke up finally. "Aw… would you just decide?" Sora complained, holding his hands out slightly. "Please because this is getting annoying," Advin grumbled, her hands on her hips.
This caused the fairies to gasp and giggle slightly. After talking for a second, they came to a decision. "Alright, then. Together now, dears. And no more squabbling," Flora told them. They turned their spells onto Sora and Advin at one. There was a bright light around them for a second. Then, the light fades, revealing their new clothes.
Sora's clothes turn black with red and gold bands. He had fingerless gloves on each hand. As for Advin, her outfit was dark red with black short sleeves and long black pants. She had black gloves that went up from her elbows to her knuckles. Both her and Sora wore small chained necklaces around their necks with a crown hanging from it.
"Oh, my!" Flora exclaimed. "Oh, it's lovely!" Fauna said. "Oh, yes! These two look amazing," Merryweather said. The siblings look at their outfits and approve of what they wore. Their keyblades appeared in their hands after a few seconds. "Now those garments aren't ordinary," Flora told them. "They have very special powers," Fauna agreed.
Flora then whipped up two orbs that glowed brightly as it floated in front of them. "Take the orb, dears," Fauna told them. They reach for the orbs and they take it in. "And watch what happens," Merryweather said to them. Then, the siblings were struck with an immense power. There was a bright light that flashed and their clothes turned to a bright red. Each had a second keyblade in their other hands.
"Whoa!" they both said, looking at their keyblades. "Wow!" Donald said in amazement. "Two keyblades!" Goofy said, just as amazed as the duck was. "This journey is gonna be twice as difficult as your last," Merryweather warned them. Sora bent over and sighed. "Awww.." Advin complained, dropping her head.
"Those garments also have special powers - but you two will have to discover them while you're on your journey," Flora reminded them. The siblings look at their outfits and their keyblades, knowing what they had to do. "Alright, we'll do our best," Sora nodded at them with a smile. "Thanks a lot, you guys!" Advin said with a smile and a nod.
"Oh, and there's something else for you - from Master Yen Sid," Fauna told them. "Oh boy!" Donald exclaimed, jumping up in the air. They left and went back into the hallway, where Yen Sid motions them over to a window. Then, a red and yellow gummi ship rises into their view. "Hey, it's the gummi ship!" Donald exclaimed.
"You guys ready to go?" Sora asked them. "You know it," Advin replied, nodding her head with Donald and Goofy. They then stand straight in the old wizard's presence. "Now, just a moment," he said, making them relax a bit. "Because of your previous journey, the worlds have returned to their original states. It means the pathways to them have disappeared," he reminded them.
"How do we get around them?" Donald asked. "Do not fear. If what the King suspected proves true, the worlds have prepared new pathways along which you may travel. These pathways may be utilized by unlocking special gates. How these gates are opened, I'm afraid I do not know... However, the Keyblades will serve as your guide. When a beam of
light radiates from the Keyblades, return to the Gummi Ship. Though the worlds
may seem far apart and out of reach, they nonetheless remain connected by
invisible ties. As do our hearts," he said to them.
"Our hearts are connected…" Sora said, putting a hand to his chest. "On the same path…" Advin said, understanding what Yen Sid meant. "Alright, let's get going," Sora said, making them nod. The group of four stand up straight in front of Yen Sid. "Master Yen Sid!" Donald exclaimed. "We sure do appreciate the help," Goofy added.
They give a salute to the wizard before running down the corridor, ready to start their journey.
