Jasiri and the lion guard arrived at the watering hole, the place was empty, everything as quiet as can be.
'I do not like this silence.' Ono said, clearly worried about Kion.
'Where do we go now Jasiri?' Beshte asked Jasiri.
'I know they went up that hill, but more I don't know.' Jasiri said, she looked at the ground, clearly upset.
'Jasiri, it's okay.' Fuli said.
'It's not! We need to find him!' Jasiri said, anger and anxiety not mixing up well.
'Ono, take a look around.' Fuli told Ono.
'Affirmative.' Ono said before flying away.
'Why aren't we moving! We can't just wait for Ono to return right. We have to split up, find Kion!' Bunga said desperately.
'Zira and the outsiders are dangerous, if we split up, we could all get hurt.' Fuli told Bunga.
'Come on, I can't just sit here!' Bunga exclaimed.
'I'm sorry little B, we gotta wait.' Beshte told Bunga.
'I can hear roaring up ahead.' Ono said as he came flying back. 'It's very hard to see around here though, I don't know where to go.
'Then we should go in the direction I saw them go, hope for the best.' Jasiri said.
'Honestly, best thing we can do.' Fuli responded.
'Well what are you all waiting for, let's go!' Bunga said, running ahead, the rest following closely behind. The team went up the rocks and walked into the creepy cave with lava.
'The lava is very active.' Ono noticed.
'Kinda cool.' Bunga commented.
'Quiet everyone!' Fuli exclaimed. She was as frustrated as the rest, but she needed quiet. 'I hear something.' She said.
'Is that.' Jasiri said, trying to find out what it is she was hearing.
'Roars, Kion must be there!' Fuli said, finishing the sentence. The team followed Fuli and Jasiri who could hear the roaring in the distance. It got louder, louder, and louder. Suddenly, it went quiet.
The entire team stopped in its tracks as the roaring stopped.
'This could mean 3 things.' Bunga commented.
'This is not the time Bunga.' Fuli told him.
'No I mean this serious.' Bunga said. 'This could mean 3 things. The lionesses have let Kion go and he's fine, the Lionesses are attacking us, or…'
'Kion.' Fuli said.
The team entered through a narrow tunnel, Beshte barely able to fit through it.
'Well I mean, yes, but.' Bunga continued, but he was cut off by Fuli.
'No guys, Kion!' She said before running through the tunnel.
The others quickly followed, going through the tunnel and ending up at the small area.
'Oh no!' Jasiri commented. Everyone was silenced. There all alone laid Kion. He didn't respond. He had claw marks every where, it didn't look good.
'Kion!' Bunga said, quite freaked out.
'Guys, get it together. Our best way to help him is to focus!' Fuli told the team.
'What do we do Fuli?' Ono asked.
'Ono, you have to warn Rafiki back at the pride lands.' Fuli said.
'On it.' Ono said, flying away immediately.
'Bunga, go ahead of us, but not to far, deal with any hyena's or other out landers we might come across.
'Okay.' Bunga said before running himself.
'You carry him,' Fuli told Beshte.
'On it Fuli.' Beshte said. Quickly grabbing Kion before everyone made their way back towards the pride lands.
Bunga ran ahead, he could hear Janja laugh in the distance.
'Sup Bunga, all alone I see.' Janja told Bunga, coming down a cliff to say hello.
'I have places to be, so, taste this!' Bunga said. Proceeding to fart very loudly, the air around him turning green, the smell unbearable.
'Ugh, you're to stinky anyway!' Janja said before running away.
'Way is clear guys.' Bunga yelled back, he knew the cliffs would make the sound end up in Fuli's ear, so Bunga could continue running quickly.
Ono flew across the pride lands with speeds he didn't know he had. If he had time to think he would've thought about how maybe he could finally beat Fuli with this speed, but there is no time for that. Simba saw Ono coming. 'Hey Ono, could you tell me where-'
'No time your majesty, I'm sorry your majesty!' Ono said as he raced by to the lion guard lair.
'He must be in a hurry.' Nala told Simba.
Ono arrived at the lair, Rafiki was still paining.
'Rafiki!' Ono said. Landing and catching his breath.
'Everything okay Ono?' Rafiki asked,
'No, Kion was attacked, he needs help!' Ono exclaimed.
'What! Where is he?' Rafiki asked desperately.
'I think the guard is bringing him here.' Ono told Rafiki.
'Thanks for letting me know. We cannot keep this hidden from his majesty though.'
Ono stared at the ground for a moment, how could anyone deliver such news, TO THE KING! 'I'll do it.' Ono said.
'Please do!' Rafiki said, running off to get supplies.
Ono took it slow, calmly flying to pride rock. Simba again saw him coming.
'Thanks for returning Ono.' Simba said.
'I'm sorry for running off your majesty, but, ehh how do I say this.' Ono said.
'Something wrong Ono?' Nala asked.
'Yes, very much so.' Ono said.
'What happened?' Simba asked.
'Kion, he went to the out lands to help a friend.' Ono said,
'To the out lands, alone?' Simba asked.
'He's hurt, we think the outsiders did it, but there was no one by the time we got to him.' Ono said.
Both Simba and Nala gasped in shock.
'Is Kion okay.' Nala asked desperately.
'The guard is taking him to Rafiki now, he is very hurt.' Ono said.
Simba immediately ran off, leaving Ono and Nala alone on pride rock.
Nala looked over the land, and saw the guard approaching.
'Thanks for letting us know Ono. I know what a hard job that is.' Nala praised the bird.
Ono didn't really respond, he himself praying that Kion would be okay. He followed Nala who joined a group standing outside the entrance of the lion guard lair. Everyone anxiously waiting for any news on Kion.
Meanwhile in the pride lands.
'Don't make a sound.' Kiara whispered to her two friends: Tiifu and Zuri.
'Why do we always have to be so quiet, it's not like we are actually going to eat one of the antelopes.' Tiifu asked.
'Yeah, it's so sticky over here.' Zuri commented.
'Thats because you're right next to some antelope poo.' Tiifu revealed.
'Yuck.' Zuri commented.
'It is important to be aware of your surroundings. Watch closely for holes in the ground so we don't trip and mess up our run. And how can we practice if we don't pretend that this is real.' Kiara explained.
'You are the future queen.' Tiifu said, letting Kiara lead the way.
'Shouldn't a queen let others hunt for her?' Zuri asked.
'And who do you think would have to do that.' Kiara joked. 'No, it is important as a female lion to know how to hunt properly. It's the way of the lion.' She explained.
'Ugh, it should be the lion's way for boys have to do all the work.' Zuri commented.
'Can't disagree there.' Tiifu responded.
'Girls, be quiet. We are almost there!' Kiara said.
The three cubs stayed low to the ground, slowly approaching the group of antelopes casually eating the grass in peace. No one hears a sound. Suddenly though, yelling can be heard for a distance. The antelopes look up, see movement in the grass in the distance, and quickly ran off.
'Noooooo, ahhh come on!' Zuri complained.
'Well, their went our chance.' Tiifu commented.
Kiara didn't comment, listening to the high-pitched yells coming through the grass. It wasn't scary, but it sounded like an animal in trouble. Wanting to help Kiara ran towards the sound, searching the grass for the fast-moving yelling animals. She stopped. The sounds were close. Suddenly something bumped against her leg, it was a galago, clearly scared. It wanted to run off, but Kiara put her paw on it's tail so it couldn't move.
'What are you yelling about.' Kiara asked, annoyed that the galago had ruined the hunt.
'Trouble at pride rock, trouble at pride rock!' The galago yelled, still trying to run off whilst Kiara held it in place.
'What? What's going on?' Kiara asked.
'I don't know, but it looked like trouble. I have to warn everyone!' The galago responded.
'Don't do that, why didn't you check with Simba or the royal family first?' Kiara asked.
'They are too busy; something is clearly very wrong. Trouble for the pride lands! TROUBLE FOR THE PRIDE LANDS!' The galago yelled.
'Stop yelling.' Kiara ordered the galago who immediately shut up.
'Yes, your majesty.' The galago responded.
'Don't go stirring chaos before you know what's going on.' Kiara said. 'I'll go check okay.'
'Okay.' The Galago responded. Kiara let go of the animal's tail and found her friends still waiting for her.
'Which animal ruined your hunt princess, because I'd be happy to deal with them for you, future queen.' Tiifu said.
'Nothing important. We need to go to pride rock, the animal said there is something going on there, come on.' Kiara told her friends before running off.
'Do we have to run.' Zuri complained.
'She's the future queen.' Tiifu told her friend.
The girls ran across the pride lands, came over a hill, and saw a group of animals standing in front of the lion guard lair. Kiara stops running, she knows what a crowd like this meant, nothing good.
'Is there a party?' Zuri asked.
'Most likely the opposite.' Tiifu responded.
Kiara started running again, her friends quickly following. Kiara spotted her parents, Simba walking back and forth like he was going crazy and Nala just standing close by him. Kiara ran to her mom, spotting sadness on her face as she came closer.
'Mom, dad, what's going on?!' Kiara asked worryingly.
'Girls.' Nala said, giving a sign to Tiifu and Zuri that they had to leave. The two quickly walking away to leave Kiara with her mother.
'What's wrong?' Kiara asked desperately.
'Kion is hurt, pretty badly I think.' Nala revealed.
'What? Is, is he okay?' Kiara asked.
'Rafiki is taking care of him now, we'll have to wait on him.' Nala explained.
Kiara sat down beside her mum and leaned against her. She saw anger on her father's face.
'Simba, slow down.' Nala said.
'I can't just sit here!' Simba said angrily.
'You also can't go into someone else's territory.' Nala said.
'After what THEY did? Oh, I will pay them a visit.' Simba said, still walking back and forth.
'Dad? What happened?' Kiara asked, realizing they knew something she didn't.'
'Those outsiders they.' Simba stopped himself from saying words he'd regret. 'I should've banished them further!'
'The outsiders did this?' Kiara asked.
'Most likely. The guard said Kion went to the outlands to talk with outsiders about something. I don't think Kion knew about them.'
'No one thought to tell him about them?' Kiara asked dumbfoundedly.
'I guess not.' Nala responded.
'I hope he's okay.' Kiara said, hugging her mother.
'I hope so too.' Nala responded, hugging her daughter back.
Hours went by, no one leaving. Everyone hoping and praying that Kion would make it through. The sun was setting in the distance, many animals struggling to stay awake. Just as some animals started to fall asleep. Rafiki came outside waking everyone up. 'Everyone, wake up, I have news.' He spoke. 'Kion has a long journey ahead, but he's gonna be okay.' Rafiki revealed to the royal family and the guard. Everyone burst in a combined sigh of relief. One probably big enough to blow an animal away in the distance.
'Can we see him? Can we see him please!' Bunga asked desperately.
'Sorry young honey badger. Your friend is not very responsive yet; and needs lots of rest.' Rafiki explained.
'What do we do now?' Nala asked.
Rafiki looked at Simba. 'I'd suggest we take Kion up pride rock so he can begin resting. After that, a lot of important decisions have to be made.' Rafiki said seriously.
'Okay, thanks Rafiki.' Simba responded.
