Before we start, I would like to take a moment to say R.I.P James Earl Jones (January 17, 1931-September 9, 2024). I know he had nothing to with the Frozen movies but he does have an impact in the Disney community for his role of voicing Mufasa in the O.G The Lion King and the 2019 remake (And Darth Vader since Disney technically owns Star Wars). May he rest in peace and his legacy live on.

Without further adieu, on with the chapter

Two Worlds. One Family

Late July 1836

The sun had barely risen by the time Anna was awake & dressed, ready for the days ahead. The few awake servants who passed by her gave odd stares to the princess because seeing her up this early was unusual. Anna was too excited to care or acknowledge them as she made her way to the courtyard. She was wearing a dress that was black outside, with orange underneath. The neck area had an orange turtle-neck collar, with the skirt reaching a few inches past her knees, with a slit showing her orange leggings, and knee-length outdoor boots, with additional accessories such as a brown waist sash and brown cuffs.

Anna jogged over to the royal stables. In there resided Kjekk and two other horses, Tyr & Fjora, who belong to Papa & Mama, respectively. Tyr was a stallion with a black coat, and neatly trimmed black mane & tail. Fjora was a cream-colored mare with a blonde mane & tail, both styled with one lone elegant braid.

The royal stablehand was already up. "Good morning, Princess Anna. You're up early today."

"I promised my parents I would prepare their horses for our weekend getaway. Kai & Gerda are waiting in the courtyard with our gear. Can you help me saddle up my parent's horses, please? I got Kjekk."

"Yes, Your Highness." The stableman made a double take on the princess's hair. Not in her usual twin braids but flowing down, with a braid tied on the back of her head. "Nice hairstyle, princess."

"Thank you! Wanted to try something new."

Several minutes later, all three royal horses were saddled up. Anna guided Kjekk to the courtyard, and the stablehand did the same with Tyr and Fjora.

"You must be pretty excited if you're already up. On a Saturday even." Stablehand commented. "Where are you heading to? The Sommerhus?"

"Oh no. We're going camping ," Anna answered back.

Not wanting to risk exposing Elsa too early, the rest of the castle staff had been told that the royal family were going on a simple camping trip for their weekend getaway. The only ones who knew the truth were Kai, Gerda, Captain Storstrand, and Councilman Gad.

"Camping?" The Stablehand raised his brow, looking surprised by that answer.

"Yeah. What? A king, queen, and princess can't go on a simple camping trip?" Anna casually responded back.

The Stablehand lowered his head apologetically. "My apologies. I did not mean to insinuate that, Princess."

"Hey, its all good. No harm no fowl."

The Stablehand let out a breath of relief. "Where's that handmaiden of yours, Joan?"

"I gave her the weekend and Monday off. I thought she could use some free time while I was away. I mean…It would be weird to bring a handmaiden on a family trip."

"That makes sense. That's mighty kind of you, Princess. Then again, you're always kind so why should I be surprised."

Up ahead, Kai and Gerda stood in the courtyard's center with several large packs. Anna thanked the Stablehand and dismissed him. At first glance, the bags may look like those you would bring on a camping trip. But they hold some cold-weather supplies, including clothing, since Anna and her parents are traveling to The North Mountain.

While the two servants help place the bags on the horses, Anna goes directly infront of Tyr & Fjora. "How are you two this morning? I brought you some sugarcubes." Anna pulls out several of the out of her pouches. Kjekk let out a whine. "Oh, I have some for you, too, you silly horse." Kjekk accepted the sugarcubes from his rider, letting out a huff. Anna rolled her eyes as she fed the other two horses the treats. Both let out pleased sounds.

"I hope you all are rested because we're going on a special trip," Anna told the horses as she petted them. "Everyone else in the castle thinks me and my folks are going camping." She leaned in to whisper to them. "But we're actually going to The North Mountain, so you both might get a little cold. Then again I'm sure you can handle it since Arendelle is a few degrees south of freezing to death. We're going there so my parents can see Elsa's home. Yep. THAT Elsa. Everyone believes she's Joan so they don't know. Not until the time is right, so don't tell anyone."

"Princess, you do know Kai & I are still here, right?" Gerda spoke up.

"And you don't have to whisper. We're the only ones out here." Kai gestured to the mostly deserted courtyard.

"Uh, well…Well, Papa always told me to be careful what you say! You never know who's listening!" Anna explained calmly, trying to suppress the flush on her cheeks. "Anyways, you got everything ready?"

"Everything that you requested, Princess Anna," Kai assured.

"Are you absolutely sure?"

"Yes, Your Highness. We even triple-checked everything on your list for good measure," Gerda maintained.

"Right of course. You both always do everything right. Why am I even questioning you?"

"Perhaps its your…nerves talking, Princess?" Kai hypothesized.

"I-...I think it is." Anna breathed out, facepalming. "Sorry guys. I just want this weekend to be perfect."

"There's nothing for you to worry about. And even if everything doesn't go according to plan, I don't think that would be bad. What matters is that your family is finally getting to spend time together. Not as royals with duties, but a simple family spending time together." Gerda told the princess with a reassuring tone.

"Given everything all four of you have been through, I believe Gerda is right," Kai gently insisted.

An exhale of air came out of Anna. "You're right. I shouldn't be worried. I should be happy that we're doing this at all. Doesn't matter what we do. We're spending time together as a family for the first time in, well…Ever! That's what matters." Anna beamed happily.

"May I ask, Your Highness. Where is Princess Elsa?" Kai wondered.

"She left earlier to make sure things were ready at her…" Anna darts her head around to make sure no one else is listening. "...Ice Palace."

"Ah, right. That would make sense." Gerda let out a brief pause. "Did Princess Elsa really build a palace made of ice?"

Anna hums with confirmation. "It's a beautiful place. Takes your breath away. Maybe one of these days you both can go there to see for yourselves."

"Maybe for a future time," Kai responded. "For now, I don't think either of us is in proper shape to hike up a snowy mountain."

"We have old bones, you know," Gerda laments.

The main doors leading to the castle opened. Four figures walked out: Councilman Gad conversing with Agdar & Iduna, with Storstrand sticking close by. Both monarchs were wearing clothes that showcased a king and queen ready to spend time in the outdoors.

Agdar wore a neatly buttoned black jacket. The jacket had three lines in bronze colors with circles on each end on his chest. The cuffs of his sleeves were red, with the crocus symbol of Arendelle on each one. Dark gray pants were tucked into knee-length black boots. Around his waist was a black belt with a red square-shaped buckle with the royal crest. Around his collar and jacket hem were printed plant stems with leaves.

Idun's shirt had an orange bodice with dark red undersleeves. The hem of her shirt reached her upper thigh, resembling a skirt, and the sleeves were looser and reached her elbows. She wore brown pants tucked into shin-length gray boots. Around her waist is a dark purple sash. Another change is that Idun's hair was down, tied in a low ponytail with a purple ribbon, flowing down her back.

"...And everything is taken care of?" Agdar said to Gad as they walked into the courtyard.

"Yes, Your Majesty. We are prepared to handle your usual weekend duties." The councilman reassured the king.

Agdar turns to Storstrand. "And the kingdom's security?"

"We have every necessary resource to keep Arendelle safe during your absence. You have nothing to worry about, my king. And if we need you for any emergency, I will personally ride over to the disclosed location."

"I think the kingdom is in good hands, dear," Idun told her husband. "Try not to worry."

"I'd take the queen's advice," Gad quipped.

"I'll do my best," Agdar said back.

"Now that's what I like to hear." Idun turns to the two other men. "We'll back as late as Monday morning."

"You guys ready?" Anna called out to her parents once they were close enough to hear.

"Just making sure things are in order, sweetheart," Idun responded.

"Are the horses ready?" Agdar asked.

"Ready and packed with the supplies, papa!" Anna beamed with pride. "With Kai & Gerda's help, of course."

Both monarchs went over to the respective steeds, giving them friendly pets. The family made one more check to see if they had gotten everything. They climbed onto the backs of their horses, grabbing hold of their bridles.

Agdar glances at Anna. "Lead the way."

With a grin filled with pride, Anna commanded Kjekk to start moving, her parents following behind. The royals waved again to Kai, Gerda, Gad, and Storstrand, bidding out cheerful farewells and wishes for pleasant times before passing through the gates.

"Now then…" Gad claps his hands together. "Who wants to help me go through paperwork?"

"Aaaannd this is the part where I leave..." Storstrand calmly speed walks away.

"Kai. Gerda. That leaves you two."

"I suppose I should help with that," Kai agreed.

"I would love to join you both, but since Kai is helping, it falls upon me to make sure the castle stays in tip-top shape," Gerda explained.

"And I'm sure you're torn up about not helping us, my dear," Kai deadpanned.

Gerda let out a chuckle, then kissed her husband's cheek. "I'll bring tea for you two later. Good luck." The older woman makes her exit.

"I suppose we should get started now," Kai suggested to Gad.

The Arendelle Royal Family slowly strolled through the city's streets. The few citizens already out and about stopped to watch them pass by. Due to the early morning hours, the roads were mostly empty, making riding easy without worrying about crowds. This is one of the few reasons the family chose to leave early.

"Such a lovely morning," Idun commented.

"I always forget how peaceful this place at this time," Anna stated.

"You probably remember if you wake up early more often," Idun lightly chided back.

"Why should I? The morning is evil."

"But you'll have to do it often should your time as queen come, Anna." Agdar pointed out.

"I know, papa…" Anna let out a groan. "But that's a future me problem. I'm enjoying sleeping in as much as possible!"

Agdar let out a breath, shaking his head. Idun gave him an amused grin.

"Now, let's pick up the pace. Our destination awaits." Anna tap her foot on Kjekk's side, prompting him to jog ahead.

"Slow down, Anna! Stay in our sight, at least!" Agdar prompted Tyr to jog.

Idun playfully shakes her head. "Some things never change." She gently commanded Fjora to ride ahead.

The royal family soon grouped back together and passed through the town. On the way, they passed by Hudson's Hearth, a boarding house. Outside the steps, Halima was sweeping the front.

"Hey, there's Halima!" Anna waves to her. "Good morning!"

Halima looked up, waved at the trio, giving them a friendly smile. Both king & queen waved back as they and their daughter rode down the streets out of her sight.

"Was that the royal family?" A man steps outside next to Halima.

"They were, Hudson," Halima responded. "I believe today is the day they're going on their camping trip."

"Well that sounds good for them. Where, too?"

"I don't know. And even if I did, I wouldn't tell you." Halima resumed sweeping.

"Why? You don't trust me?" Hudson accused in a joking tone.

"More so I don't want to risk sending leeching journalists to spy on them."

"Fair point." Hudson's expression winced. "Sorry if it came out wrong."

"It's alright. I know you wouldn't break my trust like that. The mama bear inside me just comes out without warning when it comes to Agdar's wellbeing."

"It's no secret that you're fond of him, Halima. You've known the king since he was a kid. I remember how you kept him away from those journalists who ganged up on him at King Runeard's funeral service. That was the only time I've seen you that furious since I knew you."

"Someone had to help Agdar out since Destin no longer couldn't. He was fourteen and mourning his father. Those journalists didn't show any ounce of sympathy for Agdar. They only cared about the details of the battle or kingdom affairs. Not a single one asked how he was doing. Even after twenty-eight years, thinking about it makes me so heated."

"You ain't kidding. Journalists can bee leeches sometimes. More so today than they were back then. Let's not forget how many stopped by in the months following Princess Elsa's disappearance and Princess Anna's birth."

"At least Agdar & Idun handled themselves with them that time. My services were not needed."

"But I'm sure you offered?"

"Oh I certainly did."

Hudson let out a chuckle. "Who needs an army when the royal family has you. Maybe you should've become their bodyguard."

"I appreciate the sentiment, but I'm not suited to that life. I'm only looking out for Agdar and his family." Halima looks in the direction the royal family rode off, too. "They all deserve every happiness they can get."

Marshmallow enters into the foyer of the Ice Palace. Another quiet morning of patrolling was completed. He's been doing alot over the past month. It was the only thing to take his mind off Elsa's absence. Until her departure, Marshmallow never knew how silent things were back in the palace. Yeah, living in a secluded mountain in the wilderness was quiet, but never THIS quiet.

Sounds of distant singing bounced throughout the foyer. Olaf. Marshmallow followed the sound of the singing to the bedroom. Stepping in, he could see Olaf trying to entertain The Snowgies. All appear to look sad. Olaf kept his smile up.

"From the top! A one, two, three!" Olaf stars singing.

"On the Mountain, the mighty mountain

The snowman sleeps tonight!

On the mountain, the quiet mountain

The snowman sleeps tonight!"

None of The Snowgies showed any type of reaction, much to Olaf's disappointment.

"Come on guys, you love this one! Slush! Sludge! Slide! Back me up here!"

"We appreciate what you're trying to do. Olaf…"

"But we're not really in the mood."

"Yeah, we really just want to be alone right now…Sorry."

"But you guys said that yesterday. And the day before that. Last week. And that week beforehand."

Marshmallow moves to Olaf's side. The giant snowman gives a gently firm stare at his older brother. Olaf let out a defeated breath.

"If guys change your mind, you know where to find me."

Olaf marches out of the bedroom with Marshmallow behind him. The door shuts behind them as Olaf stands with his head down. Marshmallow gently tips his giant finger under Olaf's chin.

"Let's go to the balcony room."

The pair of snowmen move to the balcony room. Olaf sits on the center of the floor as Marshmallow shuts the door to give them privacy. The enormous snowman looks at his brother with a worried gaze. Neither say anything to the other. Marshmallow then sits down next to his big brother.

Olaf breathed out. "It's been over a month, Marsh... I figure she'd be back by now."

"I'm sure Elsa's doing fine in Arendelle. She can handle herself."

"I know and you're right, but…" Olaf twiddles his twig hands. "I can't help but worry for her, you know. I was always by Elsa's side, or at least close. And whenever we do get separated it's usually for a short time. This is the longest we've been apart. I don't know how to feel about it. I'm so used to being close to Elsa. I've been there for her since her first few hours of being free from...He Who Shall Not Be Acknowledged. I'm always close by whenever Elsa needs my warm hugs. Without her, my hugs felt more…cold. The whole palace feels colder. I never realized how much warmth Elsa brought here until she left.

Marshmallow tried to formulate the right words for Olaf's heartfelt speech. He could only respond with, "I miss Elsa, too. Since my first breath, my purpose has been to be her protector, just as much as it is yours to be her nurturer. The first thing I did was defend her from a pack of wolves. Like you, I'm also used to being close to her and worrying, so I understand your feelings. But I have faith that she can take care of herself. Elsa's not that same vulnerable little girl who created us."

"...What if she doesn't need us anymore?" Olaf whispered fearfully.

"Don't you dare speak like that. Have you forgotten what Elsa said to you before she left?"

Olaf took a minute to think about it. "That we'll always be her family no matter where she goes?"

"Elsa meant every word and you know it. She may be back with her blood family, but she still sees us as her family. Maybe she won't live here anymore but still loves us. If she were here, she'd agree with me."

It was then the realization struck the little snowman. "You're right, Marshmallow! Why am I saying this weird talk? Elsa will always need us! We've always been there for her! Her living somewhere else doesn't change that!" Olaf exclaimed with his usual cheerful expression but they slowly dampened. "I just wish we knew when she'll be back here."

"Elsa will be back before you-" Marshmallow cut off suddenly. "Know it…"

Olaf noticed the sudden shift of Marshmallow's tone. "You alright? Is there something wro-"

"Quiet! Do you feel that?"

The snowman settled down, quickly catching what Marshmallow was talking about. That's when Olaf felt the aura. The likes that he hadn't felt in over a month. Only one person he knew had a strong aura filled with so much warmth.

Without thinking, Olaf dashed over to the balcony, slamming the doors open. The snowman dangled on the top of the railing to peer at the stairs below. There stood a woman with a hood over their head. Olaf watched the woman remove the hood, revealing her platinum blonde hair & those familiar blue eyes, sniffing in the air with a pleased look.

"Elsa?!"

"Hi, Olaf." Elsa gave a small wave with a smile.

"EELLLLSSAAA!" Olaf leaped from the balcony. Elsa was surprised by the sudden action but managed to catch him, barely managing to not fall over the stairs. Olaf held her tightly to her. "You're back! I missed you so much!"

"I did too, Olaf." Elsa hugged back. "But please don't jump off the balcony next time."

"Sorry. I couldn't control myself! I'm just so happy you came back!"

"I am too, little guy." Elsa gave him one more hug. Olaf then hopped off her. "How about we go inside and see the others."

"Totally! Things have been so quiet since you left! Everyone missed you! They'll be happy to see you back!"

"Let's not keep them waiting."

Elsa followed Olaf back into the ice palace. Marshmallow was already in the foyer. His usual stoic expression changed into his adorable smile once he saw Elsa. The giant snowman dashes over to Elsa, crouching low enough for her to hug him, gently holding her with his hands. He then pulled away to give Elsa space. Marshmallow hovers his index finger next to the side of Elsa's head, attempting to stroke her cheek.

"Missed you."

"I know." Elsa nuzzles into Marshmallow's finger. "There hasn't been any trouble since I left?"

"No trouble at all! Marshmallow has been doing a lot of patrolling. And I kept the palace in place!" Olaf exclaimed with pride.

"And it looks like you both did a good job."

Squeaking noises caught Elsa's ears. All of The Snowgies scampered down the foyer stairs. They stopped at the bottom and gaped at the sight of their creator before erupting into a chorus of happy squeaks.

"Hey you guys." Elsa sat on her knees, opening her arms wide. The Snowgies all jumped into arms. She let out joyful laughter as she tried to hold them all. "I missed you all."

"We missed you too!"

"It wasn't the same without you!"

"We thought you would never come back!"

"Of course I came back. I promised I would." Elsa let The Snowgies hop out of her arms. "Life in Arendelle is nice, but this place will always be my home." She stroked one Snowgie under their chin, then patted another on their head. "I may have my real family back, but you guys will always be my family no matter where I go."

"Speaking of family: is Anna here too?" Olaf asked. The Snowgies followed.

"I want to see Anna!"

"I missed her too! She's so fun to play with!"

"And she's so nice!"

"Anna's coming too but she won't be here till later. She…had to take care of some things first."

"Aaawww! But we want to see her now!" One of The Snowgies cried out.

"I know but there's a good reason for it. Anna's…bringing important guests."

"What guests? Kristoff?" Marshmallow questioned.

"No. Anna's…She's bringing our parents here."

All of Elsa's snow creations gaped at her with the revelation of the news.

"Your parents are coming here?"

Elsa nodded back to Olaf. "It was Anna's idea. She thought now would be a good time to show my parents this place. And to meet all of you. I've been part of their world. Now I want to show them mine. That being all of you guys."

"That sounds wonderful! We're going to meet our extended family!" Olaf shared happily.

The Snowgies all jumped with excitement, squeaking as they did. Elsa smiled down as her more miniature creations cheered and danced with joy. The prospect of them meeting her parents sounded so promising to them. Elsa then noticed Marshmallow had a different reaction. The expression on his face showed that he seemed unsure about something.

"Something on your mind, Marshmallow?"

"Your parents. Do they treat you well?"

"They're... Kind. Gentle. And loving. Mama & Papa are nothing like Fritjof. They never got angry, yelled, or hit me every time I made a mistake. My mama is so sweet. And my papa is very caring. Being with them is amazing. They're-..." Elsa paused, a single tear trailing down her cheek, holding back a sob. "-They're everything I hoped they were."

Marshmallow attempts to wipe the tear away with his finger. Elsa realizes what he is doing and wipes it away. It is clear to the protector snowman that Elsa is not crying out of sadness but joy.

Over the past month, Marshmallow had wondered about his creator's birth parents. Even though he knew that Fritjof had stolen Elsa from them, Marshmallow was skeptical about her going back to her parents. He wanted to believe they were as wonderful as Anna claimed, but there was that nagging feeling of the unknown.

"You're unsure about them?"

"They had fifteen years to find you, yet they couldn't."

Elsa was surprised to hear such harshness from the giant snowman. Marshmallow noticed the shocked & hurt expression. He softened his expression. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to sound harsh. I was-"

"I know and it's okay. It's your nature, and you can't help that." Elsa lifted a hand in reassurance. Marshmallow lowered his head. Elsa patted his leg. "Fritjof never told me anything about my parents. He obviously didn't want me to know, so I'm sure he did everything he could to cover his tracks so Mama & Papa couldn't find me."

"I suppose that makes sense."

"They missed me so much. My kidnapping hurt them a lot. I can promise you that they love me now just as they did before I was taken. My parents are good people. You'll love them. And they'll love you." Elsa glances at Olaf & The Snowgies. "They'll love all of you guys if you give them the chance."

"Yeah. I bet they're the nicest, gentlest, warmest people ever!" Olaf proclaimed. "If they weren't, I don't think Anna would be as nice."

Marshmallow realizes that Olaf did raise a good point. In his wave of bias he forgot that Elsa's parents were also Anna's. Anna had always talked so fondly about them during her secret visits. Perhaps Marshmallow should look past his skepticism and give it a shot.

"I would like to meet them," The Protector told her.

Elsa gave a hug around his leg with a big grin on her lips. Marshmallow could see how happy that made her. He's content with that. Maybe it won't be so bad if her parents are everything she says they are.

She then pulls away. "I know you all probably want to spend time and have questions, but is it alright if I get some quiet time in my room? I had a long walk over here, and I want to straighten myself up before Anna and our parents arrive."

"Whatever you need, Elsa!" Olaf promised, with Marshmallow & The Snowgies nodding in agreement.

"Thank you. I'll check back with you guys soon."

Elsa treks up the stairs leading to her bedroom. The ice wielder moves into her room, casually tossing her satchel onto her bed. She moves her head, scanning around. Everything is mostly as she left it. All the items she had collected over the past ten years sit on her ice desk and tables. Even her handmade map remained where it was. Elsa brings her sights to the table near the window of her ice figurines.

There was the first Anna figurine that Elsa made when she first demonstrated her powers to Anna, then the one with both of them ice skating. Followed by the lone ones of Kristoff & Sven and another of the ice harvester riding on his animal companion that she made not too long after his first lone visit. To think Elsa first meeting with Anna, then Kristoff happened only months ago, yet it felt like years. There are also a few additional sculptures of Anna, Kristoff, and even Sven doing other things. Some alone, some together, and a few with Elsa. And there was some of Olaf, Marshmallow, and The Snowgies. Elsa's sights then stopped on the newest of the figures: The ones of her parents she hastily conjured up when she regained her memories back at the Valley of the Living Rock.

Elsa gently grabbed the mini sculpture of her parents. It suddenly dawned at her that her parents were coming here. She was nervous but also excited. After many years believing to be an orphaned nobody, she finally found her lost family. Something Elsa thought to be long impossible. But here she is, getting ready to show her parents the place she called home for ten years. Elsa examines the figurine's faces. She recalls seeing a portrait in the castle with her parents in this stance with the same neutral expressions. With a twirl of her hands, the firm lines of her parents' mouths curved into a smile.

Elsa placed the figurine back on the table and went to her bed. She grabbed her satchel and opened the flap. Reaching inside, she pulled out Sir Jorgenbjorgen, who she decided to bring with her. Since her father had regifted it back to her, Elsa had slept with the toy everynight

"Hey there. I hope you enjoyed the trip. Sorry if it's too cold for you." Elsa showed the stuffed puffin around the room. "This is where I've been staying for ten years. Pretty neat, huh?" The toy couldn't respond, but Papa had told Elsa he was a good listener. "I'm sure you like it. And hopefully my parents will."

Elsa placed Sir Jorgenbjorgen onto her ice bed. She then glanced down at the dress she was wearing. It was the purple one Anna had bought for Elsa during their outing on Anna's birthday. Elsa loved it but… realized it didn't fit the occasion. Elsa is going to show her parents her world, and she wanted to show all of it.

She hastily dashed over to the chest at the foot of her bed. Elsa pulls out her light blue ice dress and her flats. A few minutes later, Elsa had changed into her ice outfit. Her other clothes in Arendelle were nice, but her ice dress was where she felt most comfortable. However, Elsa noticed something about her dress. Something about it felt…Incomplete. Like the dress was missing something. She pondered it for several minutes before coming up with an idea.

Back in the castle, there were many paintings that portrayed previous rulers of Arendelle. Most had wondrous, flowing capes, including the one of Elsa's late grandfather, Runeard. Those portraits had a sense of grace and strength, which Elsa wanted. Glancing at her reflection on the icy walls, Elsa examined her back, imagining herself with a cape. A giddy grin crept across her lips.

"I am a princess. Might as well dress like one."

Later…

The Arendelle Royal Family rode their steeds on the inclining base of The North Mountain. Before their arrival, they stopped at the glen pond near the mountain where Anna had her first picnic with Kristoff, Elsa, and Olaf three months prior. Anna figured it would be a nice pit stop for her family to put on their snow gear while the horses drank from the pond. That and Anna 'heard the call of nature,' in which her mother in response lightly scolded that Anna should've listened to her warning about not drinking too much coffee before they left.

After all those affairs were handled, they were ready to trek up the mountain. Anna wore a violet cape with matching color mittens & bonnet with a white fluff on the edges. Idun wore a navy blue winter cape with gloves & bonnet in matching colors. Agdar wore an evergreen cloak along with gloves that fit for snow. The trio slowly rode their horses through a section with large rocks and large icicles sticking out on the sides.

"How are you guys doing back there?" Anna called out to her parents. "Staying warm?"

"We're okay, sweetheart," Idun responded back.

"Didn't expect it to be this cold, but I can manage." Agdar tugged his cloak closer.

"If it helps, we're almost there. Just hang on a bit longer." Anna takes another look at the sideways pointing icicles. "And be mindful of your surroundings here. These icicles are longer than how they look."

The trio continues riding along, with the couple trailing behind their daughter. During the stroll Agdar couldn't help but take lingering gazes at Idun. It didn't take long for the queen to notice this.

"Is there something wrong, Agdar?"

"Oh no, sorry. It's just…I can't remember the last time I saw you with your hair down."

"Does our bedroom not count?"

"We're either sleeping or…" Agdar stopped himself, remembering Anna was within earshot. "...doing other things that take focus away, so I don't. I meant seeing it in its natural state. Your beautiful curls flowing down. Brings me back to our youthful days. You really should leave it down more often." Agdar let out a loving smile. "It suits you."

Idun beams back at her husband, feeling touched by the compliment. Then her eyes glance sideways, widening. "Uh, honey, you might want to look ahead," Idun urgently says.

"What do you mean-?" Agdar turns his head around, only to feel the sharp tip of an icicle pushing against his nose. The sudden contact allowed the king to let out a startle yelp. Fortunately, the sharp ice did not even make a cut on his nose. "I see Elsa has a viable defense. These icicles are long…"

"If it makes you feel better, the same thing almost happened to Kristoff once," Anna shared. "Like I said, be mindful."

"I think I get the point." Agdar responded back. Seconds later, he muttered, 'Wait a damn minute?' as both his daughter & wife giggled at his unintentional pun.

"How much further are we from Elsa, Anna?" Idun asked moments later once the family had been cleared from the section of icicles. "At this point we're probably near the summit."

"You're in luck 'cause we're just about here." Anna stopped Kjekk in front of the towering steep rock wall.

"We're not climbing that, are we?" Agdar glances at the wall.

"I don't think any of us bring climbing gear," Idun commented.

"We don't need to climb," Anna stated as she hopped off her horse. She grabs Kjekks bridle and guides him to the side path. "We take the stairs."

"Stairs?" Idun parroted with a raised brow. Her husband has the same confused expression as they both follow their daughter.

Anna faces her parents, gesturing at the sight behind her once they all turned the corner with a smile. "See for yourselves."

Right behind the crowned princess was Elsa's Ice Palace.

The king and queen halted their horses right on the spot. Their eyes widen, their jaws agape in shock and awe. Anna knew this image would be ingrained into her brain for the rest of her life.

Both rulers got off their horses and slowly strolled closer in the palace's direction until they stopped at the base of the stairs. The monarchs admired the towering structure in pure silence. The ice palace was not anything they couldn't even imagine. It was grand, huge, and most definitely beautiful.

"My God…" Agdar breathed out in pure wonder.

"Take your breath away, doesn't it?" Anna walked beside them after getting the horses settled. "Kristoff and I had the same reaction when we first saw it. Wait until you two see the inside." Anna took a step forward on the ice staircase. "Come on! Elsa is probably waiting for us inside. Oh, and watch your step. It might be slippery."

Anna started happily trekking up the stairs. Her parents took their time, each grasping the cold railing. Agdar gently caressed the railing, noting how firm it was despite its fragile appearance. Idun, meanwhile, was admiring the design.

"Incredible craftsman's ship…" Idun whispered loud enough for her husband to hear.

Agdar couldn't formulate the words to respond. For years, he and his wife had studied magic before and after Elsa's kidnapping in hopes of better understanding it. Agdar figured Elsa could make only simple snowflakes, snow mounds, and whatnot. Nothing like the astonishment in front of him and Idun.

It made Agdar wonder: What else can Elsa do?

Anna patiently waited for her parents at the palace's doors. She did not want to rush them. This was a lot to take in, so she wanted to let them go at their own pace. Minutes passed before her parents made it.

"Are you ready?" Her parents nodded. Anna faces the large doors giving a knock. The doors suddenly opened on their own slowly, startling the couple. "Don't worry, it always does that. Come on in." Anna stuck her arm inside, offering her parents to go in first.

The monarchs stepped in with their daughter behind them. The doors closing echoed off behind them. Anna lingered back as she watched her parents look around the foyer with a happy grin on her lips.

Not one person said anything. The only sounds heard were footsteps echoing through the room. Anna watched as her parents' eyes lit up with pure awe each time they saw the stairs, the frozen fountain, the snowflake ceiling, and the high walls—just as Anna did when she first saw this place and Kristoff later on.

It was indeed…magical.

Agdar stood admiringly in front of the fountain, gently caressing it, noting how similar it was to the two back in the castle courtyard. "Elsa made this?"

"She made everything," Anna responded eagerly.

"Wow…" He breathed out in astonishment.

"I always knew Elsa was capable of great magic…" Idun spoke up as she finished examining one of the ice pillars embedded in the walls, walking near the base of the foyer stairs. "But I never figured she could do…this." Amid her admiration, Idun was not watching her steps when she suddenly started slipping. Anna was quick to her mother's side to help straighten her up before the queen fell.

"I got you, mama."

"Thank you, sweetheart."

"You alright?" Agdar dashed over to her.

"I'm fine, Agdar. Just wasn't paying attention to my footing." Idun gave another glance around the foyer. "Got lost in my admiration."

"Can't say I blame you, love."

"Hey, guys." A gentle voice caught the royal's attention to the foyer platform. Elsa entered her family's view and donned her ice dress with a long cape and beautiful snowflake designs. A ray of sunlight peeking into the palace made the dress & cape dimly sparkle. The ice wielder smiled shyly as she moved her braid over her shoulder. "I'm glad you all made it."

"Elsa?" Idun's voice echoed as both she and her husband looked upon their eldest daughter in a beautiful outfit neither had seen before. "You look…different. It's a good different!

"This place…" Agdar looks around the interior. "It's amazing!"

"Thank you." Elsa starts walking down the foyer stairs. "Was the trip up here okay for you guys?"

"It went alright," Anna answered as Elsa reached the bottom. "Though Papa's nose almost got impaled by the ice spikes outside, and Mama almost slipped in here."

Elsa lowered her head. "I'm sorry."

"I'm not implying that it was your fault!" Anna quickly responded back. "Sorry. I should've worded that better. All of that was on me. I'm so used to coming up here that I forget they don't know what I know."

Idun stepped forward. "Anna, please, that was solely on me and your father. Not either of your faults. I should've watched my step."

"And should've watched where I was going," Agdar added. "But everything is all fine. We're…we're not used to being in places like this."

Elsa moves her gaze up. "It's not the castle, or Arendelle. I know that. The North Mountain is cold, desolate, and dangerous. I doubt most people back there would find it appealing. But…this place is my home."

Agdar then got the urge to ask Elsa this question. "Have you really been living here for ten years?" Elsa nodded in response to her father's question. "That means you've been here since you were…"

"Yeah…That young. At that point in my life, all I knew was fear & chains. Then I came here. Where I felt true freedom for the first time in…forever." Elsa's eyes move to the ceiling of the palace, holding her hands together anxiously. "Middle of nowhere. Cold weather. More importantly, no people. It was perfect. Where I can be who I am without anyone hurting me. The mountain's lonely…but at least I was free."

"Oh Elsa…" Idun breathed out a comforting touch on Elsa's arm. "It's…good to hear that you found a place where you felt safe, but you never shouldn't have gone through that. No child should have been living on their own that young. Believe me, I know." Idun briefly paused. "You should've been safe with us, your family. Not living all alone on a mountain for a decade."

"Actually, about that…That's not exactly true." Anna let out a nervous smile. "There's something we never told you guys."

"What do you mean?" Agdar wondered, looking back to Elsa.

"I'm not the only one who lives here," Elsa confessed to him, also giving an unsure look.

"There are other people? Living here?"

"Not people, but-"

"...Fifty-eight. Fifty-nine. Sixty!" An echoing voice caught everyone's attention

"Wait, what's that?" Idun brings her gaze to the top of the foyer stairs.

"Anna, you're here!" Olaf had jumped out of hiding. The snowman slid down the railing, jumping straight to Anna's feet. The princess knelt down and accepted a hug from him.

Idun covered her mouth as she let out a quiet gasp. Agdar subtly jerks his body back, jaw gaped open. Both were frozen in shock at what they were seeing. A living talking snowman hugging one of their daughters!

"I missed you, little guy," Anna said to him.

Olaf pulled away. "I missed you too, Anna. I was waiting for you to get here for a while! Then Elsa told me to give her a minute before I came out. I'm so happy to see you!"

Elsa glances at the snowman and then back to her still-shocked parents. It's not the introduction she intended, but it'll do. "Olaf…" Elsa lowers herself to his level. "There are some special people I want you to meet."

That's when Olaf felt the only other aura besides Elsa & Anna in the room. In that direction were the two rulers of Arendelle. "Are these two-?"

Elsa hummed in agreement. "Mine and Anna's parents."

"Go on. Introduce yourself!" Anna encouraged him.

Olaf waddles over to the couple. "Hi!" He greeted happily, waving his stick arm.

Idun blinked several times, pulling herself out of her shock. "Uh, hello. Little Snowman."

"Are you really Elsa & Anna's parents?"

"Y-yes. I'm Idun, their mother. This is my husband, Agdar. Their father."

Olaf turns to Agdar's direction. "Why is he still looking at me like that? Is his jaw broken?"

Idun turns to see her husband with his mouth open. She nudged his shoulder to snap him out of it. "Agdar!"

The king shook his head. "Sorry. This is…alot for me to take in."

"Don't worry! Anna kicked my head off the first time we met." Unseen by the snowman, Anna's face flushed red with embarrassment. "Now we got that done, my turn to introduce myself." Olaf cleared his throat. "Hi! I'm Olaf, and I like warm hugs!"

Now that was a phrase that both monarchs were all too familiar with. "O-Olaf?" Agdar stuttered.

"That's my name!"

"And...you're alive?"

Olaf glances down at himself. "Yeah, um, I think so..."

"His name is the same one you suggested when we built that snowman when I was little," Anna said with a sweet smile.

"And before that, it was the very first snowman you & I made together, Papa," Elsa revealed.

"Yeah…I did…" Agdar breathed out, looking at Elsa.

"I first built him after I…escaped from Fritjof. Olaf's been by my side for ten years. He helped take care of me when I needed it."

"Your papa…named me?" Olaf questioned.

"I believe so." Elsa turns to her mother. A sudden thought came. "And…I think Mama is the reason why you like warm hugs."

"What?" Idun uttered.

"I only have bits & pieces, but I remember one time I wanted to bring a snowman outside in the sun. You & papa stopped me."

"I…I think I remember that," Idun blurted. "You got upset because you wanted him to feel the sun's warmth because all he felt was cold. I…I suggested another way by-"

"...By giving me a big hug. That was warm," Elsa concluded, eyes lit up with realization.

"Yeah. I did." Idun held her mouth, trying not to burst into tears. "You really remembered that?"

"In a way, I guess."

"How?" Agdar questioned. "Taking away part of the lullaby I used to sing to you, you couldn't remember anything until Anna told you the Love Will Thaw story."

Elsa merely shrugged. "I wasn't the one who named him. It's what he called himself when he first came to life." She turns her head to Olaf. "I never asked why. At the time that name sat right."

Anna's face went deep into thought. "Maybe…your magic never forgot? Pabbie told you that your memories were stored so deep in your subconscious that you couldn't get to them. But I think your magic could. It allowed you to access them. In a way…you never did fully forget Mama & Papa. You just never realized it until recently."

Elsa glances down at her hands in awe. The more she thought about it, the more what Anna said made sense.

Her icy bedroom layout was similar to Anna's & their parents. Looking back it was insane how many things her subconscious never forgot between the bedroom, her father's lullaby, and that flash memory she had when she first stepped into Arendelle in the dead of night to bring Slush home when he snuck away after Anna first left. Small details in her palace reminded her of the castle in Arendelle. Knowing what she knew, it was likely despite forgetting them, her magic never did.

Magic & the subconscious were one hell of a duo, that's for sure.

A sudden gasp of air exhales out of Olaf, eyes widening, pointing to the royal couple. "Oh. My. Goodness. You both were the voices!"

All four of the humans looked at the snowman oddly. Even Elsa didn't know what he was talking about. "What do you mean Olaf?"

"That night you first created me, when I took my first breath the question I asked was who was I? That's when I heard the voices. One was a guy suggesting Olaf. Another was a lady saying I like warm hugs. They sounded so sweet, and loving. I haven't heard them since."

"You never told me that…" Elsa expressed surprisingly.

"Because I saw you and my need to care for you took over. I didn't think that was important and forgot about it. Until now."

"That makes…so much sense. When I made you I wanted a comforting presence. I just did it on a whim. My magic must've tapped into that memory." Elsa smiles at Olaf, stroking his face. "And that's how you came to be."

"Woah...Looks like you guys went back way further than any of us thought," Anna commented to her parents.

Olaf stepped closer to the monarchs. Seconds pass as the snowman's eyes never leave the couple. Agdar & Idun didn't know what to do nor what to say. Without warning, Olaf ran towards their legs, hugging them with a cheerful grin. The connection to their auras that he barely felt only moments ago grew as strong as Anna's. Idun is especially connected strongly with him. A mutual feeling of care for both Elsa & Anna. And she felt super warm.

"I knew I would love you guys, but now I love you even more! I'm glad you're family."

Idun gently patted his head, giving a sweet smile. She had only known Olaf briefly and had already felt love towards him. Accepting him as part of the family. "We're happy to be a part of it."

Olaf glanced up to Agdar with an adorable look in his eyes. For that brief second, Agdar could only see little 5-year-old Anna. Then to 3-year-old Elsa. The snowman's joyous nature reminded Agdar of his sweet girls when they were little girls. A warm feeling grew in his chest as his lip slightly curved upward. He, too, patted Olaf's head. "I…I'm happy, too."

"Olaf…" Idun spoke out to him. "I just want to say...Thank you, for being there for Elsa."

"Oh not a problem! Thats what family does!"

Elsa & Anna were sitting at the bottom steps of the foyer stairs. They watch happily as their parents accept Olaf into their lives. Anna playfully nudges Elsa's arm. "Told ya that they would love him."

"Olaf, yes. I'm not sure about the others…Especially Marshmallow," Elsa stated.

"Who's Marshmallow?" Idun's voice caught their ears.

"He's my little brother!" Olaf exclaimed happily.

"Brother? There's more of you?" Agdar questioned.

"Uh-huh!" Olaf nodded his head eagerly. "He should be in the balcony room. We should take you guys up there to meet him!"

"I think that's a good idea." Anna agreed, turning to Elsa.

"I just need a few minutes. Marshmallow isn't used to new faces." Elsa got to the top of the foyer stairs. "…And he can be overprotective of me." That was the last thing she said going up further.

"Sounds like someone I know," Anna gave her father a mischievous grin.

"I wasn't THAT overprotective of you," Agdar argued.

"Respectively, dear, I call bull on that," Idun said calmly.

"What does a bull have to do with this?" Olaf whispered to Anna.

"I'll explain some other time."

Minutes later, the royal family followed Olaf up the stairs to the balcony room. Anna was behind the snowman, with her parents behind her. The parents were again taking time to admire this section of the palace.

"What do you guys think of this place?" Olaf called out to the monarchs.

"It's truly a marvel," Idun uttered.

"I don't have the words to describe all of this," Agdar stated. "Elsa built all of this when she was only 8?"

"Eh, not everything. Most stuff here was added in the years afterward. But for the most part yes. With one hard stomp, Elsa built our home. A paradise untouched by man. A place blessed with love! A simple life where we live in peace! Perfect for us snowfolk! Speaking of which, here we are." Olaf waddles to the door to the balcony.

Anna stopped her parents before they went further. "Before we go in, I just want to say…Try not to freak out."

"Why would we freak out? We got the concept of living snowmen." Agdar wondered.

"Yes but Marshmallow is not what you might expect."

"I'm sure we can handle him, sweetheart." Idun insisted with assurance.

"Aaaalllright. Don't say I didn't warn you."

Anna and Olaf opened the large doors. Like before, she allowed her parents to enter first. The rulers first caught the large, shimmering chandelier on the ceiling.

"Now that's a chandelier," Idun remarked.

Agdar, eyes still glued to the ice-made chandelier, took a few steps back to get a better look. A large object met his back. The king turned his body around and was greeted by Marshmallow staring him down. The sudden shock of the giant made Agdar let out a surprised yelp.

"Good God!" Agdar clutched his chest to soothe his startled heartbeat, panting hard.

Idun was quick by her husband's side, holding his arm to sooth him. Yet her gaze cannot help but look back at the behemoth snowman in awe.

"He won't hurt you." Agdar was pulled back to reality and lifted his eyes to the top of Marshmallow's head to see Elsa resting on top.

"I'm assuming this is Marshmallow, then?" Elsa nods to confirm her mother's answer. "Anna was right. Not what I imagined."

"I did warn you." Anna stepped into the room, moving close to Marshmallow. "How ya doing, big guy? You missed me?"

Marshmallow's neutral expression changed to that of a happy one. A pleased hum echoed off of him as Anna hugged his leg. Marshmallow stroked her head with his finger.

The king & queen were perplexed by the sight. Here they see a behemoth of a snowman that could definitely kill them. But he was gentle with their youngest, petting her head while she hugged his leg like a stuffed animal. Nevermind that their eldest was casually lounging on the creature's head.

"He's magnificent." Idun stepped forward with her arms outstretched. Marshmallow jerked his head up, letting out a warning growl that made the queen stop.

"Sorry. Like I said, Marshmallows are not used to new faces. He's just protecting me," Elsa explained.

"Marshmallow's a big sweetheart!" Anna affectionately pets his leg. Olaf then joined in.

"And this is him on a normal basis. If he was really mad, he'd grow ice spikes all over his body. And I mean everywhere! Back. Arms. Legs. Hands. Even sharp, spiky teeth!" Olaf demonstrated this by making a chomping sound. "We call that his 'Battle Form' because he'll battle anyone or anything dangerous to us!"

Idun could only stare at Olaf with unsure, widened eyes. Agdar winced at the image of getting chomped by sharp icicles.

Anna let out a nervous smile, gritting her teeth. "Thank you, Olaf…I'm sure they loved knowing that."

"Well…At least we know someone was keeping you safe, Elsa," Idun commented.

Marshmallow continues to stare down at the monarchs. Elsa felt his apprehension. "It's okay. They're family. Give them a chance. Like what you did with Anna? Please?"

The giant snowman glances at his creator. He could see the begging in her blue eyes. Why was he doubting her? Marshmallow had always trusted her judgment. She was right about Anna and she turned out to be Elsa's younger sister. Since the girl had been visiting, Marshmallow noticed how livelier, and happier Elsa had grown over the five months since meeting Anna. Then came Kristoff who brought some more happiness to Elsa's world despite a rather cold first meeting.

Why would her parents, the creators of his creator, be any different? Yes, they couldn't find their daughter for fifteen years, but things are not always so simple. From what little she shared, Elsa spoke highly of them.

Looking straight at Elsa, Marshmallow let out a grunt. Elsa gave a proud smile.

She nudges him to help her down. Marshmallow hovers his hand over, allowing Elsa to grab onto it. Her parents watch as she grips, holds on, and gets off Marshmallow's massive hand in perfect synch as it lowers to the floor.

"Did he...say something to her?" Idun asked Anna.

Marshmallow takes a few steps close to the queen. "I think he wants to meet you," Anna answered.

Marshmallow lowered his head close to Idun. The queen froze, surprised by the sheer size of the snowman. His whole head was as big as herself and her husband. Again, Idun outstretched her hand but then stopped herself.

"Are you alright if I-?" Idun stammered.

Marshmallow let out an undistinguished grunt. "He's okay with it," Elsa spoke up,

Idun removes her glove, pressing her hand on Marshmallow's chin. Slowly, the queen strokes her hand across his snowy skin. One would never think a creature made of snow could be so imposing and powerful.

"I'm Idun. And you're certainly a sight to behold." Idun breathed out excitedly. "You know…you remind me of some...special individuals I knew as a kid. Their presence was always…breathtaking in the best way. Like you."

Marshmallow already decided that he likes Idun. So much of herself reminded him of Elsa. She even shared the same eyes Elsa has. And spoke so kindly to him. But now that left The Father.

Standing a few feet behind, Agdar remain frozen in his spot. He watched his wife interact with the behemoth snowman. Marshmallow was being gentle with Idun. That should've been enough to convince him. Yet that was the voice in his head. The voice of doubt that always sounds similar to his late father, Runeard, that held him back.

Anna noticed her father's apprehension. She understood what he was thinking. She too was unsure of Marshmallow when Anna first met him. But Anna had an idea to help her father connect with Marshmallow just as she did. She went over, holding onto his wrist and guiding him over.

"Anna? What are you-?" Agdar stammered.

"Marshmallow won't hurt you, I swear. Just let me show you. Please Papa." Anna implored.

Agdar almost argued back but bit back his tongue. If it had been months ago, he wouldn't have stopped himself. But Agdar promised to let Anna make the right calls without his interference. Taking a deep breath, the king turns to his youngest, staring into her eyes.

"I trust you."

Anna smiled back, leading her father to the giant.

Marshmallow stares down at the man before him curiously. Agdar hitched his breath but showed no fear of any type. The stare-down lasts only seconds. Marshmallow slowly tilts his head to his side. Instinctively, Agdar mimicked the same gesture.

This did give Anna an idea that might help. "Take off your glove."

"Pardon?"

"Just do it, please?"

Agdar nodded, slowly taking off a glove from one of his hands.

"Now stick your arm out." Anna demonstrated. "Like this."

Agdar did the same as his daughter showed. "Okay. Now what."

"Glance away. Don't look at him."

Agdar was confused by his daughter's request, but he would not challenge it. He gave her his word. Agdar looked down. Nothing happened for a long minute. Then, he felt a gentle touch of cold on his palm. The king looked back up to see Marshmallow's ginormous, bone-crushing hand with sharp ice fingers gently pressing it against his own.

When Anna told her father to remove his glove, Marshmallow knew precisely what she was doing. He watched as The Father, Agdar, complied with his daughter's instructions. Marshmallow could feel the uncertainty in the man but did not let that overcome him. When Marshmallow's hand met Agdar, he felt his connection to the man's aura grow strong, just as the same Idun had when he patted his face. Marshmallow could feel the king's love and desire to protect Anna and Elsa. Perhaps Marshmallow felt a kindred spirit within him.

Minutes later, Marshmallow pulled his hand away.

Agdar moves his head in Elsa's direction. "You said he protects you?"

Elsa nods in response. "Has been for ten years. Saved my life on a few occasions."

Agdar then brings his attention back to Marshmallow. "Thank you. For keeping her safe all these years." He managed to breathe out.

There was no denying Marshmallow the love both of Elsa's blood parents feel for her. Yes, they had failed to find her for fifteen years, but that wasn't necessarily their fault. They are here now, loving her. There was one last thing he needed to do for full confirmation.

"You…Protect Elsa?" Marshmallow said to the king.

"With my life, if it comes down to it," Agdar vowed without hesitation.

"You…love her?"

"Of course we do. We've always loved Elsa, even when she was gone."

"Nothing will ever change that," Idun joined in, holding her husband's hand.

Marshmallow lowers his head to their level, blowing out a puff of cold mist out of his mouth towards the monarchs. Frost covered their faces and their hair. Some even got onto Agdar's mustache.

Anna let out a chuckle. "He likes you."

The rulers brush the frost off of them. That taken care of, they both glances around the room. Then to Olaf, then Marshmallow.

"Elsa…"Agdar was the first to speak. "All of this…its just…I don't know what to say. This place…and your creations…wow."

"They're not just my creations. They're my family, and they'll always will be." Elsa held Olaf's hand with one. The other she held Marshmallow's, who had her hand gently with his index finger & thumb. "I…hope you can accept them as yours." She said with hopeful eyes.

"I don't see why not. Wouldn't you say so, Agdar?" Idun said to her husband.

"We would be happy to have all of your snowmen as part of the family, Elsa." Agdar declared.

"And do you mean, ALL of them, right?" Anna clarified.

Right before either of the parents could respond, squeaking noises entered the room. It got closer to the two older adults. The couple glances down to see all of The Snowgies around their feet.

"Oh my goodness!" Idun squeaked, jumping so fast she almost slipped again. Fortunately, Agdar caught her this time. The monarchs gaped at the tiny snowmen.

"Mama. Papa. Meet The Snowgies," Anna introduced with joy.

"More snowmen you created?" Elsa nods with confirmation to her father.

"Do they help care for you too?" Idun wondered.

"Or protect you?" Agdar guessed.

"They just…do whatever," Elsa shrugged.

"But they look cute doing it."

Anna knelt down, placing her hands out flat palm up. One of The Snowgies jumped on to her hands. The princess stood back up, holding the Snowgie in her parents' view. This Snowgie jumped over to Idun, who barely caught him. The tiny snowman stared back at the couple with a grin. Idun uses her other hand to stroke this snowgie's head. It nuzzled into her finger, letting out a happy squeak. The sight did warm the pair's hearts.

"They do look adorable." Agdar petted the snowgie's head, which also nuzzled into his touch.

"That one is Slush!" Olaf shared. "Let me introduce you to the rest."

From a few feet away, Elsa watches Olaf introduce all of the names that belong to each of The Snowgies. Her parents tried to memorize which one was which but weren't really successful. Elsa couldn't blame them. It took Anna months for her to figure out who's who. Most of them at least. And Elsa wasn't that upset. She was happy.

Happy that her two worlds are together as one family.

I would've posted this maybe a few days earlier but for those of you who didn't know, I live in the state of Florida and last week (September 26 2024) we got paid a visit from Hurricane Helene, which was a Category 4 Storm. I'm fine, and so is my house but I can't same for my mom. Don't worry, she's still alive but her & her boyfriend's (my unofficial stepdad) house got flooded. A lot their stuff got ruined & damaged and mom injured her big toe badly that she has to wear a special cast. So they're currently not having the best time right now. I along with my siblings are doing what we can to help them out but yeah.

On a much more lighter note...

This took forever and a day to write. You think writing a chapter that you've been building up for 7 years would be easier to write but I guess not. And it ended being longer than planned (this chapter is about 10K+ words). But I made it and I'm happy. This chapter is something I've been anticipating to do since I started this fic, which was Agdar/Agnarr & Idun/Iduna meeting Olaf, Marshmallow, and The Snowgies. I think it makes it extra special considering the parents not got the chance to meet them in canon unless Frozen 3/4 changes that.

Speaking of which we finally got confirmation that Frozen 3 will be released in November of 2027 (Good Lord, I'll be 30 when movie comes out...).

Update on my revision progress: The first 25 chapters of this fic have been revised.

Agdar's horse Tyr is named after the Norse God of War (didn't want to use Odin nor Thor since they're too well known). Idun's horse Fjora comes from a frozen comic. I don't know the name of this comic but a saw a screenshot of it online. Fjora was the name of a horse Elsa had prior to Nokk. And while we're on the topic of horses, Kjekk was actually Idun(a)'s horse before she and her husband took a dip in the Dark Sea (whoops).

Anna's black dress & hairstyle are indeed the same one from Frozen 2.

Agdar's clothes were based on Mattias' clothes. I thought it would kinda adorable if Agdar/Agnarr had and outfit that honored his bodyguard. And Idun/Iduna's clothes were based on her Northuldra clothes she had as a kid with some fall colors as well (which may or may not be the clothes they both wear once the Enchanted Forest debacle goes down...).

The bit where Olaf talks about hearing Agdar & Idun's voice were taken from a Frozen short called Once Upon A Snowman. It's a short that show's Olaf's POV from where Elsa first created him until his first meeting with Anna & Kristoff in the first movie. When he was deciding his name, he heard the voices of young Elsa & Anna playing calling him Olaf. I thought that would've been a cute idea to include here.

One more thing. I want to ask you all this: Should I change Agdar & Idun to their canon names, Agnarr & Iduna? At the time when this fic got published in 2017, it was still debated on if the Snow Sister's parents names were either Agdar & Idun or Agnarr & Iduna, with Frozen 2 finally confirming the latter. In the version I have on Archive of Our Own (AO3) I gave them their canon names because it was after Frozen 2 came out when I posted this fic on there, but here I still kept it to their unofficial ones because that's the names I've been using for this version of Anna & Elsa's parents since day one. But I really want to hear from you guys.

Keep Agdar & Idun for this version? Or change it to Agnarr & Iduna?

Thanks for the favs, follows, and reviews.
