Odd Jobs with Successful Ultimate Worker
Shadow is seen sleeping on his red and black futon with a somewhat peaceful face that also looks serious at the same time, then the alarm clock next to him went off loud making groan of annoyance of the sound and move his right hand to press the button on the top stopping the alarm. The former black hedgehog opens his eyes seeing the familiar scene of the rocky ceiling that is the cave where the Crimson Squad have been living for a little over a year, and now with Shadow in the picture though he isn't bother by that as he used to live alone back on Mobius.
Shadow is about to get up from his futon though he only lifts his body up a little when he felt something keeping him down and looks down noticing an extra lump under the futon, he moves the sheet away to find Hakura is sleeping inside the futon with him. And what's extra shocking to him is that she is naked as he sees her large breasts press against his chest and her face cuddling close to his neck.
"Seriously, Haruka?" Shadow sighed.
"Five more minutes, Shadow." Haruka smiled, wrapping her arms around his body.
"I thought I told you three days ago not to do that." Shadow reminded her as he sat up and shake Haruka a little to wake her up.
"You did, but my body wouldn't listen because of how it has been attracted to your sexy body." Haruka explained with a playfully innocent act.
"I'm still surprise you even managed to sneak into my futon. Usually, no one has ever managed to sneak up on me and the ones who did try were either trying to kill me or wanting to pet my quills." Shadow remembered how there was this one little girl who really wanted to pet him, and he had no choice to give in so he wouldn't piss off the parents, and the little girl would stop the annoying puppy eyes.
"Guess that means I'm a special case, almost like the universe is telling us that we are meant to be together." Haruka stated, stretching her arms up while her naked breasts are expose.
"Don't kid yourself, we've just known each other for over two weeks now." Shadow pointed out while looking away to not stare at her breasts.
"But that just means we can get to know each other more." Haruka cuddled her large J-cup breasts on him.
Haruko enjoys seeing Shadow's face turning a little red and try to keep up his cool and dark expression pretending that nothing can faze him, but she knows that deep down that he is a man, and all men could not resist to be charm by the sexiness of a young woman like herself.
"Hey Shadow, Homura and Yomi just finished making breakfast and…" Mirai walked and stop upon seeing Haruka naked, cuddling with Shadow looks embarrass.
"Mistress Haruka! What did we talk about invading people's spaces!" Mirei pushed Haruka away from Shadow, with her hand on her butt.
"I was only making sure he is warm from the cold night." Haruka proclaimed.
"That's bullshit and you know it!" Mirai said not buying that story at all.
"Anyway, just join us for breakfast while I get Haruka to put on some clothes." Mirai said before pulling Haruka to the back of the cave.
Shadow let out a sigh as he is glad that the situation didn't go any further if Mirai didn't step in like that and got up putting on his clothes, rolled up his futon, then join the rest of the Crimson Squad at their little table.
"Morning, Shadow." Homura greeted.
"Morning, Homura, girls." Shadow greeted back as he sits between Homura and Hikage.
"We may have overheard that Haruka gave you quite the morning." Yomi mentioned as she eats her scrambled eggs.
"Yeah, that woman seem to really want to get close to me." Shadow exclaimed.
"Haruka can be a bit strange at times, but she does mean well and promised to be careful with her potions. Most of the time." Homura stated.
"Like the one she tried to make me drink to see if it can make my quills like octopus's tentacles a few days after we met up with Sonic and the others." Shadow recalled.
"Okay, so the girl can be hard to get used to, but nevertheless, Haruka one of the most important people in my life and that includes you." Homura said strongly, patting Shadow on the back.
"Oh my, if I didn't know any better, I would say you were trying to make a move on him." Haruka teased, now fully wearing clothes and walking to the small table with Mirai.
Homura gasp from what Haruka said causing her face to blush quickly move her hand away from Shadow.
"What?! Don't be crazy, there's nothing going on between us! Nothing right now!" Homura protested of whatever perverted thoughts the puppet master Shinobi is thinking of.
"Whatever you say, leader." Haruka giggled.
"So, what are we going to be doing today?" Shadow asked.
"I already finished the mail delivery for five days when that postman broke his leg, and we also got the big pay for helping that woman walking her dogs." Hikage informed.
"I was almost dragged like a ragdoll because of that big dog." Mirai remembered how scary it was.
"They wouldn't stop barking at me." Shadow said hoping to never deal with dogs ever again.
"Well, not to worry because I think the next job, we'll do will earn us some good money and good workout for our Shinobi training." Homura believed.
"Well, whatever we do, I'm sure with Shadow by our side, we can get them done without any problem." Hikage pointed her chopstick at Shadow.
"Just as long as they don't waste my time." Shadow said.
"Not everything has to be serious secret missions and stuff, I know it's a pain to do some random jobs, but we have to do what we can to get by." Mirai pointed out.
"She's right, just made the most of it and hope that we can get more tasty meat into our bellies!" Homura smirked.
"There's more to life than meat, Homura." Yomi said.
"Same can be said about you and bean sports." Hikage said with usually blank face.
(Junkyard)
The Crimson Squad and Shadow was seen digging through the few hills of trash while wearing gloves and masks covering the lower half of their faces, Haruka picked up a rotten eaten apple and threw it away from the sight.
"Ew! Remind me again why we're even here to begin with?" Haruka asked, gross out of being surrounded by trash.
"The man who hired us said his wife lost one shoe that she needed for complete a dress for a party, and he said he'll give us a bonus if we can return is clean." Shadow answered.
"I know we have to keep on taking odd jobs and all, but can we agree not to take on jobs that involves stinky smells and other gross stuff." Mirai begged.
"I may not be able to feel emotions, but my nose doesn't like the smell at all." Hikage said picking up a dead rat and threw it away in a random direction.
"AAAAAHHH?!" Yomi screamed.
Which landed on top of Yomi's head making her run around in circles until it fell off, and Shadow stops her with his hands on her shoulder.
"Easy there, I know being here isn't something anyone would want, but I promise the sooner we get this job done, the sooner we can leave." Shadow promised calming her down.
Yomi just stare at Shadow in the eyes feeling something from her heart and her cheeks blushing a bit from the comfort.
"Okay." Yomi nodded.
Shadow looks at another trash pile and look through the junks and other broken stuff within the trash until he spotted that object they have been looking for.
"Hey guys, I think I found something." Shadow called out, showing the lone sapphire high heel shoe.
"Let's check just to be sure." Homura said as she pulled out a small photo from between her breasts and held it next to the shoe in Shadow's hand.
"Yep, no doubt about it, that's the shoe we've been looking for." Homura nodded.
"But it's all dirty, I don't think we'll be able to get it clean from all the trash and get rid of the smell." Haruka feared they won't be able to get their bonus.
Shadow has an idea how to get the bonus they want though he believes it would be a waste of time to use it, but he wants to help his precious girls to make enough money to have more food in their bellies.
"(Wait, why did I suddenly think of them as my precious girls?)" Shadow thought confused.
"Hey Shadow, we're leaving." Homura said.
"Hold on, I can help with the dirty shoe problem." Shadow pulled out his Chaos Emerald.
(Later)
"Oh, thank you so much! My wife will be happy to have this back!" A man excited holding the shiny and clean sapphire shoe.
"It was all in the days work." Homura smirked.
"And here's the money I promised along with the bonus." The man handed Homura the yens.
"Thank you, sir. Call us again if you need any job to be done." Homura bowed along with the others before they left.
"Man, Shadow, I didn't expect you to use your Chaos power just to clean a shoe." Homura said still surprise of this act.
"I don't like doing the job half done or fail, and since I'm stuck with you girls in this world, I might as well help you girls live better." Shadow explained.
"Sounds more like a tough guy gone soft." Mirai teased.
"Anyway, with that job done, we can get on with the other five we agreed to do." Homura said making the other girls groan.
"Why exactly did we agree to do five jobs in one day? It's so not fair!" Yomi complained.
"Suck it up, we have to get them done by the end of the day." Hikage stated.
"That would be hard even for Shinobi like us, but I believe we can get them done with Shadow's help and we might be able to get home before the sun sets." Homura smirked.
"That is, if the great and mighty Ultimate Lifeform isn't afraid of doing more little odd jobs." Homura mocked him a little.
Normally, Shadow wouldn't let insults get to him and just play it cool except when it comes to those thinking the "Ultimate Lifeform" title is a mere joke makes him mad a little, and he would go out of his way to prove those fools wrong.
"So, what are we going to do next?" Shadow asked with a smirk.
And so, the Crimson Squad went on to perform the other five jobs: the first job they did was a simple pizza delivery to twelve locations around in Tokyo, Shadow took the job for himself and deliver all the pizzas within the minute shocking the boss from seeing the bags all empty. The next job is cutting down at least six trees down for a woodshop store, and the girls and Shadow cut down each tree for each of them. Third job is spreading the word about a special sale at a store for everyone to see, Homura has Shadow place posters to other places as she and the girls are spinning some signs. Fourth job is cleaning the windows on one side of a twenty-story business building, Shadow uses his superspeed to clean one half side while the rest of the girls try to clean the other half with their Shinobi skills even though it took them a little longer after Shadow finished.
Now, they are at the final job which is helping some workers at a hospital clean the patients that have been here before or currently here getting treatment and recovery from some injuries.
"My, my, you girls are certainly helping like sweet little children." An old lady smiled.
"Just trying to get by with what little we got on ourselves." Homura smiled.
"That young man is also doing very well, almost like he's some kind of superhuman." The old lady commented seeing Shadow perfectly folding the clothes and placing them in the plastic bags.
"Well, he can be a bit edgy but he's a cool guy once you get to know him." Hikage said.
"Oh, then are you planning on taking the boy as your husband?" The old lady asked with a giggle.
This made Hikage's cheeks blush despite her expression still blank, her emotions on the inside is screaming of both happiness and embarrassment, she just turns around and walks away.
"How about you, Homura?" The old lady asked.
"Huh, me? Married with him?! I don't think so, we've only known each other for a short time and…" Homura said blushing and just flipping the shirt she is holding, but accidentally made a small rip on the neck part.
"Oh no, I'm so sorry!" Homura sobbed.
"Don't worry, this one was probably too old to be use anymore. So, I'll just throw it away and say nothing happened." The old lady said.
"You are too kind." Homura bowed.
"Hey, I got some more laundry that needs cleaning." A guy walked in with two bags of laundry.
"Cool, just set them here." Homura said and suddenly went pale of shock upon seeing the man's face.
The face she never thought to see again after all this time from her past and her breathing becomes a little heavy.
"Homura, are you okay?" Shadow asked, placing a hand on Homura's shoulder that snaps her out of the trouble thoughts.
"Y-Yeah, I'm okay. Let just get to work." Homura said getting the laundry bags, and realize the man here is not the same as the one she knew before.
"You didn't try to do something to Homura, did you?" Shadow asked the hospital employee.
"No, all I did was bring in the laundry bags." The guy said, and then looked at Homura's breasts bounce as she flaps one shirt in the air.
The guy smile of some perverted thoughts which was short live when Shadow punch the guy out of the laundry room.
"Sorry about him, that young man just can't stop his eyes from wandering on a woman's body." The oldy lady angered as well.
"Next time, make sure he's well behaved." Shadow said and looked at Homura.
(Crimson Squad Cave)
"Man, we managed to finish everything with an hour left before sunset!" Mirai cheered, jumping in joy.
"I must admit, today has sure been eventful for us, all because of our sexy chaotic man." Haruka winked at Shadow.
"Which means we can get another wonderful meal for dinner!" Yomi added happy.
"Would you like to suggest what dinner we should have tonight?" Hikage asked Shadow.
"I'm good with whatever you girls decide. I'm going to see Homura." Shadow said walking out of the cave.
Meanwhile, Homura is seen doing some training with her six swords slashing away the air around her and practicing on some of her moves though it looks like she's not all there.
"Homura." Shadow appeared behind her causing Homura to flinch and swing her right arm at him though he blocks it with his sword.
"Ah, Shadow! You should know better than to sneak up on me like that." Homura shocked.
"I just wanted to check if you're okay since the hospital job." Shadow said.
"Uh, of course I'm okay, what makes you think otherwise." Homura asked swinging her swords around.
"Well, you froze up when that pervert guy showed up with the laundry bags." Shadow pointed out and Homura froze.
She didn't want to talk about it, and the painful memory of that day as her hands shake though they stop when Shadow holds them.
"If you don't want to talk about, that's your business. But I think talking about it helps you feel better, at least that what a batty woman I know said." Shadow stated.
Homura felt her heart flutter from Shadow's words, even though she only knows him for a more than two weeks, she can sense that he is the trustful guy she can count on as a smile form on her face.
"Sure, I'll keep that in mind." Homura nodded which made Shadow smile back.
"Come on, the girls are trying to decide what to have for dinner tonight." Shadow said as he and Homura walk back to the cave.
"I'll have anything that has meat!" Homura declared.
"I knew you were going to say that." Shadow chuckled.

Shadow seems to be doing well with the Homura's Crimson Squad doing some jobs together and his superpowers have made their work easier than before for the girls to earn some good money though it looks like Homura was troubled by a certain past of hers. But Shadow promised he is there to comfort her, and by her side that she wouldn't mind, when they go out to find the Chaos Emeralds as the next chapter will be Silver and the Gessen to find the fourth Emerald.
