Chapter 1440 Haru the Fan

Zack was walking down the road with Hanako at his side.
"Can't believe you wanted to see the Puni convention." He said.
"Puni is the greatest outside of you daddy." Hanako said.
He sighs and they bumped into a blonde girl with short hair. "Oh sorry."
"No it's my fault." She said.
"Hey Puni." Hanako pointed at her shirt that has the mascot.
"Oh you're a fan of Puni too?" The girl asks.
"Yeah, she can't even sleep not thinking about today." Zack said.
"I am heading to the event. Are you as well?" She asks.
"Well yeah." He said.
"Do you want to head to it together?" She asks.
"Well... Why not." Zack shrugs.
"Cool. Oh I am Haru." The girl said.
"I'm Zack and this is Hanako." He pointed at her.
"It's really nice to meet you." Haru said with a smile.
"You too, but let's go before Hanako whines." Zack said and She pouted.
"I won't whine daddy." Hanako pouts.
They went inside and went around the convention.
"Wow! Its so amazing daddy!" Hanako said cheerfully.
He chuckles at her reaction.
"She is so adorable." Haru said giggling.
"Yeah, that's Hanako for you." Zack said.
"Oh that's a limited edition Puni!" Haru said pointing at a Puni collectable.
Zack runs towards it before another guy could and buys both right away. "There."
He then goes back to the girls and hands one each to them.
"Thanks daddy." Hanako said as she holds it.
"Thank you. I'll pay you back." Haru said holding hers.
"It's alright." He said.
Then Hanako grabs Haru's hand surprising her.
"Let's go together." Hanako said.
"Sure." Haru smiles.
"It seems she likes you." Zack said.
"I like her too." Haru said as Hanako's cheerfulness was lightening her heart.
"Well we could hang out more." Zack said.
"Really?" Haru asks in surprise and a bit of excitement and joy.
He nodded.
This makes Haru smile widely before it dims a bit.
"What's wrong?" He asked.
"My family." Haru sighs.
"Oh, well they must have given you trouble." He understood her.
"Yeah, they have. They always bring up the big sister card even my sister takes my stuff without permission." Haru said a bit gloomy.
"Well don't worry, we're your friends." Zack said.
Hanako hugs Haru making her smile again.
"Let's enjoy the event." Zack said.
"Yes!" Both girls said smiling.
They went around as they were having fun, Haru looks at Zack for the most time and they were having a great time.
Hanako notices this.
"Haru do you like Daddy?" Hanako asks surprising her.
"What?" She said.
"If your together then we can be happy." Hanako smiles.
Haru blushes a bit.
Zack looks back. "What's wrong?"
"Well its a bit sudden." Haru said though she does think Zack is handsome.
Zack got confused to what she said.
"I ask her if she liked you daddy." Hanako said.
"Hanako!" He said.
"What daddy?" Hanako questions confused.
"You can't ask girls that." He said.
"Why?" Hanako questions.
"Imagine she didn't like me, that would make them feel uncomfortable." He tried to explain.
"But she kept looking at you." Hanako said confused.
"How about what Haru wants to say?" He said.
"W-well I do think you are handsome and kind but its a bit sudden." Haru said blushing a bit.
"Well how about slow?" He was surprised.
"Sure." Haru nods.
The three of them hanged out a lot and Haru was happy being with Zack and Hanako.
The trio were now out and Zack asked: "How was it you two?"
"It was great!" Both of them said.
"Well let's go you two." Zack said carrying they're bags.
They nod with smiles as the trio leaves.
They walked down the streets alone as Hanako holds Haru's hand, both wearing Puni shirts.
"Puni~ Puni~ he is everyone's friend~" Hananko sings.
Haru joins in the song too as Zack chuckles at they're interactions.
"Don't frown~ Puni is here to give you cheer~" Haru sings next.
"These two are friends to the end." Zack said.
Then a girl with pink hair who's Haru's sister saw them together.
"Sis has a boyfriend?" She questions frowning.
"Question, what's the name of your sister in case she tries something?" Zack asked Haru.
"Sakura." Haru said before pulling out her phone and showing him a picture.
He nodded at her and they kept going, but he has a feeling of being watched.
He then catches a glimpse of Haru's sister through the reflection of a window.
Zack frowns at that and they kept going foward, they arrived at a mall as Haru and Hanako were eating sweets.
"This is so good!" Hanako cheers though she had a bit around her mouth making Haru giggle as she grabs a napkin and wipes her face.
Zack watches with a smile and he could feel her sister watching. She won't try anything for now.
However Zack knows she will try something later so he resolves to be careful and ready for when she does.
After that Haru gave him get number when they were at the bus stop.
"I'll miss you." Hanako said hugging Haru.
"Me too." Haru hugs her.
"I'll see you again sometime soon." Haru said.
Zack and Hanako went to the bus as they waved bye at her. Haru waves goodbye too as the bus goes off.
"Did you like being with Haru?" He asked Hanako.
"Yep!" Hanako said cheerfully.
"Well we'll see her again." He said
"Yay!" Hanako cheers.
Later
Zack was with Hanako at his appartment and he receives a call from Haru.
"Hello?"
"Zack we have a problem." She said.
"What's wrong?" He asked.
"My parents are asking to meet you." She said.
"What?" He got surprised.
"What's wrong daddy?" Hanako asks.
"Haru's family wants to see us." He sighs.
"Really?" Hanako questions.
He nodded at her.
"Then let's go! We can see Haru again!" Hanako said.
He smiles at her and the two went to her house together.
After getting to the house and walking to the front door he knocks on the front door. Haru opens it and was nervous.
"Zack and Hanako." Haru said.
"Haru!" Hanako hugs her.
"So let me guess, your sister saw us together?" Zack said.
"Yes." Haru said hugging Hanako back.
"Well let's get this over with." Zack said.
The trio were inside the living room as they sit at a couch looking at her parents and Sakura who was sitting on the sides.
"So this is your boyfriend." Haru's mother said.
"Yes, my name is Zack." He said.
"And who is this?" Her father asks.
"I'm Hanako." Hanako said politely.
"She's my adopted daughter." Zack said.
"You adopted a child this early?" Haru's mother questions in surprise.
"Well yeah, she was all alone and I wanted to give her a family." He said.
"That is good thing for you to do." She said.
"Well thank you, so what's the reason for this visit?" He asked.
"Well we wanted to meet our daughter's boyfriend." Haru's father said.
Zack looks around and sees Sakura giving him looks.
He frowns. I don't like where this is going.
Haru goes to get some drinks.
"Why are you with my sister? You can do so much better." Sakura said.
"I like Haru for who she is." Zack kept looking away.
"But compare to me she is nothing." Sakura said.
"Oh really, would you even be a good mother to Hanako?" Zack questions her.
"Of course I would." Sakura said.
"Sakura is better than Haru in terms of looks and brains." The father said.
"Brains? Don't tell me something so dumb, plus what I like about Haru is her heart. And I would never replace that with anything else." Zack said.
This surprises Sakura making her growl in her head.
"Also you've been acting like your a better choice for a mother for Hanako, yet you didn't even look at her." Zack said as Hanako crosses her arms.
"Of course I have." Sakura said taking a quick glance at her.
"She's not even talking to me, Haru is always nice and we both enjoy Puni together. So I don't want this woman as a mother." Hanako said.
This shocks Sakura and her parents.
"Well you heard her, plus I love Haru not you." Zack said.
"What's so good about that loser?!" Sakura demands.
"She's funny, has a good heart and has a nice personality." He said.
"But compare to Sakura she won't be good for you." The mother said.
"I have any right to pick who I want, it's not what you want, but what I and Hanako want." He said.
"Haru is 10 times better than you." Hanako said.
Haru came back. "Oh guys."
She felt so happy hearing them stand up for her.
"Haru let's go." Hanako said not wanting to be around Haru's family anymore.
"Hey." Sakura said.
"Oh do you have a problem, also if you try to break the law that would be bad." Zack shows off his badge.
"You're a cop?!" Sakura exclaims in surprise.
"Yeah, so I suggest you play nice if you don't want anything bad to happen." Zack said.
This slightly scares Sakura.
"I think we got that solved, so me, Hanako and Haru will be going." He gets up.
"Yeah let's go." Hanako said as she grabs both of their hands.
The three of them went out together leaving the family there.
"I heard everything. Thank you both." Haru said as she starts crying.
He holds her. "Don't worry, we're here for you."
She smiles at this as Hanako joins in. Haru was happy to have met them since Zack was the one for her.
Note: Heres another Manga Soprano character being Haru and it was based on the one she's a fangirl for Puni, Hanako also has the same tastes which lead to her meeting Zack.
