Kazuma pov

I suddenly wake up and in front of me I see a beautiful blue haired woman and she says

"Satou Kazuma welcome to the afterlife your life was short but its over now"

oh yeah I died I thought

once she said that I remembered what had happened

Flashback

it was a sunny day and I had just bought myself a new limited edition game as the sun was quite bright I saw a girl an old classmate of mine

even though it had been a while since I had quit attending classes and just started studying online courses I still was sad that I quit school for playing games but I was too sleepy to care

but when I saw a speeding truck going towards her I don't know what took over me but I

decided to push her out of the way

Flashback ends

I asked the girl in front of me "is the girl I pushed okay"

she nonchalantly said "oh yeah she's fine she just has a broken leg"

as I sighed in relief she said "though she would have fine if you didn't do anything as the tractor would have stopped before hitting her"

"wait what do you mean by a tractor wasn't it a truck" I said

she started laughing and said "no it was a tractor and it was going quite slowly too and when you pushed her out of the way you died of shock and pissed yourself and the doctors who took care of you the morgue workers and your parents laughed at you"

after that entire bit she calmed down and said "ah that was funny I needed to blow some stress"

and throughout that entire time I was thinking how was she a goddess

she then continued "alright time to get serious Satou Kazuma you have two options either go to heaven or be reincarnated into your world with none of your memories"

well the obvious choice is to go to heaven I thought but she then continued

"though heaven isn't as great as you mortals made it out to be there are no golden roads and eternal paradise its just a bunch of old guys basking in the sun for all of eternity"

such a place sounds like hell and why are these options so shitty I thought

she then continued "these options don't sound good do they so I will present you with a third option"

"what is it" I asked

"do you like games" she asked

she then explained to me about how there was a world with a demon king who was terrorizing it and that the solution that the gods thought of was to send Japanese souls of young people there

what a terrible immigration plan I thought

"wait do I know the language of that world" I said

she replied "don't worry about that think of it as a freebie from the gods you will automatically learn the language though your brain might go poof if you aren't lucky"

I suddenly exclaimed "wait you said something about my brain going poof"

she responded in a ditsy manner saying "what do you mean I said no such thing"

"fine then so what kind of weapons do I get" I asked

"well you can take anything in this room" said Aqua while throwing the papers with the list of cheat items in the air in a cool pose

and then all the papers fell down

Scene break

after that whole debacle I was sitting on the ground contemplating which cheat item I should pick

then I was interrupted by a rude voice saying "why are you taking this much time no one expects much from a hikineet like you"

I looked up and indignantly yelled "oi shut up you bitch don't call me a hikineet and I died outside" while she was eating potato chips like where did she get those

I was getting pissed at her then an excellent idea came into my mind

I stood up and Aqua asked if I had made my choice to which I say

"yes I have for my cheat you said I can choose anything in this room right so I choose you"

she stands up and says "sure stand over there and you will be sent to the other world"

she then registered what I said and a bright light came from above and down came an angel an actual angel

she said "Satou Kazuma the gods have heard your request and are going to send the goddess of water Aqua alongside you to help you defeat the demon king"

after she said that some magic circles formed beneath our feet and we were lifted in he air

all the while Aqua was complaining and crying that "this was against the rule and that she didn't have any combat spells and could only use support magic" which I on second thought should have paid attention to

I then said to Aqua "since you are a goddess you should be able to make my life easy right" while laughing like a maniac

this scared Aqua who was now complaining about being sent to the world like me

the angel then said "Satou Kazuma if you defeat the demon king you will be given a reward"

to which I asked "what do you mean by a reward"

and the angel replied "you can get any wish the heavens deem acceptable so now Satou Kazuma we await for your accomplishments"

while aqua was crying about how it was her job to say the cool line

I suddenly woke up in an another world
