Fiend Will Cry
Chapter 1 Spider Attack

Dante was in his Devil May Cry shop, sitting at his desk, drinking a soda, eating a slice of pizza, and going over what debts and bills needed to be paid. Business had been rather slow lately and it looked like Dante might have to take on a a few smaller odd jobs to help pay off some of his bills to keep the lights and water running. Dante turned his attention to a newspaper and see if it could help give him a solution to his money problems or at the very least give him something entertaining to read to keep his mind off of his financial problems. There was the sound of the front door of the shop opening as someone walked in. Dante looked up with a bit of curiosity and interest as he saw a attractive woman head his way.
"Are you the one they call Dante?" Asked the woman.
"I am. Who might you be?" Said Dante.
"I'm Irene Lew. I'm a agent of CIA's Secret Auxiliary Unit." Said the woman producing a official looking badge.
Irene was an attractive and voluptuous young woman with pale skin, short platinum blonde hair and green eyes. She wore a low-cut black leather outfit with vertical whites strips down the front, long black gloves, and thigh-high heeled black boots. Irene also had several storage weapon holsters on belts around her waist, right arm and right thigh, along with a small red tattoo above her breasts.
Dante had seen many movies and read many comics in his life, but he had never seen a CIA agent look anything like Irene or carry a small arsenal with them.
"What's the CIA want with little ole me?" Asked Dante already sensing he was about to go on a save the world kind of mission, that could possibly lead to a payday to help with both his debts and bills.
"There has recently been activity regarding a race of creatures called Fiends." Said Irene taking a seat in front of Dante's desk.
"What exactly are Fiends? Never heard that named used before." Said Dante.
"They're basically demons, who caused chaos long ago and now they are working to bring back their master the Archfiend Vazdah, who was defeated by your father Sparda." Said Irene.
"So care to fill me in a little. My dad didn't share all his adventures with me." Said Dante.
"Apparently long ago there was a great war in the Demon World, between the demon Mundus and his forces and a powerful Fiend named Vigoor who lead the Fiends. It was a great war that went on for many years and shook the whole Demon World. Eventually Mundus with the aid of Sparda killed Vigoor and the Fiends scattered or joined up with Mundus's forces, but that wasn't the end of Vigoor. For in his death throes Vigoor had a great deal of hatred and anger that was so powerful it gave birth to a new life that became the Archfiend Vazdah, Vigoor's son who merged from his corpse and mind." Said Irene.
"Well that paints a lovely picture." Muttered Dante picturing a demon bursting out of the corpse of another demon.
"Unlike Vigoor, Vazdah didn't wage war on Mundus and worked in secret gathering up powerful Fiends to serve him and they headed into the human realm, where they formed an alliance with a clan of ninjas known as the Black Spider Ninja Clan giving them powers and ways to become Fiends and granted a human philosopher named Dagra Dai immense power turning him into a powerful Fiend and granted him the title of Infernal High Priest and leader of the Necromantale, a group of Fiends that worshipped Vazdah as a god." Said Irene.
"Sounds like a nasty group already." Said Dante.
"After Mundus was defeated by Sparda, Vazdah and his forces tried to conquer the human world, Sparda opposed them and he found powerful allies in the form of another ninja clan called the Dragon Clan. Together they defeated Vazdah and sealed him away and his generals the Greater Fiends were sealed into eternal slumber where they stood. However Dagra Dai and the Black Spider Ninja Clan still remain at large and have been working in the shadows to awaken the Greater Fiends and bring back Vazdah." Said Irene.
"That's a lot to take in. So what exactly is this Vazdah's status?" Said Dante.
"We believe that Vazdah is in a state of near death and he needs a special magic item known as the the Demon Statue as well as the blood of Sparda and a member of the Dragon Clan to fully revive." Said Irene.
"We know where Vazdah is sealed up?" Asked Dante.
"Unfortunately no." Said Irene.
"So we have a mad cult of demons working with ninjas to bring back a incredibly powerful demon who wants to conquer the world." Said Dante.
"That sums it up." Said Irene.
"So are there any Dragon Clan people still around?" Asked Dante.
"Yes, though they call themselves Hayabusa Ninja Clan these days. I managed to make contact with them and enlisted the aid of a ninja by the name of Ryu Hayabusa, who is highly skilled and has previous experience fighting Fiends and the Black Spider Ninja Clan." Said Irene.
"Alright, this sounds like it'll be an interesting job, will discuss payment later." Said Dante as he stood up.
"Thank you for agreeing to help." Said Irene.
Outside the shop a young man, who was Ryu Hayabusa stood on the roof of a neighboring building watching the shop. Ryu wore a outfit called the Legendary Black Falcon. It was tight-fitting black sleeveless jumpsuit with minor padding and straps toward the sides; kunai on the legs, black and silver arm and shin guards; fingerless black elbow-length gloves; a black balaclava obscuring the entirety of his face aside from the eyes; a long flowing black scarf tied behind the neck; a metallic silver forehead protector bearing the design of a dragon/peregrine falcon; and black knee-high split-toed boots.
Ryu had been recruited by Irene in Japan, where he had rescued the agent from being kidnapped by a team of Black Spider Clan Ninjas and a strange woman. Irene explained the situation with the Archfiend and the two of them had traveled to America to recruit Dante, the Son of Sparda. Ryu had heard the old tales of Sparda and was curious about what kind of warrior and person he was. He had decided to stay outside the shop and go on lookout duty as Irene spoke to Dante. All seemed quiet, until Ryu noticed a few dozen shadowy shapes that he recognized as Black Spider Clan Ninjas. Ryu sensed that something had landed on the roof behind him and turned to see more Black Spider Clan Ninjas had arrived. He drew his sword the Dragon Sword and faced the group as he took them in. Ryu saw saw a mix of the classic Green Black Spider grunts armed with swords, a few Black Spider grunts armed with claws, and a few members of the Tactical Team Black Spiders armed with guns and swords.
Ryu gripped his sword as he glanced down to see more Black Spiders jumping down from roofs and heading to the shop. He would have to deal with his own batch of enemies before he could help Irene and Dante. Ryu charged forward with incredible speed and sliced the throat of one of the Black Spiders dropping him to the ground, before spinning around and throwing some ninja stars that either struck the other ninjas or were deflected by their weapons. One Tactical Team Ninja fired a machine gun at Ryu, who dodged it and the bullets tore into some other ninjas. Ryu rushed the Tactical Tram Ninja and sliced his hands off, before throwing a ninja star into the head of another Tactical Team Ninja who was raising their gun. Ryu blocked some blows from a Black Spider Ninja with claws and then he sliced both his arms off. He then quickly got rid of the other ninjas as he pondered how Dante and Irene were doing.
The Black Spider Ninjas burst into the Devil May Cry Shop. Irene drew some pistols and shot and killed a couple of the ninjas. The majority of the attackers set their sights on Dante and laughed themselves forward stabbing and impaling Dange with multiple blades! Irene looked at Dante in shock and then Dante smirked unfazed by the multiple blades piercing his body as he headed over to the jukebox on the wall dragging the ninjas along with him and activated the machine making it play music. Dante could sense the ones attacking him weren't quite human despite their appearance, so there was no need for him to hold back. He spun around sending some of the ninjas flying as he pulled out his guns and started blasting a few of them. One of Dante's shots struck some billiard balls on a billiard table causing the balls to shoot off the table and bounce around the shop striking the ninjas with painful and lethal force. Dante then pulled out his sword Rebellion and began to make short work of the remaining ninjas slicing them to bits, until there was one ninja left who seemed a bit quicker then the others.
"Son of Sparda, you will not interfere with the return of Vazdah. Surrender your blood and you will be aloud to live what few days you have left in peace!" Said the ninja.
"Yeah that's a hard pass." Said Dante.
The ninja let out a roar as his body began to grow and mutate into something else entirely. He became hunchback, his hands and feet turned into claws, he grew four large spider-like legs out of his back, he grew fangs, mandibles, and six more eyes on his forehead.
"So this is what happens when you bite a mutant spider. I guess you're a mini boss and a ugly one at that." Said Dante.
The Mutant Ninja roared as he charged at Dange swinging his claws and extra limbs at him. Dante dodged the blows and gave the Mutant Ninja a few good whacks with his sword drawing blood from the Mutant Ninja, who snarled in rage and swatted Dante sending him flying and crashing out of the shop. The Mutant Spider jumped out after Dante, who had recovered and shot the Mutant Ninja a few times before he jumped out of the way of the Mutant Ninja's landing. Dante faced the Mutant Ninja and they both charged at each other. Dante swung his sword and the Mutant Ninja swung his claws. There was a loud cracking sound followed by a slicing sound as Dante's sword cut through the claws and sliced through the Mutant Ninja's body. A few seconds later the Mutant Ninja's upper body fell from it's torso and the creature bleed and died.
"Well that was a nice warmup." Said Dante sheathing his sword as Irene came out to join him.
Ryu jumped down from the roof and looked at Dante who eyed the newcomer.
"Don't worry he's on our side Dante. This is Ryu Hayabusa of Hayabusa Ninja Clan." Said Irene.
"A honor to meet you. Your skills are most impressive." Said Ryu with a bow.
"And I take it you're pretty tough to. Cool. Working with a ninja should be interesting." Said Dante.
"Now that we have the Son of Sparda we must head to my home in Hayabusa Village. There is where the Demon Statue is kept and that is most likely where the Black Spider Clan and the Fiends will go next." Said Ryu.
"Then we must head to Japan at once." Said Irene.
"Time for another globe trotting adventure to save the world." Said Dante with a grin on his face.
