bopdog111: Yeah me, and Ulrich are gonna be cheating a little bit on it reason being was cause we are included manga elements onto this fic which includes Chazz's magna Deck that uses two monsters that are Synchro Monsters in the TCG. Along with the Legendary Planets too.

"Okay I got my Decks, got my gear, and I got about two minutes to get to the Duel Academy Entrance Exams!"
It was the voice of a chestnut haired boy shaped as a Kuriboh's wearing a standard school uniform running passing by people. This was Jaden Yuki a passionate duelist who desires to become the best Duelist, and to one day face the King of Games; Yugi Muto himself. Right now he had overslept, and is running to try catching up to the Duel Academy Entrance Exams.
But he isn't alone...
"Honestly, I told you to leave earlier if you wanted to make it on time. But you had to have those extra fifteen minutes of sleep." mentioned a feminine voice.
"Hey it never hurts it get a strategy handy Yubel!" Jaden said over to the astral voice with a grin, "Ah well at least since I'm not a student yet, I can't be in detention hall for being late!"
"If you say so, have you decided which one you're going to use for the exam?" Yubel asked as she started to appear next to him.
Yubel has sickly-pink skin, large black wings, heterochromatic eyes, and a third vertically placed eye with a cloth that has one of the legs completely covered, while the other is mostly exposed. Yubel's hair is one side blue, and one side white. She also has blue lips and pointed teeth.
One side is distinctly female, with a covered breast and a rounded hip. The other looks more masculine with a pectoral muscle, no breast, and a harder, less rounded hip.
"Well I had thought hard so I had left both the Decks to decide but you kinda guessed how that went." Jaden answered over to her since both Decks in question like to compete against each other for which Jaden uses for his first time in Duel Academy.
Yubel sighed. "Well you need to decide soon."
The talking had Jaden distracted, and is unaware of someone walking into his path before he collided against him spilling both Decks, and Duel Disk. Groaning Jaden moved to start picking up his Decks saying to the guy with a sheepish look, "Sorry."
The man who Jaden collided with looked over noting the cards, and Duel Disk as the boy checks over to see if he didn't miss anything. "You a duelist?"
Hearing that Jaden smiled answering over, "Yeah, I'm just trying out at Duel Academy."
The man gave a small laugh, "You don't say." He opened a Deck Box on his belt as he said this.
"Yeah." Jaden sheepishly laugh after getting his Decks secured before pausing seeing who it is, "Hey, your..."
"Why don't you take this? Something just tells me that it belongs with you." the man offered a card over with a soft smile. Jaden softly takes the card in awe while the man passed him walking off, "Good luck."
"Wait!" Jaden realized he forgotten to thank the man which he turned, "Thank you! I'll... make you proud!" He bowed to him to which the man gave a thumbs up before walking off.
"Well, I guess being late was worth it after all." Yubel mentioned. "Though you'd better hurry, otherwise you will miss your exam."
"Huh oh right! I can't be the next King of Games if I'm late!" Jaden quickly slips the card into one of his Decks running more.
Yubel just rolled her eyes. 'Honestly, sometimes I question how he functions... though I have a feeling Duel Academy will be in for quite the entertaining few years if he does pass.'
Meanwhile...
"Well ladies, that's it." a man in a suit said to a couple of woman seeing no more applicants, "Mark all the no shows, no-shows."
They nodded preparing to close up before a call interrupted them, "WAIT!" Surprised they looked seeing Jaden climbed over the railing, "You can... count Jaden Yuki present! Well... so long as I don't lose my grip." He chuckled a little nervous at this while the three adults blinked.
"Well, he came just in time." one of the woman admitted to her co-worker.
"But isn't it time to close up shop?" the other one asked.
"He's certainly enthusiastic about this, I guess we can give him a fair shot." the first woman admitted. "Though he'll be the last one this year."
The man only said to the siblings, "Alright Mr. Yuki... You came all this way so I suppose we should give you a chance. Just wait in the arena until we're ready, and I'll see what I can do."
"Awesome thank you!" Jaden grinned heading in. Looking around he soon sees a match, and grinned, "Wow look!"
He, and Yubel looked too see a white suited brown haired boy was against a proctor, and from the looks of things he's stuck.

Impressed by the teen's smarts the Proctor said to him, "Clever Move applicant welcome to the Academy."
The Teen bowed saying "Thank you oh wise Procter."
"He's someone to keep an eye on." Yubel noted.
"Well he definitely tore him up." Jaden remarked.
"Yeah Bastion Misawa, their saying he scored the highest out of all of the applicants here." they looked and saw a light blue hair student wearing glasses, and having on a dark blue uniform.
"Wow I just barely passed." Jaden admitted to him.
"Yeah me to. My name is Syrus by the way nice to meet ya. I got this thing called test anxiety, I don't know how I won my match." the boy, Syrus, admitted looking down.
"So your in!" Jaden patted his back before pointing his thumb at himself with a grin, "Well I'll be with ya as soon as I win my duel!"
Syrus blinked hearing that. "You saying you haven't dueled yet?"
"Nah!"
"Well, I think you have a problem, I think Bastion's was suppose to be the last duel." Syrus revealed much to the there shock.
"What, but the people outside said I would get a chance to duel." Jaden frowned.
"You will, they probably just need to tell whoever's in charge first." Yubel mentioned. "Though have you decided yet because if you don't I'll make the choice for you Jaden."
Syrus then gave a sudden blink looking around.
"Something wrong?" Jaden asked.
"Did you hear something?" Syrus asked him looking confused.
Jaden's eyes widened. 'He heard Yubel?'
"It's possible, skilled duelists can sense spirits like me." Yubel mentioned. "I doubt he's the only one who'll be able to hear or see me."
At the same time Bastion walked up to them.
"Tight duel Bastion." was what said boy heard from behind when he sat down which was behind Jaden, and Syrus.
"Thank you." Bastion said before turning back to his Deck in his hands.
"You know, you might be the second best here." Jaden grinned much to everyone else but Yubel's confusion.
"Jaden Yuki please report to Exam Field 4." a voice on the intercom called.
"Well, that's my turn." Jaden grinned running down.
"Hang on!" before the two headed off they turned to Bastion who asked Jaden confused, "If I'm second best then who's first?"
Jaden grinned gesturing to himself, "Your's truly! It's what I'm best at!" He moved down to continue down.
"Wow he sounds confident, I wonder if he's that good." Syrus remarked to Bastion staring off as Jaden walked to the field.
"He's going to need to be look at who he's dueling." Bastion said to Syrus with a slight frown.
He looked only for his eyes to widen seeing a man wearing a more regal variation on the standard Obelisk Blue uniform, complete with gold trimmings and ruffled pink collar, shoulders, upper chest, and sleeves. His blonde hair is sectioned in two layers, with the layer furthest from his face tightly-bound in a ponytail, and he also wears crescent-shaped earrings with his Duel Disk attached to his jacket.
Earlier...
That same man was watching some of the duels only for a man in a less regal blue uniform walked up to him. "Excuse me Mr. Crowler?"
The man's eye twitched in frustration but calmly asking, "Did you just call me Mr?"
"Oh I'm sorry I'm new. Mrs. Crowler..." the man started.
"I have a PhD in Dueling I've earned the Title 'Doctor' thank you." the teacher now revealed as Dr. Crowler explained to the man now understanding why he didn't called him right, "Now tell the truants to come back next year."
"Oh come on, he made the effort to come after all and it's not like we don't have time for one more match." mentioned a man sitting next to Dr. Crowler. "What's the harm in giving him his fair shot?"
"Yeah he was only a little late is all." another man agreed over.
"LATE IS RUDE!" The shout startled the adults around him as Dr. Crowler unable to accept what his co-workers are saying slammed his hands on his deck yelling, "I have no time for slackers!"
Ring Ring Ring.
Hearing the phone ringing he takes his personal phone answering with a tone, "Hello and who may I ask is-"
"It's Sheppard."
"Ah Chancellor Sheppard." Dr. Crowler replied instantly changing his tone to a pleasant one which made everyone else blinked.
"I'm just calling to ask how the entrance exams are going." Sheppard mentioned. "You are giving everyone their fair shot aren't you? We don't want a repeat of last year where you turned away a third of the applicants for some ridiculous reason, what was it again, calling you Mr.?"
"Uh..." the year certainly made some trouble towards Dr. Crowler for the stuff that Seto Kaiba himself came over from the numerous complaints that had resulted, and the good doctor himself was really lucky to be let off with a warning. "Uh, no sir everyone is getting a fair shot!"
"Glad to hear it Crowler." Sheppard mentioned hanging up.
"Furry-chined windbag." Dr. Crowler scowled to himself when the call ended, 'Doesn't he realized their are enough talentless flunkies at this academy? Well he's the boss. And if he wants to get this scrimshanker a duel fine!' With that thought in mind he stood. "Excuse me gentlemen I have business to attend to."
The two of them looked at him in confusion as Dr. Crowler walked off. They wondered what exactly he's up too as he doesn't take an Exam Deck to test this duelist but feels this can't be good.
Present...
"Did you pick a Deck?" Yubel asked Jaden.
"Uh..." from that sound she pretty much guessed he didn't.
"Use the Elemental HERO deck." Yubel told him.
"Okay." As he was raised he adjusted his Deck.
"Alright test time!" the two looked over seeing Dr. Crowler in front of them. "So son, your name?"
"Huh?" Jaden asked hearing that. "Oh... Jaden Yuki."
"Well Jaden Yuki, I'm Doctor Vellian Crowler, Depairment Chair of Techniques here at Duel Academy." the man before them introduced himself.
"Wow, you're a department chair? With that get-up you're wearing I thought you were some kind of fancy school mascot or something." Jaden admitted.
Yubel couldn't help but smirk at that. "Alright, that was a good one Jaden."
Dr. Crowler wasn't as amused only sweatdropping before he shook his head eager to give this student some talk, "Duel Vest On!" Jaden watched in awe as Dr. Crowler drew his hand when his Duel Disk/coat ejected it for him.
"Whoa, that's a sweet jacket. How do I get one?" Jaden asked activating his Duel Disk.
"For being a highly educated student of course." he then grinned to himself, 'Except, I won't allow you to tarnish Duel Academy's reputation no matter the reason.'
"Then I'll be sure to do that." Jaden smiled.
"You ready for this Jaden?" Yubel asked him.
"Yeah, I'm ready." Jaden nodded.
"DUEL!" Jaden and Dr. Crowler called together.

What rose was a blue jumpsuit monster shaping as a superhero wearing golden armor with electricity around him.

"Yeah, I have the same feeling Zane. He's probably bullying the new kid with his real Deck." a blonde haired girl beside him agreed as she watches the duel.
The boy, Zane, nodded. "That would make sense Alexis, but... wait do you see that?"
Hearing that Alexis blinked looking over seeing some kind of spirit above Jaden. Widening her eyes from seeing the spirit she focused. "Is that a Duel Spirit? That's nothing I've ever seen before."
"I don't know, but I have a feeling this Jaden Yuki is going to be someone to keep a close eye on." Zane mentioned.
"Your new monster isn't strong enough to beat my Sparkman... so what's its special ability?" Jaden asked grinning.
"Well it's special effect from my hand is that if a copy of itself is on my field, I can summon it! Not too shabby eh?" Dr. Crowler placed a card as a second identical gear appeared beside his first.
Ancient Gear: (Attack Position)
"Sweet ability." Jaden grinned.
"Well now I sacrifice my two Ancient Gear," the two gears vanished as Dr. Crowler grinned, "To summon Ancient Gear Golem!"
What rose up from the ground was a huge rusty mechanized golem with a red eye in a hollow head letting out a roar.

'Who's he talking too?' Dr. Crowler thought to himself thinking Jaden is talking to himself.
"I play my field spell, Fusion Gate!" Jaden called as a purple vortex appeared above them.

What fused together was a warrior that seemed different then all the others he used.

"Almost, see Elemental HERO Gaia has a sweet ability. When I Fusion Summon Gaia one of your monster's attack points is cut in half and Gaia gains the same number of points." Jaden grinned. "I only have one choice so I'll pick your Ancient Gear Golem."
Realizing that's trouble Dr. Crowler cried, "Wait time out!"
Ancient Gear Golem: (ATK: 3000 / 2 = 1500)
Elemental HERO Gaia: (ATK: 2200 + 1500 = 3700)
"Next up, I'll use Terra Firma's ability. I can tribute another Elemental HERO on my field and he gains that monster's attack points until the end phase." Jaden grinned. "I tribute Gaia."
Gaia vanished as Terra Firma gained two glowing swords.

"Now, attack Ancient Gear Golem with Terra Firma Magma Slash!"
Terra Firma charged an energy blast firing it towards Ancient Gear Golem while Dr. Crowler watches helplessly as Gear Golem was struck destroyed as Dr. Crowler cried out, "This can't be! He was my very best card!" A piece of debris struck his hand. Hearing a groan he looked up seeing Ancient Gear Golem is collapsing which he cried out from being buried ending the match.

"That's game!" Jaden grinned pointing at Dr. Crowler with two fingers. "Thanks for the sweet duel."
The holograms vanished as Dr. Crowler said to himself in disbelief, "Impossible... There's no way this delinquent could defeat me...!"
"Well done Jaden." Yubel grinned.
"Yeah good show your majesty!" a fiendish version of Sparkman appeared beside him, "My brother surly did well even if he was taken out early!"
Jaden grinned rubbing the back of his head. "Yeah, I should definitely give him a chance to shine next time... but I think I'll use you guys next."
He then turned to Yubel.
"And definitely give you a chance to shine."
Yubel grinned more from this, "I'm looking forward to it."
Jaden smiled as he walked back up to Syrus and Bastion.
"That was incredible Jaden." Syrus said over to him in awe.
"Even if you taken out Dr. Crowler in just 2 turns." Bastion said impressed with a smile, "Your definitely first best, and I'm looking forward for our own match."
"So am I." Jaden smiled only to pause as he took out his deck. "Oh yeah, in all the excitement I forgot to check that card."
Taking it out he looked at it.

They nodded before Syrus blinked, "Bastion did you see that?"
"See what?" Bastion turned to him confused.
"I seen some sort of figure beside Jaden for only a second." Syrus admitted looking over to where Yubel is confused.
"I didn't see anything." Bastion mentioned. "Are you sure you're not just tired, your duel was rather close and you nearly lost."
"Yeah maybe it's nerves." Syrus shrugged before turning to Jaden, "You did, did you?"
"Yeah." Jaden smiled.
Alexis however was looking down at the field. 'Huh... I might have to find an excuse to Duel Jaden myself once we get to Academy Island.'
Ulrich362: Jaden Yuki managed to defeat Dr. Crowler and is more than likely going to be enrolling at Duel Academy.
bopdog111: One manga element is that the Legendary Planets are here. But you all might notice Chazz is absent.
Ulrich362: He'll show up soon don't worry about that. Oh and for the curious... Alexis will of course be specializing in Ritual Monsters from the start. That said, next up everyone will arrive at Academy Island and start to get to know each other.
