Chapter 1 Bad Pizza News

Dante was chilling behind his desk in his Devil May Cry business eating some pizza from the greatest pizza chain in the world, Pizza Bat. It had started out as a small chain several years back, but had had grown in power and popularity over the years becoming a powerful mega chain cooperation. The CEO and founder of Pizza Bats, Jasper Batt Sr was super rich and was working on expanding his franchise. Dante was watching the news on tv as he ate his beloved pizza. A few stories went by on the tv.
The first appeared to be a recent murder, where a man who was believed to be an assassin was apparently killed, by another assassin, while he was on the toilet.
"Whoa that is both a funny and embarrassing way to go out." Said Dante.
Next up were some sports highlights. Famous wrestler Notorious had won another championship match and star football quarterback Charlie MacDonald had scored a winning touchdown for Destroy University.
"Just a couple of sports guys living the dream." Said Dante.
There then was a news report about about a shipment of weapons called beam katanas being released onto the street and being used by assassins and high ranked criminals.
"Cool Star Wars knockoffs. I should see about getting one." Said Dante.
Finally there was a story about Jasper Batt Sr. meeting up with Utopinia, CEO, Damon Riccitiello to create a Pizza Bats theme park.
"Well that's cool. Can't wait to go visit that, when it's open and I have the cash to spare for tickets." Said Dante.
The phone rang and Dante answered it.
"Devil May Cry, Dante speaking. You got demon or supernatural problem, I'm the guy to fix them." Said Dante.
"Hi my name is Kamui Uehara and I'm a investigator that was hired on by a advertising company called K-Entertainment to look in on a client and well I found something very concerning and I think this is up your alley." Said the voice of a young mm.
"Concerning how?" Asked Dante.
"Well I think it would be best to discuss it in person." Said Kamui.
"Fine by me, you want to meet at my shop or you want to meet elsewhere?" Said Dante.
"I think there's a diner not too far from your place. I'll meet you there." Said Kamui.
"Alright I'll meet you there." Said Dante.
Dante knew where the diner was. He grabbed his gear and headed out to meet his client. Dante reached the diner and searched it, a young man who must have been Kamui waved to him. He headed over and got his first good look at Kamui.
Kamui was a young Asian man with short black hair, wearing a red plaid scarf, a green jacket with a fluffy white collar, a white shirt with some kind of superhero on the front, black pants, and red, white, and blue tennis shoes.
"Thank you for coming to see me." Said Kamui.
"So exactly what was the job you were on and what exactly did you find that was concerning?" Asked Dante.
"Well K-Entertainment asked me to look into the background of this big client they had." Said Kamui.
"Who exactly was the client?" Asked Dante.
"Pizza Bat and their CEO and founder, Jasper Batt Sr." Said Kamui.
"The big pizza chain?" Asked Dante.
"That's the one. You see K-Entertainment likes to do background checks on the people they do business, collect information on them to make sure they're getting a good deal and not getting into anything that would cause trouble for the business." Said Kamui.
"So they wanted blackmail info." Said Dante.
"That wasn't the term...they used, but yeah they wanted potential blackmail information." Said Kamui looking little uncomfortable about that.
"So what exactly did you find?" Asked Dante.
"I managed to hide a camera in Jasper Batt Sr's office and him and his two oldest twin sons, James and Jessie change into...demons." Said Kamui.
"Demons! You telling me my favorite pizza chain is run by demons?" Said Dante in a bit of disbelief.
"I'm afraid so." Said Kamui.
"Dammit! I can't seem to have anything good in my life without demons messing it up in some way." Complained Dante.
"Jasper and his sons were talking about the construction of their theme park as well construct something called a Hell Gate, which I'm guessing is something that's going to release demons into the world." Said Kamui.
"Pretty much. Now these guys are ruining theme parks. That's another low." Said Dante.
"So I hear you're the best person to come to to deal with stuff like this." Said Kamui.
"I am." Said Dante.
"Great. So I need you to stop the construction of the theme park and kill Jasper and his two sons. I imagine it won't be too easy since Jasper is a public figure and has a lot of resources at his disposal." Said Kamui.
"Wouldn't be my first rodeo dealing with a big company and evil CEO." Said Dante before his advanced senses picked up something outside and he looked out the window.
A large group of men wearing black suits was approaching the diner with katanas and machine guns. Leading the group was a tall man with long white hair with a cigar in his mouth wearing a silver necklace, a open grey shirt showing off his muscles, with black sleeves, black gloves, black pants with a silver belt buckle, a sliver chain hanging from one pocket, two large brown gun holsters with two large revolvers in them, and black boots.
The leader drew his two revolvers and he and the other men began shooting at the diner! Dante quickly grabbed Kamui and dove to the ground along with the other customers and staff of the diner. Dante used his senses to get a feel for the attacking gunmen and could sense demonic energy, which meant they weren't humans, but demons, which meant he didn't have to hold back against them.
"Stay down, I'm going to deal with the cigar smoking and his pals." Said Dante to Kamui before standing up with his guns and began shooting away at the gunmen killing a few of them in a matter of seconds before, he leaped out to fight them.
Dante shot a few more gunmen, before he pulled out his sword and sliced a few of the men with swords to bits. The cigar smoker grinned at Dante before he spoke to him.
"Not bad, so I take it you're the demon hunter Dante."
"I am and who are you supposed to be a hitman cosplaying as someone from Final Fantasy?" Said Dante.
"I'm the demon assassin Helter-Skelter and I'm here to kill the guy were meeting with."
"Figures it was something like that. I already got a good idea who sent you." Said Dante.
"Now why don't you just step aside and walk away and I'll do my job." Said Helter-Skelter.
"Sorry can't do that. That guy you're trying to kill is my client and it would be bad for my reputation if I just let you kill him." Said Dante.
"Then I guess there's nothing for us to do except fight." Said Helter-Skelter before he ho listened his guns.
Dante watched as Helter-Skelter raised his arms and they changed into mini-guns and they began shooting at Dante. Dante dodged the shots and leaped around firing his guns back at Helter-Skelter.
"A demon cyborg, that's a new one! This'll be fun!" Said Dante as he jumped around and continued to shoot at Helter-Skelter.
Inside the diner Kamui was crawling on the floor towards the kitchen to hide, when the back door opened up and two men in black suits armed with katanas and guns. They saw Kamui and walked towards him with their weapons ready to kill him, when someone stepped into their path. It was a young woman with blonde hair wearing a white crop top that exposed her midriff, white and red shorts, white and red fingerless gloves, and white boots.
"Get out of the way girlie." Said one of the men.
"Yeah I'm not doing that." Said the woman.
The man tried to grab the woman, but she grabbed his arm and twisted it behind his back making the man shout in pain and surprise, before the woman slammed his head into the counter and dropped him into a dazed heap on the ground. The second man tried to point his gun at the woman, but she quickly darted to him and batted him gun away before she delivered a series of quickly punches to his face followed by a uppercut. There was a loud cracking sound as the man's neck was broken and he fell to the ground dead. The first man got up and pulled out a knife. He charged at the woman swinging his blade. The woman dodged his swings then grabbed the man's blade arm and twisted it before making him stab himself in the heart killing him. She dropped the dead man to the ground.
Kamui and the others in the diner stared at the woman and the dead men in shock. The dead guys' bodies began to smoke and change revealing they were demons. The woman walked over to Kamui.
"You Kamui." Said the woman.
Kamui nodded his head nervously.
"Relax my name is Jeane, I'm your new bodyguard. I was called in and hired by K-Entertainment to protect you." Said the woman helping Kamui up.
"Bodyguard?" Asked Kamui.
"Yeah apparently K-Entertainment thought you were too valuable to lose, so they hired me. Been following you around to make sure you were safe. Now let's see how your pal is doing." Said Jeane.
Kamui and Jeane looked outside to see that Helter-Skelter had changed his arms into sword arms and was charging at Dante swinging his blades. Dante blocked and dodged the assassin's blades, before he kicked Helter-Skelter back sending him skidding a few yards back. Helter-Skelter recovered and he and Dante charged at each other. There was a loud slicing sound and Helter-Skelter's arms fell to ground sparking and in pieces. Helter-Skelter stumbled back as blood gushed from his stumps.
"Looks...like I lost." Said Helter-Skelter.
"Looks that way." Said Dante.
Helter-Skelter then opened his mouth wide to reveal a gun barrel sticking out of it prepared to fire in a last ditch effort to try and kill Dante. Dante saw it and swung his sword slicing through Helter-Skelter's neck. Helter-Skelter's head fell to the ground and his headless body fell shortly after. Dante looked at the dead demon assassin and put his sword away. He turned to Kamui and Jeane.
"So this is a good way to start a job. Who's the chick?" Said Dante.
"This is my new bodyguard, Jeane. Apparently K-Entertainment hired her to protect me." Said Kamui.
"I thought there was something about you, when I glanced at you back at the diner." Said Date looking at Jeane.
"You already figured I was more then just a pretty face." Said Jeane.
"Been in my line of work for a long time, so I can spot these kinds of things. Also I work with some pretty dangerous women." Said Dante.
"So what's are next move?" Asked Kamui.
"Well let's head back to my place and you tell me everything you knack bout Pizza Bat and Jasper, so I have a better idea of what I'm dealing with." Said Dante.
"Fine by me." Said Kamui.
"Lead the way." Said Jeane.
The trio headed back to Devil May Cry to discuss things and share information, unaware the craziness was only beginning.
