"Hey."
"Hey."
"What are you doing?" She asked.
"I'm looking at the stars." He replied not looking up from his telescope.
"Why?" He shrugged.
"You missed dinner."
"I know sorry."
"It's fine. I'm only worried for yourself." He paused.
" Are you alright?" He asked finally looking up. Her eyes were red and cheeks pale. She turned away. A single tear rolled down her face. "I'm sorry."
"Whatever for my love?"
"It's my fault, I should have taken better care of him."
"Don't be ridiculous Lizzy. You did nothing wrong." She sniffled.
"I just want to forget about it all. I just want it to go back to how it used to be Vic."
"We all do my dear. Now how about I get us something to drink?"
He nursed the cup of warm tea between his legs. Occasionally sending glances towards Elizabeth. She peered over the top of her book, tears dropping ferociously, drowning the pages. He got up.
"It's getting rather late El. We should probably get some sleep."
"Victor! No! Please don't leave me alone tonight, for I fear my grief may overwhelm me." He sighed.
"Very well then. I shall stay." He answered, kissing her cheek.
