Land of Fire: Secured Laboratory
In a dark, dismal yet pristine room sat a certain pale skinned man writing on one of the many desk that littered the space. His dark olive green, reptilian eyes are staring down at the journal he was writing. It looked innocent enough and the quick, discreet, observation from the hidden eyes saw nothing amiss and subsequently disappeared to check the perimeter.
The man, now aware he was alone, smirked. Seriously. How did they get assigned to be his watcher with such a low level of stealth. Instead of wasting valuable mental energy on that further, the legendary researcher flickered away and appeared before a large control panel.
Looking upon the monitor, revealing a sight that unnerved him greatly. Even he, the great snake sannin, Orochimaru of the Sannin, knew that this encroaching force would be more than a little out of his league.
A low hiss slipped past his thin lips, then glancing to his right where one of his recent acquisitions was hidden, and now he wondered if his own decision to side with the alliance was wise.
Glancing back to the monitor that was forewarning him of the new threat beyond the stars, he memorised the required information before erasing the records and moved back towards the desk he once occupied, and muttered to himself. "The alliance is incompetent. Perhaps the rebels will know what this is…"
Land of Forest: Travelling Convoy
Alliance shinobi and local Samurai stroll alongside the noble carriage holding a very particular woman who was heading to alert the alliance of the oncoming threat. She had been very depressed in recent years and many had been worried about her health as she rarely, and like very rarely, made public appearances anymore.
They were scarce and not much could motivate them to leave the shrine but her visions of late have showed her that things are happening that must be brought to the attention of the alliance. She had chosen them over him after all and the countless nights of sleeplessness were her reward for the betrayal.
Those empty, broken dark blue eyes still haunt her nightmares.
But that has faded having seen what she had in the recent weeks. The true hero battling against winged-men and women. Dragons, alongside various beasts of myths and legends. Cowling gods, dictating terms to entities beyond comprehension, and saving more damsels that, even she did not care to count.
That last one earned her more guilt but then again, her faith in him had been tested back then, lost to the whims of others but now was stronger than ever. Oh, how idiotic she was back then.
Now, she only wished she could apologise to him for her foolishness, for not believing in him, but right now the world needs to understand the threat they were in.
Then she could work towards his forgiveness.
The carriage shuddered suddenly, drawing the occupants attention outside and her breath hitched in her throat, eyes widening upon seeing the now historic battle site and the final resting place of a former Neo-slug sannin.
The final time and place where Team Seven had been together. The infamous battle of Team Seven.
Earth: Kouh Academy
Naruto glanced around, unable to help but wonder just how things had turned out. All these people were blocking out his senses completely, and he was more than a little on edge.
At his back, Ddraig was much the same but for different reasons. The eyes of all the big hitters were on him and no doubt more than a few were trying to figure out how he still lived. How he now had a human like form?
A low thrumming on his back tells the Red Dragon Emperor that his wings were itching to be let out to aid in his escape. Yet Ddraig ignored it. Naruto has been good to him, treated him as a friend and colleague. He had treated him with respect, despite their rocky start.
He has his back in this.
Fortunately, or unfortunately, depending on who you ask, Sirzechs broke the quiet stasis as he declared boldly. "This is devil territory! You are all trespassing."
All eyes from the others locked on him from their various positions around the school grounds. He growled further, bellowing. "Are you all trying to start a war? Fine! We shall…"
Thankfully, Serafall was faster than her friends mouth, slapping the back of his head to silence him growling lowly. "Do not be so hasty, moron."
Azazel was the one to respond first, nodding before stating. "She is right, Sirzechs. We are not here for a fight."
He paused to look over the gathering of various factions, briefly noting the numbers before looking back at the scarlet haired man and continued. "Though, I can only speak on behalf of the Grigori."
Gabriel snapped off immediately after her brother, saying. "We are here to protect the True Hero. We wish to open dialogue with him."
Micheal nodded gracefully, offering softly. "Most certainly. This sage opens up a bright future for all and we seek to aid him. We cannot ignore your wishes to harm him thus our presence here."
On the side of the Sage and Dragon, the older looking hunter called out. "We are here to protect the avatar of nature upon our ladies orders. We are his shield, his daggers on his orders, and we will see him protected."
This earned a raised brow from Naruto's tenants.
Yasaka was next to announce her factions presence here, saying. "Our duty is to the planet and as its representative, Lord Sage will be defended by us. As the True Hero, he has our loyalty."
Naruto groaned internally at the second use of the 'True Hero' he mentioned back when fighting those idiots. His tenants all smirked in amusement, Kurama had been busy getting up to speed, going through his little brother's recent memories, and was most definitely impressed. It was intriguing to see how his siblings chakra was used in their own versions of his gifted mode.
Amaterasu was the next to speak, gracefully stepping forward as she announced. "As the leader of the Shinto Pantheon, it is my duty to speak on behalf of our own and thus we are here to ensure the safety of the Sage in place of his patron as they are currently unavailable."
Many gasped at the insinuation of that statement. One of the Shinto gods was apparently the patron of the Sage? This was news to the world at large, and now many who wished to claim him as one of their own would have to go through the Shinto Pantheon.
This is a game changer.
All four Satans shared glances, unsure how to proceed. Azazel glanced to his closest confidant, Benemune, then to his best friend, Baraqiel, both looking back at him.
The two Arch Angels were stricken by this, glancing to one another, but Gabriel was not one to lose hope, and so was the first to respond. "Lady Amaterasu, may I ask you for the identity of this Patron? Perhaps we can come to an agreement as we wish to enter negotiations with Lord Hero for an issue we believe he is uniquely qualified for."
This earned more than a few raised eyebrows across the board, Naruto and his council included, though he did mumble and gripe internally about the new title but did not let that show.
The Satans though grew nervous at the prospect of Menma joining the Heaven Faction, and aiding them in anything as no doubt benefiting them greatly. A clear threat to devil.
As they still surrounded him, their glances did not go unnoticed by the four in the centre and got both the Hunters, the Sage, and the dragon to tense up. They were ready to fight out of this trap.
Amaterasu raised her eyebrows at the request, unsure what exactly this seraphim was asking as there was many things that could illicit. Especially in regard to the sage in question. Thus asked. "What exactly would this entail, little one?"
Yet before Gabriel could respond, Sirzechs did. "That we cannot allow. The sage is a rogue devil and we have taken him into custody to…"
Naruto and Ddraig both snorted, loudly, drawing eyes to the duo as the sage griped. "Last time I checked, I was in the process of kicking your ass for a second time."
The Satan bristled at that insinuation, glaring murder, as Sirzechs's form began to glow, as he spoke lowly. "Oh… in that case…"
Yet before he could transform into his true form, all the Seraphs act with Sariel appeared at Ajuka's back, sword at his throat. Gabriel appeared before the Satan of diplomatic relations, Serafall. Micheal appeared before the red head Satan, unusually stern face on his visage.
Azazel was before Falbium, flanked by Baraqiel with weapon's deployed alongside their white winged cousins, with hardened faces. Surprisingly, it was Gabriel who spoke first. "We cannot allow you to continue threatening our future hope."
Again, Naruto and his tenants raised brows at that declaration. Since when were they the hope to anyone's future?
Glancing around, the tension was at an all-time high, Naruto noted, and they could all guess that these six factions were about to fight over him. Great. Just perfect. All these people are interested in his strength and about to start a war over it.
Thankfully, a level headed Amaterasu spoke up. "Enough! Stand down, all of you."
Although hesitant, the angels all took a step back but held onto their light weapons in hand as they kept their eyes on the four Satan's, whom all looked more than a little troubled at this sudden ambush.
Sighing hard, Naruto muttered lowly. "Somethings never change, huh…?"
His internal beasts all nods to that. Before they could even respond, Serafall spoke. "I am sure we can be civil about this. An agreement perhaps. I am sure we can come to terms with one another in regards to Menma here."
The angels, both types, raised brows at the name though all caught the twitching lip of the sage, as if trying not to laugh at something. Azazel smothered his own smirk, suspecting that the devils had been duped in some way and had an incorrect name.
Yasaka frowned, hand tightening on her daughter, glancing at her Lady, Amateurasu who too wore a tighter frown and the wording from the devils. Thus, the Shinto leader spoke next, in defence of the sage. "Lady Satan. Our sage is not property to negotiate over. He is a free man and not one of your subjects."
Sirzechs growled lowly, eyes still a sharp crimson, and says. "He is our prisoner. He must face the crimes of…"
Naruto snorted, earning eyes on him but he just stared back blankly that forced Sirzechs to spoke lowly but full of a threatening undertone. "Am I wrong?"
The sage just looked around at everyone else, purposely ignoring the question. After a few moments, Naruto finally spoke rather airily. "You all seem to be busy now, I'll come back later…"
His flickering chakra was detected by the Youkai present, including Koneko, and it was Yasaka who called out first, recognising this shift from last time. "Wait, True Sage!"
Her shout was louder than Naruto expected and startled him, succeeding in preventing his departure. Yasaka continued. "We are here to apologise and hope you can…"
She was interrupted by a massive transfer circle appearing above the gathering, drawing everyone's attention as dropping out from it was a flood of magicians, rogues from an assortment of factions and pantheons the worked over, and a certain Hero Faction leader by the name of Cao Cao.
Beside him was a very familiar figure in the form of Georg, floating carelessly beside him as they lowered and the man bellowed. "Wipe them all out!"
A battle cry was heard and Naruto sighed, muttering. "Why did I assume things would go this way?"
Kurama chuckled, offering. "Because they always get worse than we they could."
Shukaku cackled. "More lambs to the slaughter!"
Gyūki offered. "This is in line with what we expected."
The others all nod and Naruto shook his head in disbelief, glancing back at Ddraig, who shrugged casually, before his eyes lock on to a particular man with silver hair, and a psychic expression as he surveyed the soon to be battleground. The red dragon offered. "That one's mine."
Naruto followed the gaze, to the teen and shrugged, replying. "Fine by me. Let me power you up a bit more."
He then places a hand on the dragons shoulder and a small surge in power draw the attention of the Hero faction leader and the white haired teens attention. Both noticing the sage and the redhead immediately.
The angels and the other faction members were quick to rally on the Sage, even the devils fell into line with him instead of against him, much to Naruto confusion. At his side, the two hunters of Artemis raise their bows at the trash that land ahead of them. Kiba and his fellow knight draw their blades.
The angel guards, regardless of their status as fallen or not, draw their weapons and join the line. Sariel and her team of exorcist fall into the same line surrounding the sage, weapons drawn. Yet again, Naruto didn't know why he was the rally point here but again, these heroes are trying shit again so he supposed he has to fulfil his promise.
Matatabi growled at his thoughts of confusion, hissing at her favrouite human. "Stop your grumbling, Naru-kun! You're the star of today, so stop whinging and get ready to prove to the world again that you are the hero of this world!"
The others all cheer in that regard, though Naruto mumbled about bossy women in his life telling him what to do, though Kurama added. "Come one, kit. It'll be like old times, no? Let's show them why we're are not to be crossed."
Letting out a deep breath, catching everyone's attention, Naruto slowly opened his eyes, his chakra humming to life as he stares down the man standing at the back of the opposing force. He looked young with short black hair, paired with blue eyes. Wearing a similar outfit to that of Georg and another uniform of some kind.
He was relatively tall but not as tall as he was, as Naruto knew he as about six-foot or so. Though his cocky smirk stunk of unfounded arrogance. Another Uchiha wannabe clearly. Guess it's time, though the sage looks upon the familiar spectacle wearing Georg and says. "I guess my warning was ignored, huh, glasses dude?"
Georg gulped and took a step back as his boss stepped on the air, moving forward and pointing at the blonde stating. "You there, Sage, have some nerve. You may have bested my second in command, but fear not. I am not so…"
Cao Cao paused upon seeing the sage conversing with Sariel, saying. "Then, after we show these idiots the error of their ways, I suggest ending them as I have already warned them and they are just causing more issues,"
The silver haired arch angel of death just nodded, confirming her agreement, Sariel replying. "That is understandable, Lord Sage. You had been very clear about their conduct."
Naruto nodded, before looking back at the leader of the human faction and stated. "Oh, sorry about that, did you say something?"
Cao Cao looked ready to bust a blood vessel at the cheek, thus roared out. "End them all! With this, we shall rule the world in their absence!"
The humans, Demi-gods, devils, fallen, and even Angels among the Khaos Brigade all roared as they charged forward. Firing off blasts of magic and arrows.
Naruto took a sharp breath, before smirking. "Guess it's time to prove my worth. Right, Kurama?"
Once more a wave of life erupted from Naruto, washing over the town and empowering those at his side and back, even the devils and fallen angels. The angels of heaven too felt empowered beyond the norm, as if their father was among them once more and now Micheal was convinced that this sage was as Gabriel said. The Key to Heavens future.
Even the enemy had to pause at the ludicrous amount of power coming from the Sage, unable to look away from him as if the world at large was glaring at them and judging them. As always, the truth seeker orbs materialised and even Sirzechs could sense that their strength was not to be underestimated.
Cao Cao looked upon this sage in wonder. How can any human, even a sage, hold such power that even the earth itself would raise arms in his defence?
He must have it.
Before he could give out new orders, Naruto spoke and his voice seemed to be carried by the wind to all corners of this fight. "I have warned you all before this day that should you endanger the innocent, you will have to face the consequences. Yet…"
Naruto took a single step forward, and the world itself seemed to weigh down his enemies, who all gulped. He continued. "You did not listen."
His two arms reached out either side, and two of his truth seekers approached his hands, and lengthened into a pair of short blades that he takes hold of as he gets into his stance. Naruto snarls. "This is on you, not me."
Battle for Kouh
It was Sariel who ordered the defenders. "Charge!"
Yasaka then snarled. "For the Sage!"
And just like that, Naruto charged forward, the six factions in attendance following his lead.
Naturally, the shinobi was the first in contact with the enemy lines, cutting through the opening barrages with deadly efficiency, and without breaking stride. Much to his surprise, that blond Gremory knight was hot on his heels with his sword cutting through wizard after wizard, knight after knight, and defending the exorcists that followed them both in.
Another sword comes down, Naruto blocks it as if in after thought, the sword began to disintegrate on contact that allows the blonde to heel kick him clear, and directly into a silver arrow.
Ducking beneath a light sword, Naruto side stepped the following slash, then barges the single set fallen, into that knight's waiting sword. One of the truth seekers shot off and blocked an incoming fireball, and then punched through three demigods before returning to Naruto who just cut through the armoured monster of some kind.
Sweeping around, Naruto watched as a twin set white angel was turned into a pin cushion by silver arrows, as it dropped before him. The two Greek hunters came into view, and he gave them a thumbs up.
They returned it, and Naruto ducked beneath the fist of a certain silver haired dragon emperor. But Naruto didn't pay him any attention as his truth seeking blade blocks a golden-edged long blade, that held enough force that the ground at his feet shattered.
Blinking at that, and the stunned look on the blond teenager holding the large handle, Naruto notices that this sword wasn't disintegrating and that his truth seeker blade actually had a dent in it. Damn. That sword is powerful enough to warrant his sole attention.
Unfortunately, a third player joined in, just like a third wheel, spinning his red staff, and swung at the sage who sensed nature energy coating the weapon. Naruto offered it a glance and the man froze stiff, as if a statue. Shaking his head, the sage pushes back the golden blade with seeming ease, and kicked the teen back with enough force to send him flying.
As he lowers his foot, Naruto confronts the sage who was stuck still at his side and grins so foxily, that the distant Yasaka nearly needs to get a new set of underwear. He spoke. "A fellow sage, huh? Your skill and knowledge is clearly lacking in many departments."
The monkey sage was helpless right now and nothing he was doing was working. His body was completely unresponsive. What the hell?
Naruto then released the blade in his left hand, and it returned to ball form and returned to the formation at his back. He then extended his now free hand out towards the monkey sage and against the man's will, his grip on his gold capped, red staff loosened and it casually floated from one sage to the other.
Once Naruto took hold of it, he swung it around as a test for a bit and nodding his approval before looking back at his fellow nature energy wielder, saying. "Nice staff. Until you finish your studies, I'll hold on to it."
Bikou was furious right now yet there was nothing he could do, and this is when Naruto looked like he was about to be tackled by Vali, who was flying directly at his back. Yet, before he impacted, a red blur crashed into the white dragon host, and sent tumbling off course.
Then, out of no where, one of those balls shot off into the fight and returned to formation after taking out another collection of demigods. Grinning, Naruto then raised a hand, smirking. "Nighty-night."
With a click of his fingers, Bikou, descendent of Sun Wukong, passed out.
Naruto turned back in time to to block the blonde's blade again, the pole arm in his left hand resting against his should as his truth seeker blade in his right hand was holding the sword of legends, Calibrun, off as he conversed with his tenants quickly.
Kurama was busting a gut, his tails swaying all over the forest clearing. "Oh man! My tails! By fathers name…"
Shukaku was very much the same, fist slamming against the floor speaking incoherently.
Most the other Bijuu were chuckling at that, though not as severely. All but Son Goku, who commented. "That level of disrespect, Naruto… was it necessary?"
Naruto's internal representation, just shrugged at the question, replying. "You know how long and hard I've worked to become a sage back home, and even here after we discovered the damage done to this planet. Yet, that sage is out here causing issues…"
He scowled hard, arms crossed as he glared at nothing in particular. "He was part of the damn problem. No, Son Goku. I do not think I went far enough. If we cross paths again, I'll show him exactly what I think of his attempts at claiming to be a sage."
Son Goku nodded, understanding that and allowed Naruto to return outward to the fight at large. Not even five seconds had passed so he was clashing with that suit wearing blonde. Seriously, who comes to a fight in such a movement restricting garment.
Pushing the teen back again, Naruto forces his fellow blond back and he takes a healthy leap back but remain on his feet, sword raised. This allowed Naruto to seal away the red staff in his coat, much to the surprise of his opponent, who introduced himself. "My name is Arthur Pendragon, and I must ask you to return the Rubi Jingu Bang immediately."
Instead, Naruto just called forth a truth seeker orb and it lengthened into another sword and he too, up stance again before luring forward and were it not for Arthur's innate ability as a master swordsmen, he would have been bisected. Naruto kept on the attack, unyielding and unrelenting with his speed gently increasing.
Kiba and Asia
A few minutes before… directly after Naruto pushed a fallen onto Kiba's blade.
Kiba flung the fallen off and sped off to bock the attack on Tomoe's back, that he was late for but managed to kill the demi-god of Aries before kicking the body clear, and with a single glance, he notices that both were alive but defenceless for now.
It was up to him.
Spinning around, Kiba then blocked three more arrow shots, summoned a second blade and sliced through a fireball barrage, defending both the wounded Tomoe and Genshirou, who she had been defending.
As he did this, Asia of all people appeared and her twilight healing erupts with power, coating both Tomoe and Genshirou, though she also managed to reach the embattled Kiba with minimal effort on her part. The healing took only a fraction of time it would normally and a huge reduction of the cost of her magic reseves, much to everyone surprise.
As it died down, all three combat devils smile at her and offer their thanks. Kiba offering first. "Good work Asia-san."
Tomoe nodded with a grin and thumbs up. "You're a true saint there."
Genshirou too smiled, blushing lightly. "Thank you for the help, Asia-san."
Asia just bowed lightly, before spotting another few injured, and with her resolve to save as many as she could. Rushed into the battleground. The others share a look briefly, but rush after her.
Just as the three began to close in on the former nun, they saw a Greek demigod lunge with a spear aimed at her. Everything seemed to freeze for a moment, but Asia remained defiant about evading, then suddenly one of those black balls of the sage, punched through him and three others, causing them to disintegrate.
Asia finishes healing another angel, who thanks her with a smile and nod, before returning to the front lines once more. The former nun, turned back to her new guard detail and declares. "I will be a hero too. I want to save as many lives as I can."
Kiba smirked, nodding his approval, as do the others as they all recall Menma's words. The knight then points to another grouping of wounded, and states. "Go on, Lady Asia. We shall defend your back."
Asia nodded with a small smile, before glancing at her twilight healing briefly before running off, he guards on her tail.
Sariel's Team
During the initial charge…
Sariel runs ahead of her team, giving out orders. "We hit hard whilst we have the Sage's blessing…"
Jorden, at her side, asks. "Is that what this power surge is?"
Sariel nods, continuing. "Jorden, and Gertrude, take the left flank."
Said two exorcists rush off, the lady of death continued. "Xenovia and Irina, take the right side. Be careful, that is where the bulk of the devils are."
Xenovia nodded. "At once."
Both she and Irina took off, swords out and ready to kick some ass. Sariel then orders her group. "Stick on me and try keep up."
"Yes lady Sariel."
Xenovia and Irina
Issei blocks then deselects an over head slash from a fallen, but takes a kick to the side and stumbled. He was still able to block the overhead slash, but again was kicked back. Before the Fallen Woman could bring her sword down to end this low class devil, she was bisected by the twin tailed exorcist.
As the traitor of a fallen fell aside revealing the twin tailed chestnut hair of a young woman, he smiled as she offered a hand to the down Issei. "Hey, Issei-kun, it's been awhile…!"
Issei looked bewildered for all of a second, before pushing himself up and getting back to his feet, ignoring the helping hand. As he passes the two exorcists, he grabs the cursed sword, much to their surprise and turns back to them and asking. "What the hell are two goodie-two shoes doing here? We're enemies of one another right?"
Irina frowned, glancing at Xenovia who just shrugged and turned away. Sighing, the Excalibur mimic wielder shook her head, before following after her friend. Issei followed a moment later, only to dodge a rogue shot of dragon magic.
With Durandal out, Xenovia smashed through a small cluster of wizards, the ground exploding beneath her overhead ground slash. In the wake of the ground splitting slash, a snake like blade rendered flesh from bone, and Irina can be seen slicing through any recovering enemy before they could put up a defence again.
They were about to charge another group, when Xenovia caught sight of the Sage parrying Caliburn and had her mouth hang ajar. When Irina followed her gaze, her jaw followed Xenovia's. Then the Sage's furiously unrelenting assault that was pushing the wielder of the Holy King Sword back.
Yes, this was way above their pay grade.
Ddriag and Albion
Just as Vali was about to pounce on the sage from behind as he as distracted by Bikou, he finds himself tackled and forced off course and tumbling before leaping back to his feet.
Growling, Vali looks at this man before him. Tall, like six-foot six or so. Long crimson hair, bright green eyes that seem to be glowing with power. Crimson biker jacket atop a black t-shirt and cargos but what caught the white dragon holders attention were his fingerless gauntlets.
Taking a double take, the human/devil hybrid looked between his own and this man's then watched this man smirk grow wider, elongated fangs coming into view as he spoke. "It has been a long time, hasn't it Albion."
The blue orb of the white gauntlet began to pulse and shimmer, before a new voice spoke. "Ddraig. How is this possible? We heard you were killed."
Vali looked bewildered at this development. Not only was the red dragon alive, but free from his gear in a human like form too. What the hell?
Ddraig let out a deep chuckle, it was heavy and filled with mirth. "Yes, that was the plan. Part of the deal I had made. Though, what good that did me."
He sounded bitter at the end, peaking the attention of both holder and held. Albion asking. "What deal, red one?"
Ddraig smirked, raising his fists into a defensive kick boxer posture. "Sorry, old friend. You're host will have to beat it out of me. This will be our last fight as sworn rivals. I grow wary of it."
Vali smirked, liking the sound of this. Forget those weak holders but the red dragon himself. Though, Albion felt compelled to ask. "Wary? So, you are saying that I am superior? You admit it?"
Ddriag chuckles lowly, shaking his head. "No brother. There are greater things that require our attention. Better ways to prove our superiority. I have since seen this light and realise that our rivalry is that of mere hatchlings. Perhaps, we can talk about it after this fight."
Ddraig charges forward, Vali matching him and the their fists clashing send out blasts of energy in all directions, and just one narrowly missed a former host.
The rear line…
The sage charges in with everyone on his tail leaving the faction heads, observing the feeling of power swelling up within them all. Even Amaterasu was feeling it.
Gabriel was the first to summon a healing light, and it near enough exploded out with little effort on her part and was far more potent than normal. She whispered. "This… this is the Sage's blessing. It's amazing."
Azazel summoned a light spear that again, erupted out with minimal effort on his part. "Most definitely…"
Serafall cast an ice ball, and it was nearly twice the size with half the cost causing her to break into an ever increasing giggle. Her sister Sona, summoned a water spell which cost her near enough nothing to conjure up however she did notice that water in the air condensed instead of magic forming said water. It was interesting.
Micheal summoned heavenly flames that erupted too, far brighter and warmer than ever with little effort on his end.
Yasaka's fox flame was near enough to white flames with a hint of blue, and she could control more of them. Kunou accidentally breathed out blue flames when she giggled at her mother's dumbfounded look at her increased flames intensity.
Of course as everyone else was amazed at their passive power increase, their was one who wasn't and it only further pissed him off. Looking at the heavily suppressed power of destruction in his hand, Sirzechs muttered. "Why is it everyone else gets their power boosted but mine get suppressed?"
Rias too had noticed this, looking at her own barely simmering power in hand before like the others, all eyes look to see his barely simmering power in his hand, but it was Amaterasu who answered rather flippantly. "It makes sense no?"
Drawing all eyes to her, including the Red Satan, so she explained as if speaking to children. "He is a sage of life. Life. Not death. Anything associated with life or nature, his presence will boost. The inverse is also true. Which then means?"
All eyes look back to the red headed Satan Lucifer, who let out a weighted sigh, Sirzechs mumbling. "Destruction and death are suppressed."
The Shinto Sun goddess nodded as she watched on as the Sage confronts the the Hero king sword user and that other sage. She raised a brow when the monkey sage seized up and the sage took his weapon then knocked him out with a click. Oh. That is rather disgraceful.
A sudden thunderstorm drew all eyes to the side where Akeno, who was standing beside her wheelchair bound king, was staring at the crackling lightning she was holding in hand with manic grin on her face.
Koneko, who's ears and tails were forcefully exposed since the sage power up, and Rias both backed away from the lightning priestess as some of those bolts were getting dangerously close for comfort. Then, like Serafall, Akeno started giggling. It was not a nice giggle but a terrifying one.
Sirzechs was brought out of his momentary misery when his queen clung to him, panting hard as if troubled and he got serious, calling out. "Grayfia? What's wrong?"
All eyes fall onto the silver haired woman, who looked like she was burning up and freezing at the same time. Though, Grayfier managed to mutter out. "Power. Over flow. Fighting back."
Sirzechs looked around, yet it was Azazel who noticed that only the devil's we're seemingly affected by, what he assumed was, a power overflow. True, he and his fellow angels are boosted but their power isn't over filling just remaining topped up. Not to mention, the two Gremory aren't affected by this phenomenon.
Suddenly, Sona started giggling too, with water swirling around her calmly and almost hypnotically which clued Azazel in as he clicked his fingers. He voices his thoughts. "Life. Nature. It seems that this blessing boosts magics related nature. Serafall and Grayfia's ice magic. Sparky over there, lightning and my guess is one armed bob-cut has a water nature."
Rias nodded but asks. "Then, why am I not Koneko not affected?"
Yasaka spoke next, having understood what was going on now too. "Well, little kitty was born a Youkai. Her system is probably highly super charged but stable, far more capable of dealing with this enhancement."
Rias looked to her Rook who looks back, with more power in her brown feline eyes then ever before. Koneko nodded, before saying. "I am strong, Bachu."
Sirzechs, now clued in, says. "Then, as our primary power is of destruction itself. We are largely unaffected by it."
Azazel nodded with a smirk. "Your output might be a little lower but at least you aren't getting drunk with your own power."
Naruto verse Arthur
Arthur executes a perfect back flip, spinning twice before landing gracefully, sword up and smirking at his opponent who's right blade had been sliced through. He had hit it close to twenty times in the exact same spot in under ten seconds. This proves that this sage can be cut down, his defence is not infallible or unassailable.
Just differcult to break through.
Naruto on the other hand stared at his severed truth seeking orb turned short sword and would give credit where credit is due. That sword is most definitely powerful, able to cut through nature itself and resist their natural ability to disintegrate anything they touch.
As the two parts of the blade break apart into sand then fade into the wind, Naruto looks back at this swordsman ahead of him and nodded, commenting. "I admit. I was not expecting that."
Arthur nodded back, replying curtly. "Neither did I. Those blades of yours are the first I have come across that are not immediately sliced apart by my holy sword, Caliburn. You are a worthy adversary."
Naruto nodded, before replying seemingly casually. "Then, I ask you to reconsider your position and decide whether you wish to continue this. Seeing just how dangerous such a weapon is in that hand of such a skilled person like you, I will have to actually start to take you seriously."
Breaking into a grin, a foxy grin, that was matched by his longest serving tenant who chuckled lowly as they both knew this prideful arrogant type will not take that kind of insult lightly. They weren't wrong.
Arthur narrowed his eyes. How dare this sage claim to not be fighting him seriously. No. Stay calm, he must be trying to get under his skin. That has to be it. Smirking, the strongest holy sword user replied with a challenging undertone. "Skilled? Hardly. I am merely warming up. Testing your worthiness against some basic principles."
Naruto looked amused as he knew just how hard this Arthur guy had worked to cut through his single truth seeking ball. Though, listened on as his fellow blonde continued. "Now, though, I, Arthur Pendragon, descendent of King Arthur, am assured that you are not a waste of my time. I shall came at you with my full might."
Nodding, the sage extended out his free hand and another truth seeking ball moved from his back to form a second blade. Though internally, Son Goku asked his little brother figure. "Say, Naruto. Why are you not using my blade?"
They could all feel his foxy grin, Naruto replying internally. "To give him false hope at beating us, to see just how strong he truly is under dire circumstances. That will tell us what kind of person he is."
Son Goku, Chomei and Gyūki nod their acceptance. Kurama and Shukaku though were chuckling menacingly at the thought of this man's despair in the end. Though, Matatabi and Saiken both shake their heads in disappointment knowing that Naruto's real goal was likely to prank this poor fool, playing with his emotions and then crush him fully.
They both had the thought of how hot that was though, but would never tell a soul about that particular stray thought.
Back outside, Naruto retook his stance, his eyes void of nothing but action as now the legend of the forth shinobi war was about to show this man and, by sight proximity, why Naruto Uzumaki was considered the Elemental Nations triple S-rank calamity class threat.
Show this world the folly of crossing the child of prophecy, hero of his world, and the Nidaime Sage of Six Paths.
In a flash of yellow, Naruto was on Arthur within the blink of a baby bird, leaving the descendent of a long dead king in shock for a full second, and allowed his blade to be cut into, knocked aside, and a foot to meet his gut.
The force of the kick was like getting hit by a freight train, and Arthur was using everything he had not to keel over and faint as he watched blood escape his silent screaming.
After crashing through several of his fellows, Naruto appeared above him with an axe kick that shattered the ground that was traveling beneath the flung holy hero, and would have shattered him to had he not positioned his blade to take the hit in his stead.
Arthur felt the bending and shuddering of the holy blade in both hands that held it against that dropping kick, and was now very concerned.
Flipping back from the former crater, Naruto changed target temporarily, cutting through the numerous enemies in his immediate vicinity. With a quick glance, he noticed two allied exorcists in danger of being overrun. One had a large blue sword and the other a snake like blade whip.
Naruto vs Khaos Brigade
In a flash, he appeared beside them, cutting through a six winged fallen, then beheading a four winged pure angle, then slicing directly vertically down a wizard and his magic circle. The next moment, the blue haired woman appeared on his left, using the flat of her blade to defend against a lightning blast, and the bladed whip cut through the fool the next moment.
Naruto then seemed to vanish once more, flashes of yellow erupting across the battle space and seemingly defending all the allied forces from blind side strikes at once. He reappeared blocking a war hammer slam against the healing devil, that was now at his back and felt the rushing air blow through her long blonde hair.
She only caught the soft glowing golden cloak he wore, before his opponent was cut through by her fellow peerage member and knight of the Gremory who seemed to fall into a pattern of attack with the flashing golden light.
Together with this knight, Naruto battled against the opposing devils of four leathery wings and no doubt strays as twin blurs of gold and silver, their blades making quick work. When the area was clear once more, both stood side to side, twin swords in hand and the devil's blades coated in the blood of those that were out to harm his own.
A brief glance and a fist bump shared before the sage vanished back into the fight, returning to his own encounter as Arthur had managed to shakily get to his feet, breathing hard and was now being confronted by the exorcist squad.
Arthur stared at his fellow holy sword wielders that are standing opposite him, Excalibur destruction, and mimic no less. He was unamused and made that known. "How dare you raise those swords against your king. Do you not know how disgraceful that is?"
Xenovia remained blank faced, eyes narrowed on this traitor. "You are a traitor to the name of our beloved lord. Surrender and return Caliburn. You are unworthy of wielding it."
This angered the descendant of King Arthur something fierce. First it was the sage disrespecting him, now these lowly exorcist believe he is within their realm of control. How distasteful. Adjusting his glasses, Arthur replied through gritted teeth. "Out of my way, commoner. I have no patience for those who follow a dead god."
That caused all six exorcists to freeze dead, with widened eyes and hearts in their throat. Seeing the stunned faces upon their faces, Arthur realised that they did not know and subsequently, he shouldn't have told them. It matters not. They were in the way and this has removed them.
Surprisingly, Xenovia was the first to remove the shock and growled back raising her sword. "You are a traitor. I will not fall for your lies."
Arthur sighed softly, replying as he finally regained enough strength to lift Caliburn again and stand straight again. "I am above such petty lies, commoner. The biblical god died on battle with the original four Satans centuries ago. If you do not believe me, then live in ignorance for all I care. I will cut you down all the same."
The feel of her world turning on its head, was something Xenovia was unaccustomed to as heart began to fall into despair and hopelessness. This was common with all those that learned this tightly kept truth. Her own stead fast belief had now became curse that sapped her strength and will to live. Was it all for nothing? Then what was this all for?
Why were they lied too?
Seeing them all descend into darkness and despair, Arthur simply raised his blade and prepared to put the bow on these loose ends. "Worthless commoners."
The sword came down only for a loud ding to ring out, drawing the eyes of lead up to the billowing golden cloak and the feel of warmth that covered them like a blanket brought life back to the seven stricken souls at back. Xenovia and Irina both recalled Lady mother/Seria's words about this person who had saved them.
He is the future of heaven.
Realisation hit them like a punch to the gut, and their resolve returned as they push themselves up in time to hear the words from the sages mouth.
Naruto was livid. Absolutely and fully livid. How dare he tear down and torture these innocent people by taking away their faith in humanity and a benevolent benefactor like he had. He might not believe the same god they do, heck he isn't a religious type like most shinobi, but that does not give anyone the right to take that from them.
Not even those guys in torture and interrogation pull that kind of shit, and those fuckers are some of the most messed up kind of shinobi of all. Just beneath mad scientist that is.
Letting out an absolutely feral snarl that halted the battlefield over due to the amount of bloodlust leaking from it, Naruto growled. "How dare you?"
His power spiked and all his tenants knew that this wasn't going to be pretty. Naruto's power erupted out as he roared. "HOW FUCKING DARE YOU?!"
Arthur was flung back from the outburst, and only Arthur, and he rag dolled while skipping across the now silent battle ground. By the time the holy king descendent, looked up, Naruto's twin blades had been replaced by a single shakujō held in his right hand as he closed in, killing intent oozing from him like a blanket.
It was only now that one, Arthur Pendragon realised that this was not the swordsmen he was clashing with earlier. This was not the ever helpful sage in hiding. Nor the sage who was attempting to escape the devils. No, he was now facing down the Nidaime Sage of Six Paths.
He would have swallowed spit if he had the bodily function to do so.
Every eye within the three worlds that could watched this True hero, this True sage confront the latest descendent of the holy hero King Arthur, the strongest Holy Sword User, without hesitation nor flinch with anger not for himself but for those he defends.
And was winning with willpower alone.
Stopping before another wannabe king, riding on the coattails of his ancestors, Naruto hoisted the one known as the strongest holy sword user by his shirt's neckline and snarled at him. "As I have aid before, just like those fools who claim to be heroes…"
He spoke the term heroes with distaste at the memory, causing said faction members to flinch but listened to the Sage speak once more. "Like them, you lack the fundamental strength and principles to claim the title of your forefather you cling too. You are nothing but a prideful, arrogant jerk who sees yourself as better than everyone else who lacks your pedigree."
Not even the wind dared blow, as if too wishing to listen in. Naruto continued. "You claim the title King. I am not unfamiliar with that term as I have come across a fair few myself. However, they were kings not by birthright but by the basic principles they lived by."
Naruto knew he was going by the seat of his pants here but kings were the same as Kage's, not one to one, but there was a lot of overlap so he presses on. "They were kings as they were acknowledged by those that stood ahead to defend and protect. Strengthened by the loyalty and respect of their people. They do not rule by fear, nor wage war out of fear or greed. Rather, they fight to ensure those at their backs, those under their careful watch are safe and secure."
He snarled something fierce, growling. "Hatred, corruption, nor fear cannot thrive beneath the leadership of a true king who cause is just, heart filled with love for his people, and resolve to defend them against all."
Lifting the man in his grasp up and off his feet, Naruto continued. "They do not need to claim themselves Kings; their subjects will tell them willingly. Their hearts beat for others, their eyes always seek the brighter path for all. Their unshakeable resolve known by all."
Throwing the blonde back, Arthur drops on his ass in pain but he still managed to watch as Naruto lifted his spare right hand over the dropped Caliburn, that promptly levitated slowly and gracefully into the outstretched hand.
The second his hand took hold of its handle, it flowed a brilliant gold that caused more than a few to take a knee at the sight of this overwhelming aura. Arthur's mind couldn't comprehend what was going on.
Naruto on the other hand, was still focused solely upon this worm ahead of him as he continued. "You are unworthy of this sword, your title, and claim to fame. So…"
But before Naruto could finish, a certain leader of the human faction appeared at his back and thrusted his bladed spear forward. With speed worthy of his heritage, Naruto seemed to flicker briefly and deflect the attack with his shakujō, with some effort and sparks exploding from the contact.
Growling himself, Cao Cao yelled. "You will fall here, Sage!"
Just then, off to his exposed left side appeared a young woman, wearing a similar uniform as this spear wielder but with armour atop it, with blonde hair and sky blue eyes. Her rapier primed to punch right through the caught off guard Sage, and as she thrusted, she found her strike redirected upward by Caliburn.
Before she could adjust her heading, the sage's foot met her side and she was sent tumbling. Hoping this was an opening, Cao Cao began thrusting his spear that Naruto deflecting and ducking aside from. Again, during a clash that Cao Cao leaned into and forced the sage to anchor himself against, another new player entered the fight.
This young man head neat brown hair, same uniform as the other two with a different style atop it, but had a weird looking face on a shield and sword coming down to strike.
The sword was intercepted by one of those black balls that were hovering at the sages back and deflected away the strike and again, a kick was launched to gain space but this hero blocked it with his shield. Subsequently, the sage used this to push himself clear of the rapid fire strikes.
Naruto landed clear and studied the surroundings briefly. The battle at large seemed largely over, and the allies had pulled back to recover. Perhaps he could pull back his wide range chakra support. No. From the feel of it, many of the injured are being supported by it and will likely die from their sustained injuries if he did.
The two new comers have regrouped with their leader and together they intend to create a unified front against him. Where was that other one? The one with the dimensional abilities. Blinking owlishly, Naruto looked to his left where Georg suddenly froze, having attempted to sneak around the sage, having realised he had been spotted.
Speaking casually, Naruto reminded the teenager. "Remember what I said about next time I see you, jackass?"
Georg was sweating bullets as he stared into those cold golden eyes that held a cross in them. Nervously, the hero vice leader nodded rather meekly before muttering. "I do lord sage."
Naruto nodded, before vanishing from his position, avoiding the slamming attack from Cao Cao, the shield wall between the sage and Georg, and the rapid strikes from the rapier wielder.
Aburptly, Georg shuddered and eyes widened when he looked down to see that the Sage had suddenly appeared ahead of him. That was terrifying enough, but not as much as having half his forearm buried in his chest.
His breath hitched upon feeling an unexplainable sensation ripple through his entire being and yet before he could attempt to do anything, the sage yanked out a glass orb of purple mist. Without any further warning, George's world went black though the sages final words still registered in his mind. "I am a man of my word."
Rear line; when Naruto saved Xenovia
The wounded were spread out but no matter how badly injured, none were in threat of loosing their lives. The power dubbed by Gabriel as "The sage's blessing" has basically prevented the injured from succumbing to their wounds. Well, more like extended the time required for bleed out by several factors depending on the injury.
Lost limbs can be reattached but not regrown. Heart wounds are instant death, nothing to do there, but major open wounds and bleed outs had been stalled but not stopped. This has given the medical personnel enough time to tend to them all individually.
The current MVP at the moment was none other than Asia Argento, currently healing two separate patients at once, one in each hand, and successfully stabilising them both, much to her own secret joy. All the angels present can hardly believe how saintly this devil is, surely the church made a mistake with this one.
However, Asia was also the first to notice the gradually declining of the Sage's blessing and looked to hr fellow healers, announcing. "Umm… we need to focus on stabilising the worst injuries before the blessing wares off any further."
This caused the defenders, the Satans, Arch angels, and their direct escorts to glance back at the nun. Though, it was Gabriel who focused on the sensation she associated with the blessing she named, and confirmed that it had decreased in potency but just as she was about to confirm it.
The sages voice roared out. "HOW FUCKING DARE YOU?!"
And the blessing reignited, far more potent than before and the halo's of all the pure angels seemed to glow ever brighter in response, irritating all the devils nearby. All eyes were fixated on the sage once more as he spoke of the true nature of a king and their relationship to those they lead. Once again, he stunned the audience.
This sage is truly a wise man.
All the devil kings in attendance felt empowered by his words. Rias especially knew that her peerage was her family and she would do anything to protect them. She will always lead them from the front, be their guardian, and never give them a reason to suspect that she meant them harm.
Even Sirzechs had to give it to Menma. That was a fine speech.
All the angels seemed ready to bow before the sage at that moment but even they were not prepared for Caliburn seemingly accepting the Sage as its new wielder. Yet their shock was short lived as a new voice, above them, called out. "Ara-ara… what do we have here? All the Fake Satan's gathered together and colluding with our natural enemies. We could never condone such actions…"
All eyes landed on a tall, bespectacled woman with a voluptuous figure of a tanned complexion. Her long brown hair was tied into a bun with a headset of some kind, with gleaming violet eyes that were filled with pure, unadulterated hatred for those beneath her. Sirzechs growled at her, muttering her name like a poison. "Katerea Leviathan…"
She smirked, though her company, a man dressed like noble in all black with dark red belts and motifs. His cape bellowed in the wind as he spoke next. "You clearly can't be still thinking of peace can you, you impostorous Satans?!"
This time it was Azazel who sighed, shaking his head. "Figured, you too had sided with Khaos Brigade, Creuserey Asmodeus. Figured you would be too proud to serve anyone but yourself."
Sirzechs spoke after. "This is not the time for this. Stand down and we can talk like civilised adults and…"
Katerea snorted, shaking her head, before replying. "No. We are only here to keep you company, and out of the way. After all…"
Her smirk became predatory, finishing. "Our goals have been altered."
Creuserey glanced to his fellow original Satan dubiously, stating. "Do you have the habit of spilling out your goals to your enemies?"
Katerea realised what he was talking about and just huffed, though she did glance back at the sage currently with his arm in that hero. It was fleeting, discreet, but filled with a lust she hadn't had before.
That unfortunately was only caught by Azazel, as the Arch Angel of Lust meaning he could pretty much figure out who was lusting after who, and the fact that only Katerea was getting all heated and not Creuserey, meant that her target was a male. Strong as she is of the prideful old faction, and present.
He blinked as he looked at the only one who could possibly be her target, Azazel muttering. "The sage…"
Naturally all the leaders nearby heard, and Creuserey sighed while Katerea blushed lightly but fought it down which only confirmed their intent.
Back with Naruto…
With a puff of smoke, the glass orb had vanished into his haori like the staff he confiscated earlier from his fellow sage, Naruto then makes his way towards the bewildered and somewhat hesitant band of heroes. He strode with purpose, confidence, and no sign of hesitation which was actually more fear inducing than if he was glaring at them.
This meant he was confident that he could handle them.
Cao Cao was glaring murder, lifting his True Longinus and declaring. "You will hand back Dimension Lost, and surrender to your protectors. We the Hero faction…"
Naruto had stopped a fair distance from them, when the human faction leader was interrupted by a familiar vixen, who dropped in beside the Sage, having had enough sitting on the sidelines. "Surely you mean your 'Human Faction' as everyone calls you."
A quick glance to his right confirmed for Naruto that Yasaka was standing there, and clearly itching for this fight. Her white flames hovered around her and she was glaring death at his foes.
Cao Cao glared right back at the Youkai leader for that, though his fellow and heroine stepped forward, with a calm smile. "Forgive my rudeness. Yasaka of the Youkai, however we are the Hero faction. I swear that on thy name as Jeanne."
Yet another new arrival spoke next, seemingly appear from no where. "Yet, everyone has been calling you 'The Human Faction' ever since Lord Sage has declared it so."
A glance to his left, showed Naruto that the black cat girl from the forest, looking incredibly feral and damn right murderous at the humans that dare challenge him. This was most definitely unexpected, though he wouldn't complain as it saves him from pulling out his ever reliable shadow clones he was planning on using.
A trump card for later then.
The young man now stepped forward, finally announcing himself. "I am the Great Perseus! Men-of-men, Perseus-sama. I do believe we have a fair fight now. I will greatly enjoy this."
Cao Cao then grinned announcing. "I am Cao Cao, leader of the Heroes of Humanity."
Naruto sighed, but he guessed he should play along with this all as it allows more lives to be saved by his spread out power right now. He finally spoke, lifting up Caliburn and resting it against his shoulder casually. "You can call me by my title, Nidaime Sage of Six Paths."
Yasaka was internally disappointed, having hoped to finally learn his true name, but didn't let it show as she announced. "Yasaka no Yoko of the Kyoto Youkai Faction."
Following the pace of things, the black cat announced herself too. "Kuroka the Nekoshou, apprentice of the Sage."
That got more than a few raised brows, and just as Naruto glanced to her, Matatabi hissed in his head. "Don't you dare…"
Naruto was prompt to return his focus forward, feigning nonchalance to that declaration despite the absolutely dirty side-eye he was getting from the Kyuubi on his right. He dared not acknowledge it, and instead asked with his foxy grin on full. "So, are we going to stand around like idiots or are we going to teach you a lesson the hard way…?"
Yasaka and Kuroka both smirked as they took up battle stances at Naruto's flanks, whereas the humans followed suit with eyes filled with determination. Chuckling, Naruto was the only one relaxed despite currently wielding one of the most dangerous weapons this world has. He whispered but was heard by all. "Hard way it is…"
A/N: Well that escalated quickly. Had to rewrite it a few times but due to absolute choas in this page, it was hard to follow a single POV through the entirety of it all as their were points I wanted to highlight for future references. Kiba and Asia's growth, the beneficial/adverse effects Naruto's SOSP has when he spreads it out.
I ran out space this page but next one will cover how Serafall and Grayfia's overpowering is channeled as they both just kinda stop holding themselves back against the old faction devils and overcharge all their magic attacks to relieve their symptoms and think straight again.
Sirzechs though also realises that, even though his bloodline magic is being suppressed, his physical capabilities are enhanced due to the natrue of Menma's aura. Unfortunately it doesn't help as their opponents had inadvertently flagged themselves on Naruto's sensory as allies thus also receive his buffs.
As he is directly busy and only indirectly monitoring everything from a distance, he had assumed the old devil faction members, who had appeared seemingly beside the other "good guys", his tenants assumed them allies and buffed them too.
