HELLO!
...That was aggressive... but I'm excited ;-;.
So I have a general idea of this story but I have no idea what to do for some parts. I'm gonna make the guidelines right after this, so look at that if you want. (Please, I'm missing an important character XD) I'll also put something to tell you the characters ages and stuff.
Thing is no one might actually read this ;3;
I'm still gonna finish it, even if I don't get suggestions and stuff. But it'd be pretty cool, if I did. Not a lot of people ship Len and Gumi... weirdos. (I'm joking 0_o)
So let me go over a few things:
1.) Len and Rin are related in this story. They aren't twins though, Len is a year older because I can.
2.) I don't know that much about Vocaloids. I mean I have been a fan of the music for years, but I definitely don't know much. So if you want me to add an existing Vocaloid, please give me a description on what they're like.
3.) I've made this T because there's going to be swearing, and possibly light violence. Not sure if this is just going to be light-hearted romance (kinda) or NSFW type stuff (I'm judging myself too). But that stuff is more for the second part of the story, which is far far away (and will be M). I'm thinking something along the lines of "Spice"(They'll be older later). This first part is kinda like "First Love Academy". So, yeah Len is gonna like his sister (0.o) , it's not getting too crazy just yet though. (I don't mean extremely detailed blah blah NSFW. I think.. I don't know, to be honest the rules and guidelines for this site lowkey scares me. Even though I've seen some detailed stuff here but still.)
4.) I will mention some songs in the story. It won't happen a lot it'll just be like little songs the character wrote for an assignment or something. I might even say that a song like "The World is Mine" is sung by a completely different vocaloid in the storyline. If it fits, I sits . . . down and use it. (You can suggest that stuff too, if you want ;3)
5.) Vocaloids don't really have parents so…. their parents might be mentioned but they don't exist, they're basically just the excuse for how the vocaloids had so much money.
6.) I don't know what to call the school… help. I could go with Crypton or Yamaha or whatever but that might work better for the second part because that'll be all "Vocaloids" instead of a mix of the arts.
7.) This first half of the story takes place in a mixed art school thing that is seen as "elite" globally, some of the assignments or projects they're working on will be published for the world to see (Art, Songs, Plays, etc.). In the second half, it will be similar and there will be events were songs will be performed like a concert. (I found this a confusing, so here's a shitty explanation.)So when they go to that weird college, or university thing, that happens later is basically just their jobs. They live at their jobs, like how they live in a database... idk man. THEY CAN NEVER LEAVE, MUAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
8.) This won't be that accurate to life in japan because I'm an uncultured swine, but hey I'm trying. (This world isn't real, YOU HEAR THAT COLOREDCATS!?... I'm joking read "Scorned", don't at me for my bullshit.)
9.) This won't be that serious, if you're looking for a serious fanfiction. One, why? Two, wait for the second part cause I'm gonna be a weird as I want on this side.
If there are typos...I tried, alright. I really tried. This took hours. No joke.
I don't own Vocaloid. Clearly. But the story, it's all mine bb. (I apologize, for that...)
May 16, Wednesday.
It's a l0VeLy Wednesday morning. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and school starts soon. Everything's going ... that clock. . . hold up. . IS THIS A JOKE?! ARE YOU F&* ——
"CARROTS ALL THE CARROTS, AHAHAAHAHAHAHAAH- *cough*- Haha... Yeah, I'm over it."
Suddenly, one of the carrots grew to the size of a toddler. Then, it grew a mouth and eyes. The carrot spoke with its horrifying, menacing, ghastly, and extremely annoying voice.
"bUt gUmMi iT W3nsDAy, anD U hAv 2 gO n3W ScH0l!! iT aLL Is JusT AWfuL!"
It took a deep breath of air.
"wUt iF t3H F0od iS Gr0sS, OrE tHe T3acHeRs MeAniE, oR U m3At PeOpel y0U nO Liek, WaT iF yOu mAkE n0 FrEinD, wHa iF tHe wUrlD Jus 3xPl0dE!?!?! oR Ev3N-"
"STOP!"
"For the love of carrots, just stop! I don't need to stress out over my first day, and I definitely don't need you to either."
"Jeez, weren't you supposed to be exiled?"
"... Ok. Gumo said I need to stop worrying and be more optimistic, so..."
(Gumo is her older brother, surprising, I know.)
"I can't wait to find out what adventures I'll have today."
"No, that's sounds dumb. Umm... how about.. uh... wait."
"yA kN0w, i TinK dAt wE Sh0Ud WoRy cAusE T3h alArM weNt .. BEEP BEEEEP liEk A YeAr aGo."
". . .Wait, what?"
" i sAid, U iS LatTe."
". . . . . . . . . . .CRAP!"
Gumi jumped out of bed in a full panic, and immediately checked her clock.
"Yep! I'm gonna be more than half an hour late."
"And, on my first day too… Great."
"Too bad, Gumo couldn't come to wake me up. His new side job just had to have him work the night shift. Knowing myself though, I'd end up late either way," Gumi thought, and sighed.
Like always, Gumi had to rush to get ready for school. All she ended up eating was an apple. At least, she already knew what she was going to wear. Unlike her old school, this one had uniforms but they were quite pricey. So, instead she wore Gumo's old uniform since it was basically identical to her new school's uniform. Yeah, it was a boy's uniform, but Gumo was able to get it tailored to fit her for a good price. Gumi even found a nice orange tie to wear with it. Besides, a uniform doesn't need to be gender specific.
(Same uniform as "First Love Academy")
"Not too shabby, if I do say so myself."
Gumi's new school was a hoity-toity private school. It was one of the best art schools in the world. Luckily, she was able to get a scholarship like Gumo. It's not like she had bad grades, just poor attendance. But she still was able to get into her dream school, and it did not disappoint.
(I don't know if scholarships are actually obtainable in this situation, but whatever.)
The design was sleek and modern, with amazing murals adorning some of the walls. Gumi wanted to took a second to take it all in.
…But she was still late.
Then, Gumi opened her bag and pulled out a crumpled piece of paper. Rushing inside she looked back from the paper to the numbers on the lockers, trying to find her own. After frantically searching for a few minutes, she finally found her locker. As if she hadn't wasted enough time, she struggled to even put in the code with the dial.
(I can't find anything on dials for japanese lockers, but like the wooden boards and stuff like... I'd probably find a way to break or lose that. So for convenience, I'm just gonna make it a code.)
"You've got to be kidding me," she sighed in frustration.
-*click*-
"FINALLY!" she thought.
After calming down a bit, Gumi started to take her shoes off, and then proceeded stuff them into her locker.
"…shit…Shit. SHIT!" Gumi muttered to herself. She went to check the time, and realized she had left her phone on her bedside table. "How could I forget my phone, my fucking PHONE!?" She thought. " I should really get a watch."
Suddenly, the school bell chimed, teachers, and a few student left the homerooms. Gumi didn't have time to think, she had to start moving, before she got into trouble.
She slammed her locker shut, and started walking. Was she even going the right way? She checked her schedule in a panic, looking for the homeroom's number. But her world stopped when she promptly bumped into something. Or someone.
"Hey! Watch where you're going!" the stranger snapped.
Gumi looked up from her schedule, only to see a girl with long bright teal twin-tails. The girl had a cute appearance. But, the glare she was giving Gumi made it pretty clear. If Gumi made one wrong move, she'd be a new addition to the girl's list of enemies.
Gumi decided, it was best if she apologized to the annoyed stranger. She was the one at fault, anyway. "Sorry, I'm new here and-"
"I KNEW IT!" Just then, Gumi noticed the teal diva's lively friend.
"I knew I hadn't seen you around here before!" the girl exclaimed. "Nice to meet you, I'm Rin and my friend here is Miku."
"It's nice to meet you too, I'm Gumi."
"Oo, what a cool name! Well Gumi, what room do you have?"
"Umm... I have room-"
"You can come with us, we're in the same class." Startled, Gumi realized Miku had been looking at her schedule over her shoulder.
"You're going the wrong way, silly!" Rin joked.
Gumi followed her new classmates to her class, after a short trip to the girl's toilets. Gumi even got to sit next to them in class. Gumi was happy to meet some friendly faces. Miku was a bit snotty and Rin was quite peppy, but they together made a good team.
"So, what electives do you have, Gumi?" Rin asked, whilst they left their homeroom.
"I have art."
"JUST ART?!" Rin gasped
"Yeah, why? Is something wrong."
"Everyone here has at least two electives, three at most," Miku responded. " You should think about what other electives you want to take, or they'll just give you something random."
"Well, what electives do you guys have?"
"We both have the same electives, singing, dance, and theatre," Rin answered.
"We're also in the cheerleading club," Miku added.
The girls walked into the cafeteria. Gumi looked around, basking in its beauty. She wasn't used to such fancy places.
(This school has a cafeteria, cause they're bougie.)
"We were gonna sit outside today," Rin mentioned.
Gumi didn't pay much attention to what Rin was saying. She was too busy, wafting in all the aroma of all the delicious food the cafeteria had to offer. Rice, sushi, tempura, gyoza, ramen, soba, yakitori, you name it. All with a salad bar, and deserts display.
(EXTREMELY BOUGIE, it's mainly just Japanese dishes though. That level of international bougie is for part two)
After getting her lunch, Gumi went and sat with Rin, Miku, and their friends.
"Okay, everyone this is Gumi," Rin beamed. "Gumi, this is Luka, Gakupo, Meiko, and Kaito."
"It's nice to meet all of you," Gumi greeted.
"It's nice to meet you too," Meiko replied. "So, Gumi how are you liking the school?"
"Well, it's a lot nicer than my other school."
"Really? How so?"
" The last high school I stayed at wasn't as pretty or clean. Luckily, my request was accepted so I could transfer here."
"You had a difficult time transferring?" Gakupo intervened.
"Kinda. I'm here on a scholarship."
"Really?!" Rin gasped. "That's awesome!"
"If you don't mind me asking," Luka asked, "Are you here on a scholarship because you can't afford the tuition fee?"
"Well... actually yeah. My family doesn't have a lot of money, but we're able to find our way around."
"Well, that explains the uniform," Miku commented.
"Miku!" Rin huffed
"Well, money or not. You seem pretty cool," Kaito complimented.
"Oh…thanks," Gumi blushed.
"W-wha. Hey, I never said she wasn't" Miku stammered.
"I hope I didn't make you uncomfortable," Luka apologized. "It's just that some of the students here can get pretty pompous when it comes to wealth."
"Don't worry too much about it," Gakupo added.
Gumi was liking her new school. But, she really needed to figure out her electives situation. She had to sit through two different periods of the same class, with the same lesson.
Otherwise, Gumi spent the rest of the school day with Rin, and her friend group. She got to know everyone a bit better, but she spent the most time with Rin. The two would've traveled home together after cleaning time - they didn't live that far from each other - but Rin had cheerleading practice with Miku and Luka.
(I'm honestly not sure if Meiko should be on the cheer team.)
So, Gumi had to walk home alone instead. But first, she'd have to get through physical education.
Gumi didn't mind P.E. class. She was pretty good at physical activities, but they definitely weren't her favorite. Rin gave Gumi a brief tour of the school during free period, so Gumi already knew where to go. The school had a very lavish feel. But, the fact that the locker-rooms, shower-rooms, and even the toilets were kept so clean was surprising.
Fortunately, Gumi had no problems getting ready for P.E. class. She'd brought her old gym uniform, and it was much easier to open her locker now that she'd figured out how to work the dial. She was starting to feel a little more comfortable with her surroundings. Sadly, P.E. class was pretty boring. She didn't know anyone there. She greeted a couple of stragglers without friend groups, but they didn't seem interested.
Leaving the train station, Gumi remembered the book-store near her apartment had gotten new stock. Maybe she could find something she liked. So, she decided to drop by.
Upon entering, she immediately headed towards the opposite side of the store. The side with all the manga. All she could find were stories she'd already read. But, there was one place she hadn't checked. The mature section. Though most of the stories in the mature section weren't 13, Gumi was allowed to get away with buying an 18 story here and there. Her brother was friends with owner, and Gumi went to the store quite often. Gumi picked out a few that really stood out to her. Her final selection was three 13 stories and two 18. Altogether, it was kinda pricey, but she needed some new additions to her manga collection. It definitely got a bit awkward with the cashier when she was making her purchase, but now she finally had something new to read. She'd have to wait though. She'd gotten a bunch of homework that she needed to do.
After the trip from the bookstore, Gumi finally got to her apartment. Luckily, she remembered to take her keys.
"Gumo?! You here?" Gumi called out.
"I guess I should check my phone," She thought.
Gumi walked to her room, her phone was right where she'd left it. She had a message from Gumo. It read, "I had to go to work early tonight, there's some money on the counter for take out. I hope you had a good day at school."
Gumi sighed, and started to put her stuff away.
Hope ya liked the first chapter, be sure to look at the OC guidelines if you're interested.
Or don't, that's fine too.
(Should I kill the cArR0t? Or write translations?)
[Normally, in Japan, schools will start in early April, and end in late March. So, Gumi transferred around a month into the school year.]
