I'm pretty sure you've seen this scenario a million times already, but I'm sure you don't know this version of the scenario…
It was a warm, fall evening in a village hidden around a dense forest and said village with heavy damage to its buildings and walls. Cries of pain and anguish with parts of the surrounding forest being set ablaze by a large wildfire.
Now, you might be thinking what could have caused all this destruction and mayhem? A natural disaster perhaps? Well, you'd be partly correct as this was a disaster but not a natural one…no, this was the aftermath of an attack by something…unnatural…
An unholy attack brought upon the village by a demon, a powerful demon that can set forests ablaze with its fire breath, destroy landscapes with its monstrous screech, and shatter mountains with its nine, large tails. The locals of this land call this demon, Kyuubi No Kitsune, commonly known as, the Nine-Tailed Fox. Its sudden appearance had left the village in shambles as many weren't prepared for it and many perished from its sudden appearance and from trying to defeat it but the demon proved to be an unstoppable force of destruction. That was, until, one person rose and challenged the fox demon, and this person was known as the Yondaime Hokage, the strongest ninja and the leader of this village. These two would face each other in what could be described as a legendary battle.
This attack only started after someone had interrupted the birth of the Yondaime Hokage's son and kidnapped his exhausted wife after using his son as a decoy. After saving his son, the Yondaime Hokage went in search of his kidnapped wife, only to see a sight that would haunt him forever, the appearance of the Kyuubi No Kitsune. He located his wife and brought her to a safe house where their son was and placed her with their son, before gearing up to face the Kyuubi No Kitsune, much to the dismay of his wife who didn't want him to.
After saving the village from an attack that could have destroyed it and leaving the village's forces to deal with the beast, the Yondaime Hokage went and located the man responsible for this attack, and the two engaged in a brief battle with the Yondaime Hokage coming out as the victor. He then cut the connection the man had to the Kyuubi No Kitsune and was about to subdue the man only for the man to retreat into the darkness, never to be seen again. Seeing his opponent had fled, the Hokage turned his attention to his next foe, the Kyuubi No Kitsune.
He hurried back to the village where the village forces were holding it off but the beast was set to destroy the village, regardless of the connection it had to the mysterious man, it was about to set off another large-scale attack that would have destroyed the village and its people if not for the arrival of Hokage as he had summoned reinforcements to deal with the beast before teleporting them both to a safe location far from the village to set off the attack
After safely teleporting the beast and releasing the attack at the safe house he had his wife and new-born son (After he safely got them both out in time), Yondaime Hokage realized he was running out of energy and knew he had to end this quickly, so he devised a plan that would ensure the safety of the village…he was planning on sealing the Kyuubi No Kitsune into a vessel for safeguard…and the only one he knew could do such a task would be…his own son. But to seal such a powerful beast would take a lot to do, so, he had to use the one technique he knew would do the trick…but…at the cost of his life.
With the help of his wife, who trapped the Kyuubi No Kitsune in a bind with her energy, the Yondaime Hokage quickly chants the technique onto himself and seals half of the Kyuubi No Kitsune, knowing fully well it's considered impossible to hold such power, after sealing half of the Kyuubi No Kitsune into himself, the Hokage then started making a new seal onto his son to seal the rest of the fox.
But, as if it would what was going on, the Kyuubi No Kitsune decided to do one more desperate attack to ensure its freedom, it moved its clawed paw to its would-be host to kill the child, only for the new parents to dive in front of the claw and use their bodies to tank the desperate attack and save their child.
Seeing as their lives were close to ending, the parents said their final goodbyes and wishes to their son before completing the seal and sealing the remaining part of the Kyuubi No Kitsune into the infant, forever sealing the child's fate as its new host. With the Kyuubi No Kitsune disappearance, the two parents fall to the ground, where they would pass onto the afterlife, knowing that they saved their home, even at the cost of their lives…and at the cost of never seeing their child grow…
And here's where this story puts us, at the moment after the Kyuubi had been sealed away…

[Time: 21:03 p.m.]
[Date: 10 October 939 A.S.S.P. (After Sage of Six Paths)]
Inside a section of a currently burning forest, not too far away from the currently burning and damaged village, in a destroyed clearing, were three people. A man, a woman, and a newborn infant.
The woman was looking at the night sky as blood was trickling down from the corners of her mouth while also seeping from a large wound in her abdomen. She was a fair-skinned and slender woman of feminine build with violet eyes, with vibrant red hair. Her hair was straight and reached her ankles. She wore a high-collared, sleeveless blouse under a long, loose-fitting dress with a wristband on her left wrist and blue sandals that most of her feet except her toes. However, her outfit was covered in her blood due to the large puncture wound located in her abdomen.
The woman continued to look at the night sky, seeing the many stars out and she couldn't help but be at peace at the sight
'The sky such does look lovely this evening…despite the chaos moments ago…' The woman thought as she let out a chuckle before she started to cough out more blood from her mouth. She then turns to her side and sees the man lying on the ground. 'Minato…' She thought as tears well in her eyes, knowing well that her husband had long passed away even before he dropped to the ground. It was a mere miracle that she was still alive for this long, considering that the Kyuubi No Kitsune was ripped out of her body and her injury. But she knew she was about to die since she could feel her body going numb and her eyes were beginning to get heavy.
She gradually lifts her head and turns to the front of the clearing where, on a little earth platform that had nine lit candles, a sleeping newborn boy was wrapped in an orange blanket. The baby had sun-yellow blond, hair and had three whiskers on each of his cheeks. The woman looks at the sleeping baby and her expression changes
'Oh…Naruto…my baby…' The woman thought as the tears that were welling in her eyes started to fall down her cheeks, her emotions were running high. 'I wish…I could have…stayed and seen you grow…there was…a lot I wanted to do with you…I'm so sorry I have to leave you all alone like this…please…please forgive Mommy…' The red hair thought as she cried, saddened by the fact she was going to leave her baby alone in this world.
Just as she cries, she doesn't notice something in the sky, blue lighting suddenly strikes above the clearing but no thunder was made from it. Suddenly, something appears in the air, just above the earth platform the baby was on as the woman opens her eyes, sensing something strange, and sees something swelling above her baby.
'W-What on earth…' The woman thought, confusion was displayed on her face as she had no idea what was going on. But before she could think any further, a blue tear-like rift appeared and was starting to pull in the baby as the newborn started getting lifted off from the platform and started ascending to the rift. The woman sees what is happening as her eyes widen in shock and terror, she thinks that the man who kidnapped her and ripped out the Kyuubi from her body has returned and is now trying to kidnap her child! "N-No…" She utters in horror at seeing the rift pull her baby in closer. "No…Naruto…" She utters again, while she is trying to get up but her body refuses to do so as she watches her baby go into the rift and disappear in it. The woman stares at the rift for a bit before her fears come to light. "NARUTO!" The woman screams as tears run down her cheeks. She gradually rolls her body over and starts attempting to rise up but again fails. The woman falls face-first into the dirt and coughs up more blood before she lifts her head and sees the 'C'mon! Get up! Your baby…needs you!' The woman though as she grits her teeth and attempts to get up. Fighting through the pain and numbness, the woman suddenly finds new-found energy and strength as she was able to get to her knees. Panting, the woman again fights the pain and numbness, she wills herself to stand up on her feet. "C'mon!" The woman roars and finally, after what seemed to be a lifetime, she was on her feet. Her legs shaking from the pain and rush of energy, the woman looks back to the rift her baby went through and sees it is shrinking, indicating that it is closing. Knowing time was against her, the woman makes an impromptu decision, one that would not only seal her and her baby's fate…and this world's as well. "Naruto, Mommy's coming!" The woman yells as she starts to run toward the closing rift, she stumbles a few times but she quickly gets back to her feet and fights to still balanced as she reaches the rift and just as it's about to close, she leaps into the air and flies into it, moments before it closes and disappears from existence
Moments pass after the rift disappeared and several people appear in the clearing and see the destruction
"My Kami…this is a mess…" An elderly man in armor mutters, surveying the clearing.
"Sandame-sama, we have something here!" One person yells to the elderly man as he turns to the source of the yell and sees something he was dreading. The body of the Yondaime with a large wound in his chest as blood pools on the ground under him and has a strange swirl marking on his stomach
"Minato…" The elderly man utters as he looks at the corpse in sorrow, seeing his successor dead. "Oh…why is life so cruel…?" He says, he crouches down and looks at the body and sees the swirl marking, and realizes what he did. He sighs, as he knew that the Yondaime, now known as Minato, felt that he could save the village from the Kyuubi
While he was looking at his fallen successor, two people landed behind him and had their heads bowed
"Sandame-sama, we have a situation." One of the two speaks and the Sandame turns to them
"Yes, what is it?" Sandame asks
"We can't seem to find the Yondaime's wife." The first person says, alerting the Sandame who looks at them with confusion
"How?" The Sandame asks and this time, the second person chooses to speak
"We don't know Sandame-sama, we felt her chakra presence vanish into thin air moments ago before we arrived. We increased our radius to search for her but no luck. It's like she vanished." The second person says. This causes the Sandame to frown.
'This is not good. Did Kushina die during the sealing? If so, what happened to her body? Did the Kyuubi eat it to spite her? And what for her and Minato's child?' Those were the thoughts of the Sandame as he looked at the two people in front of him. "And their new-born?" He asks, hoping that the child survived but to his dismay, the two people shake their heads.
"Also missing. We can't sense the baby nor the Kyuubi No Kitsune. All three have vanished." The first person says as the Sandame sighs
"I see…" That was the only thing the Sandame said before he closed his eyes in thought. What happened here when he and the rest of the reinforcement were hurrying over here? The only logical thing he could think of was that the Kyuubi killed Kushina and the baby and in a fit of rage, Minato used the Reaper Death Seal onto the beast and sealing it inside of him, to take it with him to the afterlife. The Sandame couldn't help to chuckle a little as he looked at the night sky. "It would seem Minato managed to seal the beast inside him, taking it with him to the Afterlife, ever the hero, even in your final moments." He says, with a smile of sorrow. Knowing that his successor sacrificed his life to save the village, and probably the world from further destruction at the hands of the Kyuubi.
"What shall we do Sandame-sama?" The first person asks and the Sandame sighs, knowing that he is now back in charge.
"Gather the clan leaders to the Hokage tower for an emergency meeting, I have to tell them the grave news regarding the defeat/death of the Kyuubi No Kitsune…along with the death of the Yondaime and his family." Sandame says before he looks down at Minato's body one more time before he moves his hand toward the Yondaime's face and closes his eyes, letting his rest in peace. He orders the two people to lift the body and carry it as they start making their way to the village, to survey the damage to it…and to see the death toll before telling the unfortunate news…
Unbeknownst to anyone, from the Sandame, to the ninja, to those in the village, or to even those across the land. Their world's fate has been changed forever as Kushina and her baby were traveling through the rift, hurling through space and time

It was a rainy evening in an unknown city, the city did look modern as the streets were filled with cars driving through the many streets while people were busy moving through the city, either heading home or to work for the graveyard shift as that was life here.
In a part of the city, an elderly woman was inside her apartment, sitting by her window while sipping on her tea, taking in the rain as rain droplets hit her window and fell down.
This elderly woman was of Chinese origin, she had long jet-black hair as she had it in a bun with a pair of red hairpins keeping it together while she wore a Chinese forest green kimono, tied with a green obi that had a red obijime.
She was taking in the peace and quiet as she was the only one in the apartment due to her son and daughter-in-law being away for their honeymoon. She was about to take another sip of her tea when she stopped and froze upon sensing something approaching her apartment and something fast. She quickly got up from her chair and rushed outside in the rain to investigate, she sensed the presence from before again from the alleyway next to the apartment building and she went to see what was going on. She arrives at the alleyway and sees a blue portal just in the air. The elderly woman cautiously starts approaching the portal, not sure what could be on the other side, but as she gets closer to the portal, something falls out of the portal and crash lands into the dumpster before the portal closes shortly after. Rushing over to investigate when fell into the dumpster, the elderly woman hops onto some crates lying on the ground next to it and cautiously peeks inside the dumpster and to her shock and horror, she sees a young red-haired woman, with a massive puncture wound in her abdomen, clinging to a sleeping new-born boy. Both were covered in blood but the elderly woman could see that the blood on them was from the red-haired's wound.
The elderly woman sees the woman was still breathing, despite it being ragged and faint, as she opens one of her eyes and scans the area before she spots her
"H-H-Herupu. (1)" The red-hair mutters as the elderly woman blinks
"W-what?" The elderly woman asks, wondering what the red-haired said. It sounded like Japanese, but it had this weird wording to it.
"Dō ka tasuketekudasai (2)" The red-haired mutters once more before she closes her eyes and slumps over, her hands going limp as the baby slips and nearly falls to the wet ground, fortunately, the elderly woman was close and fast enough to catch the newborn. She looks at the baby and looks at the baby for any wounds and she lets out a sigh of relief upon seeing no injury or anything, apart from a strange swirl marking that was on the baby's belly. She also sees the baby was a boy.
"Oh, thank goodness, you're alright." The elderly woman says as she holds the baby close before she turns back to the unconscious red-haired. "Young lady, stay with me here. Please stay awake." The elderly woman says, placing her hand on the red hair and gently shakes her body but there's no response from the red hair and this causes the elderly woman to get concerned. 'Damnit! She must have lost a lot of blood while she was in that portal and finally passed out after probably fighting to stay awake for the sake of her baby's safety. I have to do something but what? I can't take her out of the dumpster with her wound still open, that'll just cause her to lose whatever she has lost, and it'll cause her to be in more pain than she already is. And I can't call for an ambulance, it'll be too late by the time they arrive. What can I do…?' The elderly woman thought. She holds the baby and thinks about what her next action should be when she stops as she feels something move under her kimono. "Huh?" She utters before she looks down and sees something emitting a pink glow from under the kimono. She reaches inside of the kimono and pulls out what was the cause of the pink glow. It was a glowing pink crystal pendant with a silver frame around the pink crystal with a brown rope attached to the silver frame, making it into a necklace.
The elderly woman holds the pendant close to her as she stares at it.
"Strange…it's never reacted in years…in fact…it hasn't reacted like this before…" The elderly woman says, looking at the glowing pendant. She suddenly gains an idea and looks at the red-haired. "Maybe…" She utters, she then looks around the alley to make sure the coast was clear, and to her relief, no one was nearby. So she holds out the pendant in her hand and moves it close to the unconscious red hair. "Hear me, Heart of Kandrakar, use your mystical powers and heal this woman of all injuries!" The elderly woman yells to the pendant and nothing happens at first until the pendant starts emitting a bright pink light and it floats off the elderly woman's hand into the air as it spins before releasing energy from it which hits the red hair and the large puncture wound she had starts to miraculously close while her skin starts to gain a healthy shard of pink. This goes on for a bit before the pendant stops firing energy at the red hair and she was completely healed and looking healthier than before but was still unconscious. The pendant floats back to the elderly woman's hand and it falls into it with the Chinese woman catching it.
"Good, it seems that worked." The elderly woman says, looking at the pendant for a bit before she shifts her glance toward the unconscious woman. "Now…what to do with you two?"
Beams of sunlight shine through a closed window as someone who was on a bed groans while their eyes twitch a bit before they start to open, but due to the sunlight hitting their face.
"Minato-san, denki o keshite moraemasu ka? Hikari ni wa hayasugiru. (3)" The person mutters in their sleep while they were trying to keep the light from hitting them while hitting their hand onto the other side of the bed, hoping they'd wake up the person they thought was in bed with them, but after only hitting just the mattress, this person opens their eyes and some "Minato-kun?" This person calls out for someone but as they sit up from the bed, they feel a sharp rush of pain in their abdomen which causes them to cry out from the pain and fall back onto the bed while clinging to their sore area. "Ā, sore wa itaidesu. (4)" The person cries out, hissing a bit from the pain. The pain eventually calms down and once again the person sits up, this time, carefully as they look around and see they were in an unfamiliar room. "Watashi wa dokodesu ka? (5)" The person asks and we see it was Kushina, she looks down at herself and sees she was not in her previous outfit but was now in a light-blue t-shirt. Wondering what happened to her, she misses the door open as someone enters the room
"Ah, I see you've finally woken up." Kushina hears someone speak and she turns to where the voice was coming from to see an elderly woman enter the room, holding a tray of food and a cup in her hand.
"O bāchan, anatahadaredesu ka, soshite watashi no akachan wa dokodesu ka! Watashi no musuko wa dokodesu ka? (6)" Kushina says in her native tongue which again made the woman frown, it sounded like Japanese but some of the wording sounded off, but luckily, she knew Japanese thanks to her travels
"Jikan ga kitara subete hanasu yo, kega shinaide ne, kimi wa mada hidoi jōtaida yo. (7)" The elderly woman says in flute Japanese
(a/n: For the sake of you readers…and for my own sanity, the rest of the conversation Kushina and Yan-Lin have from this point will be in English but to them, they'll be speaking in Japanese. If you want to see what they said before this, you can pause and go down to the end note to see the translation for yourselves. Now, on to the story.)
"You speak Elementalism?" Kushina asks, as the elderly woman raises an eyebrow, now realizing that the language the red-haired was speaking had to be what she just said, which also confirms what she was thinking prior. She wasn't where she was thinking.
"I don't know what is but it sounds like Earth's Japanese, so it's easy for me to sort of understand you." The elderly woman says. Kushina nods since she could hear the different wording as well.
"I see…" Kushina says as she looks around the room again and sees it might be a guest room. "Where am I exactly?" The red-haired asks
"I was going to ask you that very question. What happened to you?" The elderly woman asks, gesturing to the bandages on Kushina's body. This makes Kushina stop and think back about what happened to her
"I…was giving birth to…my son…my son!" Kushina yells, her eyes widening at the realization she had no idea where Naruto was. She turns to the elderly woman in a panic regarding the whereabouts of her child. "Where is he? Where's my Naruto!?" The red-haired all but shouts at the elderly woman who isn't surprised by this but smiles
"I suggest you turn to your left and you'll receive your answer." The elderly woman says while pointing towards the other side of the bed. Kushina was confused and turned to where the elderly woman was pointing at and her eyes widened at seeing her baby in a crib, blissfully sleeping as he was wearing a onesie
"My baby!" Kushina yells before she gently scoops Naruto up from the bed and clings onto him, holding him tightly as she starts to sob a bit. "It's okay…Mama's here." She sobs out, while the elderly woman watches this scene and she can't help but smile as it reminds her of her and her son during his baby years.
"He's quite a surprise. A calm baby who cries when he's hungry or needs his diaper changed, he's nothing like how my son was as a baby. I left him near in the event you'd wake up while I wasn't around." The elderly woman says, looking at the still-sleeping baby. "Naruto, what a unique name. fitting for a unique child." She says, couldn't help but be intrigued by the name. Kushina just nods
"It means Maelstrom, it's the name of a character a book my husband's master wrote during his younger days." Kushina says and the elderly woman nods
"Interesting." The elderly woman says
"Yeah…" Kushina says before her face falls into one of deep sorrow as she remembers her husband and his death. "Minato…oh Minato…" She says as she starts to cry over the loss of her husband since she knew she was never going to see him again in the afterlife after what he did.
"I take it that's your husband's name." The elderly woman asks and after a bit of crying, Kushina nods to her question
"Yes…yes it is…" Kushina says, she cries for a bit more as the elderly woman patiently waits for her to calm down. After about 10 minutes of crying, Kushina was finally able to calm down and the elderly woman handed her a handkerchief "Thank you…" She says while she wipes her tears with the handkerchief as she sighs and lays back down on the bed while holding Naruto close. She looks around the room once again before she looks past the elderly woman to the window and saw the buildings outside, she could tell that where she was weren't any of the hidden villages she knew since none of them had buildings that high or the noise from the outside. She turns to the elderly woman. "Can you please where I am…and how am I still alive?" She asks with a serious look. The elderly woman once again, had expected this question and she didn't hesitate to answer
"You're in Heatherfield, on Earth. You appeared out of a portal and landed in a dumpster outside my house a few nights ago and was in a critical state when I found you two. In your dying moments, you asked me to take care of your son but I felt that I needed to save you, so I used this." The elderly woman says as she pulls out the glowing pink pendent from under her kimono and shows it to Kushina who stares at the pendent in awe and surprise. "To heal your injuries and save your life. But, you already lost a lot of blood at that point and you blacked out and have been unconscious for the past 2 days. I've been taking care of you and your son ever since." She explains and Kushina processes this as she remembers that she did jump through that portal that took Naruto
"I…I see…" Kushina says with a sigh. The two fell silent for a bit as Kushina looked back out of the window and looked at the buildings outside and she knew she had to ask the one question she'd been dreading. "And I'm assuming that this place isn't in the Elemental Nation, isn't it?" She asks and the elderly woman just
"No, it isn't. This is a country known as the United States of America. The year is 1989." The elderly woman says, which causes Kushina's eyes to widen in shock, she had a feeling that she wasn't in the Elemental Nations anymore but was hoping she was, but not only that she wasn't but now she was apparently in the future as well?!
"I see…" Kushina says before leaning back onto the bed
"Can you please tell me where you're from and what exactly happened to you?" The elderly woman asks, now wanting to know just what happened to Kushina to get here
"…" Kushina doesn't say anything at first, as she was thinking whether or not to tell this elderly woman everything about her life, her home, and what happened but she felt that she could trust her, given that she had saved her life, a stranger saved her life and had been taking care of her and her baby for the time she was unconscious. So, after a bit of thinking, Kushina turns to the elderly woman and nods at her. "Okay…I'll tell you what happened?" She says as she begins to tell the elderly woman everything. It took a while but Kushina told her everything from her world's early history, to the wars it had, to the villages and their brief history, to her homeland and her clan, to her early days as a teenager, to meeting Minato and how she fell in love with him, to their marriage and finally to the night Naruto was born and what exactly happened that night. "And that's everything that happened before you found me." She says, finishing her tale as the elderly woman, who had been listening and processing the information nods
"I see…that is a troubling tale…and worrying too…" The elderly woman whispers as she frowns while leaning back into her chair in thought. From the sound of things, Kushina's world was much worse than what she was thinking. Kushina hears this and looks at the elderly woman with a confused expression
"What? Why? What's wrong?" Kushina asks and the elderly woman lets out a deep sigh as she looks at the red-haired woman
"I'm afraid…since you aren't from the world than the one I had originally thought you were, I cannot return you back to your original world. I have no idea where you came from and without a clear idea of it, I can't send you back. Meaning you're stuck here." The elderly woman says, and this causes Kushina's eyes to widen in regards to hearing this. She was trapped in an unknown world, away from her friends and the
"No…" Kushina utters with tears begins to form in her eyes. The elderly woman just gives the red-hair a look of pity, feeling sorry for her
"I'm so sorry that this happened to you, my dear. I can tell you're a good person and you didn't deserve this." The elderly woman says. Kushina let out some sobs, now fully realizing how much trouble she was in
"What am I going to do…what am I going to do…?" Kushina asks herself what to do. She had nothing to back her up, she couldn't use her ninja skills since she had no idea just how this world works and she was all alone. She continues to sob out loud while clinging tightly to Naruto who, somehow, senses his mother's distress and leans closer to her. The elderly woman watched this and couldn't help but feel sorry for the young woman in front of her, she was stuck in another world with no help whatsoever and she was all alone with her child. She looks at them and then remembers something her son said before he left, regarding something he was planning.
"Hmm…" The elderly woman hums in thought as she thinks for a bit before she comes to a conclusion, one that could possibly help all of them out. "If you would like, I believe I can provide help for you two?" She says, this gains Kushina's attention who stops sobs as she looks at the elderly woman
"R-R-Really?" Kushina stammers, surprised by this as she stares at the "You would help a complete stranger like me?" She asks and the elderly woman nods
"Yes, I would. I feel like I should help you. Like I said, I can tell you are a good person and don't deserve what has happened to you. As a mother myself, I cannot bring to throw you out in this hour of need." The elderly woman says with a gentle smile. This sends Kushina to the edge and she pulls the elderly woman in a tight hug, while carefully holding Naruto in one arm
"T-Thank you! Thank you so much!" Kushina cried out, now feeling happy as someone was here to help her, and that someone was the same person who saved her life and had been helping her and her son all this time. The elderly woman just smiles and hugs back
"It's the least I can do for you and your child." The elderly woman says Kushina continues to cry for a bit longer. They stay like this for a bit until Kushina releases the elderly woman from the hug and the red-haired woman looks at her while wiping her tears
"Uh…I forgot to ask this sooner but…what's your name?" Kushina asks, as she realizes she never got the elderly woman's name, and said woman realizes this too
"Ah, right. We never introduced ourselves have we?" The elderly woman says as she sits up straight and looks at Kushina. "My name is Yan Lin. And what is your name?" She says as Kushina smiles
"I'm Kushina…Kushina Uzumaki." Kushina says before she holds up the now wake Naruto who was smiling. "And this is Naruto, but you already know that. It's nice to meet you." She says with a sheepish laugh
"Nice to meet you too." The elderly woman, now known as Yan Lin says
(a/n: Okay, from this point forward, the characters will be talking in English but in some cases or scenes, they'll talk in other languages as well. Hope you understand)
[14 years later]
[Location: A bedroom inside of an apartment, Heatherfield, Connecticut, U.S.A.]
[Date: Wednesday, 29 October 2004]
[Time: 07:24 a.m.]
Sunlight shines through a bedroom window and we see the bedroom was that of any typical one from a teenage boy. Posters of bands, movies, and games were pasted on the walls but on top of the ceil, there were various posters of people on a skateboard and a BMX bike performing tricks in the air, those posters had people such as Tom Penny, Rob Drydek, Matt Hoffman, and of course, the legendary Tony Hawk. There was a computer on a desk where various things were on the desk including a stack of comics on it, on another wall in the room, there was a rack of skateboard decks stacked on a rack attached to the wall. Clothes, books, sneakers and other things were littered on the floor as we see someone in bed, sleeping as a clock was next to him but there was something stabbed into the alarm clock, it was a black kunai knife stabbed into the now destroyed alarm clock.
The person in bed was still sleeping soundly before it was interrupted by loud pounding coming from their door
"Naruto! Are you up yet, it's getting late! You have school!" A loud voice comes from outside the door as the person in the bed just groans in annoyance while putting their pillow over their head
"In a minute…" The person in the bed mutters as they try to go back to sleep. Unfortunately for them, the loud pounding from before had returned, this time in full force
"I said, are you awake?!" The loud voice behind the door shouts, causing the person in bed to groan again
"I said in a minute!" The person in the bed shouts back and this time, the pounding has stopped and the person lets out a sigh of relief. "Finally…" The person says and they fall back into their bed, ready to catch a little sleep
-BOOM!-
"AH!" However, that plan failed tremendously as the bedroom door suddenly imploded, startling the room's occupant enough for them to jump out of their bed in fright and fall butt-first onto the wood floor. The scared occupant of the room was a 14-year-old boy with short sun-yellow blond, wild spiky hair. His skin was sun-kissed tanned while his eyes were sky-blue, he had an interesting feature on his face. He had three whiskers on each of his cheeks. The startled boy looks at his door in a panic as he sees smoke lingering where it was, covering the area, that was until he sees a silhouette standing in the middle of the smoke with two glowing white orbs staring right at him. "W-W-What the hell?!" He yells, suddenly red colored slipper-cladded feet step out of the smoke and the boy is frightened by what he was looking at. His mother, Kushina who now had her hair cut short to where it was now was to up to her shoulders. She had on an orange t-shirt with a white apron, a pair of black gym shorts, and red slippers. She was glaring at the boy with an irate expression while she was also letting out a smile
"It's about a thousand years too early for you to start disobeying me, ya know…" Kushina says with an eerie aura around her. This aura was causing her short hair to flow up in the air with her hair split into nine parts, all moving on their own. This sight terrifies the boy, to the point where he crawls back up to his bed in fear. "Now…you're going go downstairs and have your breakfast and then get ready for school right…RIGHT?!" The red-hair yells and the boy nods in fear
"Y-YES!" The boy, now known to be as Naruto, yells
"GOOD!" Kushina yells as she grabs the doorknob and slams the door in her exit, leaving Naruto in his room in silence at what just happened and after a while, he regains his senses as he sighs
"Man…she sure can be terrifying when she wants to…" Naruto mutters loudly as he gets up from the floor
"I HEARD THAT!" Kushina yells, causing Naruto to once again jump in fright
10 minutes later and we see Kushina busy making breakfast in the apartment kitchen while she was listening to some music from the radio. She was busy frying up some eggs as she hears thunder from the window, looking up and out the window, Kushina sees dark clouds gathering and approaching from the horizon and this made her frown
"It's been raining a lot lately. I do hope it'll end soon." Kushina says before she resumes back to frying the eggs. She hears a door open behind her and she turns to see Naruto entering the kitchen with a slightly exhausted look on his face. He was wearing a black t-shirt with the number 9 printed on the center of the shirt with an unzipped oversized orange and white jacket over the t-shirt. He had on a pair of denim jeans and wore a pair of black Converse All-Star High-Top sneakers. (a/n: For the jacket, it's the same one Minato wore in his one-shot manga. You can go look it up if you want the reference.)
He was carrying a black and orange backpack in one of his hands while he had a pair of knee pads and a pair of elbow pads in the other. He also had a skateboard resting under the arm that was carrying the pads.
"Morning Mom." Naruto greets his mom while letting out a yawn
"Morning my little Maelstrom, how are you feeling this morning?" Kushina says, she had noticed the yawn as Naruto just puts his stuff onto the floor next to the table where he takes his seat at and Kushina goes over to him with the pan of fried eggs and places them onto a plate with toasted beard
"Fine…just a bit tired is all." Naruto says as he starts eating his breakfast. Kushina places her breakfast onto her plate and puts her eggs onto it as she sits down and stares at her son
"You stayed up watching cartoons again didn't you?" Kushina asks, and this causes Naruto to swallow loudly as he looks away from her
"…No…" Naruto says but Kushina isn't convinced as she stares at him with a stern look
"Naruto…" Kushina says with a balanced stern tone and Naruto knew he'd been had, so he spills it
"Okay, I did but I don't regret it one bit." Naruto says, his facial expression and tone showed he truly didn't regret his decision. Kushina on the other hand, just narrows her eyes
"Naruto, what have I said about staying up late to watch something?" Kushina asks and Naruto looks down at the table
"Not to do it…" Naruto says
"And?" Kushina asks as if there was more he has to say
"Fine…I won't do it again." Naruto says
'Somehow, I don't believe him.' Kushina thought, knowing her son all too well and his thoughts. "Good." She says and the two resume eating in peace. Kushina looks at the clock and outside and notices the clouds were gathering. "So, do you need me to drive you to school today?" She asks and Naruto just shakes his head
"No thank you. I'll skate over that." Naruto says and this causes Kushina to raise an eyebrow
"Really?" Kushina asks, she looks at the clock once more and sees it was 07:44. "With less than half an hour to go. Do you honestly think you'll make it?" She asks but Naruto nods his head
"I can make it, I've done it before and I can do it again." Naruto says. He was about to take a bit from his toast when he hears something ringing. "Hmm?" He hums as he looks down and sees something blinking in his backpack. He puts his fork down before he reaches into his backpack and pulls out what was ringing and holds a flip phone in his hand. He looks at the tiny screen on the phone to see who was calling and it was someone he was very familiar with. "Oh, Hay-Hay." He comments, he opens the flip phone, and answers the call. "Hey Hay-Hay, what's up?" He asks as he picks up his fork to resume eating, but…
WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU, MISTER!? A high-patched feminine voice shouts through the phone, causing Naruto to move the phone away from his ear
"OW, don't yell!" Naruto shouts, he drops his fork down to his plate and rubs his ringing ear for a bit before putting the phone back to it and listens to hear the person on the other side of the call wasn't yelling again, much to his relief. "And to answer your question. I'm here at home, eating my breakfast. Why, what's up?" He asks, wondering why was she calling him now
Did you seriously forget what you promised me!? You said you'd come early to talk to me about your Halloween outfit! And you're late
The moment the person on the call said this, Naruto stopped mid-chew and drops his fork in shock. He had remembered he promised her he'd show up early so he could talk to her about his outfit for Halloween, and he forgot about it. He looks over at the clock and saw it was now 07:46. He had little time to waste!
"Oh…crap…" Naruto curses under his breath as he looks at his phone with a sheepish expression. "Uh, wait over at the gate for me. I'm on my way right now!" He yells and before the person on the other line can say anything, Naruto drops the call and starts preparing to leave. Ksuhina calmly eats her breakfast as she just watches her son prepare to leave
"Did you finish your homework?" Kushina asks
"Yep!" Naruto answers as he puts on his knee pads
"And do you have your lunch money?" Kushina asks and Naruto was busy putting on his elbow pads
"Yep!" Naruto says as he picks up his plate and places it into the sink, but not before he takes the last toast and egg from it and puts them together
"Okay then, have a great day at school my precious Maelstrom." Kushina says, she stands up and walks over to the sink to wash the plates. Naruto, with his stuff and skateboard, runs over to the window that led to the fire escape and opens it before he grabs a black helmet that has various worn-out stickers on it
"Sure thing, I'll see you later!" Naruto says before he puts the toast egg sandwich in his mouth and steps out of the window
"Oh for God's sake, use the door like a normal person!" Kushina yells, again her hair raised, responding to her anger as Naruto just grins with the toast in his mouth
"NOPE!" Naruto says with a chuckle as he starts going down the fire escape. "Bye Mom!" He yells at his fuming Mom, who was once again annoyed by his actions but she sighs as she smiles
"That boy…he's so like me when I was his age. I still don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing." Ksuhina says, unsure what to think as she just leaves it at that and goes to clean the dishes before she gets ready for work.
We see Naruto in the alleyway, fitting his helmet to his head and making sure his protective gear was secure. Once that was done, he straps his backpack onto his back and pulls out something from his pocket. Something he received for his birthday recently from his best friend. An orange iPod. He puts on the earphones and turns the device on before he starts scrolling through his uploaded music for one to listen to on the way to school, it takes a little while before he finally lands on one he'd like and presses play
[Insert Music: The Anthem by Good Charlotte]
Nodding his head to the song's beat, Naruto smirks as he drops his board to the ground and steps a few feet back from it before he suddenly runs toward it and jumps onto it, with the momentum of his run pushing the board and he takes off out of the alleyway and into the streets of the city, heading towards his school.
He speeds past cars and people on the sidewalks as he hooks onto a sign and makes a sharp turn and heads into a park. There, he starts to make turns down the pathways of the park, performing various oilles, and kickflips, and even when he had to leap off a flight of stairs in the air, he does a 180 flip mid-air before perfectly landing on the ground as he exits the park. Naruto continues skating through the city of Heatherfield as he turns another sharp turn into a section of the city going downhill. He skates for a bit before he finds himself coming up to a flight of stairs that has railings. Not slowing down however and smirking, Naruto speeds up towards the flight of stairs, and just when he reaches the stairs, he leaps in the air with his board on his feet and grinds the railings down
"Wow, yeah!" Naruto cheers before he leaps off from one railing and onto another, maintaining his speed as he grins but his grin turns into a frown upon noticing how wet the railings were, forcing it hard for him to keep his balance. "Man, the rain recently really has been messing up the railings. Hope whatever's going on with the weather ends pretty soon, I don't know how much longer I can stay indoors like this for." He says, he sees he was about to reach the end of the long rails and lands his wheels back onto the pavement, and resumes skating.
He skates for a bit more until he sees a building just in front of him and he grins. He knew this building all too well. It was an old building, looking like it had been built many years ago as it looked like a castle with a large entrance that had some graffiti tagged to one of the pillars of the entrance. There was a sign on the entrance with the school's name on the entrance which read: Sheffield Institute.
"Ha, I made it! That's what I'm talking abou-" Naruto was saying, about to celebrate on making it to school in the nick of time when he unexpectedly crashes into something, causing him to get knocked him off his skateboard which gets sent flying in the air before hitting the ground next to him while his earphones also get knocked off from his ears. Naruto lands back first to the pavement

Naruto was lying on the ground, in a bit of pain from the crash and collision to the ground as he sat up and rubbed the back of his head with his eyes closed.
"Ah, that's smarts…" Naruto says, he rubs the pain away before he hears someone groan in pain and realizes he didn't crash into an object like he thought, but instead crashing into someone. He gets mad at this and opens his eyes to look at who caused him to crash. "Okay wise guy, just what was the big idea for-" Whatever Naruto was about to see stopped dead in his throat as he stared at the person he crashed into with widened eyes.
Originally, he thought the person he crashed into was a guy and he was about to insult them but the person he crashed into wasn't a guy, it was a teenage girl. A teenage girl who looked like to be his age with a very slender build. She has bright red, short hair which was in a bob cut style and she appears to be Caucasian. She was wearing baggy clothes which consisted of a blue hoodie, an orange turtle neck, a pair of denims and a pair of black sneakers.
"Ah…that hurt…" The girl mutters, rubbing her head from the pain she was experiencing as she opens her eyes, revealing she has big brown eyes and she sees Naruto was staring at her with his own blue eyes. "…" She doesn't say anything as the two just stare at one another for a bit until one of them decides to speak
"Uh…hi…" Naruto greets the girl, not taking his eyes off her as she wasn't taking her eyes off him
"Hi…" The girl greets back and the two fall silent once more as they stare at one another

Hello everyone, it's your boy, Pixel and welcome to one of the craziest and most interesting ideas I've ever decided to make! Welcome to: Witches and Their Fox.
Now, you might be wondering: "Pixel, why did you go and make another new story?", well I have an interesting answer for that. Late last year, I had a bit of a moment where I remembered my childhood and decided to go down memory lane and revisit the cartoons I watched as a kid. And while I was going on this nostalgic trip, I stumbled upon W.I.T.C.H., I had completely forgotten about this series and I decided to watch it and I loved it, so much so that I had a crazy idea. A new crossover idea. So, I looked into the fanfic tab between Naruto and W.I.T.C.H. to see if there were any old stories and to see what I was up against in terms of storytelling and I must say, I was disappointed. Only one story caught my attention and that was: Meridian Jinchuriki by pyrohelixdragon but that story hasn't been updated since September 2022. Sure there are stories like The Maelstrom Supreme by Kfbanime87, and The Guardian's Kitsune by Kyuubi16 but I felt I needed to do something much different than them, I needed a challenge, which is why I came up with this story's plotline.
Speaking of which, you'll notice Naruto is different than the one you're familiar with but that's what you get when one: you take him out of the Shinobi world and insert him into another different one, two, he isn't thrown into the life he endured in the canon and finally three, his Mom is alive and took care of him, showed him love and he has friends that care about him. This isn't an OC insert with the OC's name Naruto Uzumaki, this is Naruto but again different. If you don't like that, you can kindly not read and continue on with your life.
So, there's this rule I have in regard to new stories, which is like this, I set a certain amount of follows/favorites to the story for it to continue but lately, people hate that rule which made me rethink it and I see that it's unfair to pressure y'all to follow to keep the story going. So, I scraped it. If it gets follows, sweet, if not, I'll still continue making new chapters as much as I want to.
