Welcome to the second book. Hope you enjoy this story for those who read the last story.
It has been a month since Queen Eshe and Mheetu got married and Mheetu was crowned officially Prince-Consort of the Pridelands. It was in the afternoon when Kula walked through the Pride Lands, but this time her sons were accompanying her.
"So we have to treat our prey as equals?"
Kula was walking in between her sons, Luis on the left and Ahadi on the right.
The creamy lioness smiled warmly at her creamy gold cub. "Yes, Ahadi. We don't want our prey to live in fear. If they do then we pretty much have a repeat of Mufasa's reign."
The cubs nodded in understanding. During their walk, the cousins of the queen learned when hunting to go for the sick and the old. Leave the young, the healthy and the pregnant to live. So the herd can grow strong.
"Mom?"
Kula moved her attention to her oldest son. Starring into brown eyes that mirrored her own as well as her other son's. "Yes, my love."
Luis was about to ask his mother a question. A question that has been bugging him for some time now when a male voice rang through his black rimmed ears as well as his mother and brother's ears.
"Kula!"
The creamy lioness and her sons looked to see the tawny Prince-Consort walking towards them. The young males bowed as Kula dipped her head.
Mheetu smiled gratefully at the cubs. "Luis and Ahadi, you do not have to bow. We're family."
The twins lifted their heads and smiled at the tawny lion. Mheetu gave them each nuzzles before turning his attention to his mate's cousin-in-law. "Kula, have you seen Eshe?"
Kula shook her head as her creamy gold cub spoke up. "Queen Eshe went to see Mr. Rafiki."
Mheetu sighed as he pinned his black rimmed ears. "I hope she's alright. She's been sick for a few days now."
Kula nuzzled the slightly older lion. "I'm sure Eshe's fine, Mheetu."
Mheetu smiled hopefully at the creamy lioness. "Well-"
"Mheetu!"
Mheetu's ear flickered before he looked to see his mate and queen trotting over. The mates nuzzled in greeting before the light brown lioness smiled at her cousin-in-law and little cousins. "I'm glad you are all here."
Mheetu and Kula shared a confused look before looking back at Eshe. The lioness queen had a glow to her that strangely Kula seen before.
Kula thought back to when she seen someone glow like that. The result came to Auri and as well as Rhea. All when they were...expecting.
With a bright smile the creamy lioness gave Eshe a knowing look before ushering Luis and Ahadi home to give the queen and Prince-Consort some time alone.

Tojo sighed in content as the area he was patrolling was in order. At the same time the light cream lion was at war with himself. It's been almost a whole year and he haven't told Auri about Afua and Kiros.
"Hello, father..."
Tojo looked up at the young white, white mane lion with wide pale blue eyes. "Kiros, how long have you known?"
Kiros shrugged before looking at his father. "Before my half-sisters were born." the white lion narrowed his pale blue eyes. "How come you haven't told anyone about me or your relationship with my mother?"
Tojo shook his head. "Son, please try to understand. This is a delicate situation. Auri was expecting and-"
"She's not anymore or do I have more half-siblings on the way?" Kiros sarcastically scoffed.
Tojo realized that he wasn't being fair to his eldest or his current mate. "I apologize. If I made you feel like some kind of way, it never was my intention."
Kiros stared at the older lion before walking away, swishing his tail. "We'll see, dad."
Tojo sighed in relief before turning and quickly rushed off to his and his family's private cave.
