Hello everyone, and welcome to my next long fanfiction which will be about Rogue and Mermaid Heel. This story will be completely different from the canon. He meets four members from the women's Guild Mermaid Heel, which are Lucy Erza Kagura and Mira. They immediately fall in love with him, and they can convince him to go with them as a guest to their guild Mermaid Heel. Which is normally not visited by men at all but with Rogue it will be different this time. He doesn't know what he let himself get into, when he sees that some other women from that guild fall in love with him too. And after that visit they will have new adventures together from time to time, and after a while he slowly accepts them as new friends and then likes to be around them.
Yes, almost all of the female characters will be a part of Mermaid Heel except for a few ones of course. I originally wanted to do a Mermaid Heel fanfiction without a harem, but then i thought why not? I also thought Rogue would be the best character for a harem fanfiction like this. I always liked Rogue in the canon, and i think this is a great opportunity for me to try to write this story with him as the main character.
I'll see when i continue with Natsu's new journey, which i hope will be soon but let's see and wait. Anyway, now here is the first chapter of A Shadow Dragon Slayer and his Mermaids. :)
Chapter 1
Rogue returned from a successful solo mission, and he was currently walking through the streets of Crocus. He was glad to go back to his guild Sabertooth right now which was located in Gazania. But he wasn't really looking forward to using the train, even though it gets him there much quicker than using his shadow dragon slayer magic which would take hours for him to arrive at this town. He was now thinking about this and has a pale face now, when he thought that he had to use that train soon. The reason why he wasn't looking forward to it, was that every time he used a transportation like this he would immediately get sick due to his motion sickness.
"I still wonder what idiot created this damn thing that people call transportation." He thought annoyed, but then he calmed down and sighed before he had a small smile on his face. "At least in the train I won't get bothered by other people." He thought and felt relieved and continued his way to the train station. He really didn't like people, at all and was more of a lone wolf who preferred to work alone than to trust others and work in a team together. He just wasn't that kind of person who get along with others, except for Sting the current guild master of Sabertooth and his best friend since their childhood. And Sting's girlfriend Sarah who he also knows since their childhood and liked her and they were best friends as well. These two were the only people so far that he liked and trusted. Sting and Sarah on the other hand, get along with other people more easily and sometimes wished Rogue could lighten up and also could trust people more easily. But they both still liked him for who he was and accepted his calm and distanced personality.
He often got attention from beautiful looking women, who thought he was cute and handsome but of course he always ignored them. Because he didn't want a girlfriend and didn't really care about romance. Some women even tried to talk with him and asked him for a date, but so far no woman had success with their flirt attempts towards the mysterious and distanced dragon slayer. Even though he was annoyed by them internally he still remained calm and politely rejected their offers. Which made them sad but he didn't really care, and only responded every time with the same sentence which was i'm sorry. And then every time after that sentence he continued his way as a lone wolf.
Of course, he still tried to save women when they get treated badly by other men who are not like him. And always tries to harm women by punching them or doing other horrible things to them. Which he really hates and always beats up men like those, if he sees disgusting incidents like these happen to a woman. But of course, those heroic deeds then brought him into the awkward and uncomfortable situation again that these women also asked him for a date. And then he sadly had to tell them that he has no interest. That was something that actually made him sad for a moment, to see their disappointed faces and then also said the sentence i'm sorry to them. Which he really means seriously in moments like these and don't just try to be polite. In these few moments, he only gently put a hand on their shoulders and told them that one day they will find a great respectful man who will treat them well. Before he then silently walked away from the few women he saved and continued his journey alone.
He was still Walking, but suddenly stopped when he saw four women who were walking towards in his direction but then stopped when they saw him. Their hearts were beating fast and they had a blush on their faces while they kept looking at him. He was annoyed but he wasn't even surprised, because he expected that this would eventually happen again that some other women would fall in love with him. But then he had a surprised look on his face when he noticed who they were. Those four women who stood in front of him are Lucy Heartfilia, Erza Scarlet, Kagura Mikazuchi, and Mirajane Strauss, from the popular women's guild Mermaid Heel.
He then had another annoyed expression and sighed. "Great, now even strong female wizards are falling in love with me." He thought and kept looking at the four women. They also still looked at him with a blush on their faces. "He's so handsome." Lucy thought and was in awe. "I want him." Erza thought and felt how her heart was beating faster. "He has… such a mysterious and calm aura and i love it." Kagura thought and adored him, because she was also more of a mysterious and calm person herself and was happy that he was like her. "Oh my what a cute looking guy." Mira thought and blushed now even redder. But suddenly all four made a very loud noise of surprise, which startled him and wondered why they reacted like this now and looked at them with a confused expression.
"W-What?...What's wrong?" He asked while still being confused, but he waited patiently for a response from the four women who stood in front of him. They all then calmed down and looked at him with a warm smile. "We're so sorry, we didn't want to startle you but we just noticed now that you're Rogue Cheney from Sabertooth". Erza said in a calm tone and then she and her guild mates bowed their heads apologetically.
He then also calmed down, and had a serious expression again while he was shaking his head. "It's fine, and by the way i also noticed now who you guys are." Lucy Heartfilia, Erza Scarlet, Kagura Mikazuchi, and Mirajane Strauss." He said in a calm tone, and was surprised internally how long he is talking with them now because he usually tries to avoid other people, but those four women really managed it so far to have a interesting conversation with him.
The four looked at him with a surprised expression at first, but then they cutely smiled at him because he recognized them and happily closed their eyes. "So that means you also heard about our guild Mermaid Heel in the past right?" Kagura asked him politely to which he responded with a nod. "Mm, i heard about your guild a long time ago when my master Sting and his girlfriend Sarah told me about you and your guild... He paused for a moment and looked down before he then looked at the four women again and continued his speech. "Which i find very interesting, because i always imagined that this guild has probably a lot of strong and powerful women there but i never thought i would meet four members of that guild here right now." He said with a serious expression but he was still impressed to meet them now in Crocus here.
The four smiled at him once more and nodded. "Mm, we're happy you met us here right now and i'm pretty sure you would be also impressed by the other members." Lucy said with a smile and looked at him with another blush on her face. Then suddenly, Mira had a smirk on her face and was slowly walking towards him which not only surprised him but also the other three women. She then stood in front of him with her face very close to his face, which made him nervous and blushed while the other three were irritated and had tick marks on their heads.
"Um… Mira? W-What are doing?" He asked totally nervous, and still blushed but she only giggled at his reaction and looked at him with a warm smile on her face."Don't worry Rogue, i just wanted to take a closer look at your beautiful handsome face that's all." She said with a dreamy smile and blushed, which made him blush even redder now but then he looked angrily at her and had a tick mark on his head. "STOP THAT RIGHT NOW!" He yelled angrily at Mira to which she only reacted with a hearty laugh and was holding her gut, while he then only looked annoyed at her while still having a tick mark on his head before he calmed down and sighed.
But then suddenly Erza pulled her away from him, and also looked angrily at Mira and had a tick mark on her head as well. "HEY WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?" DON'T YOU SEE YOU MAKING HIM UNCOMFORTABLE MIRA!?" She yelled angrily at Mira, who also reacted with a tick mark on her head and looked angrily at Erza. "OH COME ON YOU WOULD DO THE SAME, AND YOU ARE JUST JEALOUS THAT I WAS THE FIRST ONE WALKING TOWARDS HIM AND FLIRTING WITH HIM ERZA!" She angrily yelled back at Erza, who only made an outraged noise and was now even angrier.
"WHAT DID YOU SAY? YOU STUPID GOTHIC BITCH!?" She angrily yelled back at her which made Mira angrier now."YES, YOU HEARD RIGHT WHAT I SAID AND I MEAN IT YOU DUMB REDHEAD BITCH!" She angrily yelled back at Erza, and now both pushed their foreheads against each other and kept looking angry while both had tick marks on their heads. Rogue and Kagura only sweat dropped at their argument, while Lucy only laughed heartily and found their rivalry very funny. "Are they always like this?" Rogue asked Kagura with a confused look on his face and waited patiently for a response from the swordswomen.
Kagura then slowly turned her head towards him, and looked at him with a warm smile on her face. "Yes, they have this rivalry since their childhood but i'm pretty sure deep inside they still like each other, and are friends so i wouldn't worry about it too much." She said while still looking at him with a smile on her face, and assured him that this was normal for the two to have an argument like this on a daily basis. He just simply nodded but then suddenly he had a small smile on his face. "I think they are very charming and i like them." He thought but then he was shaking his head."Wait, what are you thinking right now Rogue?"... You are not here to make new friends." He thought and had a serious expression again, which made Kagura and the other three look at him with a worried face.
"Are you ok Rogue?" Lucy asked him with a concerned look on her face and gently put a hand on his shoulder. He then made a noise of surprise, and looked at the four female mages and noticed how they looked at him with worried expressions. He sighed but then he looked at them with a small smile on his face and nodded. "Mm, don't worry i'm fine but now i have to continue my journey, and i must go to the train station so that i can return to my guild soon. He said while he gently touched her hand which made her blush, and he also gently removed it from his shoulder. His small smile then faded, and he looked at them with a serious expression again.
Of course, this made the four then look at him with a sad expression. He noticed this and now had a warm smile on his face, which has been a long time since he had a smile like that on his face. The four looked at him surprised, while blushing again and they wondered what he will tell them now."It was really great talking with all of you which i didn't expect at all, because i don't normally like and trust people so easily but i have to admit you ladies are very charming and i like you." He said while he kept looking at them with a warm smile. This made them now blush even redder. They were surprised at first, but then they smiled warmly back at him and were happy that he thought they were very charming and they were also happy that he liked and trusted them.
"Goodbye girls maybe we'll see each other again one day." He said and turned around and just wanted to go now. But then suddenly, all four women were thinking the same and looked at each other with a smile and nodded because they had an idea now. Erza then was slowly walking towards him, and gently touched his shoulder which made him look at her again with a surprised look on his face. "What do you want?" He asked her politely and waited patiently for a response from the red haired mage. Even though he was annoyed internally, and wondered what she wanted from him now because he wanted to go.
Erza just smiled warmly at him, which made him blush but then he was shaking his head to clear his mind. She and the other three female mages giggled because they found him and his reactions so cute, but then they stopped and looked at him again and wondered if he would accept their offer. "How about you come with us as a guest to our guild?" Erza asked him kindly while she had a cute smile on her face. This made him look at her with a surprised face, and then looked behind Erza and saw her three guild mates who had a cute smile on their faces as well before he then looked at Erza again.
"B-But are you sure your guild master and your other guild mates have no problem with this?"... "I-I mean it is a women's guild, and i don't think men are welcome there"… "And i also don't want you to get in a lot of trouble because of me." He said nervously, and kept looking at Erza who then just gently put a hand on his shoulder and smiled once more at him. "Don't worry sweetie, our guild master and our other guild mates don't have a problem with that because no man may join the guild, but they are still allowed to visit the building if they knock on the door first and ask for permission to enter of course." She then paused for a moment and could see his surprised reaction which she found very amusing, and held a hand on her mouth to stifle her laughter before she then quickly calmed down and continued her speech."But it's also ok if we bring a male guest with us there, and go inside the building because we offered you an invitation and gave you permission to visit Mermaid Heel as a male guest." She said while she kept smiling at him, and assured him that it's totally ok to go with them to Mermaid Heel and enter the building as a male visitor.
He nodded but then thought about this for a short moment. "Hm i don't know i mean i always found this guild very interesting and i would like to see how strong all of them really are, but on the other hand i'm still someone who rather prefers to be alone than to hang out with others. He thought deeply about this but then he decided to accept their offer, and would also actually go with them and spend some time in the building than having to sit in this damn train now. He then looked at Erza again with a small smile on his face. "Ok fine i come with you as a guest to visit Mermaid Heel Erza." He said in a calm tone and kept looking at her. She and the other three female mages were now happy that he said yes to their invitation, and were now looking forward to spending at least some time with him in the building before he then would return to Gazania.
Then suddenly, Erza and Mira were gently taking his arms which surprised him and he was now nervous again while he blushed. They all smiled lovingly at him. "Are you ready to come with us now to see Mermaid Heel for the first time Rogue?" Mira asked him with a warm smile and she and the other three women waited patiently for a response from their new crush. He was still blushing, but then he calmed down and looked at her with another small smile while he nodded his head. "Mm, im ready when you are." He said and looked at all four of them and they happily nodded while blushing again. "Yes, we're ready too." They happily shouted and then with their new crush, they were now on their way back to the Mermaid Heel Building.
So, that was the first chapter of A Shadow Dragon Slayer and his Mermaids. And yes, i thought why not also include a OC character into the story as well? So yeah, Sarah is the first anime OC character from me, that will play a part in this story and i will do a chapter with her and Sting which i hope will be soon. But i don't know, if there will also be other OC characters in this story so i still to decide that yet. I will see when i write and upload the next chapter of this fanfic. I'll also see when i continue Natsu's new journey, but until then have a great day guys and see you soon with a new chapter. :)
