Summary: While playing around on a waterfall edge with Wind, Hyrule falls. Legend was quick to take action but now two members of the party are missing. Will they be able to find them in time?

A/N: I hope you enjoy! Sorry for any spelling/ grammar errors- it's not really edited much.

The Wind howled harshly as the light drizzle started turning into a down pour. Frustrated tears hidden by the rain slid down his face as he heard another round of shouts announcing his missing friends had not yet been found. He couldn't help but panic at the thought of the different scenarios might be happening.

Trying to calm himself and might he add failing miserably, he kept his eyes glued to the raging river that had swept his brothers away.

Wind couldn't help but feel responsible for the whole thing.

He had been messing around on a cliff edge near a rapid waterfall, convincing Hyrule to join him.

Besides Warriors warning shout to avoid getting too close to the water to avoid slippery rocks; Wind rolled his eyes and moved closer because he was a capable hero and grew up surrounded by water.

It wasn't until Hyrule was slipping off the edge following the flow of the water that Wind came to regret his stubbornness. He had lunged towards the traveler trying to save him and had even managed to grab hold but at last Hyrule had slipped in the direct path of the waterfall and the harsh water pulled him free.

Wind helplessly watched as Hyrule fell into the water below, being swept away out of sight at a rather fast pace. Before Wind could manage to think of what to do, Legend was leaping in after the other and then he too disappeared from sight.

The only thing that stopped Wind from foolishly jumping after the duo was Warriors, who was keeping a tight grip on his shoulder.

Wasting no time, Time quickly divulged out a plan and the remaining heroes started making their trek down the path of the river. Just in case the two had managed to pull themselves to land, the chain spread out covering as much ground as they could.

Wind had fought for his spot right next to the river so that he could be right there to help in case the two were still struggling in the water and the others not wanting to waste any of the valuable time they had left readily agreed.

So far, they had yet to find any sign of the other heroes which was making Wind feel more and more panicked by the minute.

If the two had managed to get stuck on something in the river, the chances were they wouldn't survive.

The area soon enough started narrowing down till the river started flowing in the middle of two rock edged. Slowly the chain was forced to regroup as the area narrowed completely.

"Promising." He heard Four mumble from behind him.

Which yeah Wind could agree with that- things were looking for the worse.

"Does Hyrule even know how to swim?" Wild questioned.

And oh, was that the question. None of them knew the answer to it either.

The fear inside him worsened- the river was wild enough that even the most expert swimmers would have had trouble managing the rapids, add in the stormy weather and they were practically guaranteed death.

"The storms only getting worse. It'll probably be too dangerous for us to be walking here soon." Wild informed the group.

"What do you mean?" Sky asked.

"Well one with all this rain, we're already at risk for joining the trip down the river but the real problem is that I wouldn't be surprised with how bad it's storming if the river starts to flood this entire area. Add in the narrow walls and we're practically walking into a death trap." Wild explained.

"You should have said something sooner." Time said with a weary sigh.

Wild flinched and had a guilty expression on his face. They all knew that Wild had realized this sooner but had withheld the information hoping to find their missing members sooner. Wind couldn't blame him; he would have done the same if he was in his shoes.

"If we find some kind of break in the rocks- especially if it gives us height, we will have to stop." Time said leaving no room for debate.

The group begrudgingly agreed and continued along the tough trail.

Soon enough they stumbled upon a loose trail of rocks of rocks that they could use to climb up.

Wind wanted to protest leaving the search but realized it would be pointless. He could already see the water level of the river rising and at this point there was no way the two were still alive in the water, unless Legend had managed to remember to grab an item that could help them before racing into the water after his prodigy and leaving his bag behind.

All that he could truly hope was that the pair had managed to get out and that the chain had just missed them in their search.

The seven defeated heroes made their way carefully up the slippery rocks.

After they reached the top, they were pleasantly surprised to find a good-sized looking cave off to the left.

Wind stumbled at the back of the group, dragging his tired feet through the mud.

His eyes were glued to the floor, so it took him a good minute to realize why everyone was suddenly gasping.

It wasn't until Wilds startled yell of - "Legend! Hyrule!" that he actually looked up. And sure, enough the two were a snuggling, shivering, half conscious mess in the back of the cave. They were clearly miserable, but they were most definitely alive.

Wind was quick to join the others in rushing the two. He helped pull out clean clothes for the two as the group shuffled around making sure they were okay.

Once everyone was satisfied with the two's conditions, they suddenly remembered they too were soaked. Soon enough the group had all changed into clean clothes and Wild started preparing dinner.

Wind snuggled up against the pair, listening closely to the two so he could hear their every breathe. Legend was too tired to put up a fight and was allowing Wind to lay across him.

It was only a bit later when the food was dished out and they were all digging in that Wind realized them Legends legs were replaced with a shimmering pink tail.

"Wait- what?!" Wind shouted, mouth agape, staring at the strange appendage.

Legend and Hyrule shared a look before laughing and soon enough the rest of the chain was joining in on the laughter.

Oh, how Legend was going to be in for quite the bit of questioning.

A/N: Well, I hope you all enjoyed day 1!

If you can't tell Legend activated his mermaid suit and kept Hyrule safe until he could pull them ashore. Then I guess Hyrule helped drag Legend up the cliff. Legend hasn't changed back because he's exhausted and soaked.

Hopefully I'll be back tomorrow with day 2! Thank you for reading this!
