Lou was not the 'normal' or 'cool' kid. They never were. At primary school, they were alone most of the time. The other kids thought they were 'weird' or a 'freak'. But Lou… They took it as a compliment. Being alone always when they were in school still hurt them, though. They discovered one thing very early:If you want to survive without getting hurt, you need to get invisible. Need to blend in. Stay silent. But never let anyone guess your next move.Lou never really accepted this. In their third year, they already understood that they weren't like anyone else.
First: They felt 'fluid' sometimes. At some days, they felt like a girl. At some others, more like a boy. And sometimes… like nothing of that. They did a bit of research, and discovered that 'fluidity' was called 'Genderfluid'. They told their parents of it. Their parents were insecure about it, but they allowed them to change their pronouns from She/Her to They/Them and their name from Louisa to Lou.
Second, they had some weird abilities. If they were angry one time, the ugly sweater just exploded. Their parents ran upstairs to her, but didn't know how the sweater could have exploded. When they were sad because they already ate the whole ice cream, suddenly, the ice cream… came back somehow. It wasn't always that cool. Some people looked at them like they weren'tsomebodybutsomething. Acreaturethat was able to go on two legs and speak.
In the holidays between her fourth and fifth year, something changed. Usually, they and their parents go on vacation to the east coast. But not this year. Instead, someone,or something, knocked on the door. Lou's father opened the door. "Hello, who are you?", he said. Lou turned her head. There stood a woman with grey glasses. Her eyes were in a light green. "Hello. My name's Minerva McGonnagal, but you can just call me Prof. McGonnagal. I'm the deputy head teacher of Hogwarts. That is a school for witches and wizards. The headmaster is Albus Dumbledore. Great man. I've come to tell you about Hogwarts, because you are a witch. Hogwarts is a boarding school. You'll need a few things for it, like school books, a wand… We'll go to Diagon Alley for all that stuff tomorrow. I can imagine that's a bit much information in that small amount of time. Is it ok if I come back tomorrow at 10 am?", the woman said. Lou stuttered: "Um, yea, sure. Bye, then!"
The next morning
When Lou waked up, the first thing they thought about was that strange woman that came yesterday. They looked at the clock. 8 am. That meant, they had a lot of time until 10 am, so Lou stood up and went to her wardrobe. The decision for the clothes was relatively easy; They decided for a black leggings with holes in it, a red checkered short skirt, a hoodie in black with red drops that looked like blood, a red-black pyramid belt and black sneakers. They really liked the combination of red and black. They went downstairs and quickly ate /5ChMlXOSH
Then, it was already 10 am. Lou took her bag and went outside. Professor McGonnagal was already there. After they 'apparated', they were in a really big street. Lots of people ignored the two of them, but a few looked at them. First, they went to 'Gringotts', a wizard bank, then to a shop called 'Flourish and blots', a place with a lot of books. Next, they went somewhere Lou bought ingredients for potions class. At 'Ollivanders', they bought a wand- made of spruce and dragon heart string, even if Lou wondered where he got that. At least, Lou bought a tricolor cat. They decided for the name Spottedleaf.
After all of that shopping, they 'apparated' back home. Lou said good bye to her Professor and went to sleep. The shopping tour took lots of time and it was already 9 pm. At September first, Lou's train would depart on 11 am at platform 9 three quarters at train station Kings Cross in London. They just laid in bed and falled asleep immediately.
