Hello, this is Yutilov and I'm back with a new story. Like many, I've been going hype about Sonic 3, especially the next movie that will introduce Amy and Metal Sonic. This idea came to me quite late when I felt I lost my edge and in psite of being something that you've likely never seen until now, I hope you'll like it. And it's also available on Archive of Our Own under the same title.

"La la la~ I love Sonic, and he loves me~" Amy Rose sang, twirling as she strolled along, her signature red dress swaying with each step. Today was an especially good, no, a fantastic day! And for two very important reasons.

The first, and most exciting, was that Sonic! The dashing, world-renowned blue hero she had met by fate as a child had finally, and quite unexpectedly, asked her on a date! Sure, they had gone on dates before, but those had always been her idea. Sonic, ever the free spirit, had treated them as casual hangouts. But now? Now he was the one who had taken the initiative! Oh, it had taken years of patience, countless life-threatening adventures, and more persistence than she could count, but it was finally happening! He was starting to see her in a romantic light!

Back on, the second reason? She was visiting her parents! It had been a while since she last saw them, and she could only imagine how much they missed their little girl. They must have been so proud when she decided to chase after the love of her life... and her future husband.~

"I hope they'll love these muffins," she mused, adjusting the basket in her arms. "They always said I had a real knack for baking..."

She paused, tapping her chin. "…Or did they?"

A strange thought flickered at the edge of her mind. Try as she might, she couldn't actually remember when they had ever said that. No specific memory came to mind... just the vague idea that they had.

For a moment, her brow furrowed. But then she shook her head with a smile. "I must've been really young and just forgot," she decided, brushing the thought aside as she continued on her way.

After a few more miles of walking, Amy Rose finally arrived at a small log house nestled deep in the woods. It was just as she remembered. A house painted white with a red roof and surrounded by a garden bursting with vibrant flowers she had always admired.

"Ah! Home sweet home~" she sighed with a contented smile. No matter how many times she visited, this place never changed. Every little detail remained exactly as it had been since she was a hoglet. Her heart belonged to Sonic, but this house… this was where she was raised, where countless cherished memories with her family were made.

With a polite knock, she gently let herself in. "I'm home~!" she called out, already imagining the joy on her parents' faces when—

"It's about time you arrived! An evil genius isn't known for his patience, you know!"

Amy froze. Her mind stalled for a moment as the unmistakable, prideful voice echoed through the house. That wasn't her mother and most definetly wasn't her father!

Her eyes darted toward the simple wooden dining table, meant for three. Seated there casually sipping from her dad's favorite mug was none other than Doctor Eggman!

And he was drinking coffee! From her dad's mug! The audacity!

"Eggman?!" she gasped, her body tensing with shock and fury. "What are you doing here?!"

Without hesitation, she let go of the basket and reached behind her and grabbed the golden handle of her trusty Piko Piko Hammer. With a swift click, it extended into its full size, her favorite tool for bashing enemies and for chasing off any so-called rivals who dared to get between her and Sonic back in the day.

This time, though, there was no love rivalry. No mischievous banter, just an upcoming villain smashing! Because Eggman had no reason to be here other than likely abducting her or even worse, endangering her family!

"Where are my parents?!" Amy demanded, her grip tightening around her hammer as rage burned in her eyes. "If you've even—"

But before she could finish, Eggman let out a deep, exaggerated yawn that took her back.

He wasn't scared. He wasn't even mildly concerned. He just looked... bored?

"You know, at first, this was quite amusing," the doctor mused, swirling the last bit of coffee in the mug before setting it down.

Amy hesitated, her anger briefly giving way to curiosity. "What was amusing? What are you talking about?"

His tone… it wasn't mocking like usual. It wasn't even smug. It almost sounded... nostalgic?

"What's about to happen next… it's happened so many times that it lost all its charm," Eggman sighed, resting his chin on one hand.

Amy scowled. "If you mean Sonic and the others, me included kicking your butt, then let's get to it!" She hoisted her hammer high and charged at him.

But then—

"Code: Eggtwist 3991."

The words barely registered before her body froze.

Not just stopped... locked.

Her hammer, poised mid-swing, hung in the air mere inches from Eggman's face. Her muscles wouldn't budge. She couldn't move, couldn't even flinch.

Panic surged through her.

"W-What did you do?!" she demanded. Was this some kind of invisible robot? A force field? Something holding her back?

No...

This wasn't an external force stopping her... it was her own body!?

And it obeyed him?

"Hmm... that is something that never happened until now," Eggman mused, his previous boredom giving way to intrigue as he slowly circled her, scrutinizing every inch like a scientist observing a test subject.

Amy's fury only burned hotter. "Answer my question, Eggface!" she snapped, struggling against the unseen force locking her in place.

Eggman clicked his tongue in mock disappointment. "Tsk, tsk. Such rudeness! I expected better from you." He shook his head as if genuinely let down. "But, since you're so eager for answers, and as a man of science, it would be cruel of me not to enlighten you… my little watcher."

Before Amy could process those words, he raised a single gloved finger and pressed it against the center of her chest.

At first, she thought it was just another taunt. A smug, mocking gesture meant to humiliate her further.

But then—

Click*

A faint mechanical whir filled the air.

Amy's breath hitched as she glanced down.

A small heart-shaped compartment had opened in her chest.

Her chest!

She could only stare, wide-eyed, as golden circuits gleamed beneath.

No blood. No flesh. No beating heart...

Only wires and machinery.

The world around her seemed to blur, her mind struggling to grasp what she was seeing.

Eggman simply smirked. "Now that's a response worth my time. Hehe!"
