Chapter 1 The Arrival of the God Eater in Orario.

[Old City: Downtown Ruins]
In an old city there are several ruins, with streets, buildings, roads, houses, everything around them destroyed and infected by the monsters called Aragami. In a more northerly part of the city, you can hear growls, footsteps and the sound of a car engine. An armored car drives through a wall and begins to travel along the roads. Soon after, a giant woman who looks like a monstrous blue fairy with one eye comes through the wall and starts chasing the car.
"What's that? Look, lady, I know I'm beautiful, but you don't need all that to ask me out on a date!" A boy with black hair and an orange jacket speaks in a debauched tone of voice.
The Aragami woman continues to follow the car, and with a quick movement, she fires an orb of yellow light at the car. With difficulty, the boy quickly turns the wheel and manages to steer the car away from the attack. The car destabilizes a little, but he manages to steer it back on course.
"My God! She won't give up!" The boy says, a little annoyed. He looks to the side and sees a panel in the car showing a map of the area. "We're getting to our destination! Bell, are you getting her attention?!" The boy looks in the rearview mirror and sees the gigantic woman still following him.
"Don't worry, Hugo." The boy called Bell speaks confidently as he kicks the car door, breaking it in an instant. He ties a safety rope to his belt and puts half his body out of the car. Bell, a boy about 15 years old, white hair with a few spikes, blue eyes like the sea, black collared shirt with gray parts with a white chest plate made of titanium, blue pants, boots that come up to his knees, a small cape that seems to be made of an old coat with a wolf symbol on it, black ribbons all over his clothes and one on his cheek, two small devices on the side of his head that look like floating black wings. "Trust me. She won't get away."
Bell raises his God Arc Biting Edge Ammit Prototype Twin, points his right sword at the one-eyed Aragami Woman and gives a slightly wry smile. In an instant he joins his two God Arcs, making her switch from Blade to Gun mode. The Sniper Gun Ammit Prototype Sniper activates and he takes aim at the Aragami Woman.
"Of the two of us, you've always been better at target practice." Hugo sneers a little as he makes a quick turn with the car. Bell loses her balance a little, but gives a wry smile in response.
"You see, I always won our competitions!" Bell points his Sniper at the Aragami woman and closes his left eye while focusing his right eye on the target.
The Aragami woman opens her eye and begins to prepare an attack. She summons three yellow orbs and points her hands at the car. In one swift action, Bell pulls the trigger and fires a precise beam of red light from the Sniper. The bullet quickly flies towards the Aragami woman and hits her in the eye.
She lets out a few roars and groans of pain and holds her face to try to ease the pain. But she loses concentration and the orbs explode near her. A huge curtain of smoke appears between them. Hugo looks in the rearview mirror, sees the cloud of smoke and smiles.
"Like I said, you've always been a good shot." Hugo says and looks back in Bell's direction.
"It's not over yet." Bell walks back to the car and sits down on the seat next to Hugo. "This will only make her angrier." Bell touches the screen between him and Hugo, making a microphone symbol appear. "Zeke, Lulu, is the trap ready?"

Elsewhere in the ruined city, two people are visible on top of two buildings. They are separated by a street. The girl is on one of the buildings, she touches above her right ear and speaks in a frank and firm voice.
"The explosives on my end are fully prepared." The girl called Lulu speaks into her communicator. She looks at the building across the street and sees a person in it. "But I can't say the same for Zeke."
"Hey, what do you mean?!" The boy called Zeke who is in the other building speaks up, looking very indignant. "I placed all the explosives correctly... I think." Zeke says, slightly doubting his work.
"Didn't I tell you?" Lulu sighs a little. She looks at the horizon and sees the huge cloud of smoke that was made a short while ago.
"I beg you two! Please don't fight!" A cute, feminine voice speaks to the two in the buildings. "I have to inform you, the Aragami called Sariel has not yet been eliminated."
"That should be obvious by now, my sweet Amy!" Zeke says a little mockingly. "It's obvious that she wouldn't be shot dead. Besides, a shot fired by Bell!" Zeke laughs lightly.
"You only say that because among our group he came first and you came last in the practical tests orchestrated by Miss Hilda." Lulu says as she watches the cloud begin to dissipate.
"That's not true!" Zeke says, sounding much more irritated. "And besides, he only came first because he was using a Sniper." Zeke says, looking away angrily.
"Of course, Zeke. It's not because you're bad at aiming and shooting." Bell says, mocking the boy a little.
"Come on, you..." Zeke growls, getting even angrier.
"Let's put that aside." Bell looks back. He sees the cloud of smoke dissipate and Sariel come after them again. "She's not giving up anytime soon. Hugo, step on it!" Bell says, turning to Hugo.
"Your orders!" Hugo smiles and steps on the gas pedal. Making the car run faster towards the buildings where Lulu and Zeke are.
Sariel roars and flies towards the car while launching magical attacks at them. With a lot of effort, Hugo manages to move the car and dodge the Aragami woman's attacks. Hugo hits the gas harder, sees a bend and smiles and turns the wheel with great violence. The car spins its wheels, making a loud noise as the rubber drags on the ground. Bell begs any entity that will listen to him to survive this turn.
"Let's roll!" Hugo says excitedly as he turns the wheel and drifts the car. Managing to make the turn, he drives towards the two buildings.
"Look, they're coming!" Zake gives a little smile as he uses one of his hands to cover over his eyes, avoiding the light of the sunset.
"Get ready, we need to stay alert and activate the explosives at the right time." Lulu says as she picks up her God Arc Biting Edge and waves her arms for warmth.
"Sure, sure." Zeke stretches, stretching his spine and letting out a sigh. "Well, let's go." He picks up his God Arc Boost Hammer and rests it on his shoulder.
The two of them watch the car drive down the road and approach them. Just then the Aragami comes around the bend and swerves and chases the car.
Hugo presses the button on the car's screen. "We're coming!" He says into his communicator. "Amy, tell me how many meters we are from the trap and how many meters Sariel is from us."
"Yes, of course!" Amy says and quickly starts typing at her desk. "You are about 60 meters from the trap and Sariel is about 15 meters away from you." Amy says to the four of them.
"Understood! Thanks Amy!" Bell says while facing Hugo. "So, in how many meters do we set off the explosives?" Bell says, looking at Hugo.
"What do you think?" Hugo hits the accelerator harder. "We'll improvise!" Hugo accelerates the car making Bell start praying to whatever god is in his mind.
Lulu and Zeke watched as the car got further from the buildings. The two of them take out their God Arcs and switch them to pistol mode, walking to the edge of the building and watching as the car gets closer and closer. They looked at each other and nodded.
"So, Lulu. Are you ready?" Zeke says with a victorious smile on his face.
"Don't sing victory too soon." Lulu says, looking focused.
"They're coming, get ready!" Amy speaks into her communicator as they look at the map of the four of them and Aragami's locations. "They're coming in 3... 2..."
Lulu and Zeke prepare for action and stand in their positions. In an instant the car passes them. "1!" Amy speaks and at the same moment Lulu and Zeke leap from the buildings. With both of them falling upside down, they point their pistols at the buildings and fire a purple bullet. The bullets enter the buildings and explode in a small purple explosion. Managing to affect the explosives, they begin to detonate. Breaking several parts of the two buildings in a few seconds.
Lulu and Zeke land on the ground and quickly run in the opposite direction to Sariel. Aragami runs down the road trying to catch them, but she feels a small stone fall on her. And another, and another, several stones fall on her. She looks up and sees the two buildings collapsing on top of her.
"Don't think that's it!" Zeke reaches into a small pouch at his waist and pulls out a small grenade. He puts the grenade near his mouth and bites the pin, pulling it out, he quickly throws the grenade at Sariel.
Sariel tries to fly out from under the buildings, but gets shot in the chest and is distracted for a few seconds. Just long enough for the buildings to fall on top of her.
Hugo stops the car, he quickly gets out of the car with his God Arc in hand and Bell follows soon after. The two of them run to Lulu and Zeke, but a small explosion erupts from the collapsed buildings. Shrapnel flies everywhere, and the four of them quickly protect themselves with their shields.
"Whew! We did it!" Zeke celebrates with a fist raised to the sky.
"What idea was that?!" Hugo approaches Zeke and pats him on the head. "Why did you throw that grenade? That wasn't part of the plan!" Hugo says as he stares at Zeke with a frightened expression.
"Come on, man!" Zeke whimpers as he holds his head. "That was in case she survived the fall of the buildings!"
"It's obvious that she would survive the fall of the buildings, so we had an extra plan." Lulu says as she stares at the collapsed buildings.
"What?! And you didn't tell me about the extra plan?!" Zeke asks with a mixture of surprise and incredulity in his voice.
"It's just that we thought you'd act on impulse and ruin the plan..." Bell approaches Zeke and puts a hand on his shoulder. "And look, that's exactly what you did!" Bell gives a little smile as he disapproves of Zake's actions.
"People, please concentrate!" Amy speaks into the communicators of the four of them.
"What is it, Amy?" Bell says as she stares at the collapsed buildings.
"Remember, you need to get Sariel's core for the researchers." Amy says to the four of them. "Then don't lose her for anything!"
"Leave it to us!" Hugo says, reassuring Amy. "Okay, guys, let's go on the attack."
As soon as Hugo spoke his orders, a crash erupted from the buildings and Sariel quickly freed herself. The four of them prepare for the attack and start running towards Sariel. Zeke uses his God Arc and propels himself forward, making him fly for a few meters. He does a few flips through the air and uses the rocket from his hammer to hit Sariel's head.
Sariel receives Zeke's hammer blow and becomes a little dizzy. Lulu quickly changes the mode of her God Arc to Switch Mode, turning the two blades into a stick with a blade at each end. Lulu leaps towards a wall, jumping towards Sariel and hitting Aragami's left arm. Hugo lunges towards Sariel and hits her legs with his God Arc Long Blade.
Bell crawls across the floor, turns his God Arc into a pistol and takes aim at Sariel. He shoots her and hits her eye again. Hugo transforms his God Arc into pistol mode and shoots Sariel in the paws. Lulu quickly jumps towards Sariel and hits her right arm with her God Arc. Zeke moves away a little and jumps in front of Sariel. He moves his body and hits Sariel in the stomach with his God Arc.
Sariel growls, opens her arms and summons a gigantic barrier of blue and yellow lights. Bell, Hugo, Zeke and Lulu quickly activate their shields to fend off the attack. Sariel roars and flies up a few more meters.
"Don't let her get away!" Amy says, sounding very desperate. The four of them nod and switch their God Arcs to pistol mode.
The four of them aim at Sariel and start firing in her direction. Sariel tries to dodge the shots, but receives most of them and grunts and moans in pain. The four of them keep firing non-stop to try to stop Aragami, the four of them keep firing non-stop to take Aragami down.
"Don't stop shooting!" Zeke says as he continues to shoot at Sariel.
Sariel moans and starts to fall to the ground. The four of them move away a little as Aragami falls to the ground and a small cloud of dust appears. Aragami tries to crawl across the ground to escape, but Bell quickly jumps on Sariel and hits her head with his swords. Managing to split Sariel's head in two.
Hugo, Lulu and Zeke move away a little, but they soon approach the fallen Aragami while letting out a few sighs.
"Whew! We did it!" Zeke says with relief as he wipes the sweat from his brow and puts his God Arc down to rest.
"At least we managed to complete the mission." Hugo says sounding relieved, he sets his God Arc on the ground and huffs.
"Let's get the core out before it disappears for good." Lulu suggests to the three of them as the boys blink in response.
"Right..." Bell climbs down from Sariel and lands on the ground. "Let's get started." Bell raises his right sword, Oracle Cells surround the God Arc and an Aragami head pops out of it. The Aragami head quickly advances against Sariel and begins to devour her.
"If there's more than one, it'll take less time." Zeke says, laughing a little. He raises his God Arc and makes the Aragami from his God Arc come out and start devouring Sariel.
"Well, I guess I'll help too..." Hugo stretches and picks up his God Arc from the ground. "Are you coming?" Hugo directs his question to Lulu, who just nods in response.
Hugo and Lulu walk over to the two of them and raise their God Arcs, helping them to devour the fallen Sariel. After devouring Aragami for some time, they get to where they want to be.
"There it is!" Bell puts his hand inside the Aragami's flesh and picks up something that looks like a cyan blue sphere. Bell stands up and puts his right hand to his ear. "This is Bell Pennywort, I've just taken the core of the Aragami called Sariel."
"All right, Mr. Bell! Thank you for getting the core!" Amy says in an excited and happy voice. "Please go back to the caravan and report your find."
"Roger that. We're on our way to the Caravan." Bell nods and hangs up the communicator. He looks at the three next to him and gives a slight smile. "Mission complete. Are we going back to the Caravan?"
"Of course!" Zeke says, sounding exhausted. "I want to go back and get some sleep. I just hope the pay is high." Zeke walks towards the armored car.
"I agree with him, I'm feeling a bit exhausted myself." Lulu starts walking to the car while waving her arms.
"Well, it's been a lively day. But they're right, let's go back and rest for today." Hugo taps Bell on the chest.
"Sure, let's go." Bell nods and they both start walking to the car. "But I'm driving today."
"Only over my dead body!" Hugo mocks as he rushes into the driver's seat. Bell laughs happily in response and runs to the car.
PAUSE
"I'd like to thank you for your cooperation in getting Sariel's core. We really needed it to finish some research." A blonde woman wearing a monocle and with large breasts speaks as she looks at the four of them with a smile.
"No problem, Hilda!" Hugo crosses his arms and returns the smile to the woman in front of him.
"Just remember to pay us well for our efforts!" Zeke says, wiggling his thumb, forefinger and middle finger. He rubs all three against each other to signal for more money, but he receives a blow to the head. "Ouch!" He holds his aching head.
"Stop being a mercenary." Bell says with a slight laugh. He draws laughter from the people in the meeting room.
"Well, don't worry about that. I'll make sure you're paid properly for your work." Hilda smiles at them.
"I thank you, Miss Hilda!" Bell and Hugo bowed their heads in thanks to the woman in front of them.
"All right, but I think you'd better get some sleep. It's getting late and you've worked hard today. So have a good rest.
After a few more words of farewell, the three boys leave the meeting room and walk down the corridor to their rooms.
"What's up, guys? Do you want to eat, play a game or something?" Zeke says excitedly as he skips happily down the corridor.
"Weren't you the one who was sleepy and wanted to sleep soon?" Bell scoffs a little as he raises an eyebrow.
"What? Agent is going to get a good paycheck! Let's celebrate!" Zeke says, sounding a little discouraged.
"Sorry, Zeke. But I really want to get some sleep... *Yaw* Sorry, but I'm going to the dorms." Bell says, rubbing his eyes.
"Me too." Hugo stretches out his arms. "We'll have more work tomorrow. So I want to be fully rested."
"Oh come on!" Zeke says sounding a little disappointed. "What am I going to do then?"
"Hey! Zeke!" A male voice calls out, drawing the attention of the three boys.
A boy who looks like Zeke walks up to the three and greets them warmly.
"Hey Bell, hi Hugo!" The boy says, sounding very happy.
"Hi Keith!" Bell and Hugo say hello to the boy.
"Keith, what do you want? I was about to have a late night snack." Zeke says, sounding a little annoyed.
"Leave the snack for later. I want to show you something I've discovered!" Keith quickly takes Zeke's hand and drags him to the research lab wing.
"And that's our cue to go to the dorms." Bell says and starts walking to the dormitories.
Bell and Hugo arrive at the dormitories. As they enter the room, Bell stretches and takes off his cloak, placing it on a hanger by the door. Then he takes off his chest plate and puts it on a table, then he takes off his boots (which surprisingly don't stink.) and puts them aside. Bell goes to the bunks and climbs up to the second bunk.
"Ahhh... Time for a rest..." Bell lets out a huge sigh as he relaxes on the bed.
"You really look tired." Hugo takes off his coat and puts it on a hanger next to Bell's cloak.
"What do you think? We spent hours chasing that Sariel." Bell lets out another sigh as he speaks.
"But in the end we managed to defeat her." Hugo takes off his boots and lies down on the bed beneath Bell. "That reminds me of our first missions."
"Ahhh please! It doesn't remind me of that!" Bell covers his face with a pillow, looking much more tired.
"Why? I remember very well that you were a crybaby!" Hugo closes his fists and puts them close to his eyes, turning them to pretend to cry.
"Come on, man! Are you going to make fun of me now?" Bell snorted in frustration.
"And I remember when you took courage and saved me from the attack of some Aragamis who had surrounded me." Hugo said, his voice softening a little. "And I remember every word you said that day..."
(Flashback.)
A boy called Bell, about 7 years old, is breathing heavily as he looks at the body of 5 Ogretails that he has just knocked to the ground, killing them in a few moments.
"Hugo..." Bell speaks in a tired voice as he tries to stand up. "This world may be despicable, it may be terrible, but we will survive... And we'll survive together!" Bell speaks with conviction in his tone.
Hugo's eyes widen in surprise at Bell's words. He reluctantly gets up and boo's Bell. Punching the boy lightly in the chest, he smiles at him.
"Yes, we'll survive... Whatever it takes." Hugo speaks with determination and a little fear in his voice.
Bell, who is still breathing hard, returns the weak punch to Hugo's chest and smiles back.
(End of Flashback.)
"Even though you were very scared, you faced those five Ogretails. And you did it to save me." Hugo smiles as he speaks.
Bell sighs. "It's just that I didn't want to lose my first friend and the person who understood my feelings and pain the most." Bell says as he gives a slight smile. "But enough of that. Let's go to sleep soon."
"Right... *Yaw* Good night... Bell..." Hugo slowly closes his eyes, but he doesn't fall asleep until he hears your reply.
"Good night... Hugo..." Bell replies as he slowly falls asleep in his bed.
(Next day.)
"RED ALERT!" "RED ALERT!" Amy's voice speaks through the Caravan's loudspeakers, waking up the three sleeping boys.
"Ahh... What was that now?" Zeke rubs his eyes while still lying on his bunk.
"If it's a red alert, then the situation looks pretty bad." Hugo says, quickly getting up from his bunk.
"Then let's go!" Bell quickly jumps out of his bed and goes to his boots. Meanwhile, Hugo and Zeke are getting ready to go to the mission port.
"Um... Bell? What are you doing?" A boy with a weak, hoarse voice gets up from his bunk and walks over to Bell.
"Oh, hi Sho. We don't know what this is yet, but we'll find out soon!" Bell reaches out and strokes Sho's head. "Now go to sleep, you need to rest so your voice gets better."
"Right *Cough*..." Sho, still a little drowsy, walks over to his bed and lies down to sleep.
"I just hope he gets better soon." Zeke says, watching Sho go back to sleep.
"He'll be fine." Hugo takes his coat and puts it on himself. "He'll get better little by little, but even so, he shouldn't push himself too hard."
"Right..." Bell goes to the coat rack and takes his cape, putting it on, he buttons the collar making it cover his mouth. "Let's go to Amy's."
After getting ready, the boys run through the caravan and reach the mission bridge, while meeting Amy, Lulu and the head of the Caravan, Hilda. Bell, Zeke and Hugo run up to the three girls and check out the situation.
"What's going on?" Hugo asks, approaching Amy.
"Apparently..." Amy rummages through her computer to locate what happened. "It seems that Valley: Abandoned Mines is experiencing an occurrence of unknown Oracle Ash, and we don't know what could be causing it!" Amy says, sounding very worried.
"Don't you have any clue what could be causing this?" Hilda put her index finger and thumb to her chin, looking thoughtful.
"I know it may seem dangerous, but we still need to find out what's going on and avoid a possible catastrophe." Amy says, sounding hesitant as she looks at the group.
"In that case, we'll go." Bell says, taking the lead.
"Are you sure about this?" Hilda asks, looking very worried and hesitant.
"If the worst comes to the worst, we'll flee the scene." Bell says, reassuring his boss Hilda. "We'll manage. And also, we've survived all sorts of things, what could possibly go wrong?"
"Ahhh..." Hilda sighs, seeing Bell's discontent. "Okay... But you'd better stay out of trouble. I don't want to lose my best soldiers." Hilda gives Bell a slight smile.
Bell nods in response. He turns to his group and raises his closed fist. Hugo and Zeke raise their fists in response, smiling until they see Lulu look away.
"Come on, Lulu. Aren't you going to do the war cry?" Zeke says, mocking the girl a little.
"I don't want to do something so embarrassing." Lulu turns her head to turn her attention away from the boys.
"Lulu, are we a team or not?" Hugo laughs a little
"We've only known each other for a week. So we don't have enough time working together." Lulu continues to look away.
"And we're already friends!" Bell says, giving the girl a smile. "Let's go! For our team." Bell smiles at Lulu. The girl looks at Bell, sighs and walks over to the group.
Lulu raises her fist and the four of them put their fists together. Raising them upwards, they slam their bracelets together, making a loud metal clanging sound as they shout "One for all and all for one!"
[...]
(Night.)
"Okay, now what do we do?" Zeke asks as he and the group make their way along a mountain peak with a chasm. Zeke huffs in frustration as he walks.
"Let's stay focused. We need to find this Oracle Ash anomaly and figure out how to contain it." Bell says, looking around.
"I don't know..." Lulu looks around and sees the top of the mountain. "I have a bad feeling about this..."
"What do you mean? Amy hasn't located any Aragami in the area." Hugo says as he walks alongside the girl.
"I know, but..." Lulu lowers her head thoughtfully. "I still feel something strange around here..." Lulu looks at her surroundings, but sees nothing strange.
"It's probably just an uneasy feeling." Zeke shrugs as he stretches to shake off his laziness. "But what exactly are we here to do?"
"To find the anomaly. As Amy told us, this oracle ash won't be dangerous if we don't enter it. Since it's small, there's not much danger to us." Bell explains as he walks.
"As always, our leader is exceptional at what he does!" Zeke says, lightly slapping Bell on the back. "Hey, look over there!" Zeke points to a small cloud of black smoke near a hill.
"Is that what we came for?" Hugo asks as he looks at the small cloud of black smoke.
"Maybe... Amy." Bell puts his right hand above his ear. "Amy, is that the anomaly we came for?"
"Just a moment..." Amy analyzes the data. "Yes, that's right. But something seems strange..."
"What do you mean? What do you mean?" Bell asks worriedly, he looks at Zeke and sees the boy walking towards the small cloud of black smoke.
"Ah, if that's what we've come for, then let's eliminate it right away!" Zeke crouches down next to the black cloud as he pulls something out of his pockets.
"Guys! You urgently need to... *Error*" Amy tries to speak, but communication is cut off.
"Amy... Amy what happened!" Bell asks worriedly as he looks around and feels a strange sense of fear and terror.
"What happened?" Hugo approaches Bell while touching his shoulder.
Bell looks around and the feeling of fear and terror grows stronger. "Not that one..." Bell mutters as he stares at Zeke. In an instant, Bell uses his God Arc to propel himself towards Zeke. Reaching him, Bell grabs him by the shirt and throws him away from the Cloud.
"Bell..." Zeke is surprised by Bell's action, but in a split second he sees the wall next to him crack and a huge Aragami emerge from it.
Dyaus Pita destroys the mountain wall and leaps towards Bell. Grasping it with his mouth, he leaps towards the abyss nearby.
"BELL!" The three of them scream in desperation, but two more Dyaus Pita appear to block their way.
Bell continues to fall down the chasm as he tries to free himself from the bite, with half his body and one arm inside the Dyaus Pita's mouth, he uses his free arm to drive his sword into the Aragami's eye. The Aragami roars in pain and ends up releasing Bell, who in a few seconds falls to the ground, reaching the end of the chasm.
Bell groans in pain as he gets up. He looks up and sees that the top of the chasm is very, very far away. He sighs a little wearily as he feels his body waver for a few seconds. He hears several roars and looks ahead. He sees several Aragami such as Ogretail, Burg Camlann, Gboro-Gboro, Chy-You and a Dyaus Pita.
"Shit..." Bell mutters as he tries to raise his swords, but his left arm gives way because it was injured by the Pita's bite. Bell breathes heavily as he tries to formulate a plan. He sees the Oracle Ashes rising around him. Sighing, he gives a slight smile.
Bell raises his right hand to his ear and speaks into his communicator. "Guys... Can you hear me?..."
"Bell! Are you all right? You're alive! Don't worry, we'll get you out!" Hugo speaks hurriedly, while scuffling noises can clearly be heard from the communicator.
"Guys... I'm sorry... I guess I wasn't a very good leader..." Bell says, watching the Aragami get closer and the Ashes get bigger.
"Bell! Don't say that! We'll save you! Zeke says angrily as gunshots are heard over the communicator.
"You can hear me..." Bell speaks weakly, sounding increasingly tired. "I want to thank you... For being with me all this time..." Bell breathes in slowly.
"Bell! No!" Lulu speaks sounding desperate. She lunges at Dyaus Pita and slashes at his hind legs, knocking him down and out in an instant.
Lulu tries to run into the abyss, but another Pita appears in front of her and blocks the way. She jumps to attack him, but he uses his bladed wings to throw her into a wall.
"Bell..." Lulu mutters, trying to crawl into the abyss.
"Lulu!" Zeke runs up to Pita and hammers him on the head, making him stagger a little. Giving Hugo the chance to cut off his head and kill him. "Lulu, are you all right?" Zeke walks over to the girl and helps her up.
"Bell... I have to help Bell..." Lulu breaks free of Zeke's arms and tries to run to the abyss, but two Burg Gamlannn appear and block her path.
"Damn it!" Hugo picks up a grenade, pulling the pin he throws the grenade at the two Aragami, but they defend with their shields.
"Shit! This way Bell will..." Zeke shouts mentally. But a voice on his communicator makes him freeze in fear.
"It's all right... Guys..." Bell says weakly. "I've loved every second I've had with you, but... I think it's time for me to go."
"Bell! Don't say something like that!" Lulu shouts as she picks up her God Arc, switching it to pistol mode she shoots the two Aragami. "I... I'll save you!"
"Lulu, please try to be less cold to the people around you. Open up and show your feelings a bit more... Especially to your friends..."
"Bell..." Lulu feels her eyes grow moist as she continues to shoot at the Aragami, but it has no effect.
"Don't talk like that, man! You'll live!" Zeke shouts as he lunges at one of the Aragami and hammers it in the paws.
"Zeke... Most of the time you were annoying, and you made a lot of noise, but I loved spending time with you and beating you in the shooting competitions."
"Bell... You bastard..." Zeke begins to cry as he dodges the attack of one of the Aragami.
"Bell... You've made up your mind, haven't you?" Hugo says a little mockingly as he takes aim at one of the Aragami and shoots him.
"You know me better than anyone, and you know what I want, don't you?"
"Knowing that doesn't make the pain any less..." Hugo picks up a light grenade and throws it at the Aragami. The two Aragami shield their eyes from the sudden light that has appeared. Hugo catches up with Lulu and Zeke and starts running away.
"What are you doing? We need to help Bell!" Lulu screams as tears pour from her eyes.
"Let go of me Hugo!" Zeke punches Hugo in the back. "I have to go there!"
Hugo doesn't answer, he just keeps running in silence as tears fall from his eyes. Bell sighs and looks at the countless Aragami surrounding him. He gives a slight smile and drops his God Arc, accepting his fate.
"Hilda..." Bell looks up and sees the moon shining brightly. "Thank you for buying my possession to be your soldier..." Bell closes his eyes and the Aragami advance against him. Roaring and pointing their claws and teeth to devour him. "But... I think my time has come..."
An icy breeze blows past Bell and everything around him goes dark. He felt his surroundings as if there was a void around him. He felt nothing, no thirst, no heat, no hunger, no sleep, nothing. He couldn't feel anything.
PAUSE
Gradually, Bell felt a breeze pass across his face. A little confused, he slowly opens his eyes, his vision still blurred, he narrows his eyes to try to see better. Seeing that everything is clear, he realizes that it is daytime. Looking up, he confirms that it is indeed daytime. Turning his attention forward, he sees several people. Many more people than he has ever met in his entire life. But they're not just people, they have animal parts, armor, strange clothes and... They all look... Peaceful.
"What... What happened? Where am I?" Bell mutters as he realizes the thousands of people around him.
