Chapter 7: The Tree of Harmony
At the Tree of Harmony, a line of Critters are entering the place with the announcement sign, "Mayor Bunny's 5th Mayor Anniversary."
Guarding the entrance are the Code Byters made by Twitter User UnknowTMX.
"The party poopers better not try and get in this time," said GEARRY. dll.
"Yeah, this time. We won't let them slip by and ruin this wonderful occasion," said REX-CEPTION.
Suddenly, sixteen shadows came before the Code Byters.
They seem surprised when Violet Voltspark says, "Say, we never saw you before, but the outfits... really rad."
"Come on and have a good time," said Lag-bit, lifting the velvet rope.
Inside the Tree of Harmony's open-air terrace, everyone is partying. But then they take notice of the shadows. When coming into the party, the lighting reveals the Smiling Critters and Nightmare Critters in Teen Clothes made by Twitter user, alo_inky.
"Who's having a good time?!" KickinChicken yelled.
Everyone else cheers as they go back to partying.
"Ugh, these clothes are feeling tight on my waist," CatNap said, pulling on the chain of his pants.
"Hey, do these pants make my hips look big?" DogDay check his hips.
"Heh, yep, including your rear," Baba Chops teased while blushing at DogDay's appearance.
"What's wrong with letting your waist get tightened? It brings out the figure of the body," Rabie Baby said, blushing at getting a good look at CatNap's look.
"We must admit, you Smiling Freaks sure know how to clean yourself up for a party," said Icky Licky.
"Same with you, Nightmare Creeps. I never guessed the outfits work for you," said Hoppy Hopscotch.
"But why does my outfit have to be flurrying?" CraftyCorn is holding her dress up.
Simon Smoke looked away, blushing, and said, "Craftybaby, remember, never lift your skirt. It makes you look like a stripper."
"I don't get why it is necessary to wear clothes. Honestly, I don't find myself as a skirt girl," said PickyPiggy.
But then the Smiling Critters and Nightmare Critters' shadows change into Frowning Critters and Dream Critters.
"Because it helps with the plan we came up with," IckyPiggy said.
"And what better way then Critters distracting Critters by having them wear clothes," said Virginie.
"That's true. Now go over the plan again," Bubba Bubbaphant said.
"Okay, with Dogpressed's Shadow Magic, we can sneak into the party by hiding in your shadows. And once you take us to the elevator to Sky Lounge, we'll go in to find the evidence," said Dumbba Dumbbaphant.
"While we do that, the Nightmare Critters will sing a song, and the Smiling Critters will dance to it to distract everyone, including Bunzo. Bunzo doesn't like it when some Critter in clothes to take the spotlight," said Ben Horns.
"It's 100% failure-free. The elevator should be close by," said CatFeine.
"I still can't get over you becoming part of our shadows," said Touille.
"It's nice and peaceful in here," said Dogpressed.
"It feels very light and warm. And nothing can hurt us when we're in the shadows," said Sally Sodden
"Get us to the elevator! We got to make this fast," said UniqueCorn.
"It'd be bad if someone caught you talking to us. They'll think you're crazy," said Floppy FlopZee.
"Excuse me," said a voice.
The Frowning and Dream Critters' shadow shapes quickly turned back into the Smiling and Nightmare Critters' shadows.
Bunzo Bunny comes over with Tibbz and MothFlare.
"Hello, you must be Mayor Bunny. Nice to meet you," said Bobby BearHug.
"Likewise, I'm sure. But I have never seen Critters like you before. Are you new?" said Bunzo.
"That's right. We came here after our travels and heard that a special party was being hosted at the Tree of Harmony. As party animals, we can't ignore it," said Allister Gator.
"Then you must have great tastes. Judging by your clothes, you have been somewhere as cultured as I. Have a good time, but remember, it's my celebration party."
"Isn't partying all about having fun? Celebrating something like your reign as Mayor should be recognized, but the appreciation of it should be shown by having a good time. Am I right?" Poe said.
"Watch your tone," said Tibbz.
"Now, Tibbz. They are right. Having a good time helps the one person it's being hosted for and makes it even better," said Bunzo.
"If we have your permission, Mayor Bunny, my friends and I would like to do a karaoke song in your honor," said DogDay.
"Is that so? Well, I don't mind at all. MothFlare, tell the musicians at once."
"Yes, Mayor Bunny," said MothFlare before flying away.
"We like to look around the place before performing," said CatNap.
"Okay. But the Sky Lounge is currently off limits," said Bunzo, leaving with Tibbz.
Once they were gone, the Smiling and Nightmare Critters' shadows turned back into the shapes of Frowning Critters and Dreaming Critters.
"Close call," said WimpinChickin.
"I know. Thanks to Dogpressed's shadow magic, we can hide easily," said Easy Peasy.
"What you guys waiting for?! Get us to the elevator," said Groddy GrudgeBear.
"Groddy, don't be mean," said Lee.
The Smiling Critters and Nightmare Critters started walking and looking around to find the elevator.
"If I'm correct, the elevator may be labeled with Sky Louge and behind a golden door," said Matt Mako.
"Is that it over there?" Maggie Mako pointed out to it.
The Smiling and Nightmare Critters see it guarded by Luke MeowLuck made by MOB Games an April Fool's Joke.
"It figures that someone would guard the one entrance to the Sky Lounge. Rabie, can you use your Vampiric Charm on this guy?" Bliss Teen asks.
"I got it, Blissy," said Rabie, walking forward.
"What rotten luck. I wish I were on the dance floor," Luke MeowLuck sighed.
"Hello, kitty," Rabie came over.
Rabie glows pink to indicate she's using her Vampiric Charm. Luke became so charmed that he blushed red and wagged his tail.
"Oh, hello… I'm Luke MeowLuck. Are you new in Party Peninsula?" Luke said.
"That's right. My name is Rabie Baby, handsome."
When she winked at him, Luke's heart began to pound. He said, "I appreciate the compliment, but I never thought a lovely girl like yourself would think I'm handsome."
"How can I not mention your good looks? Are you busy at the moment?" Rabie fluttered her eyes.
"It's a shame for me to say, but yes. I have to guard this door while everyone else has fun."
Rabie took his hand, pulled him away from the door, and said, "Everyone deserves to have fun, including Luke. In fact, my friends and I are going to do a karaoke song soon. Will you be there when I perform?"
Luke steamed up, rubbed the back of his head, and said, "Of course, I will, Rabie. Besides, everyone respects the Mayor's wishes. I'm sure no one would go in the Sky Lounge."
"Great. See you on the dance floor, Luky."
Luke giggled and stumbled away.
Rabie said, "Come on over, gang. What did you think, Moonkitty?"
"I say you melted his heart into mush. The poor guy. You put too much effort in that magic you displayed," said CatNap, as he and the rest came over.
"Aw, you seem jealous. You want me to use it on you, Moonkitty?"
"I'd rather not end up like that poor cat whom you played his heart."
"Poo, I really want to see your reaction."
"I think we should've told you this. We can't use our magic against each other. If we do, bad things will happen," said CatFeine.
"Like what?" DogDay asks.
When Rabie tries to use Vampire Charm on CatNap, she gets a static shock that stops her.
"That's what happens. And it really hurts," said Dogpressed.
"Darn! Then that means I won't be able to charm CatNap that easily," Rabie thought.
"Disappointment is a daily occurrence." Baba hugs Rabie to comfort her.
"No one is looking. You guys can slip away," said Bubba.
"Stick to the plan and wish us luck," Ben said.
The Frowning Critters and Dream Critters use their shadow shapes to slip underneath the door so the Smiling and Nightmare Critters' shadows can return.
"Good luck and stay alive. Now, it's time to show these Critters how to go down for real," said Kickin.
"Oh, yeah! To the stage," said Icky.
"I'm ready to sing my heart," said Maggie.
"And I'm ready to dance my heart," said Bobby.
