However…
A darkness has come to Earth.
A darkness that had once invaded the planet, driven away, and yet has returned to lay waste to the planet.
This is the beginning of a dark moment in history.
A dark moment that can only be dispelled by the light held by the people with brave, and rightful hearts.
At a district road of Tokyo, there is the Card Capital 2.
This is the card shop which is the second store acquired by the "Card Capital" brand, which is owned by Tokura Misaki. The shop is managed by Misaki's uncle and previous manager of the original Card Capital shop, Nitta Shin. The shop is renowned to have many cardfighters come and go, among the few were cardfighters with great skills and have become famous over the years.
In the shop, there are people from varying ages who have come to visit the shop. Whether it is to buy new cards, have friendly games against friends and new people, or take on G-Quests to have more fun, everyone have come for one reason and that is to have fun.
Currently stationed by the cashier counter is Shindou Chrono, the Gear Chronicle cardfighter who is a Generation Master and the former Singularity of Earth to Cray. Two years have gone and passed since the incident with the Diffriders and Gyze, the young teen had gone through many things over the passing years, but he had done so well with the help of his friends and family member.
"thank you." Chrono said as he waved goodbye to some kids who had just bought some booster packs and are now leaving the store. He sighs a bit before he turns and sweatdrops when he sees so many more kids lining up at the cashier and getting ready to buy the booster packs that they picked. "next please…"
Chrono is now working hard in his part time job in the store, the young man doing his best to help spread the love of Vanguard to everyone, even though he always gets tired from doing it.
During the afternoon and on a lunch break, Chrono is found sitting down on a chair near the G Quest machine. The young man had placed down his stripped off shop apron to the side and then sighs loudly because he just finished a rush of customers buying booster packs and cards.
"ah, I'm so tired…" Chrono spoke out as he uses a small towel to wipe off some sweat from his forehead.
As Chrono was trying to relax, someone came behind and pressed a cold bottle of green tea to his right cheek which made him jolt before he quickly turned to see that his highschool friends; Okazaki Kumi and Shouji Kazuma are standing behind him.
"yahoo~! Shindou-kun! great work today~!" Kumi said with a smile while handing the bottle of tea to Chrono.
"Okazaki…and Kazuma. When did you guys come in?" Chrono asks a bit surprised at the sight of his two school friends.
"we were here just 30 minutes ago." Kazuma said while pocketing his hands. "When we came in, you were too busy with managing the cashier that you didn't even notice us calling you."
"yeah, when we called out to you. You told us that you'll be with us in just a minute or two." Kumi added in after giggling.
"sorry, I guess I was too caught up at work." Chrono said as he twists open the bottle's cap, took a sip, and sighs in satisfaction to taste the cold liquid coming down his throat. He sighs again before he looks at the two. "so? What brings you two here?"
"just had time on my hands and thought I come here for a visit or two." Kazuma replied and then shrugs his shoulders. "though I'm trying to get some alone time from my brother and all."
"me too" Kumi replied before smiling a bit. "though I was just in the neighborhood to buy doughnuts from the nearby bakery."
"figures…" Chrono sweatdrops.
"still, I'm surprised that there are this many customers coming into the store." Kazuma said. "there's not going to be a tournament event or anything, right?"
"not now, but there's one coming at Dragon Empire Branch at the weekend." Chrono replied after taking a few gulps of the tea. "the Super Vanguard Challenge."
"ah, I heard about that." Kumi said. "The event's participants will be randomly grouped to form a team of three and participate in several challenges together, right?"
"yeah, and the winner will get special prizes too." Chrono added in before he had a flashback of reading the event's information when he went for a visit at the Dragon Empire Branch. "though it was made up last minute by Mamoru-san and the others."
"i guess those guys are running out of ideas, huh?" Kazuma said while crossing his arms.
The group chattered for the passing time, either it would be about the upcoming vanguard event, or school, or anything that comes into mind.
"now that I think about it, Tokoha-chan is going to participate in a tournament, isn't she?" Kumi spoke out and Chrono with Kazuma made a noise to reply. "remember? The Euro Special Vanguard Tournament?" she takes out her Smartphone, did some finger tapping on the screen, and then showed the screen to the two who sees that she opened a blog about an upcoming vanguard tournament located in Paris. "Tokoha-chan was selected as a Special guest fighter who would do an opening fight against an invited Guest Fighter."
"ah, now that you mentioned it." Chrono said while politely taking the Smartphone and scrolling down to read the blog. He reads the content of the blog and then finds a photograph poster image of Tokoha facing against one of Europe's top card fighter and that is Olivier Gaillard. "right, she's going to do an opening fight against Olivier Gaillard."
"Who is that?" Kazuma asks while Chrono hands the Smartphone back to Kumi.
"Olivier Gaillard is one of Europe's top cardfighter." Nitta Shin made an appearance as the shop manager came popping into the scene. "alongside with Kai-kun and Philip Neve-kun, he's basically a huge contender for Europe's true number 1 cardfighter. He's very strong and shouldn't be underestimated."
"You think Tokoha stand a chance against him, Shin-san?" Chrono asks the man who hums while scratching his chin.
"Tokoha-kun has been getting strong over the years, so I believe that she'll be able to contend against Olivier-kun." Shin said with a smile. "we just have to believe in her ability."
"I believe in her!" Kumi said with a pumped up expression on her face. "Tokoha-chan is strong after all!"
"That's an understatement." Chrono said with a smile before he smirks a bit. "but if she did lose, I'm going to have a word with her after."
"too bad that you can't participate in the tournament like Shion-kun, Chrono-kun." Shin said and Chrono made a surprised yet confused noise. The shop manager then looks a bit surprised. "oh? You didn't know? Shion-kun is leaving for Paris to participate in the tournament as a representative of his school, you know?"
"what?! Really!?" Chrono asks in shock. "since when!?"
"since about a week ago." Kumi said while checking something on her Smartphone before showing a blog to Chrono. The blog holding the content of the tournament as it lists out the strong cardfighters who are participating, one of them being Shion himself. "didn't Shion-kun told you last week, Shindou-kun?"
"I didn't hear about this!" Chrono said while getting off his seat before he checks his Smartphone and he gawked when he sees unread messages from Shion and Tokoha. A few telling him that they are going to participate in the upcoming tournament at paris and a few asking if he would like to participate. "You've got to be kidding me…"
"You must've forgotten to check since you've been busy with school lately." Kazuma said after shaking his head. He then checks his own Smartphone and is reading the blog by himself. "and with how the deadline for the tournament's registration was last night. It's now impossible for you to even participate, ain't it?"
"You've got to be kidding me~!" Chrono cried out in despair as he cursed his foolishness for not checking his Smartphone from time to time. "why didn't I check my phone for the past few days!?"
"n-now now. There's always next time…" Shin tried to ease Chrono's despair.
"When is there going to be a next time? This competition is only held for higschool students, you know?" Kazuma spoke out and Chrono slumped on his seat while turning white and looking defeated.
"S-Shindou-kun!" Kumi cried out.
"Stay strong!" Shin exclaimed, not liking to see his former teammate/ friend's son in such a state.
As this was going on, Asukawa Taiyou and his friend, Moriyama Hiroki came into the shop.
"hello." "anyone up for a game?" the two called out before seeing the little scene nearby. "what's going on?"
Meanwhile, at a cardshop located a few roads down to where Card Capital 2 is.
The shop is at a quite desolate place as there's not many people going around the place, however there are many people inside but they are all thug looking individuals considering that their outfits are like punk riders and all.
Currently, there's an ongoing cardfight occurring where one thug who seems to be the leader is facing off against a black cloaked individual whose identity is concealed with a white oval shaped mask that covers the face but leaves the hair flowing out from the back.
This cloaked individual is a female adult considering how this person looks slim and feminine, tall, and has long, flowing light blue hair that reaches down to her waist.
The current game is that the thug and the masked woman has 4-5 damage.
On the thug's field, he is playing the Kagero clan as his main vanguard is Dauntless Dominate Dragon while his rearguards were all locked due to his foe's Link Joker Clan. There are only 4 cards in his hands as they are a Dragon Monk; Genjo, Demonic Dragon Mage; Kimnara Wyvern Guard; Barri; and another Dauntless Dominate Dragon. He has a few G Zones cards flipped open as he has the option for G-Guard.
On the masked woman's field, she has Star-Vader, Venom Dancer that is in Legion with Star-Vader, Sword Viper. Her front left and right rearguards are Furious Claw Star-Vader, Niobium, and the back right and left rearguards are Demon Claw Star-Vader, Lanthanum and Unrivaled Star-Vader, Radon. The rearguard behind his vanguard is Star-Vader, Crumble Mare. The cards in her hands were none.
The turn is that of the woman as four of her rear guards are all rest and only her middle back rearguard and her vanguard are left standing.
The leader thug looks at his foe with a slightly disgruntled face as he sees how his field is basically unplayable due to the locked cards.
"My Vanguard attacks." The woman spoke as she reaches a hand to flip Crumble Mare sideways which provides a boost for her Legion Units that is flipped for an attack. "Crumble Mare's skill increases my Legion's power by +4000."
"The Legion's Power is 30000!" "he got to guard or she might get a critical trigger!" "guard it, boss!" the spectators shouted out to their leader who clicked his tongue before he discarded his Dauntless Dominate Dragon to use Wyvern Guard, Barri for a perfect guard placed upon the Guardian Circle.
"your attack ain't going through!" the thugs' leader said with a smirk at his foe who didn't made any reaction whatsoever.
"Twin Drive, check." The masked woman checks for her Vanguard's drive check as she flips the first card open to get Star-Vader, Paradigm Shift Dragon, and then flips another card to get the same copy. "Double Critical Triggers"
"hah! It's useless to get those triggers now!" the leader thug smirks and laughs. "it's my turn now and I'm going to..!"
"I give both effects to my two front rear guards." The masked woman spoke out as she gives all the trigger effects to her two front rearguards.
"haha! She's wasted!" "if those were stand triggers, she might've stood a chance!" "w-wait! This is bad!" "hah?! The heck are you talking about!? The boss got this in the bag already!" "don't you guys know her Legion's skill!?" the spectators chattered while the masked woman did a counter blast and points a finger at her vanguard units.
"Legion skill activates. I can stand my rear-guards equal to the number of Locked Cards you have on your field." The masked woman spoke and the thug leader looks shocked as all the rested rearguards flips up for a stand.
"i-I can still!" the boss thug looks at his hand and could only sweat because he literally could only fully guard against one attack with the help of a generation guard but considering that both Niobium have extra criticals, he thought otherwise. "d-damnit!"
"my Radon attacks with the boost from Lanthanum. It skills activate and power up." The masked woman flips the right rearguards that goes on the attack against the boss thug.
"I-I drop Genjo to do a Generation Guard with Flame Wing Steel Beast, Denial Griffin!" the thug exclaimed while doing the Generation Guard. "I activate its skill to retire your attacking rearguard!"
The masked woman takes and places Radon to the drop zone before she goes and flips the back left Lanthanum to give boost to Niobium.
"attack." The masked woman spoke as her last Rearguard goes for the last attack with the power of 36000 and two criticals.
The thug boss grits his teeth as he only had one card in his hand which doesn't have an enough shield to block such an attack.
"I-I can't guard!" the thug boss as the attack went through and damaged his Vanguard. He then looks at his deck while reaching a hand to it. "b-but I still got a chance with a Heal Trigger!" he picks the first card and flips it. "Damage Trigger, Check!" the first card is Dragon Knight, Nehalem. He grits his teeth and checks the second damage card. "second check!" the card was flipped and it's a Dauntless Dominate Dragon. "n-no triggers!?"
The cards were placed to the damage zone as the thugs' boss was defeated.
"t-the boss lost!?" "n-no way! He's a Grade 3 fighter, isn't he!?" "w-what's going to happen to us now that the boss got defeated!?" the spectators chattered while the masked woman collects her cards before picking up the boss thug's vanguard card.
"Dauntless Dominate Dragon, is it?" the masked woman spoke while holding the card up and then twirls it with one finger. "even though you have a brash personality, I believe you make a fitting pawn."
"pawn? The hell are you talking about, lady!?" the boss thug said as he looks angry at the woman. "screw the fight! I'm going to beat you up and!" he was about to use violence but he stopped and became shocked when he sees his Dauntless Dominate Dragon card just glowing in a darkish red aura as it is getting twirled by the masked woman. "w-what is that?"
"from this moment forward, you and the rest of your underlings will be working under me." the woman spoke as she twirls the card a few more times before she grasped it with two fingers and raise it up, the darkish red glowing card soon emanates a darkish purple light that soon burst with black flames.
The black flames bursts inside the shop as the thugs were shocked and panicking to see the fire that mysteriously appeared.
"w-what's this!?" "f-fire!" "let's get out of here!" the spectators began to panic as many tried to run out of the shop through the front door but were unable as the black fire spreads and blocks their path.
The masked woman just stood with the card raised in her hand, the black flames spreading as the Dauntless Dominate Dragon's card image is changed with that of a white and black sinister version of it.
"w-what are you doing!?" the thug's boss cried out as he sees the masked woman just holding the card up before holding it towards him, the card bursting with black flames that soon takes form of a large black flaming silhouette with glowing yellow eyes. "ah…ahh…ahhhh!" he begins to screams as the burning silhouette let out a roar while coming straight at him.
Upon the outside of the shop, everything was quiet and peaceful as none of the chaos inside had spread out at all.
Upon the next day, at the Harumi High school.
Chrono is found walking in the school's hallway, the young man yawning as he just arrived to school after almost over sleeping.
"Mikuru-san really needs to stop pulling all-nighters…" Chrono mumbled before he yawned again as he couldn't get sleep well the night before because of how his aunt had woken him up in the middle of the night and that is caused by how her work was overloading her already tired brain. "though I'm glad that it was only the night before and not tonight."
Chrono keeps on walking before he arrives to his classroom of his 3rd year in highschool, the young man entered as he gets some morning greetings from some friends which he returned before he goes to his seat where he placed his belongings down.
"Morning, Shindou-kun." Kumi came and greeted the red haired teen. "you look tired."
"my aunt pulled an all-nighter that she dragged me into doing as well." Chrono said before he did a yawn. "so tired."
"well, I hope you're not fully tired." Kumi said as she reaches into her pocket and takes out a folded poster that she unfolded to him. "because I want to ask you about this."
"about this?" Chrono checks the poster as it is a poster for the upcoming Dragon Empire Vanguard Event which is hiring volunteer fighters. "Volunteer Fighters wanted?"
"just like how I once volunteered to join on the Dragon Empire Branch's special event a few years back, they're asking for some volunteer fighters to help in the event." Kumi said with a smile. "I'm joining it again because I've heard that they're going to give special rewards to us for volunteering in it."
"heh~. That's something." Chrono said as he reads the info in the poster. "so we'd be the staff for the whole event and we need to be the obstacles to block the participants in it. I might as well do this then being a participant." He then checks the bottom of the poster to see a QR code for online registration to which he did with his phone. "it'd be nice to do this from time to time."
"really? I would've thought that Shindou-kun would've liked to participate in the event and all." Kumi asks while looking a bit surprised as Chrono is doing the online registration.
"I wanted to but considering how busy I've been with my part time job and school, I'm going to sit this one out." Chrono said as he filled in his information in the online registration. He then looks a bit depressed while smiling lifelessly. "and I've been trying to take my mind off from it because of how I let the chance of participating the Paris Vanguard Tournament slip by because of how I didn't check my phone at all…"
"I-I see…" Kumi said with a sweatdrop behind her head. "w-well, let's do our best to give the challengers a good time!"
"Yeah, let's do it." Chrono said before he hears the bell rings and that signals the start of school. "ah, the bell."
"Morning." Kazuma soon came in as he went in the class and nearly came in late.
"Hey, Kazuma. you're almost late again." Chrono told the teen.
"Shut up, I'm still so sleepy." Kazuma replied as he went pass Chrono and Kumi before going straight for his seat.
"He never changed at all, huh?" Chrono said while Kumi smiles and chuckles.
meanwhile at a park a few blocks away from the school.
Walking along the road are Ishida Naoki and his highschool friend; Komoi Shingo, both are just going around on the peaceful day without any trouble whatsoever.
"What a nice day." Naoki said as he looks at the clear blue sky. "nice day for a walk."
"You say that even though you were just lazing around at that café." Shingo said while adjusting his glasses. "What were you even doing there before I arrived?"
"just playing with the café's cat and all." Naoki replied and Shingo just sighs in response.
"as usual." Shingo said.
The two were just hanging around as they had nothing to do other than to be volunteer participating fighters for the Dragon Empire Branch's upcoming Vanguard event.
Naoki and Shingo walks around before they stopped near a park where there are people of all ages going around, the two stopping because they see a group of teens playing Vanguard together.
"it's nostalgic to see them playing together." Naoki said and Shingo nodded in agreement. "it felt like yesterday that we were still at Miyaji School's Vanguard Club."
"with Sendou-kun, Tokura-san, and…" Shingo spoke out as he fondly remembers his highschool days but then smiles a bit sadly when he remembered the last female member of the club who left. "Those were the days…"
"yeah, definitely." Naoki nodded in agreement.
The two friends watched the teens play Vanguard before they heard a scream nearby, they along with others heard the scream and turned to the source which is from a teenage boy who seems very scared.
"g-guys help! There's thugs here!" the teenager cried out to the other as they are friends.
"what's this?" Naoki asks as he and Shingo looks on and sees a large group of thugs in the park as they were smirking while looking rather evil. "thugs? In a park? Are you serious?"
"this look very serious." Shingo said while adjusting his glasses.
"come on~! Let's play Vanguard!" one of the thugs spoke out while holding up a vanguard deck that is just glowing a darkish red aura. "let's play!"
"n-no way! I saw what you did to my friends! You made them join you and for some reason, they look so evil!" the scared teenager cried out as amongst the thugs were teenagers who weren't looking like any thugs but they look rather evil and all. "Just what did you do to them?!"
"We made them see the darkness." The one thug spoke while smirking. "They're one of us!"
The thugs and the evil teens began to chant 'one of us' as the group began to go straight at the group of teens who started to become scared. They looked like they were about to scream for help and that help came thanks to Naoki and Shingo who came and stood before the group of thugs.
"hold it right there!" Naoki shouted while swinging out a hand towards the big group. "I don't know what is going on here and all, but I can tell a group of punks when I see one!"
"well it was obvious from watching and all, but I agree with my friend here." Shingo said while adjusting his glasses. "you people are bad influence and you are even more badder on the fact that you are using Vanguard to use that badness too." He then squinted his eyes. "as former members of the Miyaji School's Vanguard Club, we will not let you abuse the use of Vanguard for such evil!"
The group of bad thugs didn't do anything but just smirk rather evilly at Naoki and Shingo, each of them getting out vanguard decks which were just glowing a darkish red aura.
"Wait." A voice called out from nowhere as everyone heard it and they soon turned towards the source which is revealed to be coming from the masked and cloaked woman who made an appearance while walking behind the group of thugs who soon made way for her to come forward. "I shall be the one to deal with this one."
"you're their boss, huh?" Naoki said while hardening his gaze. "you got some weird get up and all, but I can tell that you're just a bad person considering that you're a boss of thugs, lady." He then takes out his own vanguard deck as Eradicator, Gauntlet Buster Dragon is visible on the bottom. "if you want a fight, you're going to get one!"
"Ishida Naoki, you're one of Sendou Aichi's close friends, aren't you?" the woman spoke out as this made Naoki and Shingo look at her with sceptic faces. "along with Tokura Misaki and others as well."
"if I am, what is it to you?" Naoki replied.
"are you actually aiming to get to Sendou-kun and the others by us?" Shingo asks while looking tense. "if you are thinking that you can try and harm us to get to our friends," he then takes out his vanguard deck that has Covert Demonic Dragon, Magatsu Storm on the bottom. "then you are wrong."
"We will get to Sendou Aichi after we are done with you first, Ishida Naoki." The woman spoke while taking out a vanguard deck from inside her cloak that she soon discards to reveal herself wearing a white body suit with neon red stripes. "now then, let us fight."
"you really wear some weird get-up, lady." Naoki said while taking out his Fica which he uses to turn into a Vanguard fight table. "but I got to be honest on liking your straight on personality."
With their Fight Table set up, the masked woman and Naoki prepare their starting vanguard card and their hand cards.
"before we start, mind telling us your name?" Naoki asks as the woman's thugs and Shingo were watching by the sidelines, the scared teenagers having left as they didn't want to be near so many bad people.
"my name..." the masked woman spoke before pausing for a moment, she was silent before she reaches a hand to gently touch her starting vanguard card. "my name is Linker, that is all."
"Linker…a weird name." Naoki spoke before he reaches for his starting vanguard card.
"Stand up! Vanguard!" the two chanted in unison before they flipped their starting vanguard card which creates red and purple flash on the fight table. "Ambush Dragon Eradicator, Linchu!" "Involution Star-Vader, Carbon!" the two called out their Grade 0 Vanguard units one by one before the field suddenly burst in darkness and everything becomes that of deep space.

"w-what the!?" Naoki exclaimed as he sees what the field has become.
"isn't this field!" Shingo gasps before he sees the two fighter's vanguard units materializing behind them. "their starting vanguards are!"
"I shall go first." Linker spoke out as she drew a card from her deck and added it to her hand before she picked another card and placed it on top of her starting vanguard. "Ride." The grade 0 Carbon gets enveloped in a purplish red flash before a cyberoid gladiator like Star- Vader unit arises to take its place. "Planet Collapse Star-Vader, Erbium." She then pulls her Grade 0 card in its soul to the back middle rearguard. "Carbon moves to the back."
"hey! Just who are you!?" Naoki exclaimed. "you! You're using the Link Joker and this field! Just who are you!?"
"my name is Linker, that is that." The masked woman replied. "I end my turn."

"if you're going to play it that way.." Naoki spoke before he begins his turn. "my turn! I draw!"
"Ishida! Be careful!" Shingo spoke out. "if you're not careful!"
"I know!" Naoki said as he placed his drawn card to his hand and then looks at Linker with a hard gaze. "but this woman. She's using the Link Joker like in the past!" he glances at the thugs nearby and sees their dark evil eyes. "without a doubt, she Reversed those guys!" he looks back at the field while taking a card from his hand. "that is why I'm going to go all out and win this fight to free them!" he raises the card before slamming it on top of Linchu. "Ride!" the Grade 0 unit disappears and red headed boy wielding a lightning sword appears. "Assault Eradicator, Saikei!" he then pulls Linchu's card from the soul and moves it to the back right rear-guard. "Linchu moves and I call!" he pulls two cards from his hand and then placed them to the front rearguards. "Eradicator, Demolition Dragon!" both lightning dragon units appeared alongside Saikei while roaring with electricity charged up in them. "let's do this!"

Linker sees the three units as the right Demolition Dragon goes for the first attack.
"My right Demolition Dragon skills activates!" Naoki exclaimed. "it gets a plus 3000 power!"
"no guard." Linker spoke as the first attack went through and gave her vanguard a damage in resulting a blast that didn't faze the masked woman. "Damage Trigger check." She checks the damage card from the top of her deck and she gets the same copy as her vanguard. "no trigger."
"Saikei goes for the attack!" Naoki exclaimed as he flips his vanguard card to go for the attack.
"no guard." Linker spoke as Naoki checks for the drive trigger.
"Drive Trigger Check!" he flips the top card and gets Eradicator, Blue Gem Carbuncle which is a draw trigger. "Draw Trigger! Power goes to my left Demolition Dragon and I draw!"
"Damage Trigger check" Linker's vanguard receives the exploding attack as she checks for the second damage and she gets Star-vader, Nebula Captor which is a draw trigger. "Draw Trigger. Power to Erbium, and I draw one card."
"go! Demolition Dragon!" Naoki flips his left Demolition Dragon that goes for the last attack that wasn't guarded.
"Damage Trigger check." Linker checks for the third damage and she receives another draw trigger. "power to my vanguard, and I draw another card."
"turn end." Naoki stated as he finished his turn.
"one turn passed and Ishida-kun is already leading." Shingo said while adjusting his glasses. "if he keeps this up, he can win."
"Stand and Draw." Linker draws a card from her deck before she picks a card and placed it on top of Erbium. "Ride." Her vanguard unit changes into that of another Cyberoid with glowing mechanical claw like hands. "Star-Vader, Crusgabel." She then takes three cards from her hand and place them to her front left and right rearguards along with the back right rearguard. "call." She calls another Crusgabel along with a Furious Claw Star Star-Vader, Niobium and Homing Star-Vader, Fermium as the three units appears on the field. She then flips her back middle rearguard unit and then her vanguard card to go first on the attack. "my vanguard attacks."

"no guard." Naoki said as he isn't going to guard against the vanguard attack.
"Drive Trigger, check." Linker checks the drive trigger and gets the critical trigger; Star-Vader, Paradigm Shift Dragon. "get, critical trigger. Critical to my vanguard and the power to my rear-guard, Crusgabel."
Naoki watches the vanguard come and deliver a red beam claw striking attack on his vanguard who grunts in pain. He then checks the damage trigger.
"damage trigger check!" Naoki flips the top two cards of his deck one by one and gets Eradicator Demolition Dragon and Eradicator, Angercharge Dragon. "no trigger."
"Crusgabel's skill activates. At the end of the battle that this unit attacked a vanguard, I counterblast and discard a card from my hand." Linker spoke as she flipped one of her damage zone cards face down and then discards Star-Vader, Mobius Breath Dragon to her drop zone before taking the ten cards on the top of her deck. "I look at the top ten cards on my deck and.." she checks the cards before she picks two and reveals them. "choose two Reverse Units to be added to my hand." The two units being Deadliest Beast Deity, Ethics Buster "Reverse" and Cleanup Celestial, Ramiel "Reverse".
"R-Reverse unit!?" Naoki and Shingo exclaimed in shock as the Reverse units are evil personified units that had only appeared during a past event of their lives and they thought that those units were gone forever.
"my rear-guard Niobium attacks with the boost from Fermium" Linker stated as Niobium charges straight for Saikei.
"I guard with Eradicator, Yellow Gem Carbuncle!" Naoki exclaimed as he guard with a critical trigger unit as the furry fox unit appears before getting struck down by Niobium's claws.
"my rear-guard Crusgabel attacks." Linker flips her last standing rearguard that jumps and dives down to deliver a strike at Saikei as Naoki didn't guard against this attack.
"Damage Trigger, check!" Naoki checks the damage trigger and gets Fertility Eradicator, Youki. "Heal Trigger?" he grits his teeth as he got a bad timing to have a heal trigger. He then looks at Linker who did another counterblast and discarded another card from her hand as she activated the rearguard Crusgabel's skill. "even If I guarded against that attack…"
"I add Silver Thorn Dragon Queen, Luquier "Reverse" and Dark Dimensional Robo, "Reverse" Daiyusha to my hand." Linker added the two Reverse units to her hand. "Turn end."
"She now has four Reverse Units in her hand." Shingo said as he gulped. "just who is this person and why would she have those units…"
"having the Link Joker, Reversing people, and have the Reverse Units…" Naoki said as he started his turn after standing all his units and then drawing a card from his deck. "I don't know how it's possible for you to have them and everything, but I can tell that I really can't lose to you!" he then raises a card from his hand then slams it to his vanguard circle. "Ride!" Saikei disappears and a taller Eradicator unit appears. "Assassin Sword Eradicator, Susei!" he then flips the vanguard card after boosting it with his back rearguard unit. "Susei attacks!"

"no guard." Linker replied as Susei disappears and reappears behind her Vanguard Crusgabel with his sword readied.
"Drive Trigger, check!" Naoki checks the drive trigger and he gets Eradicator, Yellow Gem Carbuncle. "Critical Trigger! Power to my right Demolition Dragon! Critical to my vanguard!" Susei strikes his sword down upon the Vanguard Crusgabel which receives the damage.
"Damage Trigger check." Linker checks the two critical amount of Damage as she checks the first card and gets Recollection Star-Vader, Tellurium. "Heal Trigger. I heal one damage." She takes a card from her damage zone and placed it to her drop zone before she placed the heal trigger to the damage zone. She then checks for the second damage. "second check." The card was flipped and she gets Strike Star Vader, Krypton. "no trigger."
"Susei's skill activates! Counterblast!" Naoki exclaimed as he flips two cards from his damage zone and then points a finger at the rear-guard Crusgabel. "I retire your rearguard Crusgabel!"
Linker takes the card and then placed it to her drop zone.
"now my right Demolition Dragon attacks!" Naoki shouted as his right front rearguard unit charges electricity into its horns and unleash two blasts of lightning that flew straight upon Linker's vanguard.
"no guard." Linker replied as her Vanguard gets hit with the blast of lightning. She then checks for the damage trigger. "check." She flips the card open and gets Unrivaled Star-Vader, Radon. "no trigger."
"my left Demolition Dragon attacks your rearguard!" Naoki said as his last unit didn't have enough power to attack her vanguard, therefore he resorts to attack her rearguard instead.
"no guard." Linker said as Niobium gets blasted with the lightning before disappearing into reddish black sparkles.
"my turn ends." Naoki declared the end of his turn and the start of Linker's turn.
"damage is now 5-3." Shingo said as he looks at each fighter's hand. "Ishida has the least cards in his hands because of him trying to defeat his foe who has more cards in her hands than him." He gulped while reaching for his phone and sending a message to his friends. "I need to let the others know."
"my turn. Stand and draw." Linker stand all of her units and then draws a card from her deck before picking a card that she raises into the air. "with a sword forged from a collapsed star! End those who dare stand in my way! Ride!" she slams the card to her vanguard as Crusgabel disappears and a Grade 3 Cyberoid unit wielding a single sword made of energy arises. "Edict Star-Vader, Halcion!"
Naoki got himself ready as he felt that his foe is about to go very serious on him.
"I call." Linker takes a card from her hand and placed it to her front right rearguard. "Star-Vader, Cold Death Dragon." The Grade 2 Cyber Dragon unit appears in a flash and roars loudly. "skill activates." She flips a card from her damage zone face down before pointing a finger towards Naoki. "I lock the top card of your deck."
Naoki clicks his tongue as he looks at his deck and sees the top card flying to his back left rearguard circle as a locked card that has red static dancing on it.
"Carbon's skill activates." Linker takes and inserts the grade 0 unit to her vanguard's soul. "I place him into the soul and then search my deck to call one grade 1 or less Star-Vader unit." She held a hand to the top of her deck as the cards shuffled before one flew into her grasp then getting placed behind Halcion who has Erbium appearing behind him. "Planet Collapse Star-Vader, Erbium."
"Ishida! Get ready!" Shingo cried out to his friend. "I don't know why but that unit just gives me the bad vibe! Be prepared against it!"
"I know!" Naoki replied as he watches Linker take four cards from her hand before revealing them to be the Reverse units. "I definitely can tell a bad attack coming when I see one!"
"Call." Linker placed the four cards to the playing field as Reverse Daiyusha and Ethics Buster Reverse are on the front left and right rearguard, Cold Death Dragon and Fermium gets retired to make place for on the back left and right rear guard where Luquier Reverse and Ramiel Reverse were placed. The evil units made an appearance on the field as they just unleashed dark and evil power.

"This many Reverse Units…" Naoki spoke after seeing the Reverse units appearing on the field. He then made a serious look at Linker. 'but why call this many? Those in the back can't even boost or do anything like this. Yet she called them anyway, why?'
"now, it is time to shroud the world with darkness." Linker spoke before swinging out her right hand that held her cards forward. "Edict Star-Vader, Halcion! Unleash your power to rule the battlefield!" she pulls the hand back and swung her other hand to the side then to the sky. "Limit Break!" upon her command a vanguard circle appears flashing above Halcion who raises his energy beam saber to the sky as the Cyberoid unit creates a burst of dark energy that flows upwards before spreading down upon the four Reverse Units. "Order of the Reverse!"
"w-what's going on!?" Shingo exclaimed in shock as he sees Reverse Daiyusha and Ethics Buster Reverse roaring in power while Ramiel screams and Luquier merely laughs sinisterly.
"Order of the Reverse." Linker spoke out. "all Reverse units on the field becomes Link Joker units and get 5000 shield, and are able to intercept, and boost."
"They can boost and intercept?!" "this is bad!" Naoki and Shingo gasps in shock as they see the four Reverse Units just radiating the dark aura.
"Erbium's skill activates." Linker spoke as the Gladiator Cyberoid unit glows in the darkish red aura. "it receives power +1000 for every Reverse Unit on the field."
"this means that all of her attacks will be over 20000!" Shingo exclaimed in surprise while Naoki grits his teeth.
"First attack, Ramiel Reverse boosts Reverse Daiyusha and attack." Linker said after flipping Ramiel Reverse Card and then doing the same to Reverse Daiyusha card.
"Reverse! Bowgun!" Reverse Daiyusha shouted while wielding a metal bow gun and pulling on the electrical energy string in charging its attack.
"no guard!" Naoki exclaimed as the Dark Dimensional Robo launched its attack that resulted in an explosion upon Susei. He grunts from the blast and then checks the damage. "Damage Trigger check!" he flips the card open and gets Eradicator, Yellow Gem Carbuncle. "Critical Trigger! Power to Susei!"
"Erbium boost Halcion to attack." Linker follows up her attack as her Vanguard jumps and soars in the air above Susei.
"I guard with Eradicator Wyvern Guard, Guld!" Naoki exclaimed as he dropped Eradicator, Blue Gem Carbuncle to do a perfect guard against Halcion's attack by calling Guld who appeared and created a large barrier.
"Twin Drive check." Linker checks for the triggers as she flips the first card on her deck and gets Keyboard Star-Vader, Bismuth which is a Stand Trigger. "get. Stand Trigger. Reverse Daiyusha Stands and power +5000." The unit stands and gets ready for another attack. The fighter then checks for the second trigger. "Second Check." She flips the next card and its Recollection Star-Vader, Tellurium. "Heal Trigger. I heal one damage and power goes to Ethics Buster Reverse."
Halcion clashes against Guld's shield before the unit flies back to its field and gets accompanied by Reverse Daiyusha and Ethics Buster Reverse as both Units goes for their own attack.
"I guard!" Naoki guarded against Reverse Daiyusha' attack with Yellow Gem Carbuncle. The Dark Dimensional Robo's attack got thwarted but Ethics Buster Reverse's attack went through as this attack wasn't guarded. The Reversed Beast Deity Unit delivers a powerful punch at Susei who screams in pain. The fighter grits his teeth before he checks the Damage Trigger. "check!" he flips the card and gets Eradicator, Blue Gem Carbuncle. "Draw trigger! I draw one card!"
"I end my turn." Linker spoke as the two Reverse Units returned to her field.
"in an instant, the damage gets reversed!" Shingo said as the damage is now 4-5. "just who is this person!?"
Naoki grits his teeth as he stands his units and then draw a card from his deck.
'just what is this feeling? I know this person. It feels like I one fought against her some time ago.' Naoki keeps a straight look at Linker. 'just who is she?' he looks at the cards in his hand as he picked out one card. 'I'll get the answer when I beat her!' he then raises the card into the air before slamming it on top of his vanguard unit. "Ride!" Susei gets enveloped in the flash of red light before it disappears and in a flash of lightning appears a large grade 3 red thunder dragon unit. "Eradicator! Gauntlet Buster Dragon!" the unit roars as lightning and thunder were released.

Linker looks at the unit while keeping up her guard.
"i don't know when we met, but I can tell that I won against you before!" Naoki said as he picks a card and reveals it to be Mighty Bolt Dragoon who he soon discards to the drop zone. "let's do this thing!" he then picks a card from his G Zone and raise it into the air before slamming it to his vanguard unit. "Stride Generation!" Gauntlet Buster Dragon roars loudly before the thunder dragon disappears in a flash of lightning and from within it appears a grade 4 Narukami Eradicator unit which appears to be a young man with brown hair and wields weapon clad in bolts of lightning and thunder. "True Eradicator! Aconitum Linchu! And Skill activates!" he did a counterblast and then flips a card from his g zone before sliding his grade 0 Ambush Dragon Eradicator, Linchu into his vanguard soul. "Retire two of your units!"
Linker chooses Ramiel Reverse and Luquier Reverse to retire to the drop zone in accordance with the activated skill. The units in name screams in pain when getting struck from lightning bolts summoned by Acotinum Linchu.
Afterwards Naoki called a unit from his hand as the grade 1 unit named Rising Phoenix appears behind his right Demolition Dragon.

"Rising Phoenix' skill activates! I Soul Blast and Draw!" Naoki exclaimed as he dropped two cards from his soul and drew another card from his deck before he flips the called unit and then the front Right Demolition Dragon. "now Rising Phoenix Boosts my right Demolition Dragon for his attack! go!"
"no guard." Linker replied as Halcion gets blasted with lightning bolts from Demolition Dragon. The masked woman checks the damage trigger and receives a critical trigger. "power to Halcion."
"Aconitum Linchu attacks!" Naoki exclaimed as his vanguard jumps and flies down straight at Halcion.
"Perfect Guard." Linker discards a card from her hand before calling out Barrier Star-Vader, Promethium who appears and creates a large energy shield.
"tch!" Naoki grits his teeth to see his attack getting stopped before he checks the triggers. "Triple Drive!" he flips the first card and gets Critical trigger. "all effect goes to my left Demolition Dragon!" he flips the second card and gets a stand Trigger. "Stand trigger! All effects to my Right Demolition Dragon who stands!" he then reaches to his deck to check the last drive trigger. "final check!" he flips the last card and gets another Critical Trigger. "alright! All effect goes to my right Demolition Dragon!"
"alright! These attacks will without a doubt get through no matter what!" Shingo said with a big smile. "she only has two cards in her hand! You can do this, Ishida!"
"my right Demolition Dragon attacks!" Ishida exclaimed as the unit in name roars while charging electricity upon its horns.
"Generation Guard." Linker drops her heal trigger and calls a large Cyber Golem Unit that had a shield readied. "Death Star-Vader, Demon Maxwell. Skill activates." The G Guard unit swung out its shield forward and creates a large energy barrier. "I lock Erbium. Demon Maxwell gains shield +5000."

Naoki tenses a bit as his attack didn't go through but he has one more unit that can still attack.
"finish this! Demolition Dragon!" Naoki shouted as he flips the left Demolition Dragon that goes for its attack.
"Guard." Linker places a card to her GC as it is Star-Vader, Rejection Dragon who appeared before creating an energy shield that multiplies in number. "Quintet wall."
"w-what!?" Naoki looks in surprise as five more Link Joker units appeared and created a large shield that completely blocked his unit's attack. "Quintet Wall!?"
"to think that she prepared guards against Ishida's attack!" Shingo spoke in surprise as his turn ended with Acotinum Linchu disappearing for Gauntlet Buster Dragon to return in being the Vanguard and his Locked Unit becomes unlock to reveal itself to be Eradicator, Angercharge Dragon.
"If this is the extent of your abilities, then capturing your shard will be too easy." Linker said as she stands and draws a card from her deck to start her own turn. She then swung a hand forward and declared in a loud voice. "Final Turn!"
"Final turn!?" Naoki gasps before he prepares himself.
"Generation Zone, Released!" Linker stated as she slams down another copy of Halcion to the drop zone in order to pay the cost for a Stride. She then swung out a hand to the side and raised it into the air. "From the cold depth of the universe! Arise and unleash catastrophe to the fools before you! Stride Generation!" Halcion raises his energy sword into the air before he gets enveloped in a pillar of purplish dark light and from within it appears a large grade 4 Cyber Dragon unit wielding a large cannon rifle and is accompanied with more hi-tech weaponry. "Death Star-Vader! Glueball Avalanche!"
Naoki grits his teeth as he knew that he will be in trouble upon seeing the unit.
"Glueball Avalanche's skill activates! Soul blast!" Linker pays the cost of her Vanguard's skill as she discards a card from the unit's soul before flipping a G Zone card open. She then points two fingers at the two Demolition Dragons units. "Lock!"

Naoki looks at his front rearguards as they roared in pain before they become locked.
"Glueball Avalanche gives all front row units power +2000 for every locked units on your field!" Linker stated as her three front units roared in power.
"t-this is bad! Ishida!" Shingo cried out while Naoki merely watches the units coming to attack in disbelief and surprise.
"go! Ethics Buster Reverse!" Linker commanded as the Reversed Beast Deity unit roars before jetting straight at Naoki's Vanguard.
"guard!" Naoki called out Conquering Eradicator, Doukkasei who defended against the attack before disappearing into red sparkles.
"Reverse Daiyusha!" Linker followed it up as the Dark Dimensional Robo readied its Reverse Bow Gun.
"guard!" Naoki calls Dust Storm Eradicator, Toko to defend.
"Glueball Avalanche, attacks." Linker flips her Vanguard unit as the G4 unit readies its hi-tech weaponry that are all aimed at Gauntlet Buster Dragon.
"guard!" Naoki then calls all three cards in his hands to create a 41000 shield.
"if she doesn't get any triggers here, Ishida still got a chance!" Shingo said as he pleaded to the gods that Linker doesn't get a single trigger to power up her vanguard.
"futile." Linker spoke before reaching to her deck. "Triple Drive." She flips the first card open and gets a stand trigger. "get, heal trigger." She drops one card from her damage zone to the drop zone while giving the power to her vanguard that begins to charge power upon its weapon. "second check." She flips the next card and gets a draw trigger. "Draw trigger. Power to Glueball Avalanche and I draw one card." She then reaches for the last drive check. "Final check."
"as long as she doesn't get a trigger here…" Naoki muttered as he had a bead of sweat slide down his face.
"there is no more hope for you." Linker said as she reveals the last drive check and reveals it to be a stand trigger that made Naoki and Shingo gasps in shock. "get, stand trigger. All power to my vanguard and Ethics Buster Reverse stands."
Glueball Avalanche roared before it fully charges its weaponry and unleashed a rain of energy lasers down upon Gauntlet Buster Dragon who roared in pain as it gets blasted with the attack.
"aggghh!" Naoki screams in pain as the blast was powerful and real enough for him to even feel it.
"Ishida!" Shingo cried out to his friend while the top card of Naoki's deck flew to the damage zone and reveals itself to be another copy of Eradicator, Gauntlet Buster Dragon.
The fight ended in Naoki's defeat and Linker's victory.
The space field disappears with the conclusion of the fight as Ishida fell to his knees before falling to the ground unconscious.
"Ishida!" Shingo went to his friend and checks on him. "Ishida! Hey! Get a grip! Hey!"
Unknown to Shingo, a small dark shard flew out of Ishida's chest and to Linker who catches it with her right hand.
"to think that the Seed has been split this much…." Linker spoke as she looks at the small shard in her possession before the object glows in dark energy and then transforms into a white blank vanguard card. "but no matter, all will be in chaos once all the shards have been collected." She then looks at Shingo who is trying to wake up Naoki. "now. It is your turn, Komoi Shingo."
Shingo looks at Linker as he looks hesitant to fight but seeing as he gets surrounded by the woman's underlings, he grits his teeth in seeing how he has no choice but to fight against her.
'Tokura-san! Everyone! Please help!' Shingo cried out in his heart as he wishes for his friends to come and help him and Naoki.
Somewhere nearby, Chrono along with Kumi and Kazuma are found walking down the street as the three seemed to be leaving school.
"can't believe that we get to cut school short with how we're 3rd years and there's a school festival coming." Chrono said as today at school, they were allowed to go home early because of an upcoming school festival that they are allowed to get prepared for. "though we're allowed to go home earlier thanks to it."
"You don't hear me complaining." Kazuma said while having his hands in his pockets.
"isn't it nice though? We can finally get to be prepared as the Dragon Empire Branch's Chasers!" Kumi said as she along with Chrono and Kazuma decided to join in becoming Volunteer fighters for the upcoming vanguard event. "let's think of a way to stop everyone from winning!"
"if we stop them all from winning, how is the event going to end?" Chrono told Kumi while having a sweatdrop forming behind his head.
The three keeps on conversing as they walked down the road before they came across Kamui who ran across the road from them.
"wasn't that Kamui-san?" Kumi asks while tilting her head to the side.
"yeah, he looked like he was in a major hurry or something." Chrono said.
"should we go and ask him what's wrong?" Kazuma asks.
"let's go and ask." Chrono said as the group followed after Kamui who they find trying to look for something or someone down the nearby road. "Kamui-san! Hey!"
Kamui heard them as he turns and sees the group coming to him.
"Chrono? You guys? What are you guys doing here?" Kamui asks.
"school got cut short because of the upcoming school festival." Kazuma replied. "what's your story for looking to be in a hurry?"
"it's Shingo." Kamui said. "I just got a text from him calling for help because Naoki is fighting against some masked woman using Link Joker!"
"Link Joker? What's wrong with that?" Chrono asks confused. "is Naoki-san in trouble because that person is a part of a g quest or something?"
"no! you guys don't understand! It's!" Kamui spoke out before getting cut off when Kumi pointed into the air. "wha?"
"everyone. Just what is that?" Kumi asks as she pointed at a direction which Chrono and the others followed. The group seeing a dark holographic image like of deep space coming from the park nearby. "is that a hologram?"
"there, huh!?" Kamui exclaimed before he runs off.
"w-wait! Kamui-san!" Chrono cried out as he along with Kumi and Kazuma chases after him.
The group ran to the park together with Kamui as they went to the area and soon find an ongoing cardfight between Linker and Shingo who is slowly losing.
"Shingo!" Kamui cried out.
"w-what is this!?" Chrono asks in surprise as he, Kumi, and Kazuma are shocked to see the field becoming that of deep space. "is there a GIRS here or something!?"
"look!" Kumi cried out as she pointed at the Edict Star-Vader, Halcion that is flying in the air while readying its beam sword.
"Star Sword Nemesis!" Linker shouted as her grade 3 Link Joker vanguard unit flew down and delivered a powerful sword strike upon Shingo's Vanguard which is Covert Demonic Dragon, Magatsu Storm who roared out in pain after receiving the attack that caused an explosion.
"aggghhh!" Shingo cried out in pain as the attack blew him away while causing one card from the top of his deck to fly to his damage zone and ending the fight with him having 6 damage. The space field disappearing as the environment returned normal.
"Shingo!" Kamui shouted as he runs to his friend who lies unconscious on the ground. He went and kneels near him and then picks him up. "hey! Shingo! Hey!" he then sees Naoki being unconscious nearby before he looks at Linker with a glare. "just who the heck are you!?"
"Katsuragi Kamui, another one hosting a shard." Linker spoke as she held the blank vanguard card with her right hand while her left hand is pointing a finger at the unconscious Shingo who soon had a dark shard fly out of his chest and into the card that pulsates with dark energy. "your unexpected arrival saves me time trying to find you."
"if you wanted to fight me, then come at me!" Kamui said while getting his vanguard deck ready.
"Kamui-san!" Chrono and the others came to Kamui's side and sees the situation. "just what is going on here!?"
"you guys need to get Shingo and Naoki away! I'll deal with this person!" Kamui exclaimed.
"I think that's going to be a big problem!" Kazuma said as Linker's thugs began to surround them. "just where did these guys come from!?"
"I have no business with those three. The rest of you deal with them while I take on Katsuragi Kamui and take his shard then..." Linker said while getting her vanguard deck ready but she drops it because she held her head in pain while taking a few wobbly steps back. "ugh! Agghh! Not you again!"
"just what is going on?" Kumi asks completely confused.
Kamui, Chrono, and Kazuma watches Linker who continues to grunt in pain as she just looks unstable.
"Ka…mui….-kun….y-you….need…..to..pro…tect….A…ichi-kun! Ibuki!…don't….let…them…" Linker spoke between grunts of pain as she looks at Kamui who seems confused and baffled. "t-they're…after…them…protect…them!"
"just what are you saying?" Kamui said as he wasn't sure why but he felt familiar with Linker.
Linker continues to cry in pain before she screams and suddenly vanishes in a burst of blackish red aura.
With Linker disappearing all mysteriously, so did the Thugs as well.
"t-they all disappeared?" Kumi spoke in surprise and a bit of fear.
"yeah, and without a trace too." Kazuma said as he looks around and sees that they're the only ones left in the park. He then looks back at the others. "just what in the world was going on here?"
"I don't know, but it's definitely something bad." Chrono said before he looks at Kamui who slowly carried up Shingo by the shoulder. "Kamui-san, just what was going on here?"
"I'll tell you all later, but right now we need to focus on getting Naoki and Shingo some help." Kamui said as Chrono and the others nodded in agreement before they helped with carrying the unconscious Naoki.
Somewhere in a void of dark energy.
Linker appears within it as she is still screaming in pain.
"i-I won't let you! I won't let you!" Linker cried out while seeming to struggle with herself before she was struck with a surge of dark energy from behind as she just screamed in pain.
The surge of energy continues to struck Linker as it came from the outstretched right hand of another masked woman wearing an identical outfit to her however seeming to be shorter and has flowing orangeish hair.
"to think that her soul could fight against our hold this much." The other masked woman spoke as Linker screams in continuous pain. "it's such a bore to always do this each time they try to surface."
The surge of energy continues to struck Linker before it stops in a minute as the masked light blue haired woman huffs a bit before she looks at her hands that she grasped a few times.
"I have control again." Linker spoke before she looks at her masked companion. "you are here? What of your mission?"
"I have completed mine an hour ago." The orangeish haired masked woman replied before holding up her left hand that had several small dark shards appear floating upon her palm. "I've collected these from some fighters I've run across."
"good, I've also acquired a few of my own." Linker said as she held up the blank vanguard card and the dark shards from her companion flew and gets absorbed into the object which radiates its dark aura and the white blank card now has a picture of a unit just appearing in a fade blurry image. "with this, we only need to go Sendou Aichi who is the source of it all and then Ibuki Kouji."
"about Ibuki Kouji. I've heard from some of my new underlings that he would be a guest to an upcoming Vanguard event at Tokyo's Dragon Empire Branch." The orangeish masked woman replied before both turned towards a black blurry silhouetted figure appearing in the field. "what do you say? Should we and our underlings go after him?"
"Messiah's Vanguard will not be alone there." The silhouetted figure spoke out in a male and female mixed voice. "we will use our numbers to ensure that he is captured, but for now we need to ensure we can capture him by luring him and Sendou Aichi with a bait." The figure then raises a hand and created several vanguard cards that flew around the area before compiling into a deck. "continue to increase our numbers and wait for the event to begin before capturing our first target."
"as you wish." Linker and her companion replied by bowing their heads before they floated away and disappeared in a blurring dark aura.
As the two masked women left, the silhouetted figure held the deck before turning to see someone else appearing in the place.
"once the time comes, you shall be the one to capture him." The silhouetted figure spoke while holding the vanguard deck towards the other person in the area. "use this and defeat him, then he will be forever yours." The deck flew to the other individual who is revealed to be another masked woman with long wavy blonde hair yet wears a body suit that is fully black and had neon purple linings.
"as you wish." The blonde masked woman replied while holding up the deck and then turning around to disappear into thin air.
