Turning thirteen years old is a special ocasion in the Kanto region in the country of Yamato because that is when young men and women can become Pokemon trainers.
Ash Ketchum , a black haired Boy who lives in the quaint Pallet Town wants to be a Pokemon master. Ash had over slept and rushes to Professor Oak's labs to get his first Pokemon.
He pauses to catch his breath ,after ringing the doorbell .
As the door to the laboratory swings open and Professor Oak appears, a warm, welcoming smile on His face. "Ah, Ash Ketchum ," He says in a friendly tone. "I see you're your ready to begin your Pokemon journey. Come right in!"
Ash follows the professor into the spacious lab,
filled with all sorts of equipment and, of course, various Pokeballs.
Professor Oak leads him to a counter holding Pokeballs, containing the starter Pokemons. "Now, choose your Pokemon."he states to the eager thirteen year old.
After thinking carefully, Ash decides on starting with the Pokemon that feels right for him. Finally, he reaches for the Pokeball containing his partner Pokemon, Pikachu .
The Pikachu that you helped save a few years ago from a flock of angry spearows .Professor Oak hands him the Pokeball, his eyes twinkling with excitement. ". He's a bit mischievous, but I think he'll be a great fit for you, Ash. Remember, the bond between a Trainer and their Pokemon is what truly matters."
Ash take the Pokeball in his hands, feeling its weight. Then, with a deep breath, he releases Pikachu from his sphere. The ball pops open, and out bounds a small, yellow rodent Pokemon with a cheeky grin.
"Pika pika!" Pikachu squeaks happily, looking up at Ash with bright, curious eyes.
"Yeah buddy it's me I'm ready to keep my promise , are you ready to help me become the best trainer ever?" asked Ash .
Professor Oak chuckles at the sight. Professor Oak hands Ash his Pokedex and tells Ash "Remember, the bond between a Trainer and their Pokemon is what truly matters."
Ash and Pikachu follow Professor Oak out of the lab and into the warm Kanto sunlight. As they step outside, Ash notice a small crowd of onlookers gathering, curious about the new Trainer and his Pokemon.
"Remember, Ash," Professor Oak says, handing him a guide book of the Kanto region. "Your first stop should be Viridian City. It's not far from here, and while you can't pick up your first Gym Badge there you should still stop and train there. Good luck on your journey, and don't forget to call me!"
Professor Oak gives Ash a few more pieces of advice before waving goodbye and heading back into his lab. Ash looks down at Pikachu, who is eagerly bouncing from foot to foot, ready for adventure.
After a tearful and slightly embarrassing farewell with his Mother Ash looks out toward the horizon.
"Alright, little buddy," Ash say with a grin, "let's get going! Viridian City awaits!"
As he set off down the path leading out of Pallet Town, the crowds disperse, and they find themselves in the open countryside. The sun is high in the sky, casting a warm glow over the verdant fields and forests surrounding that stretch to as far as the eye can see.
"I wonder what kind of adventures we'll have, Pikachu?" Ash muse aloud, patting the little Pokemon on the head.Pikachu responds with an enthusiastic 'Pika pika!', his ears perking up as he looks around at the new surroundings.
As the duo walk along the path, they notice a group of wild Pidgey flying overhead, their wings catching the sunlight.
"Those are Pidgey," the trainer informs Pikachu, pointing up at the flock. "Maybe we'll run into catch some on our journey!" Ash and Pikachu continue walking, the cool morning breeze rustling the tall grass on either side of the path. After about an hour of walking, they reach small clearing where the path splits in two.
Both path leads to Viridian city .The left path leads into the heaviest part of the woodlands while the right leads to a safer path with less wild pokemon.
Hmm, which way should we go?" Ash wonders aloud, looking at the guide Professor Oak gave him.
He decides to take the left path which gives a better chance to see rare Pokemon.
As Ash and Pikachu venture down the path, the dense forest quickly envelops them, the canopy above blocking out much of the sunlight. The air becomes cooler and damper, and the sounds of various Pokemon echo through the woods.
Suddenly, a small group of Rattata scurry out from the underbrush, their beady eyes fixed on the two. They chitter nervously, unsure whether to attack or flee.
"Pika pika!" Pikachu squeaks, his ears flattening as he prepares for a possible battle.
Ash smiles reassuringly at the mouse Pokemon. "It's okay, little buddy. These Rattata seem a bit scared themselves."
A small pink form crashes out of the underbrush, its usually pristine fur matted with dirt and blood. It's a Mew, the Mythical Pokemon, looking far worse for wear. It's breathing heavily, its blue eyes wide with fear as it notices Ash and Pikachu.
"Mew!" it squeaks weakly, barely able to float towards the teenager before collapsing at his feet. Ash examined Mew and sees a deep gash along its side. Pikachu looks on with concern, his ears twitching anxiously. The injured Mew looks up at Ash pleadingly, reaching out a small paw towards Ash.
Mew," it says again, this time more softly almost a plea for help.
Ash hear shouts heading towards their location and Mew flinches as of afraid of the voice...so Ash makes the decision to catch Mew to protect it from the incoming voices.
He quickly grabs a Pokeball from his belt and holds it towards the injured Mew. "Don't worry, little one," you say soothingly. "I'll keep you safe."
Mew looks up at Ash with frightened eyes but doesn't resist as he holds out the Pokeball. With a soft 'thunk', the ball opens and engulfs Mew, who disappears inside with a faint, relieved mewl.
Just as Ash secures the Pokeball on his belt, the sounds of voices and crashing through the underbrush grow louder. He glances at Pikachu, who is bristling with alertness, ready for a fight.
"Let's get out of here!"Ash says as he quickly turns to run away from the oncoming voices.
Unfortunately at that moment a group of Team Rocket grunts burst out of the trees, their red "R" insignias glinting on their black uniforms. The leader, a burly man with a sneer on his face, strides up to Ash, his eyes narrowed suspiciously.
"What's a punk like you doing out here, kid?" he growls. "And did you see any strange Pokemon come this way?"
Pikachu bristles beside his trainer, his ears flattening in a show of aggression. Ash takes a deep breath, trying to keep his cool in the face of the Team Rocket thugs. "I just saw a pink Pokemon for a second before it teleported away," Ash states, trying to sound casual. "It was probably just a shiny Abra."Ash finishes.
The Team Rocket grunts exchange suspicious glances, but before they can press him further, Pikachu lets out a loud 'Pika!' and zaps the ground, causing the thugs to back up in surprise.
"Fine, be that way, kid," the leader snarls. "But we'll be watching you." With that, the Team Rocket members disappear back into the forest, grumbling about stupid brats waisting their time leaving you and Pikachu alone once more.
Ash let out a shaky breath, his heart still racing from the encounter.
Ash heads in the opposite direction from the way the Team Rocket thugs went and stops after a few minutes to heal Mew.
Ash releases Mew from it's ball and uses a potion .
Ash says in a soothing voice " It wont get you one hundred precent better but it'll keep you im decent shape till I can get you to a Pokemon center tomorrow."
Ash theh sits down to relax and catch his breath then he looks at Pikachu and says "I'm glad you're here, Pikachu," while giving him a pat on the head. "I don't think I could handle those Team Rocket thugs alone."
Ash glances at the Pokeball on his belt, imagining the Mew inside. "I wonder what Team Rocket wants with Mew," you muse. "Whatever it is, I know it can't be good."
Pikachu chimes in with a determined 'Pika!' as if agreeing with him.
They make their way to the nearby path, where Ash knows wild Pokemon are commonly found. Pikachu walks beside him, his ears perked up and alert.
"Pika pika!" he chirps excitedly, always eager for adventure.
Ash nods in agreement, ready to explore and encounter new Pokemon. Soon, the raven haired trainer spots a small pond near the side of the path. The tranquil water is dotted with the occasional ripple, hinting at the presence of Pokemon beneath the surface.
A bunch of bubbles rise to the surface right before a Magikarp jumps out of the water, its gold scales shimmering in the sunlight. It flops around frantically, struggling to look tough. Pikachu's eyes widen in amazement at the sight of the rare Pokemon.
"Pika pika!" he exclaims, pointing a paw at the Magikarp.
Ash grins, reaching for a Pokeball on his belt. "Looks like we've found a shiny Magikarp, Pikachu! Let's see if we can catch it."
Ash tosses the Pokeball at the struggling Magikarp, which makes a valiant effort to dodge but a well timed thunderwave from Pikachu paralizes it.
With a 'beep', the Pokeball opens and engulfs the shiny Magikarp, who disappears inside with a weak, muffled cry . After a few shakes the ball falls still and Ash secures the Pokeball , his first real capture under his belt.
"Nice catch!" Ash exclaims, giving Pikachu a high five. "Let's keep exploring - who knows what other Pokemon we might find!"
As the duo walk through the forest Ash decides to scan his Pokemon with his Pokedex to learn about them .
Ash reads the screen and whistles appreciatively looking at Pikachu and Magikarp's move set.
"I thought Magikarp can only use tackle but he's got several moves that he shouldn't have" muses Ash mostly to himself.
He then looks at Pikachu's moveset and sees Thundershock and Thunderbolt as electric moves and Quick Attack plus Iron Tail for physical attacks.
The Trainer then moves to look at their stat pages and lets out a small gasp when he noticed that Pikachu had S rank electrical proficiency and S rank speed and A rank durability his otherphysical stats where lower but still solid.
Magikarp has A Dragon-type proficiency and A speed while he also has decent ranks in several other elements and solid ranks in other stats.
After an uneventful night and few hour walk Ash made it to Viridian City . Grabbing Mew's Pokeball and looks for the local Pokemon center saying "Don't worry we'll get you healed up soon."
He wandered around for about an hour till he see the Pokemon center's red roof and he heads into it.
As Ash walks into the Pokemon Center, he is immediately met with chaos. Two Team Rocket grunts, are causing a ruckus, their laughter echoing through the usually peaceful building.
The red haired woman giggles as she says "Oh, look at all these helpless Pokemon! They'll make the perfect gifts for the bosses back at base"
Her partner a blue haired man relpies back "Yeah Jessie we'll get promoted for sure ."
The two release their Pokemon ; A Koffing and an Ekans.
The Pokemon Center erupts into panic as Koffing and Ekans appear, their toxic fumes and poison strings filling the air. Out of the shadows a Meowth, barks out orders as he circles the room with his claws extended. Ash looks in astonishment at the talking cat Pokemon.
Pikachu bristles with energy, his fur standing on end as he prepares for Ash's commands.
"Pika Pika!" he cries, charging up for a powerful Thunder Shock. The attack erupts from his body in a dazzling display, arcing through the air and slamming into Koffing, Ekans, and Meowth. The combined force of the shock and the exploding gas sends the Team Rocket trio blasting off with a resounding 'Kaboom!'.
"Pika pika!"
As the dust settles and the Team Rocket thugs disappear, they hear applause erupting from the desk Pokemon Center.
Ash turns to see Nurse Joy, the Pokemon Center's caretaker, clapping enthusiastically. Standing beside her is a stunning blonde girl, who appears to be a few years older than him.
Her golden hair cascades over her shoulders in soft waves, and her emerald green eyes sparkle with joy as she gazes at the young trainer.
"Well done, !" she calls out, her melodious voice filling the room. "That was quite the display of skill and courage." Nurse Joy nods in agreement, her face beaming with pride. Ash grins at the praise, patting Pikachu on the head. "Thanks! Pikachu here was the real hero, though. "
Pikachu puffs up with pride, his tail swishing happily "Pika pika!"
The blonde girl approaches him, her eyes never leaving Ash's. "I'm Cynthia, a Pokemon trainer from the Sinnoh region. I couldn't help but notice your impressive battle skills. Perhaps we could exchange some tips and strategies sometime?"
Nurse Joy chimes in, her smile warm and welcoming. "Oh yes, Cynthia is a very accomplished trainer! I'm sure you would have a lot to learn from each other."
