-The Strange Books

Hello everyone, I am Lobo! I have never written a story on fanfic so I'm new at this so I apologize if something is wrong, but I will try my best to make it a good story. I also could not figure out how to title this chapter so I will fix it as soon as I can. This takes place after the Evertree. Anyways enjoy!

Rollan rummaged through Greenhaven's dumpster. He was looking for anything that he could use for his next prank (because Olvan hates his pranks and wouldn't let him use any of Greenhaven's stuff).

"Ok" Rollan said. "Orange peel… um no.". He dug around a little more. "Cans. Nah." He casted them aside. He probably dug for about 10 minutes until he came upon a big garbage bag full of who knows what.

"Ok, let's see what is in here," Rollan said. He opened the garbage bag and revealed a bunch of books. "Books? Really" Rollan groaned. "You would think a dumpster would have SOMETHING useful in it that I could use."

"Well Meilin likes to read so I guess it wouldn't hurt to take these to her," Rollan said.

He made his way to Greenhaven and up to Meilin's room. Rollan knocked. No answer. "Probably sparring with a tree or something"

Rollan set off to find her. She was having an archery tournament with Conor and Abeke. He sprinted towards them. And as he did an arrow, shot by Conor, barely missed him.

"Whoa watch it!" Rollan said.

"Sorry, still learning"

"No" Abeke said "Rollan you were asking to be shot, you were WAY too close to us."

"Yeah sorry." Rollan apologized "Just wanted to give these books to Meilin." He dropped the bag of books next to her. "Found these in the dumpster and I know you like to read."

"Hmm? Me?" Meilin asked, as she fired an arrow. "Gosh DANG it!" Conor yelled. "You beat us Meilin by 1 point!

"Meilin beat me by 1 point! Abeke corrected.

"Anyways" Rollan said "I thought Meilin would take a look at them and decide if she wanted to keep them. You can because I found them in the garbage."

"Alright" Meilin said, picking up the bag. Everyone gathered around curious to see what was inside. Meilin pulled out a hardcover book that said in big gold letters "Spirit Animals"

"Spirit Animals" Abeke said "Hmm… sounds familiar"

"And look I'm on the front cover" Conor said proudly

"We don't know that," Rollan said. Conor frowned

"That sure looks like Conor and Briggan though" Abeke said "And that lion looks like Cabaro."

"So are these books about us?" Conor asked

"I guess" Meilin answered

"Shall we read the books together?" Rollan asked.

"Yes" they all said

"But, this one says book six." Meilin stated "We have to find book one."

They all nodded. Rollan reached in and pulled out a bunch of books

"Book three, Book five," Rollan mumbled "Book seven" and… Book one! "Yes!" he shouted. "Found it" he said

"Good" Meilin said "Lets go inside to… umm… my room and read it."

They all ran to Meilin's room, Rollan carrying "Wild Born" and Abeke carrying the bag.

"Do you think Olvan and Lenori would want to read this?" Conor asked

"Umm… sure?" Meilin said

"Great" Conor said as he ran off

They all reached Meilin's room and sat down. Abeke set the bag down and Meilin started putting the books in order and placing them on her empty shelves.

Conor appeared with Olvan and Lenori

"So" Olvan said "I hear that you found books about yourselves"

"Yes" Rollan said

"We found book one, so should we read the back?" Meilin asked

"Why?" Rollan asked

"Because it tells you what it is about so you want to read it, but doesn't spoil it."

"Oh, Ok"

"Well who wants to read the back?" Conor asked

"Sure" Abeke volunteered. Abeke cleared her throat "Ok here we go"

" Are you Wild Born?"

"Wait, what does that mean?" Rollan asked "I don't know, let me finish" Abeke answered "Ok, Alright"

"No interrupting" Meilin said "or you'll get it" Meilin threatened holding up her fist

Rollan gulped

"In the world of Erdas, four children are about to discover if they have a spirit animal bond, a rare link between human and beast that gives great powers to both. Separated by vast distances, Conor, Abeke, Meilin, and Rollan each see a flash of light… and then the animals emerge. Wolf, leopard, panda, and falcon. "Oooh so scary" Rollan mocked

"Now we shall definitely read it" Conor said

"Well we already know what happens" Abeke said "But I still want to read it"

"Everyone in favor of reading it, raise their hands!" Rollan shouted

Everyone raised their hands. "Good now we read, who wants to go first?"

"Me" Olvan volunteered

"Ok" Abeke said passing the book to Olvan
