COMPLETE! There's a difference between fighting for and fighting back, but it's fighting that Wash knows. It's what he was built for, and it seemed inescapable. But it's fighting through — the guilt and the loss and the rage — they must have forgotten to give him a field manual for. Or, the Freelancers race to the Staff of Charon, having no idea what awaits them there.

After joining up with the UNSC after my death and rebirth into what seems to be an AU of the Halo Verse, I find myself in Blood Gulch, joining Blue Team along with Caboose at the start of the Series, and now I have to navigate the following events, hopefully without dying. Oh well, at least I can try to save Church. Self Insert.

Caboose and Donut weren't the only ones sent to Blood Glutch. Meet Monique Cate (cat), a cynical semi-cable mechanic, who legal can't drive assigned to the Blue team. Also, meet Sean R.C., a weapon specialist, who has a photographic memory and a bit of a pyromaniac assigned to the Red Team. Join them as these two get more and worse than they expected from the army.

After the events of Season 8, with the Meta dead, Washington and the Reds and Blues begin plan to head back to Valhalla in an attempt to regain some "normalcy". Although, as is often the case, their plan does not go quite so smooth, and they are thrust into an encounter with the UNSC and the lasting results of Project Freelancer.
