What happens when you annoy Halt at a Gathering? Either you run, or you get pitched into the river. It's your choice - well, not really.

The Kitchen of the Castle Redmont is visited by thieves that seem to be able to unseen make away with any amount they so pleases. As Master Chubb is helpless to stop them, he is desperate for help, can a young Ranger's Apprentice offer it?

"Never be too quick to rush into things," The memory of Halt's warning rang in his ears with all the condemnation of regret—regret he hadn't heeded it when it mattered most. And now, stranded and alone with Halt's life in the balance, it was already far too late. And what was worse was that he had no idea how he could fix it or make it right.

One does not lure a Ranger into a trap, one baits the trap with coffee and the Ranger walks into it willingly, so it is said, and so it would seem it is done… A tale of a Ranger, a trap, and a right nice cup of coffee…

"Could you write a fic in which halt tells crowley about his past?" - Requested by anonymous on Tumblr. Halt finished telling Crowley about what happened on their mission in Clonmel, but there's more he wants to tell him. Halt opens up about his past to Crowley, telling his friend more than he told Will and Horace.

Gilan is a Ranger, and one of the best, but what happens when a Ranger no longer knows what he is...?

'Will had been back home for more than two months now. The distance in time from his experience in Skandia was almost as far away as the country itself. It didn't seem fair that it could still affect him as if he still lived it.' Will struggles with adjusting to life after Skandia, but his family isn't about to let him go through it alone.

Bunch of oneshots

Halt stands at the back of the crowded Redmont audience hall while Baron Arald offers to fulfill Will's wish of becoming a knight.

Expression, for Halt, had always been a tricky thing. He'd never been anywhere near exuberant by nature. And, truth be told, there was nothing growing up that would have encouraged him to be otherwise. In which Halt makes two promises to himself: one he can keep and the other he cannot.

Halt and Crowley have been best friends pretty much since the day they met. But what happens when Crowley gets murdered? And what happens when King Duncan gets the blame put on him? Halt commits an even bigger act of treason than he did when Will was taken, and now he has to go on the run in order to not get arrested, and leaves his old life behind.

AKA the one where Gilan learns the merits of thinking things through, and through this maybe doesn't have the worst idea ever.

Gilan is sent to Martinsyde Fief to try and find out what is wrong, because something there is clearly not right. Amidst a maze of stairs and towers, he finds something that no-one expected.

Will Halt Crowley and Gilan all work part time in the police force in a small town in London, England. In their spare time they run a coffee shop called The Oakleaf, so naturally, their daily lives are very interesting... I do not own any of the ranger's apprentice series or characters. Rated T just in case.

During a particularly cold winter in Araluen, Maddie finds out something about her mentor, and about why he is particularly sensitive to the cold.

How did Baron Arald know to leave Halt's note ever-so-conveniently on his desk? Well, Halt did admit they were testing Will. That must have required some planning.

Halt has already been drunk on duty once - officially speaking, of course. What happens when he apparently commits a second offence?

At the end of A Ranger By The Tail, Will finds out that Halt has some rather strong feelings about adders, and in particular about the young adders. As it turns out, there is a reason for that. Take a young apprentice, a bully, and in the end it all adds up….

Started off as some one shots in my Rangers Apprentice One-Shots series (Which I have yet to complete) but I decided to turn it into its own fanfic. It's the ranger gathering and Gilan and Will are up to their usual shenanigans. Except this time, they've brought Crowley into it.
