We now know Haymitch’s tragic story from SOTR. This story follows Haymitch through HG into MJ, his role in the successful rebellion, etc. Will be spoilers, read AFTER finishing SOTR.

The 74th Hunger Games came and went, and the rebellion was forced back underground. The embers of rebellion, though, never really stopped smoldering. It was just a matter time before something reignited them. (This fic draws heavily on the events mentioned in my two, previous one-shots in this universe, "Masquerade," and "A Gilded Cage," and I would recommend reading those first.)

It has been five years since Julius Nepos took hold of the Capitol and reigned as its President. In that five years, he had catapulted the Games to newer levels, thanks in part to his Head Gamemaker and now he focuses his grip on the Victors, controlling what they do and say, using them as his playthings, eagerly waiting for his next plaything to come out.

Eva Odair is the victor of the 72nd Hunger Games. She had returned to the Capitol as a mentor for the 74th Hunger Games but shortly after the tributes parade she finds herself in the Capitol many, many years before her games.

When Annie Cresta gets selected for the 70th hunger games, she knows it's a death sentence. Odds are not in her favour, they never were. With the famous victor, Finnick Odair, deciding to take an especial interest on her, though, Annie starts to believe she might have a chance to win. She knows what death entails, so she might as well try her luck.

Victors' children always go into the Hunger Games. Everyone knows it. Mags never should have loved Finnick Odair.

Maze Donahue, a troublesome but lonely orphan from District 3 with a penchant for pranks, is Reaped for the 57th Hunger Games, and is surprised to find people finally taking an interest in her — the Capitol, other tributes, and her mentor, Beetee. No matter what, she won't ever be alone again.

"And The Winner of the 69th Hunger Games, District Six's Ace Skylark!" booms Claudius Templesmith to the entirety of Panem. "Ace, the son of 47th Victor Skyler Skylark becomes the first legacy Victor in the history of the Hunger Games." Follow Ace as he returns to his District and learns what it means to be a Victor and how to use the power he has.

Katniss has never been great with words. Or love really. But that day on the train, on the way back to 12, she doesn't let Peeta walk away. She won't let the Capitol define her. If she chooses Peeta, it's because she wants to be with him and not because President Snow expects it of her.

Leila Brightlock, victor of the 67th Hunger Games, is the Capitol's favorite—but hated by the districts. When the third Quarter Quell forces her to kill Katniss, she fails, endangering those she loves. The President's probably on crack, the careers are teaming up with District 12 and friendship survives everything? Who knows what's happening, who cares? An emotional and satyrical fic about Clove and Glimmer allying with Haymitch's adopted daughter. I mean with that summary, what can go wrong?

Now, President Pitheart is in charge, and he refuses to allow Panem to break. With all his victors on a tight leash, he's about to welcome 24 new tributes to the 110th Hunger Games. Dom is a orphan from District 6; her family killed for selling tainted drugs. Marius is a Peacekeeper haunted by the memory of a terrified child. Dom wants nothing to do with Marius but when she's reaped his small act of solidarity shakes the foundation of Panem's beliefs and puts the both of them on Snow's radar. Now they both have the same objective - survive.
