Well…I'm surprised by the response from you all…

Hello everyone, Happy Easter Weekend for those who celebrate it. Pixel here, back to bring you the official first chapter of: The Witches and Their Ninja!

Man, the response from you all was massive. You all surprised me with the responses, and I loved reading what you had to say. So, with that, I decided to keep the story going.

Now, some of you guys asked if I'll be using the comic or the cartoon as the main source of the plot of the story, and I'll just confirm this, I'll be using elements from both of them. I know it sounds like a bad idea because someone has warned me that using/mixing in the elements of both comic and cartoon is a bad idea since the cartoon changed and didn't include some of the plot from the comic. But I'll try to keep things as canon as I can, but in my spin, since I don't like following the canon much. If you've read Alien Hero: Deku 10 or even Total Drama Maelstrom, you know how I like fucking up the timelines of every fandom I make crossovers with.

So, I hope y'all like this chapter, and I'll see you later at the end for more news on the story.

Chapter 1: Origin (Part 1)

[Location: At the front gate of Sheffield Institute, Heatherfield, Connecticut, U.S.A.]

[Date: Wednesday, 29 October 2004]

[Time: 07:58 a.m]

Throughout his life, Naruto has crashed into a lot of things. Those things being: walls, chain-linked fences, wooden fences, trash cans, and even other people like fellow skaters and unsuspecting bystanders.

But never in his life has he ever crashed into someone like the girl he was staring at. He looked at her and saw her red hair, hair he had only seen from his mother, and he couldn't help but be mesmerized by it.

'Whoa…she's…she's pretty…' Naruto thought as he stared at this unknown girl as she saw him staring at her intensely, and she blushed before turning away from Naruto. This causes Naruto to snap out of his state and realize he must have freaked her out with his staring.

"Uh…hi, sorry for knocking in like that. I should have paid attention to where I was going." Naruto says while rubbing the back of his head, a sheepish smile appearing on his face. The girl slowly looks back at him and sees that he was genuine in his apology.

"I-I-It's fine." The girl stutters as she shyly looks away from him again. Naruto gets up to his feet and walks over to the girl and holds his hand out to her.

"Question, are you new around here? Since I've never seen you here before?" Naruto asks. The girl looks at him and sees his hand held out in front of her. She stares at it for a bit before she takes it, and Naruto helps her up to her feet.

"Y-Yeah…I'm new. I arrived in the city last week…" The girl slowly answers, and Naruto smiles

"Cool, so what's your name?" Naruto asks, and the girl blushes slightly as she rubs her left arm.

"Willhelmina…but, people either call me Willma or Will." The red-haired, now revealed to be known as Will

"Nice. I'm Naruto, and would it be fine for me to call you Will?" Naruto asks as he walks over to his skateboard, which was lying on the floor near him, while Will nods slightly to his question. When he reaches it, he kicks it with the wood, and it goes in the air before he catches it and places the board on his bag. He turns back to Will and sees her grab her items at fell from earlier. "Do you want to walk together into the school? That's why I can show you around the classes?" He asks

He sees Will finish what she was doing and looks at him as she seems to think about what he offered. He sees her expression shift from one to another before she looks at him and nods slightly.

"I'd…like that." Will says, and Naruto flashes a grin.

"Great, let's get going before the bell-" Whatever Naruto was about to say was interrupted when a bell rang. The two listen to the bell before it finally stops, and they stand there for a bit as they realize what that bell was. "rings…" He mutters, realizing that they were now late. He quickly rushes over to Will and grabs her hand before pulling her along as they head to the building. "C'mon. We have to get into the school now before she finds us.

"W-W-Wait. Who are you talking about?" Will asks, wondering what was prompting this reaction from Naruto and who he was speaking about. Naruto drags her into the building as they arrive in the front hallway, where a set of stairs were. Naruto looks around the area for any sign of someone and sees no one was around.

"The witch herself." Naruto says, looking around again for any sight of someone. Once he sees no sign of life, he grabs Will's hand and makes their way through the hallway. "Okay, looks like she's not here. Let's get to the office to get your schedule and head to before we're caught." He says, walking towards the stairs

"Ahem…" But a voice causes them to stop, and the two young teens turn around and see a teacher standing behind them, with her arms crossed and staring at them with a stern frown, especially towards Naruto. "Mr. Uzumaki. I see you're late once again." The teacher says, Naruto nervously smiles, and rubs the back of his head

"In my defense, I accidentally crashed into Will here." Naruto says before he gestures toward Will, who was looking at the teacher with a shy expression. "She's a new student here, and I wanted to show her around." He says with his foxy grin.

The teacher looks at him for a bit before turning towards Will, who shifts slightly from her glance as the redhead waves at her.

"H-Hi." Will stutters. The teacher continues to stare at the two for a bit before letting out.

"I see…" "I will let this incident slide just this once, seeing that you're helping a student find her way to class. But let me make this clear, young man, if you're late once again, you'll find yourself in detention. Something you're quite familiar with." The teacher says in a low tone, which makes Naruto gulp slightly

"Yes, ma'am." Naruto says, with a nervous smile, and the Teacher nods

"Good. And to you, Will, I formally welcome you to Sheffield Institute." The Teacher says with a warm smile on her face as she looks at Will. But she quickly loses her smile. "Now, march to class, you two. March!" She yells, causing the two teens to flinch

"Y-Y-Yes ma'am!" The two yell before they start walking up the stairs and rush up the stairs. They continue to rush up the stairs as they reach the second floor and go down a hallway. They walk down the hallway for a bit in silence before Will finds her voice

"Geez…she's scary." Will says, and Naruto nods

"Tell me about…" Naruto says, letting out a mild shiver

"By the way, what did she mean by you're familiar with detention?" Will asks, looking at the blonde who just shrugged

"Oh, that. If you know half the things I've done here, you'd understand what she meant." Naruto says in a nonchalant way, which causes Will to look at him with a raised eyebrow, wondering what he was talking about. Soon, they reach a door, and Naruto, as the blonde, turns to the redhead. "Well, this is where my class is. Do you know where your homeroom class is? Cause if you don't, I can lead you to it." He offers, but Will shakes her head

"No, I have the schedule and I have directions too." Will says, and Naruto nods in understanding

"Oh, okay." Naruto says as he was about to turn to the door to open it, but he stops and turns back to Will. "Say, at lunch. Do you want to eat together? With me and my friends?" He asks, which catches Will by surprise, but after a while of thinking it over, Will shyly nods

"S-Sure." Will says, making Naruto happy

"Sweet." Naruto says, flashing a grin. He turns back to the door and looks at Will one more time. "See ya later, Will." He says as he opens the door and walks through the door. Leaving Will in the hallway as she stares at the door he walked through

"B-Bye." Will shyly says before she turns and starts walking away in a direction. While she walked, she couldn't help but think about Naruto's friendly and sunny attitude, and couldn't help 'He seemed nice. At least, from what I could hear from his thoughts.' She thought as she walks

Meanwhile, with Naruto, the blonde enters the classroom and he fist-pumps to himself for a job well done.

"Made it." Naruto whispers to himself, feeling happy that he made it to class on time.

"I see you finally decided to join us, Mr. Uzumaki." Naruto looks and sees a male teacher standing in front of the class while other students his age are looking at him. Most of them were snickering to themselves while the teacher crossed his arms, staring at them. "And what was the cause of today's tardiness? A bump on the road?" The teacher asks, and Naruto starts to sheepishly rub the back of his head.

"You would believe me if I said I saw a black cat on the way here and that made me change my route to go the other way so I could avoid getting bad luck?" Naruto says with a sheepish smile. He looked at the teacher and saw he was not buying his excuse. Seeing this, the blonde sighs. "Fine, I overslept." He says, and this seems to convince the teacher

"Thank you for telling the truth. Now, head over to your seat so we can resume class. I presume you know the way to it." The teacher says, and Naruto sighs before he nods

"Yeah…" Naruto says softly as he walks over to the one empty desk in the middle of the room. While he was walking, Naruto could hear the snickers from the others he passed before he made it to the desk and sat down at it. Once he does, the teacher resumes.

"Now, before that little interruption, let's get back to what we were doing." The teacher says, resuming what he was doing.

While this was going on, Naruto was hardly paying attention to what the teacher was saying as he felt a tap on his shoulder on his right, and he turned to see who was tapping him.

"Cutting it by the teeth again, huh?" A girl of Chinese origin asks Naruto as she was smirking at him. She had a fair complexion, long dark purple hair which she wore in two long pigtails, and brown eyes. She was wearing a pink dress with a red hoodie over the dress, red sneakers with oversized pink socks, and had on one blue goggle that rested on top of her head. "When will you learn that you'll end up in detention again for acting like this?" She asks, and this makes Naruto chuckle

"Oh, poor innocent Hay-Lin. When will you learn that it's more exciting to push it to the edge and take it by the balls of it?" Naruto says, returning a smirk at the girl who rolls her eyes

"As soon as you start being responsible and get here early, since I can't always be there to remind you to come to school." The girl, now known as Hay-Lin, says as she crosses her arms and gives the blonde a stern look. "I mean, what would you do if I didn't?" She asks

Naruto was about to say something when someone else interjected into their conversation.

"Probably skate around the city." Another girl speaks, looking at the two with a sly grin. This girl had a slightly chubby yet curvy body as she had shoulder-length, auburn, somewhat wavy hair, and greenish-blue eyes. She was wearing a long-sleeved maroon shirt while also wearing a light denim jacket, dark denim jeans, and black sneakers. She also wore a flower petal necklace.

"That sounds about right, Irma." Another person speaks, sitting near the other three. This person was a girl who was seemingly their age. She had dark skin and a skinny figure as she had short black hair, where she had one long bang going down the left side of her head. She wore a pair of glasses over her amber-colored eyes, and she was wearing a long-sleeved orange colored dress that covered her arms and legs, and only her hands/feet were exposed, with her wearing brown boots.

"You two always argue like this, like a married couple. Which makes me think, you two are secretly dating for what?" Irma says as a cheeky smirk spreads across her face.

After she said that, Naruto and Hay-Lin froze in their seats before they quickly shifted uncomfortably in their seats as they turned to Irma

"What?!" Naruto quietly yells at the brunette, glaring at her. "Eww. Gross, Irma. Why would you say that? Hay-Hay and I aren't like that, we're like siblings." He says, but Irma wasn't buying his excuse as she just grins

"A-huh. And what about you, Hay-Lin?" Irma asks, looking at the silent Chinese girl before she looks away from them.

"No comment." Hay-Lin softly says, causing Naruto and the glasses-wearing girl to look at Hay-Lin with confused expressions, while Irma's smirk grew

"Looks like someone else has other opinions. Maybe she's hiding somethi-" Whatever Irma was about to say gets interrupted by Hay-Lin when the Chinese girl appears in front of her and shuts her mouth by placing her hand on it. Irma looks at Hay-Lin and glares at her with chill eyes.

"Irma…if you value your life, I suggest you don't say anything…" Hay-Lin lowly mutters to the girl. However, Irma gains a mischievous glint in her eyes, and she bites Hay-Lin's hand, causing the Chinese to cry out while grabbing her sore hand, which alerts the teacher and the other students.

"Something you wanted to add, Miss Lin?" The teacher asks, looking at the four as Hay-Lin freezes in the spot

"N-No, sir! Irma and I were having a bit of an argument on…today's topic." Hay-Lin says, with a sheepish smile, hoping that the teacher will believe her

"Oh really. Then could you tell me what topic we're discussing?" The Teacher asks, crossing his arms. This makes Hay-Lin nervous as she has no idea about what topic they were on.

"Uhh…the stone age?" Hay-Lin says, with hesitation as she closes her eyes and silently prays that she was right about the topic, but fortunately, the teacher seems pleased

"Well…you were listening to the lesson as we were talking about it. Good job." The teacher says, and this makes Hay-Lin happy

'Yes!' Hay-Lin mentally cheers at getting the correct answer.

"Now, let's continue with the lesson." The teacher says, turning back to the chalkboard and continuing the lesson as our group listens to it this time

[Timeskip a few hours later.]

[Time: 11:00.]

After that, the bell rang and the classes were let out as students made their way to either meet with their friends, talk to some of the teachers, or make their way to the cafeteria.

Naruto and his friends were making their way to the cafeteria, talking about stuff.

"So, you girls are coming to the dance on Friday or going Trick or treating?" Naruto asks as the girls look at him

"Well, you already know me, Naru. We'll be doing Trick or Treating before we go to the dance!" Hay-Lin says as she drops her arm around his shoulder

"Well, as for Trick or Treating, I don't know, but for yeah I'm going to it." Irma says as she puts on a denim jean jacket. "Are you going to the dance as well, Taranee?" She asks, turning to the dark-skinned skin glasses-wearing girl who we now know as Taranee.

Taranee hums in thought on the question.

"I don't know if I'll go to it. My Mom tends to be…overprotective." Taranee says, after a bit of hesitation. The others look at her.

"Really? Even now, she is still like this." Irma says with a raised eyebrow while Taranee sighs and nods

"You know how she is. She cares about me and my well-being." Taranee says as she looks at them. "Besides, she knows who my friends are and knows one of them is known as a loose cannon." She says, looking at Naruto, who whistles innocently

"I have no idea what you're talking about." Naruto says, looking all innocent. This causes the others to gain sweatdrops on their heads.

"Hey guys." Someone says behind them Four and they turn to see two girls walking up to them. One of these two girls were tall with long, thick blonde hair. Her eyes were ice blue and were seemingly narrower and smaller than the rest of the girls' eyes. She wore a long green dress with a grey sweater over the dress, and she also had a red climber-style backpack on.

The other girl was shorter than the other girl. She had straw-blonde hair worn in braids or twists, if you would, and her eyes were grey-blue. She was wearing a light red sweater with a dark strip horizontally going around the chest area and a purple skirt. She also had dark purple boots.

"Oh, hey Cornelia, Elyon." The girls greet two newcomers while Naruto just throws a two-finger salute at the two in greeting.

"What are you guys talking about?" The taller girl, known as Cornelia, asks

"Oh, just talking about doing some Trick or Treating and if we're going to the dance." Hay-Lin says as Cornelia raises an eyebrow

"Really? Don't you think you're a little old for Trick or Treating?" Cornelia asks

"Oh, come on, Cornelia. You're never too old for stuff like that." Hay-Lin says with a beaming smile.

"A-ha, whatever you say." Cornelia says, rolling her eyes. She and the other girl start walking along with the group. After a while, Cornelia looks at Naruto and Hay-Lin. "Since you guys are going Trick or Treating, can I ask you something?" She asks

"Sure, what's up?" Naruto asks

"Could you do it with my little sister with you guys?" Cornelia asks

"Why?" Hay-Lin asks

"She wants to do it before I go to the dance, but I don't want to do it." Cornelia says,

"So, you want us to accompany your sister as she does trick or treating?" Hay-Lin asks, and Cornelia nods

"If you could do that, I'd really appreciate it?" Cornelia says. Naruto and Hay-Lin looked at each other for a bit before they shrugged and turned back to Cornelia.

"Sure, we can play escort her." Naruto says, and Cornelia lets out a sigh of relief

"Thank you guys, I'll buy you back for this." Cornelia says.

The group continues to walk toward the cafeteria when…

"E-Excuse me…" They hear someone speak up from behind them, and they turn around and see Will standing behind them, shifting nervously. "H-Hi." She greets them with a small hand wave.

"Will, hey." Naruto goes to Will and greets her as he stands in front of her. "How's your first day been so far?" He asks while smiling at

"Good so far." Will says

While they were talking, the others saw this scene and were confused by it

"What's going on? Who is this chick?" Irma whispers to the others

"I have no idea. I have never seen her before. Have any of you?" Hay-Lin whispers back, looking at the scene with a hidden expression on her face

"Nope." Cornelia whispers as she shakes her head. Elyon and Taranee also shook their heads

"No….and how does she know Naruto?" Taranee asks

"Good question…" Hay-Lin says with her eyes on Naruto as she sees him smiling at Will. This piques her curiosity. "Let's go ask." She asks before she starts going to the two. Hearing this, the others watch Hay-Lin walk towards the two.

"Wait, Hay-Lin." Elyon says, but Hay-Lin doesn't stop as she continues to walk toward Naruto and Will, and once she gets near, she wraps her arms around Naruto's shoulders, causing the two to stop talking and look at her with Naruto peeking over his shoulder

"Hi, there. Am I interrupting something?" Hay-Lin asks

"Oh, Hay-Hay, this is Will. She's new here and she's the one I crashed into when I was coming to school." Naruto says, gesturing Hay-Lin to Will as Hay-Lin looks at him with a surprised look

"Wait, so what you said to the teacher was the truth?" Hay-Lin asks as Naruto nods

"Yep." Naruto says as he turns to Will. "Will, this is Hay-Lin, she's my best friend." He says, gesturing Hay-Lin to Will as the two girls look at one another

"Hi, nice to meet you." Hay-Lin says as she holds her hand out at Will while the redhair girl looks at the girl and she takes her hand and shakes it

"Nice to meet you too." Will says

"Are we interrupting something here?" The three turn around and see the others coming up to them

"Nope, nothing at all." Naruto says before he gestures Will at the others. "Guys, this is Will, she's new and someone I met earlier at the front of the gate." He says as Irma and Taranee looked surprised

"So, you were telling the truth in class." Taranee says, and this caused Naruto to sigh

"Yes, I did. Why does everyone think I was lying?" Naruto asks, sounding exhausted

"You come late once a week, and with your reputation, people tend to think otherwise…" Irma says while Naruto again sighs, knowing that the girls were right. Meanwhile, Will was looking confused about what everyone was talking about

"What are you talking about?" Will asks, confused about what was going on. Everyone else turn back to her.

"Something you'll find out sooner or later." Cornelia says. As everyone was looking at Will, Hay-Lin looks at the redhead who was standing in her spot nervously, and thought of an idea.

"Say, do you want come and eat with us?" Hay-Lin asks, and Will shifts nervously

"I don't know…" Will says, in a nervous tone, as she wasn't sure if she should. But Hay-Lin wasn't having that.

"Oh, come on. You can join us." Hay-Lin says as she wraps her arm around Will's and looks at her. "It'll be fine." She says, smiling at the red hair

After a bit of thinking, Will decides why not, since from what she can tell, they seemed friendly enough.h

"Okay." Will says, cracking a small smile

"Great, now c'mon guys. Let's get something to eat, I'm starving." Hay-Lin says as she starts walking towards the cafeteria, dragging Will along with the poor girl being confused

"Don't drag the poor girl around like that." Irma says, but her words fell on deaf ears as Hay-Lin was still dragging Will. Seeing this, the others started following the two toward the cafeteria.

While walking toward the cafeteria, the group walked down the hallways, passing by students as some began talking to them, specifically to Naruto.

"Hey, captain, you think we'll keep the cup this year?" One kid says

"You know we'll do our best to be back-to-back champs." Naruto says

"Hey Uzumaki, got any pranks lined up?" Another kid asks. Hearing this, Naruto turns to the kid who asked the question, and he grins

"A fox can't tell his secret." Naruto says as he puts his finger to his mouth

As they continue to walk, the group walks past a bunch of girls who look at Naruto and giggle

"Hey Naruto." The girls greet Naruto, who winks at the girls when passing

"Ladies." Naruto greet the girls back, causing some to blush or giggle silently. Naruto grins, but a hand smacks on top of his head, resulting in him yelping out from the pain as he looks to see Hay-Lin standing next to him, staring at him with narrow eyes

"Okay, you Casanova." Hay-Lin says with her right eye twitching slightly. Seeing this, Naruto just rubs the back of his head while sheepishly smiling

Eventually, the group made it to the cafeteria and saw that students were flocking around with food in their hands, chatting with friends

"Well, we're here Let's get our food and find a table." Cornelia says. Taranee looks around and spots an empty one, one that was big enough for all of them to sit at it.

"That's one over there. Let's get our food." Taranee says, pointing at the empty table and sitting down on the chairs. And the girls start pulling out their lunches from their bags while Naruto stands up.

"I'll be right back, I need to get my lunch." Naruto says. Elyon looks at him.

"Oh, could you please get me an apple?" Elyon asks, and Naruto looks at her before he nods

"Sure, I'll get you one. Anything?" Naruto asks as Hay-Lin looks at him

"Can you get me a soda? I'll appreciate it." Hay-Lin says, with a smile, as Naruto grins

"Sure thing," Naruto says as he stands up from the table. "I'll be back!" He says before he walks away to grab their lunch, leaving the girls to talk as he walks past other students who were greeting him along the way.

With the girls by themselves, the other girls turn to Will, who sees them looking at her.

"So, Will. How's Sheffield Institute and Heatherfield for you so far?" Irma asks with a small smile. Hearing the question, Will shifts around in her chair as she thinks about it.

"Well, it's been…an interesting change from my old city. It's cool, but the rain has been a bummer." Will says as the others nod, knowing what she meant

"Yeah, we get the feeling." Cornelia groans out, knowing the feeling as she and the others have been unable to do anything they wanted to do due to being stuck indoors. Will looks back and sees Naruto at the food counter, getting the food for the whole group while he was speaking, and she thinks of something.

"Say, can I ask a question?" Will asks, drawing the girls' attention

"Sure, what is it?" Elyon asks

"Okay, I have to ask. What was that with the others greeting Naruto like that?" Will asks. Hearing this, the girls look at one another before they turn back, and then smile at her.

"Oh, right. I'm not surprised. Naruto has a bit of an infamous reputation." Cornelia says, while the others grin as Will has a confused expression

"Infamous reputation?" Will asks

"Yep. For one, he's the captain of the school's soccer team and the regional karate champion. While that's a good thing, there's just one thing he's also known." Hay-Lin says, knowing already what other reputation her best friend has, and the others did

"He also has the reputation as a massive prankster." Taranee says

"Prankster?" Will asks, and the others nod

"Yep, he is. He's probably one of the most notorious pranksters." Irma says, as Hay-Lin nods along

"Yeah, he even has this thing he does called Hell Week." Hay-Lin says, while the other girls shiver slightly, feeling chills going down their spines

"Hell Week?" Will asks, confusion pasted on her face

"Once a week, every six months, he goes on a week-long pranking spree where no one is safe. He will target any people in his path. And trust me, the name is not a joke." Elyon says

"How?" Will asks, starting to feel uneasy

"He once dismantled the principal's car, took all of its parts to the principal's office as he rebuilt it there and left it there where the principal found it, and let's just say…he was not happy." Cornelia say, shaking her head as she remembers how the principal reacted when he saw his car in his office, she had never heard so many swear words in one massive yell

"Is…that the worst he's done?" Will asks, hoping that was the worst of it, but to her shock and disbelief, the others shook their heads

"That's was one of the worst things he's done. Another time, he dyed the swimming pool water with a special dye that you couldn't see at first, but once you swam in the water, it stained your swimsuit and your skin with the color. And do you know the worst part, it took weeks to get it the dye off." Taranee says

"I see…" Will says, seeing a pattern here.

"Another time, he rigged some of the lockers with smoke bombs, and the moment those who opened them got blasted by a cloud of orange smoke and were covered by it head to toe. And it was a lot of people." Hay-Lin says

"Has…has anyone like, stopped him?" Will asks

"The thing is…no one has figured out it was him since there was no evident showing he was involved with the pranks. So, he was never considered a suspect." Irma says. Something about her words caught Will off guard, as she was confused

"But how do you guys know it's him?" Will asks

"The reason why we know is because one, I'm his best friend, and I know him too well. Two, most of us have known him, so it's not hard for the rest to figure out it was him." Hay-Lin says as the others nod along

"I see…" Will says, now understanding a bit of Naruto

As the girls fall into a comfortable silence, a group of boys appears beside their table.

"Hey ladies, how are you all doing?" One of the boys, presuming to be the leader. He had orange hair, spiked up as he had green eyes and some pimples on his face. He wore a long-sleeved white shirt with a blue, yellow striped hockey jersey over the shirt, denim cargo pants, and brown sneakers. The other girls sigh while Will looks at the orange-haired boy with a

"Hello, Uriah…" Irma says, with a low tone, already not in the mood for this talk

"How are you girls doing?" The orange-haired boy says before he looks at Will and raises an eyebrow. "And who's the red-haired?" He asks

"We're waiting for our food. And she's a new student. We're trying to get her used to the school." Cornelia says

"Oh, I see." Uriah says before he looks at Will with a grin. "Hey, cutie. The name's Uriah, and I'm pretty well known in the school. If you want, I could show you around town and see what's what?" He asks, wiggling his eyebrows, trying to impress Will, but Will was not looking at him as she was uncomfortable with his words. The others see this and know they need to get Uriah away from Will before she gets too uncomfortable.

"Uriah, can you please just leave us alone. We're waiting for someone and our food." Elyon says, looking at the orange-haired boy with a frown. But Uriah just grins...

"Why not? I mean, we're here and we could take this moment to get familiar with each other." Uriah says, with his grin growing massive. The girls frown, and were about to say something, but stopped when they noticed someone standing behind Uriah and his group.

"No, I don't think so." Hay-Lin says

"Why? I mean, we can keep you girls company." Uriah says, but the girls smirk as they look behind them.

"No, because of him." Irma says as she points behind them with a smirk. Uriah and his group turn around, only to freeze in seeing Naruto standing there, staring at Uriah as he somehow held 6 food trays in his arms.

"Hey, Uriah." Naruto greets the orange-haired boy, who stiffens at the sight of the blonde-haired boy

"Oh…h-h-hey Naruto. How are you doing?" Uriah greets back

"I'm fine. That was until I saw you trying to mess around with my friends. Is there something you want with them?" Naruto asks, his bright blue eyes slowly shifting to chilled icy blue, and Uriah started to freak out

"N-N-No, no man. I was just…uhh…you know…politely greeting the new girl." Uriah stutters, back peeling as his expression from cocky to frighten. He turns to his two friends and stares at them, gesturing at them to help. "R-R-R-Right, guys?" He asks, and his friends nod along

"Y-Y-Yeah/T-Totally, dude." Uriah's friends quickly agree to Uriah's excuse. Naruto stares at each of them, slowly looking at their expressions to see any lie. And while he could see and even sense it, he just shrugged.

"I see." Naruto says, liking seeing them squirm at his presence. Uriah and his friends started to leave before they could leave, Naruto decides to mess with them." He says, moving his "Oh, and boys. Be sure to check your pants again, we wouldn't want another itching incident." He says with a smirk, watching Uriah and his friends flinch as they hurry away. The girls see the trio of boys leaving with their tails between their legs. Seeing this, the girls, minus Will, started to laugh.

"Hahahaha!" The girls laughed while Will was confused by what had happened

"Uh…what was that?" Will asks, wondering what was going on. The others hear her and turn to her as they start to calm down, while Naruto starts to place the food trays onto their table

"Oh, right. Uriah and his group are afraid of Naruto." Hay-Lin says, making Will look at her with a raised eyebrow

"Really?" Will asks as Naruto sits down next to Elyon.

"Yep. Ever since I came here and since Uriah found out about me, he decided on his own to make me his rival in skateboarding, but that's a one-sided rivalry since I don't see him as my rival. I see him as a cocky, arrogant idiot who thinks he's a big shot. He's tried to beat me at anything we compete in, and he failed. So, he's tried to one-up me in anything I'm in and also fails every time. Eventually, I started to ignore him and his friends. But one day, he started to bully others, and when I found out about it. When I did find out about that, I had to do something about it. So I did what I do best against him. I pranked him and his buddies, hard." Naruto says with a mischievous tone in his voice.

"What did you do?" Will asks, and Naruto starts to grin

"One day, during P.E., I went to the locker room when no one was looking and sprayed itching powder onto Uriah and his friends' clothes. After that, I went back into the gym and waited for nature to take its course. Once everyone finished with the lesson and went back to the lockers to change back, it was almost instant, Uriah and his friends felt the powder working and they couldn't stop itching for a while, even on the next two days, the powder was absorbed into their skin from all the running they did at P.E.. Oh, it was a good day to see that." Naruto finishes his tale with his grin, which grew bigger as he spoke

Hearing this, Will couldn't help but feel a shiver go down her spine, seeing how evil his prank was

"That is…evil…but…deserved." Will says that even she couldn't help but see how Uriah and his friends acted when they showed up

"Yep." The other girls agree. They started eating their lunches while Will pulled out her homemade one from her backpack and started eating along in silence. After a while, Naruto swallows a bite of his sandwich.

"So, what are your girls planning on wearing on Friday?" Naruto asks

"I don't know. Maybe like a dress or something." Cornelia says, shrugging her shoulders

"I'll probably do the same as well." Irma says, but she had this irritated expression, as those who know her, she isn't fond of dresses.

"I don't know at the moment." Taranee says, with Elyon nodding along

"I have something in mind." Hay-Lin says with a smile as she looks at Naruto. "And you still need to come over later today to finish up yours." She says while giving him a stern stare, as Naruto just shrugs his shoulders

"Yeah, yeah." Naruto says. Will, meanwhile, was confused by what they were talking about

"Umm…what's happening on Friday?" Will asks as everyone turns to her

"Oh, right. We're talking about the Halloween dance that's happening on Friday, and we are talking about

"There's going to be a dance?" Will asks as the others nod

"Yep." Irma says. "And we're going to it." She says

"I see…" Will says as she has a slight frown. The others saw this and

"Do you want to go to the dance?" Hay-Lin asks

"I…don't know. I am new here and I don't know anyone who'd want me to come along." Will says, looking down at the table while having a sad expression. The others saw this and they felt bad for Will, since they knew what it's like being in a new school. They looked at each other and had a mental conversation with one another as they nodded and looked back at Will.

"You can come with us if you want." Naruto suggests. Will looks up from the table at them, and she has a surprised expression.

"R-Really?" Will asks as she sees them smile and nod

"Yeah, like you said, you're new here, and since you need friends. We can be your friends." Naruto says, as Will looks at them

"A-Are you sure?" Will asks as the others nod

"Of course, Will. You can happily join us on Friday night as friends." Irma says.

Will looks at them, and she could feel that they were being genuine about their intention, and she couldn't help but smile slightly.

"T-Thank you guys, I'd love to be friends with you all." Will says, and the others nod, showing their acceptance of her in their friend group

"Now, let's get started on what we'll wear." Hay-Lin says, sparking the conversation back to their outfits for Friday's event.

After a long, uneventful day at school, our group of friends left campus and each other parted ways to their homes, with Naruto accompanying Hay-Lin to her family's home/restaurant so she could do the finishing touches on his outfit for Friday's dance.

And we currently see Hay-Lin busy adding the final details to Naruto's outfit with him wearing it, standing completely still for her to do her work, but he moves when he feels a pinch coming from one of Hay-Lin's needles digging into his skin.

"Stop moving around or I won't get done with your outfit, Naru." Hay-Lin says as Naruto just chuckles

"I know, I know. Sorry, it's just you pinching me with those needles of yours. It's kinda of hard not to move around when you pinch me." Naruto says, making Hay-Lin realize he was telling the truth, and she blushes slightly as she realizes her mistake

"Yeah, my bad." Hay-Lin says with a sheepish smile as she goes back to work on the costume. While she was working on adding the final touches to his outfit

"How much longer do I have to stand for? My arms are starting to ache." Naruto says, feeling his arms starting to stiffen and ache. Hay-Lin just raises a finger at him.

"Just a little bit more." Hay-Lin says as she puts in the final piece in his costume, "And we're done." She says, making Naruto sigh in relief

"Finally." Naruto says, he drops his arms and starts to rotate them as he tries to regain the feeling in them. "Man, that sucked." He says as Hay-Lin just sheepishly rubs the back of her head

"Sorry, I had you do that for a long time. I know how it is to do that." Hay-Lin says

"It's fine, Hay-Hay." Naruto says, he stops rotating his arms and looks at the mirror to see how he looks in his costume. And from how he looked, he was impressed, even to the point where he whistled. "But holy crap, Hay, you out did yourself this time." He confesses, checking himself out

"T-Thanks, it was easy to get the look down. Especially with all the photos you gave me to work from." Hay-Lin says as she was busy putting away her sewing kit, Naruto, meanwhile, was busy taking off his costume.

"So, what does your outfit look like?" Naruto asks, taking off the top of his costume. Hay-Lin smiles and turns around to face him as she goes to the side of her room. She moves some of her stuff before she finds what she was looking for. She looks at it and smiles as she turns back to Naruto before flashing her outfit to him.

"Oh yeah, I had this idea of my outfit, it's so witchy." Hay-Lin says as Naruto looks at it, and he whistles.

"Wow, it's really good, Hay-Hay. You outdid yourself." Naruto says, causing Hay-Lin to smile

"I know. I'm so proud of myself." Hay-Lin says, beaming a bright, proud smile at her handiwork. Suddenly, the door to her room gets knocked as the two turn to it. Hay-Lin places her outfit down on her bed and walks over to it. She opens her door and looks to find her Grandma, Yan-Lin, standing there. "Oh, hey, Grandma."

"Hello Hay-Lin. And hello to you to Naruto." Yan-Lin greets as she looks into Hay-Lin's room and sees Naruto standing there.

"Hey Yan-Obaa." Naruto greets the kind elderly woman whom he sees as his grandmother.

"I am fine. Are you staying for dinner?" Yan-Lin asks as Naruto raises an eyebrow

"No, I don't think so. Why?" Naruto asks, wondering why she would ask

"Because look outside." Yan-Lin says, pointing towards the window. The two teens turned towards the window and saw raindrops hitting the window as heavy rain was occurring outside

"Oh no…" Naruto utters, now realizing he was stuck at Hay-Lin's house. "I need to call my mom…" He says, now looking for his phone to call his Mom to pick him up, when Yan-Lin giggles softly as Naruto looks at her

"Don't worry, Kushina called in and she will come over here for dinner." Yan-Lin says, and Naruto lets out a sigh of relief upon hearing

"Oh, thank God. Don't scare like that." Naruto says while Hay-Lin and Yan-Lin giggle. Yan-Lin then stops giggling and looks at the two

"So, what are you kids doing?" Yan-Lin asks as Hay-Lin beams from the question

"Oh, we were just going over our costumes for Halloween and the dance." Hay-Lin says with a bright smile

"I see." Yan-Lin says, knowing how much her granddaughter and "honorary grandson" spent time on their costumes. "And how do they look now?" She says

"Oh, one second." Hay-Lin says as she and Naruto go over to their costumes before showing them off to Yan-Lin

"Oh, I see. They look amazing." Yan-Lin says, compliments on how the costumes looked

"Really?" Naruto asks, Yan-Lin nods, and the teens smile at the praise. "Thanks, Yan-Obaa." He says

"Yeah, I love how I made mine look so very witch-like." Hay-Lin says, holding hers close. She doesn't see how Yan-Lin freezes in her spot after she heard what Hay-Lin said, which caused her to drop some of the things she had in her hands. This alerted the teens as they looked at her and were concerned. "Grandma, are you alright?" She asks, and Yan-Lin blinks as she was brought out of her thoughts

"H-Huh? Oh, yes. I'm fine, I was just thinking of something." Yan-Lin says, waving the teens off. She bends down and grabs the items she dropped before she looks back up at the teens. "Well, I'll leave you two to your business. I need to go and help get dinner ready." She says, nodding to the two as she turns around and heads toward the door.

"Oh, okay." Hay-Lin says, she and Naruto watched as Yan-Lin reached the door and saw her leave the room. "I wonder what that was all about." She says, turning to Naruto, who shrugs his shoulders

"I have no idea." Naruto says. Suddenly, they hear a phone ringing, and they hear indicating it was Naruto's phone ringing. "Hmm? Someone's calling me." He says as he goes and grabs his phone to see who was calling him, only to find it was… "Cornelia? What's she calling me for?" He asks, wondering why she was calling him

"You should take it." Hay-Lin suggests, as Naruto nods

"Good idea, I'll be back." Naruto says as he heads to the door and leaves the room to answer the call, leaving Hay-Lin

"Now…what should I do…" Hay-Lin says to herself as she sees the state of her room, which is dirty. What she didn't notice was a dust ball floating in the air and were nearing her nose.

Meanwhile, with Naruto, he stops in the hallway, leans against the wall as he opens his phone, and answers the call.

"Hey Cornelia, what's up?" Naruto says through the call and hears shuffling on Cornelia's end as she speaks

"Hey Naruto. Not much. What are you doing?" Cornelia asks as more shuffling could be

"I'm at Hay-Lin's house, we were just busy doing the final touches on our costumes and all that jazz." Naruto says

"Oh, I see. And they're good?" Cornelia says while more shuffling was made at her end of the call

"Yeah, everything is alright." Naruto says, but he was frowning as he was curious about what could be happening at Cornelia's end

"That's good." Cornelia says while more shuffling was made, but Naruto decides that he needed to know what was going on

"Are you okay? Sounds like you're going through the ringer over." Naruto says, sounding concerned as he hears Cornelia sigh

"Sorry, it's just my sister is running around and I'm trying to keep up with her, but she's a slippery one since she slips by under my legs." Cornelia says while Naruto hears giggling from her end, presuming it to be her sister.

"Oh, now I understand." Naruto says. While he was an only child, he did understand from seeing how life could be with younger siblings from what he saw with Irma and Cornelia and their siblings. "Well, I'm sure you can get your sister under care." He says

"Yeah, I hope." Cornelia says. After a while, Cornelia speaks again. "Since we're already talking about the Halloween dance, I have a favor to ask of you." She says, gaining Naruto's attention

"Sure, what's up?" Naruto asks, wondering what Cornelia wanted

"Can you go along with me and my sister for Trick or Treating?" Cornelia asks

"Ah…may I ask why?" Naruto asks

"See, my sister wants to go Trick or Treating and wants me to come along, and I don't want to. But my Mom wants me to do, much to my annoyance, so I wanted to know if you could come along." Cornelia says

"I don't know…I'm not sure if I can. I promise Hay-Lin that me and I will go to the dance together." Naruto says, rubbing the back of his head.

"Please, Naruto, I need your help in this." Cornelia says, practically begging him to help her for me

"Alright, fine. I'll come along with you and Lillian." Naruto says, and he hears her sigh

"Thank you so much. You have no idea how much this means to me." Cornelia says, with Naruto smiling at that

"Yeah, it's fine." Naruto says while rubbing the back of his head. "I guess we're going Trick or Treating."

"Yeah, I guess we are." Cornelia says, but then, Naruto suddenly hears giggling and a sharp intake of air. "Lillian! Stop running through my legs, you're gonna trip me."

"Who are you talking to? Is it your boyfriend?" Naruto hears a young girl's voice from the call as he hears Cornelia spattering

"W-W-What?! No! He's just a friend." Cornelia stammers

"Liar!" Lillian yells, giggling as well

"Shut up!" Cornelia shouts, which causes Naruto to hear Lillian squeal, and footsteps could be heard from the background. "I have to go and deal with my sister. I'll see you later." She says

"OK." Naruto says as he hears her drop the call. He looks at his flip-phone for a bit, wondering if Cornelia was going to be alright in dealing with her sister, considering how hyperactive she was as he had met her from time to time when their mom and his mom met up.

Giving a hopeful prayer for Cornelia, Naruto puts his phone into his pocket before he walks back to Hay-Lin's room to tell her what Cornelia had told her. When he reached the door, and opened it. When he did, he was surprised to see the state of her room. While it was messy when he left to take the call, it was even messier than before, as there were items scattered across her room and floor.

"What the…?" Naruto utters, looking at the state of the room before he turns to Hay-Lin, who was standing in the middle of the room. "What happened?" He asks.

"I…I don't know. After you left, I was going to do some work when I sneezed, and then a huge gush of wind and everything suddenly got blown away." Hay-Lin says, and Naruto looks at her with a surprised expression.

"Really?" Naruto asks as Hay-Lin nods

"Yeah." Hay-Lin says, Naruto frowns while he puts his hand to his chin

"Weird…" Naruto says, and once again, Hay-Lin nods

"I know…it was weird…" Hay-Lin says

"Yeah…maybe we should start tidying before dinner." Naruto says as Hay-Lin nods and the two start cleaning her room

What the teens didn't see was that Yan-Lin was near the room, hearing what was said.

"So…it has begun…Hay-Lin has been chosen." Yan-Lin says to herself as she sighs. She then reaches into her kimono. She pulls out the same pendant she used to heal Kushina and looks at it to see it glow slightly. "Soon, the others will be chosen…" She says, knowing the time she had been waiting for was nearing, and she was hoping that they'd be ready for what was to come.

A few days later, it's the day of the dead, All Hallows' Eve, or better known as Halloween. The city was busy with life as the residents roamed the city to go to various parties or to do something else.

But our focus isn't on them. No, instead we find ourselves in a neighborhood where countless kids were roaming around the streets, holding onto bags that were shaped as carved pumpkin heads, which were filled with various candies inside them.

At a door of a house, someone rings the doorbell and waits for someone to open the door. And they didn't have to wait long, as the door opened and an older woman appeared

"Hello?" The woman says, looking around for who was with her. She spots a few people standing and knew what they were there for. "Oh, well, what do we have here?" She asks, smiling.

"Trick or Treat!" A young blonde girl eagerly yells, flashing a bright smile as she holds out her bag. The girl was dressed in a bright pink gown with a tiara as she held out her candy bag. She was with two people, and they were Cornelia and Naruto. Cornelia was also wearing a light pink floral crop-top that exposed her midriff, a dark pink dress, and she also had on a blue hoodie. Naruto was standing next to her, and he was wearing a black ninja-like outfit with a red scarf around his neck with red accents around the outfit, while he had on a mask that also had red accents on it that ran over his eyes (1). He also had on a black hoodie

"Well, isn't this lovely to see. We have a princess, a ninja, and…what are you, dearie?" The woman asks, looking at Cornelia with a raised eyebrow

"I'm also a princess, just this one's older sister." Cornelia says as she places her hand onto Lillian's hair, causing the young girl to giggle

"Ah, I see. Well, your outfits are amazing. Did you make them yourselves?"

"No, we have a friend who made them for us."

"Oh wow, this friend of yours is incredibly talented to have made your costumes." The woman says, showing she was impressed by how the kids' outfits

"Yeah, they are." Cornelia says, smiling while Naruto nods

"Well, let me not hold you kids any longer. I'm sure you have more houses to get to tonight." The woman says, but the teens shake their heads

"Nah, this is our last house. We have a party to get too." Naruto says, and the woman nods in understanding

"Oh, I see. In that case. I'll get you kids moving." The woman says before she reaches over to the side as she reveals a bowl filled with candy. "Now, line up to get your candy." She says, and the kids did line up, and the woman handed them candy

"Thank you." The three say as the woman smiles

"It's alright. I hope you all have a wonderful evening and party." The woman says as she waves the three kids goodnight, and they do the same.

"Thank you, you too." The kids say as the woman retreats into her house, while the kids walk away and back onto the sidewalk where the streetlight shines down on them. While walking down the sidewalk, Lillian started looking through her candy bag and was delighted at the haul.

"Look at all this candy! I can't wait to munch on them." Lillian says, her eyes sparkling at the sight of the treats. But before she could even try to eat one of them, Cornelia stopped her.

"Don't think about eating all of that in one sitting since you'll get a tummy ache." Cornelia says, looking at her little sister, who turns to her with

"But Cornelia, I wanna have some." Lillian says, flashing her sister a puppy-eyed expression. But Cornelia didn't waver at all.

"No, Mom said you can't have some while outside. Only when we get home can you have some there." Cornelia says as she looks at Lillian with a stern expression. Seeing the expression, Lillian knew she couldn't win, so she pouted and crossed her arms.

"Fine…" Lillian huffs, not happy about the situation, while Cornelia smiles at the sight

"You handle that well, I couldn't imagine how I could have dealt with that." Naruto whispers toward Cornelia, who flips her hair back with a smug smile

"You learn from the best." Cornelia says. They continue their walk down the sidewalk up until they reach an apartment building where a woman who shared striking resembles to Cornelia, but she wore glasses and had a bob haircut, was standing at the entrance of building while holding a red and black BMX bike that front and black pegs attached to it as two helmets were strapped onto the handlebars. Lillian sees the woman standing, and she smiles.

"Mommy!" Lillian yells as she rushes towards the woman, who sees her running and crouches down, allowing the little girl to jump into her arms.

"Hello, sweetie." The woman, now seeming to be Lillian and Cornelia's Mom, says as she looks at Lillian. "How was Trick or Treating?" She asks

"It was great. Look at how many candies I got!" Lillian yells, as she shows her bag to her Mom, showing the amount of sweet treats

"I see. Well, I'm happy that you got all these sweets." Lillian's Mom says as she stands up and looks at the two teens. "Hello, Naruto." She greets Naruto

"Hello, Mrs. Hale. How are you this evening?" Naruto asks

"I'm doing alright. How's your mother? Is she doing well and the dojo?" Mrs. Hale asks

"Yeah, she's alright. The dojo's running pretty well, she got a few new students who signed up earlier in the month." Naruto says as Mrs. Hale nods in understanding

"Oh, that's good to hear. I'm glad she's doing well." Mrs. Hale says before she looks at Naruto and Cornelia with a worried expression. "Well, I'll let you two go on your way to the dance. Just be safe while going there, since it's night now and Halloween, you'll never know what could happen with all these people out there tonight." She says, and the two teens nod

"Yes, ma'am/Mom." Naruto and Cornelia say

"Good." Mrs. Hale says before she looks at Lillian. "Let's go, Lillian. It's almost your bedtime. You can eat some of your candy tomorrow." She says as she bends down and picks up Lillian and holds her arms.

"Okay." Lillian says while she looks at her sister and friend. "Goodnight, Naruto and Sis." She says, before letting out a small yawn while placing her head onto her mom's shoulder, as Mrs. Hale turns around and proceeds to walk back into the apartment complex. Seeing her Mom and sister entering the apartment complex, Cornelia turns and looks at smirks.

"So, shall we?" Cornelia asks. Naruto turns to her, and he also smirks

"Yes, let's." Naruto says as he and Cornelia walk over to his BMX. Reaching his BMX, the two took off their helmets from the handlebars and placed them onto their heads and strapped them on before they got the BMX, with Naruto sitting on the bike while Cornelia stepped onto the rear pegs, standing on them before she grabbed Naruto's shoulders. "Ready?" He asks, looking at his fellow blonde, who looks at him and nods

"Yep, let's go!" Cornelia yells, making Naruto chuckle as they take off down the street, riding down towards the city and heading to their school.

As they made their way, the two traveled through the streets and buildings, seeing how crowded they were, and they noticed this.

"A lot of people are out tonight." Naruto says

"No surprise there, considering it is Halloween and a Friday night. It was expected of people to be out since they might want to relax and spend time with their friends." Cornelia says as Naruto nods

"True." Naruto says. "You think the girls are at the dance already?" He says, looking at Cornelia as she shrugs her shoulders

"Maybe. I mean, we did spend a lot of time trick-or-treating with Lillian. There is a possibility that they're there already." Cornelia says

"Yeah, maybe." Naruto says as they fall into a comfortable silence while riding down the street.

Crossing over a bridge that took them over to the next island, the two continue to ride through the city for about 45 minutes until they spot their school in range.

"And we're here!" Naruto says, seeing their school coming up while passing by multiple cars parked along the street

"Looks like the party has already started." Cornelia says, hearing music coming from the gymnasium. She looks up at the sky and sees clouds beginning to gather and darken, showing signs of rain incoming. "Let's quickly head in before it starts raining on us." She says, Naruto looks up at the sky as well, and also sees the clouds

"Good idea." Naruto says as he speeds up towards the gate before they come to a stop at it, and the two get off Naruto's BMX while they take off their helmets. After strapping their helmet to the handlebars, Naruto locks his bike to a pole with a chain as he looks at Cornelia. "Let's go inside." He says, and Cornelia nods

The two start walking toward the gymnasium as they notice decorations around the area, while music can be heard blasting from the inside. And once they entered the gymnasium, they saw that it was filled with fellow students and some teachers as who were there being the dance's chaperons.

"It's packed!" Naruto yells, looking at how packed the gymnasium is.

"I'll say!" Cornelia yells. She starts looking for the others. "Now, where could they be?" She asks, scanning the gymnasium for their friends.

"Naruto! Cornelia! Over here!" The pair hears someone yell at them as they turn and see Hay-Lin, Irma, and Elyon walking towards them.

"There they are!" Naruto says before the two walk over to the others and meet in the middle of the gym, surrounded by the other students. "Hey guys." He greets.

"Hey, you two, about time you guys finally showed up. We were starting to wonder if you were even going to come." Irma says as she crosses her arms while looking at the two with an amused smile.

"Yeah, we were busy with Lillian as we were trick or treating." Cornelia says

"Oh, okay." Irma says, nodding as she now understands why they were late. Elyon walks up to Cornelia, and she takes in her outfit.

"Wow, Cornelia. You look amazing in your outfit." Elyon says as Cornelia smiles at her. Elyon was wearing a forest green dress with a crown of leaves on her head, while her hair was in the same braids they were earlier, but at the ends of her braids had leaves attached to them.

"Thanks, Mom helped me pick out the dress, and she even helped adjust it to how it is right now." Cornelia says as she twirls around, showing off her outfit. Irma, meanwhile, looks at Naruto and takes in how he looks in his outfit.

"You look good too, Naruto. I'm loving the whole ninja vibe you're going for." Irma says she was wearing a blue dress that looked as if it had been made in a medieval setting. She also sees Naruto take off his mask and looks at her.

"You can thank Hay-Hay for that. She's the real mad genius here when it comes to making sick clothes." Naruto says as he gestures at Hay-Lin, who becomes flustered at the praise while looking to the side

"Awww, it was nothing." Hay-Lin says, rubbing the back of her head. She was wearing a purple kimono, with a dark purple obi that was tied with a purple obijime that was hanging around her waist, where some of the same string tied around her hands and some around her neck as a makeshift choker, had on light purple leggings and black boots. She also had on a pair of purple-framed goggles.

Seeing her reaction, Naruto goes over to Hay-Lin and wraps his arm around her shoulders and pulls her into a hug, which surprises her.

"Hey, don't you dare try and sell yourself short Hay-Hay, you have a talent in fashion, and I can see you making outfits for high-profile gigs like Fashion Week or something like that. Just you wait, since the world is not going to be ready for you." Naruto says. Hay-Lin smiles at this praise as she hugs him back.

"T-Thanks for the encouraging words, Naru." Hay-Lin says, liking the hug. However, this wholesome moment was interrupted by a cough as the two turned and saw Irma looking at them with a smirk.

"Okay, that's enough, you lovebirds." Irma says, smirking as she sees the two finally realize their positions. They separate from each other as they blush while Irma laughs, causing Hay-Lin to glare at her.

"That wasn't funny, Irma." Hay-Lin hisses while Irma wipes a tear away from her eye as she looks at her Chinese friend

"Oh, it seemed pretty funny to me." Irma says while Cornelia and Eylon giggle

The music changes, and Elyon hears the song as she starts moving to it

"Oh, I love this song." Elyon yells, jamming to the song as she grabs Naruto's hand, surprising the boy. "C'mon, Naruto, let's dance." She says, as she starts dragging Naruto towards the dancefloor

"Whoa, Elyon. You don't have to drag me to come and dance." Naruto says while trying not to fall. Irma and Cornelia were looking at this scene with mild amusement before turning to Hay-Lin as they saw her standing there while her hands clutched

"So, when are you going to tell him? Cause eventually, someone is going to take him away." Irma says this causes Hay-Lin's left eye to start twitching.

"Shut up, Irma…" Hay-Lin hisses, but Irma just decided to wrap her arm around her Chinese friend

"What, I'm just trying to motivate you. That's all." Irma says that Hay-Lin's twitching got worse. Seeing this, Cornelia decides to step in.

"Okay, Irma. Stop messing with the poor girl. Or else she could blow a gasket." Cornelia says, getting in between Irma and Hay-Lin so that nothing bad would happen. "Let's not try and kill one another and just get on the dancefloor before it gets too full." She says. Irma and Hay-Lin look at one another before Hay-Lin sighs and nods.

"Fine..." Hay-Lin says as she starts walking over to where Naruto and Elyon were dancing together, and joins in. Meanwhile, Cornelia turns to Irma and

"You had to go there?" Cornelia asks, while Irma holds her hands up

"Hey, you've seen how Elyon looks at him, and she does as well. She needs to go on the advance, or else someone like Elyon or another girl takes him." Irma says

"Yeah, but let her get to it on her own. She'll get him…eventually…" Cornelia says, but she didn't sound so convinced by her own words.

"Yeah, sure." Irma says. "Let's just go dancing." She says before walking away to join the others, Cornelia follows shortly after and joins in as they all dance.

They continued to dance and have fun as the night started going along, just enjoying the evening's fun.

Eventually, the group of friends had left the dance floor and were at the punch bowl, filling their plastic cups with the beverage.

Hay-Lin quickly took a sip of her punch as she let out a sigh of relief

"Man, that hit the spot." Hay-Lin says, as she and the others were standing by the table, with their cups in hand.

"Yeah, you're talking to me. Dancing in this is a struggle." Irma says, while she was fidgeting with her dress

"Still don't like dresses, huh, Irma?" Naruto asks as Irma nods and drops her dress

"Dresses aren't my style. Never have been and never will be." Irma says

"Where is Taranee? She should have been by now." Elyon says, looking at her phone, seeing the time, and seeing that it was 11:00 p.m., and was getting worried about her

"Not just her, but also Will. She isn't here as well." Naruto says

"Do you think something happened?" Irma asks, starting to get worried

"I don't know. Maybe they didn't want to come to the dance." Hay-Lin says, thinking that would be the case, but Naruto shakes his head

"After we were talking about it. That's no way they're not coming. Maybe they're running late." Naruto suggests, shrugging his shoulders

"Maybe." Irma says. While the others were talking, Cornelia heard her phone beep, and she took it out to see what was going on, only to see she had received a text. One from Taranee. She reads and hums

"Oh, never mind. They're here." Cornelia says, causing everyone else to turn to her

"Huh? What do you mean by that?" Elyon asks while Cornelia places her phone away

"Taranee just texted. She arrived with Will, and they just got here." Cornelia says as she drinks the remains of her punch before throwing the cup into a trash can nearby. "I'll go out and meet them at the door. I'll be back." She says before leaving the others, as she makes her way through the gym towards the door.

"Oh, okay." Hay-Lin says as they see Cornelia disappear into the crowd. As they were at the table, Hay-Lin turned to the others. "What do you guys think they're dressed as?" She asks as the others looked at each other

"Maybe some monster-related? Who knows." Naruto says, shrugging his shoulders

"Hey guys!" They hear Cornelia's voice cutting through the crowd as they turn and see her approaching them, but she wasn't alone, Taranee and Will were with her. Taranee was wearing a red polo dress that had a flower pattern on the skirt while also wearing a pair of red and silver sneakers. Will's outfit was something else, she was wearing a silk black halter dress that had a black flower attached to the end of the dress's straps, a black witch hat, and had on a pair of maroon boots.

"Hey guys, sorry we're late. We had to go to my place to get my clothes before going over to Will's home so she could get her outfit, and we didn't see how late it getting and rushed over here as best we could, with all the traffic and all." Taranee says, looking a bit sheepish, while Will just rubs her right arm. Fortunately, the others waved their hands at the two.

"It's fine. At least you guys got here." Irma says

"Yeah, we got here a bit after the party started. So no harm done." Naruto says as Cornelia also nodded. Meanwhile, Hay-Lin smirks

"Besides, your excuse sounds more believable compared to what Irma's was." Hay-Lin says as Irma turns to her and gives a stern expression

"Oh, haha. Very funny." Irma says, crossing her arms as the others look at her

"What? What did she say?" Cornelia asks as Irma sighs

"Most of my clothes changed form and color from how they used to be." Irma says, this causes everyone else to look at her while Hay-Lin and Elyon start giggling as Irma glares at them. "It's true! Believe it or not!" She yells at the two, who continue to giggle

"I believe you." Will says, stepping forward to defend Irma, who was grateful for the red hair. What Will didn't notice was Naruto walking up to her from behind.

"Hey ya, Will." Naruto greets Will as the redhead turns around and sees him standing in front, and she was surprised

"O-Oh, hey Naruto." Will says as she looks at him

"How are you?" Naruto asks

"I'm a-alright. And how are you?" Will asks as she fiddles with her fingers

"I'm fine." Naruto says as he looks at her and takes notice of it. "That's your outfit?" He asks as Will looks down at her outfit, and she looks back at him before nodding. "It looks really nice." He says, catching Will off guard

"R-Really? Will asks, her cheeks lighting in a shade of red

"Yeah, you look cute in it. It fits you well." Naruto says as he flashes a bright smile. Will, meanwhile, her blush reddens while she fiddles with her fingers still

"Hey," The group turns at the sound of someone speaking to them as they turn to see a boy who was dressed as a mummy, holding a camera, looking at them. "You guys up for a photo for the yearbook?" The boy asks, holding his camera up as the group looks at each other before they shrug

"Sure, why not?" Naruto says

"Great. Now, get into the pose you want to do for the photo." The boy says as the group moves around and gets into positions while striking the poses they chose. "Ready?" The boy asks, holding his camera up for the photo.

"Yep!" The group yells

"Say Halloween!" The boy says

"Halloween!" The group shouts as the picture gets taken

"How did it look?" Cornelia asks as the boy looks at his camera to see just how the photo and he smiles

"Great. It looked great." The boy says, liking how the photo

"Awesome." Irma says, liking to hear that. "Think we could get some copies?" She asks, wanting to see how the photo turned out.

"Maybe…for the right price." The boy says as he wiggles his fingers while he looks at Naruto. Seeing this, Naruto lets out a sigh, knowing what he wants.

"We can talk about that later. That sounds good?" Naruto asks, and the boy smiles

"Sure, we can talk about this later." The boy says as Naruto just waves his hand at him

"Yeah, yeah. I know." Naruto says, and the boy nods

"Good. I'll see ya later." The boy says as he turns around and processes to walk away.

"What was that about Naruto?" Hay-Lin asks, and Naruto just waves her off

"Something I want, he wants. That's all I'll have to say." Naruto says, making all of the girls look at him

"Okay…" Irma says as she and the others look at Naruto with weird looks before she claps her hands, drawing the others' attention. "Well, with that out of the way, let's get back to the party." She says

"Okay. Let's get back to dancing." Taranee says, the others look at her and just shrug their shoulders

"Sure." Cornelia says as everyone drops their cups before they walk back to the dancefloor and resumes dancing.

However, while they were dancing, two newcomers entered the gym. One of them was a young man who had long blonde that that reached the middle of his back while two bangs hung on the sides. He wore a red jacket, with a grey sweater under the jacket, a pair of black pants, and black shoes. His face was also covered in white paint, with red paint painted across his eyes. There was someone with him. He was a large person who had blue skin with some bones on various bone-like patches on his face. He wore a green jacket with a green shirt with a purple scarf around his neck, and a pair of grey pants and black shoes.

"Are you sure she's here?" The blonde man asks, turning to the blue-skinned guy, who nods

"Yes, master. She is. And the one from before is here as well." The blue-skinned guy says

"I see…" The blonde says, thinking for a moment before he nods. "Go and capture the redhead when the opportunity presents itself, Vathek. I will seek out the one and measure how much work we have to do." He says, and hearing this, the blue-skinned "man", now known as Vathek, nods and smirks

"Or course, master! In this bustle, no one will notice me." Vathek says as the two proceed to walk to the side of the gym, where they'll wait for their moment to strike.

Meanwhile, the group noticed the two's arrival and were wondering just who they were

"Who are they?" Hay-Lin asks, with her googles now on her face as she looks at the two

"I have no clue. Never seen them before." Taranee says

"Maybe they're someone's parents." Cornelia suggests that it could be time for some of the students to go home

"That could be possible." Naruto says, shrugging his shoulders since he didn't know how to say it. Elyon stops dancing as she feels thirsty and decides she needs to get a drink

"I'll be back, guys, I'm going to get a drink." Elyon says to the others, who look at her and nod

"Oh, okay." Cornelia says to her friend, who smiles as she turns and leaves towards the punch bowl. Meanwhile, while the others were still having fun, the boy who took their group photo approached them again with his camera.

"Hey, want another photo? Just me and you." The boy says, looking especially at Irma as he

"Disappear, Martin." Irma says as she and the others turn away from the boy, as they continue to have their fun. However, they weren't aware that the boy, Martin, had vanished from sight as Irma looked at the others. "So, what are your plans for the weekend?"

"I don't know, could watch some of my shows or even play some game. Maybe I might hit the skate park and finally get my combo down." Nar

"What's it called again?" Hay-Lin asks as she sees him try said combo

"Fakie Benihana-Superman-Sex Change Ollie. I still need to name the full combo…" Naruto says.

Back to the two strange men, they see Elyon walking away from her friends and realize that this was their moment to strike.

"Now, Vathek." The blonde man commands, the blue-skinned guy nods and grins

"Yes, Master." The blue-skinned "man" says as he sneaks away to the others where. Meanwhile, the blonde man proceeds to the punch table as he sees her drinking. While he was walking towards Elyon, someone noticed this and narrowed their eyes suspiciously.

Elyon was busy drinking her punch as a shadow loomed over her. she noticed this and turned around, and she saw the blonde man standing in front of her.

"Oh, uhmm…hi." Elyon awkwardly greets the stranger as she sees him smiling at her.

"Hello, Elyon." The man greets Elyon, being caught off guard by the man saying her name.

"You...how did you know my name? Who are you?" Elyon asks, wanting to know

"My name is…Rick (2) and I know a lot about you." The blonde man says, making Elyon look at the blonde man with a surprised expression.

"Really?" Elyon asks, and the blonde man nods

"Yes, I've been meaning to talk to you for a long time." The blonde man says before he holds his hand out towards her. "Please, if you wish to talk further, let's go and talk privately." He says, looking at Elyon with a smooth smile. But Elyon was feeling uncertain about the man.

"Uhhh…" Elyon utters as she stares at the hand in front of her. But before she could say anything, someone appeared behind them.

"Hey." The two hear someone speak as they turn and see Naruto standing there, looking at the man with a stern stare. "Everything okay here?" Naruto asks

"Why, yes, young man. Everything is fine. Why do you ask?" The blonde man asks, trying to sound fine, but Naruto wasn't buying that.

"Because I'm seeing a guy I've seen before, talking to my friend alone. That seemed suspicious for you to do. What do you want with my friend?" Naruto asks, his tone filled with hidden anger in his voice

"Nothing, young man. Nothing to worry about." The blonde man says, trying to sound assuring, which again, Naruto wasn't convinced.

"Is that so?" Naruto asks before he turns to Elyon and looks at her. "Elyon, you okay talking with this guy?" He asks.

Hearing this, Elyon started to look uncomfortable as the question loomed in the air.

"Uhmmm…" Elyon mutters as she shifts in place for a bit before she shakes her head. "No…" She utters softly as Naruto nods

"Okay." Naruto says before he turns back to the blonde man, as he glares at him. "You heard her, dude, she's not comfortable with you being near her. So back off…" He hisses at the man as he wasn't aware that his eyes momentarily flashed red for a moment

"Alright, I understand. I apologize for what I've done." The blonde man says with a sincere tone while Naruto rolls his eyes

"Yeah, yeah. Just get lost." Naruto hisses as the blonde man takes a few steps back while holding his hands out

"…Of course…" The blonde man says. He looks at Elyon for a bit before speaking. "Farewell, Elyon. I hope we meet again very soon." He says as he turns and leaves the two as they watch disappear into the crowd. Once they saw the man disappear, Naruto turned to Elyon, and his glare shifts to something soft.

"Are you alright, Elyon?" Naruto asks as Elyon blinks and looks at him

"Y-Yeah, I'm alright. Thank you, Naruto, for coming to help me." Elyon says, showing her gratitude as she smiles at him. Naruto just smiles and waves his hand at her

"No problem. I just have a question. What was that guy's deal with you?" Naruto asks as he looks at where the blonde man went. "Do you know that guy?" He asks as Elyon shakes her head

"I don't know who he was. But he knew who I was. He knew my name." Elyon says, and this catches Naruto's attention

"He did?" Naruto asks, and Elyon nods as Naruto once again looks back to where that man went. "OK, that's weird…and concerning…" He says that he felt that something was going on here that they were aware of at the moment

Suddenly, the two hear a loud crash nearby as they turn to see what happened and see the large blue-skinned guy stumble and crash onto the concessions table while he was had his hands up to his eyes

"What was that?" Elyon asks, wondering what that was about

"I have no idea?" Naruto says.

"Attention!" The two people speak loudly and turn to where it came from as they see their principal on the stage. "There are only three minutes until midnight, and where the lighting of the pumpkin, and before it's time for us to reveal the winner of the best costume." The principal said as everyone's attention was drawn to this, wanting to see if they had won. The jury was unanimous on this decision. Ladies and Gentlemen, here is the winner!" The principal yells as a spotlight shines down on the winner as Martin, who somehow reappeared, was being held by the blue-skinned "man" by one of his wrappings as Martin sees the spotlight and smiles

"Ohh, me? Martin asks, thinking he had won, but the principal shakes her head.

"I'm afraid not. I meant the one next to you." The principal says, pointing at the blue-skinned guy who was surprised at this, as everyone starts cheering, with some moving towards the blue-skinned "man" before they started to push him towards the door

"What's going on? Where's everyone going?" Taranee asks, wondering what was going on

"It's a tradition here. At midnight, when the party ends, the person with the best costume is chosen, and they'll light the pumpkin to celebrate Halloween." Hay-Lin explains as Taranee and Will understand

"Oh, okay. Now I see." Will says

"C'mon, let's go and see this." Irma says as the group rushes out of the gym and sees everyone pushing the blue-skinned "man" towards where the principal was standing, as she was in front of a large pumpkin while holding a lit torch. The other students were busy chanting Halloween while this was happening. The group hear some thunder abo.

"Let me go! Get off me! You shall regret this dearly!" The blue-skinned "man" was screaming as he was being pushed, trying to fight against this, but was failing until he was in front of the pumpkin

"Now, now. No need to be shy, my boy. It will be over quite soon." The principal says, as she grabs the blue-skinned "man"'s ear before she turns to the students. "Before we reveal who is behind this charming mask, you get the chance to light our bonfire." She says as the students cheer at this before the principal turns to the blue-skinned "man" as she holds out the torch at the blue-skinned "man". "Now, if you could light the pumpkin and take off the mask so we can end the party." She says, letting go of the blue-skinned "man"'s ear, allowing him to stand up straight as he looks down at the torch, and he smacks away the torch.

"Nobody treats Vathek like this!" The blue-skinned "man" yells, glaring at the principal while flashing his teeth. "You went too far, grotesque creature! You shall pay for this dearly…" He growls. This causes everyone to stop what they were doing and look at this scene in stunned silence as Will senses something coming from the blue-skinned "man".

'Wait…why did I get the feeling from him that he wants to kill the principal? Isn't that a bit of an overreaction?' Will thought. The principal looks at the blue-skinned "man" and narrows her eyes at him.

"You must be Samson from 9-B. I recognize your tone, boy, and I don't appreciate the way you speak to me like that." The principal says, looking at the blue-skinned "man", thinking it was a student she knew and was about to reprimand him, when someone walks up to the two of them.

"Ummm…I'm Samson, ma'am." A boy dressed as Frankenstein says, causing the principal to look at him and see that he was indeed Samson

"What? If you're Samson, then…who is this?" The principal asks, as she looks at the blue-skinned "man", wondering just who this person is.

But before anyone could even figure out just who the blue-skinned "man" was, the discarded torch that was smacked aside landed inside the pumpkin, and in an instant, a series of explosions went off as the pumpkin exploded and fireworks went around the area, shocking and frightening everyone.

"What the?!" One of the students yelled, looking around

"What's going on!?" Another student yells, not knowing what to do, as a stray firework lands and blows up next to a bunch of them. This prompts the students and staff to start running away from the scene for their safety.

Meanwhile, from afar, Uriah, who was dressed in a devil's costume, was watching the scene unfold and laughing at what was happening.

"Hahahaha! Oh man, look at all of them running away like scared little chickens!" Uriah says, laughing at the scene and loving the chaos. But his friends were watching the scene with mild concern.

"Dude, the fire is spreading." One of Uriah's friends says, seeing the fire quickly grow, that it could get out of control if something wasn't done soon

"Let's get out of here!" Will yells as she and the rest start running from the scene. But as they were running away, the blue-skinned "man" saw this and realized this was his chance to strike.

'That girl! My opportunity has come! This time, I will not fail!' The blue-skinned "man" thought before he chases after the group, he catches up with them and is behind Will, he was about to grab her when a stray firework rocketed towards him and exploded right at the side of his head, making him stumble around before he lands into the fountain.

The group continues to run away from the chaos, but Irma trips down as one of the stray fireworks soars through the air before it changes its flight path, and it heads straight towards Irma. Seeing this, Irma screams, which makes the others stop and turn to see what is about to happen.

"Irma!" Taranee yells, she rushes towards Irma as she was in front of her and holds her hands out at the incoming fireworks in hopes to use herself as a shield when her eyes turn burnt orange and something incredible happens. The firework that was coming towards them suddenly freezes in the middle of the air, which shocks not only Irma and Taranee, but also the rest who were watching this. "What the…?" The glasses wearing girl mutters, wondering what was going on with the firework that was frozen in mid-air while she was feeling a rush within he body. She lifts her arms and the firework changes direction as it flies up into the sky, making everyone sigh in relief, only for that change when the firework flew back down and hit the burning remains of the pumpkin right.

"Will!" Naruto yells before he runs towards Will and tackles her to the ground with him being on top of her, acting as a shield from the flames, which were raging towards them, alerting everyone else.

"Naruto! Will!" Hay-Lin screams, seeing the flames raging towards them and about to reach them. Taranee looks at this and gets terrified about her friends but she looks at her hands and a thought back at what happened with the firework as she aims her hands at the duo while her eyes once again flashes that burnt orange glow and just when the flames were about to reach the two, they suddenly parted away from the two, again shocking everyone else. Naruto feels the flames move as he looks and sees that they were safe and turns around to see Taranee with her hands raised at them, quickly realizing what was going on, he grabs Will and pulls her away from the fire until they were with the others as Taranee lowers her hands and the flames rage on. Naruto watches the flames as some of the teachers with fire extinguishers start dousing the fire before he turns to Will.

"Are you okay, Will?" Naruto asks, looking at Will, who doesn't move at first, before she starts to shake, then she leaps at Naruto as she wraps her arms around him

"Y-Yeah…I am. Thank you for saving me." Will says, tightening her hold onto Naruto, who just wraps his arms, holding her in a hug, while she begins to cry.

"Taranee…how did you do that…?" Elyon asks, as she and the others look at Taranee, who was looking at her hands with wide eyes, while the glow in her eyes fades.

"I…I don't know…" Taranee utters softly. "I honestly don't know…" She utters, looking at her hands in shock, wondering what is happening to her. Suddenly, raindrops start falling from the heavens, which helps the teachers as they extinguish the fire.

Unaware to everyone, two figures were watching the scene on top of the roof of the main school building.

"I apologize for my failure, Lord Cedric. The party is over." The blue-skinned "man", Vathek, says to the blonde man who was looking down at the scene, staring at the group with the girls joining in on comforting Will. Especially at Elyon, Will and Naruto

"Wrong Vathek. The party has only just begun." The blonde man, who wasn't actually named Rick, but instead was called Cedric, says. Knowing well that things were about to start, they needed to prepare for what was to come.

Sorry, I've been AWOL for months, as always, life has its ways of being unpredictable, but ay, at least I got this chapter done and hopefully I can get more chapters for not just this one done, but the rest of my other stories as well. So expect the incoming chapters that are coming.
