The Bird Pokemon of Legend
The next morning at the Crowd Tundra in the Loud Crowd's cabin, the Loud Crowd, Marnie, and Team Yell were at the dining room table, eating scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, and orange juice.
"This is so good!" said a male Team Yell member before taking a bite out of a strip of bacon.
"Thanks." said Clyde as he eats.
"So what are we going to do today?" asked Lana.
"Is there any more legendary Pokemon around here that we haven't seen yet?" asked Lincoln as Marnie sat next to him.
Just then, a knocking was heard from the Loud Crowd's cabin's front door.
"I got it, dudes." said Sam as she gets up; she walks over to the door and opens it, revealing Peonia.
"Morning, everyone." Peonia said.
"Hi, Peonia." Clyde says from the table.
"Having breakfast?" Peonia asked as she sniffs the air. "It smells good."
"Would you like to join us?" asked Clyde.
"Sure." Peonia replied as she walks over to the table and takes a seat next to Clyde.
"Do you know if there's any other legendary Pokemon around the Crown Tundra area, Peonia?" Lana asked.
"Let me see the book that Dad's always trying to make me look at." said Peonia as she takes Peony's book out of her backpack and skims through it until she gets to a picture of a crudely-drawn tree with berries in it.
"What's that?" asked Clyde.
"This says 'When the sun reaches its zenith, it shines directly down upon a great tree that seems to burn. It is there that the legendary wings come to roost'." said Peonia.
"Legendary Wings?" Leni replied.
"Could be flying type Pokemon." suggested Ronnie Anne as she sits next to Lincoln as well.
"Where's the tree at?" asked Lincoln. "We could all go check it out."
"In a place called Dyna Tree Hill." said Peonia. Clyde takes his Rotom Phone out of his pocket and brings up the map.
"Looks like we have to follow the river we used to get to Three Point Pass, but in the opposite direction." said Clyde. "When we reach the end, we go to a place called Ballimere Lake; we go through there until we get to the big tree.
"That sounds easy enough." said Luna.
"After we eat and take care of the dishes, we'll head over there." said Lincoln.
"Let's hurry up so we can get going!" said Lana as she increases her eating pace, inadvertantly sending small chunks of food everywhere.
"Lana, you are disgusting!" said Lola.
"Thowwy, Wowa." Lana said with her mouth full, sending more chunks of food into Lola's face.
"Why you..." Lola shouts before she lunges at Lana and the two get into another fight cloud.
"Are they always like this?" Marnie asked Lincoln while ducking to avoid getting hit by a slice of buttered toast.
"Mostly." said Lincoln. "Rest of the time they're asleep."
After the fight stops, the mess the twin fight made was cleaned up, and the dishes were done; everyone gets into their winter gear and set off for Dyna Tree Hill.
As they travelled, Lana took the time to train her Elekid while Luna trained her Magby. After much training, Elekid and Magby both began glowing.
"Yeah; they're evolving!" said Luna. Everyone watched as Elekid and Magby began to grow. When they stopped glowing, Elekid now had a more bipedal, catlike appearance, and the horns on her head now looked like antennaes instead of prongs. Lana takes out her Rotom Phone and points it at ther newly evolved Elekid.
"Electabuzz, the Electric Pokemon, and the evolved form of Elekid. With the coming of a storm, many of these Pokémon will gather under tall trees and sit there waiting for lightning to strike." said Lana's Rotom Phone.
"Cool!" said Lana.
Magby was bigger, she had a tan beak, two lumps on her forehead with flames on top of them, red rigid scales covering her arms, yellow thighs with red feet, and a yellow tail with a flame on the tip of it. Luna takes out her Rotom Phone and points it at her newly evolved Magby.
"Magmar, the Spitfire Pokemon, and the evolved form of Magby. These Pokémon's bodies are constantly burning. Magmar are feared as one of the causes behind fires." said Luna's Rotom Phone.
"Awesome!" said Luna.
"Ready to do the mock trade, Luna?" Lana asked Luna.
"You bet, sis." said Luna. She and Lana used their Rotom Phones to trade Elekid and Magby, and shortly after, they traded them back to each other.
"So, what are your Pokemon like now?" asked Leni.
"Let's see." replied Lana, tossing her Electabuzz's pokeball and releases her; she was now bigger, bulkier, had black stripes over her now red eyes, a black circle on her forehead, and she had two black tails with red tips on them. Lana points her Rotom Phone at her newly evolved Electabuzz.
"Electivire, the Thunderbolt Pokemon, and the final evolved form of Elekid. In terms of electrical-energy output, Electivire is one of the best among all Electric Pokémon. It discharges high-voltage currents from its tails." said Lana's Rotom Phone.
"And my Rotom Phone says she now has the Motor Drive ability which increases her speed when she's hit by an electric type attack, and also prevents electric type attacks from harming her." said Lana.
Luna tosses her Magmar's Pokemon and releases her; Magmar now had a red and yellow striped, egg shaped torso, a black face with pink lips, a large yellow flame on top of her head, red flames on her shoulders and tail, and yellow, tubular arms with a black band around each of them, and three claws on the end of each arm. Luna takes out her Rotom Phone and points it at her newly evolved Magmar.
"Magmortar, the Blast Pokemon, and the final evolved form of Magby. Living in the crater of a volcano has caused this Pokémon's body to resemble its environment—it has an organ similar to a magma chamber." said Luna's Rotom Phone.
"That is so rad!" said Luna.
"Congratulations, you two." Lincoln says to Luna and Lana. After Luna returned her Magmortar to her pokeball and Lana returns her Electivire to hers, the group continued walking throughout the Crown Tundra until they finally arrived at the river they used to get through Roaring-Seas Cave.
"So, how do we get down this river?" asked Marnie.
"Our Rotom Bikes can travel on water." said Lana.
"But like I said before, those Rotom Bikes don't look like they can hold more than one person." said Peonia.
"We all don't have to go to where this tree is." said Marnie. She walks to Lincoln from behind and wraps her arms around his waist while nuzzling his back, making him blush. "I'll just wait here with Lincoln."
"YEAH!" cheered Team Yell with response.
"I'll wait with Lincoln, too." said Ronnie Anne as she glares at Marnie who glared at her back.
"BOOOOO!" yelled Team Yell.
"Oh, boo yourself!" replied Ronnie Anne.
"I'll wait here with Peonia." said Clyde, holding Peonia's hand, making her smile.
"Thanks, Clyde." said Peonia.
"If these Pokemon are flying types instead of fairy types, then I have no interest in them." said Lola. "I'll just stay around here and train my Pokemon for the Galar League."
"I guess it's just the rest of us, dudes." Luna say to Leni, Lucy, Lana, and Sam; they nod in response. They walk to the river and summon their Rotom Bikes; they climb on them and rode them up the river.
While Lola waited, she took the time to train her Pokemon. Her Ribombee learned Bug Buzz, her Rapidash learned Psychic, and her Primarina learned Hydro Pump.
"You think the others will find those Legendary Pokemon, Lincoln?" Ronnie Anne asked Lincoln.
"I believe they will." replied Lincoln.
"If you believe in them, then I do too." Marnie says to Lincoln, making him smile, which makes Marnie blush, and Ronnie Anne frown.
With Leni, Luna, Lucy, Lana, and Sam, they reached the end of the river on their Rotom Bikes and found themselves in a large area.
"This must be Ballimere Lake." said Luna.
"And that, like, must be that tree the Legendary birds are." said Leni, pointing at a massive tree.
"Let's check it out." said Sam, making the others nod in response. The group walks through the area towards the tree; when they got close to it, they saw it was almost completely surrounded by a lake; they walked around the lake until they reached a path that led to the tree. Leni hears bubbling coming from the lake; she looks to see a blue, serpentine Pokemon with a white underside, snout, a white fin on each side of its head, and a white lump on its forehead, stick its head out of the water. Leni takes out her Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.
"Dratini, the Dragon Pokemon. This Pokémon was long considered to be no more than a myth. The small lump on a Dratini's forehead is actually a horn that's still coming in." said Leni's Rotom Phone. The Dratini lets out a cry that made Leni squeal in excitement.
"O-M-Gosh; it's, totes, adorbs!" said Leni. She takes out a pokeball. "I am, totes, catching this one; Glaceon, like, go!" She throws Glaceon's pokeball and releases her. "Glaceon, use Freeze-Dry!" Glaceon releases a gust of cold air from her mouth and it hits Dratini, dealing super effective damage. The Dratini becomes surrounded by a blue aura that resembled a dragon; it flies at Glaceon and rams her, dealing damage, and making her flinch. Water spirals around Dratini's tail and it hits Glaceon with it, dealing damage.
"Glaceon, use Blizzard!" said Leni. Glaceon releases a blizzard from her mouth and it hits Dratini, dealing super effective damage. Dratini fires an orange beam of energy from its mouth at Glaceon. "Glaceon, use Mirror Coat!" A reflective aura surrounds Glaceon's body before the orange energy beam hits her; the beam gets repelled back and it hits Dratini, knocking it into the water; seconds later, it floats up to the surface, exhausted. Leni takes out an empty pokeball and throws it at Dratini, hitting it, and sucking it in; it wiggled a few times until it clicked. "Yay! I caught a Dratini."
"Way to go, Leni." said Lana. After Dratini's pokeball gets transported to storage, Leni takes out her Rotom Phone to look up Dratini's information.
"This says Dratini's, like, a girl, she knows Wrap, Leer, Twister, Thunder Wave, Dragon Tail, Agility, Slam, Aqua Tail, Dragon Rush, Safeguard, Rain Dance, Dragon Dance, Outrage, and Hyper Beam." said Leni. "She has the Marvel Scale ability which raises her defense if she has one of those status conditions."
After Leni returns Glaceon to her pokeball, the group reached the path leading to the tree; they walked up the path until reaching the tree.
"Look at the size of this tree." said Lucy.
"I could make a really big treehouse on this." said Lana.
"And look at the size of that fruit on that tree." said Sam, pointing at the round, pink fruit on the tree. "Just one of those fruits can feed a whole family for probably a month."
"Look, dudes!" said Luna, pointing up at the sky; the rest of the group looked to see a large, scarlet and black, fiery, birdlike Pokemon with a hooked, scarlet beak flying around the top of the tree. Luna takes out her Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.
"Moltres, the Malevolent Pokemon. The sinister aura that blazes like molten fire around this Pokémon is what inspired the name Moltres." said Luna's Rotom Phone.
"That must be one of those legendary bird Pokemon." said Sam. The Moltres flies to one of the fruits and begins eating it. Lana suddenly hears something approaching from behind; she turns to see a reddish orange, and black, birdlike Pokemon with musclar, black legs running past the group. Lana takes out her Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.
"Zapdos, the Strong Legs Pokemon. One kick from its powerful legs will pulverize a dump truck. Supposedly, this Pokémon runs through the mountains at over 180 mph." said Lana's Rotom Phone. When the Zapdos reaches the tree, it jumps high up into the air and electricity surrounds its feet; Zapdos comes down towards Moltres with its feet towards it, but Moltres flies back, dodging Zapdos. Moltres spreads its wings and releases scarlet and black flames from them at Zapdos, but it jumps back, dodging the attack.
"Come on, guys; I'm sure there's plenty of fruit for both of you!" said Lana. Moltres and Zapdos face each other and charged towards each other. Suddenly, a purple beam of energy comes out of nowhere towards Moltres and Zapdos, but they both dodge it. The group looks to see a lavender, birdlike Pokemon with a black chest and legs with lavender talons, long purple tail feathers, black feathers over its eyes, and light blue wingtips in the air. Sam points her Rotom Phone at the Pokemon.
"Articuno, the Cruel Pokemon. Known as Articuno, this Pokémon fires beams that can immobilize opponents as if they had been frozen solid." said Sam's Rotom Phone.
"They're incredible." said Sam. The three bird Pokemon suddenly looks at the group before they take off in different directions.
"Where are they going?" asked Leni.
"Let's get back to the others." said Luna; the girls got on their Rotom Bikes and rode them back up the river and to the others.
"Hey, guys!" Lincoln said when he sees his sisters and Sam approaching them. "We just saw some awesome bird Pokemon flying past us!"
"Actually, one of them ran past us." said Ronnie Anne.
"We know." said Leni.
"They were the Pokemon that Peony's journal mentioned; Zapdos, Articuno, and Moltres." said Luna.
"Where do you think they went off to?" asked Leni.
"There you are my darlin' daughter!" Peony's voice calls out from nearby, making everyone look to see Peonia's father running over to her.
"Hi, Dad." said Peonia.
"You have to look at this!" said Peony as he holds out his Rotom Phone, which was showing a live broadcast.
"Mysterious bird Pokemon sighted!" a news reporter says. "An orange bird with pointy feathers is running around the Wild Area! A fiery black and red bird Pokemon sighted in the Isle of Armor! And a lavender bird Pokemon sighted in the Crown Tundra! Where did they come from?! We will bring you updates as they follow!"
"The legendary birds are all over Galar!" said Lincoln.
"I knew my darlin' daughter couldn't resist the urge to go explorin'!" said Peony.
"Seriously, Dad?" Peonia replied as she pinches the bridge of her nose.
"What are we going to do?" asked Lana.
"Let's go after them." said Lincoln.
"Really?" replied Marnie as she holds Lincoln's hand.
"We already caught the Giant Pokemon..." Lincoln started to reply.
"You caught Regice, Registeel, Regirock, and... uh... what else?!" Peony said, interrupting Lincoln.
"Lincoln caught Regidrago." said Lana.
"You Loud Crowd kids are as good as I've heard." said Peony.
"And it looks like we got new legendary Pokemon to search for." said Clyde.
"Let's head back to the cabin and make plans." said Lincoln.
"Yeah, it's getting chilly out here." said Marnie.
The Loud Crowd and Team Yell have encountered the Legendary Bird Pokemon. What will they do as their Galar adventures continue? Wait and find out.
