Chapter 2: Meeting The Attacker
Blu and the crew started their own adventure. First, they need to get Nico and Pedro's friends Daniel and landed in the tree in the middle of the Amazon.
"Daniel, Hudson." Nico called his friends.
"Nico, Pedro. What's up?" Daniel asked.
"Nothing much." Pedro said.
"Allow me to introduce myself to your friends, I am Hudson." The Hahn macaw introduced, offering the blue macaw a talon shake as a way of greeting him.
"Hello, I am Blu." Blu greeted, raising a smile as they shook talons with each other. He ended the talon shake and moved to his mate so Jewel can shake his talons.
"My name is Jewel, I am Blu's mate." Jewel introduced herself to the Hahn macaw.
"A pleasure to meet you, madam." Hudson admitted, taking her wing as he was shaking Jewel's talons. "It's so nice to see meet new friends."
"Nice to meet you Hudson." Jewel smiled.
"Hi, I am Banjo." Banjo said to the Hahn macaw, he smile as he shake talons with Hudson. "This is my mate, Grace."
"Hi ma'am, I am Hudson, and you are beautiful." He waiting for Grace to shake his talons, Grace smiled and he accepted the talons shake. He bowed down to her.
"Pleasure to meet you too, thanks." Grace said as she looked over to Banjo, who looked towards her with a jealous face. She smiled and looked at him. "Oh relax Banjo, he was just being nice, and I will never leave you."
"Don't worry buddy, I won't steal her from you. To be honest, I have a mate myself. She wants to hang out with her friends. So we cool." Hudson said as he held out a talon.
"Yeah, we cool." Banjo smiled as he accepted Hudson's talon shake.
"Hi Hudson. I am Stevon." Stevon said as he held his talon waiting for the shake.
Hudson shake his talon back, "I heard about you. You are the new bird and the one that lead your tribe against the loggers."
"Oh, yes. I did." Stevon said.
"Hi Hudson." Tiago greeted in a nice manner way.
"Please to meet you, sir." Bia greeted, showing manners what her father taught her.
"Hello sir." Carla said.
"Hudson, that's a nice name." Belle said.
"Ahh, I love kids. I remember babysitting my sister's children and I have a good time with them. The day they grew up into teenagers. Memories." Hudson said.
"Hudson, this is my children Bia, Carla, and Tiago." Blu told Hudson the names of his children.
"Those children name are Belle, Crystal, Junior, and Max."Banjo said.
"Nice names, and I love y'all children. Now, what brings you all to my home?" Hudson asked everyone.
"Hudson, we need a favor from you and Daniel." Lillian requested.
"What's the favor?" Daniel asked Lillian.
"Do you guys know Eduardo?" Nico asked them.
"Yes I remember him, the guy always let me be friends with his tribe. What about him?" Hudson asked Nico.
"Jewel is Eduardo's daughter." Pedro explained. "Explain to Hudson what happened earlier with your father, Jewel."
Jewel smiled and Pedro moved back. "My dad was attacked this morning by an unknown bird. We don't know who did it, and we are going to track the bird who did this. We came to your home to see if you and Daniel want to join us to track down my dad's attacker. So are you guys in?"
"Oh my, that is horrible." Daniel sadly said. "Me and my partner crime Hudson track down villains before and sure, we will join you, your family, and your friends to hunt down your father's attacker."
"Okay, I am in too. Another adventure. We will work together. Let's ride." Hudson seriously said.
Daniel is having second thoughts. He knows Eduardo was the leader of the blue macaws before. He was friends with the blue macaws in the past, but Jewel asked him and Hudson for help. For Blu and Jewel's sake, he wants to help his friends find Eduardo's attacker.
"I will be happy to help." Daniel said.
"Thanks guys, you don't know how much I appreciate you guys. My dad is resting right now." Jewel smiled in joy.
"Let's go on this adventure." Rico said.
The journey through the Amazon of Rio De Janeiro, the flight was long and everyone made it to the mango tree where Eduardo was attacked at.
The birds saw Roberto and his blue macaws patrols team having mangos for lunch, they saw Blu and the crew. Roberto came to greet his friends.
"Jewel, I heard about what happened to your father. I am so sorry that happened to him. I promise you, Blu, Banjo, Grace, and everyone, we are going to get to the bottom of this. I am doing that for Eduardo. Eduardo is my friend and I have to help him." Roberto promised, placing his wings around Blu, Jewel, Banjo, and turned his attention over to Daniel and Hudson. "Who are those two?"
"This is Daniel and this is Hudson." Jewel replied to Roberto's question.
"Roberto, I remember you. You are the singer of the Amazon." Daniel said.
"Roberto. Daniel and Hudson are going to track down whoever hurt my dad." Jewel told Roberto.
"Stevon, I see you are on the journey to." Roberto said.
"Of course, we will find Eduardo's attacker. He or she will pay." Stevon said.
"Good luck." Roberto said as he and the other blue macaws are continuing patrolling.
"Let's find the clues." Hudson said. The others followed towards him and Daniel who had began their investigation. They saw the trees with a couple of brown marks. They see Eduardo's blue feathers in front of the tree branch.
Daniel, Hudson, and Stevon knelt down. Daniel pick up Eduardo's blue feathers. "Looks like whoever attacked your dad and they tried to hurt him by punching him to the tree."
"What makes you sure?" Blu asked Daniel, standing with his family and friends.
"Well, I see the brown marks of the tree. I think someone tried to kill Eduardo by pushing him in the tree." Daniel explained.
"Guys, I see footprints too in the ground." Stevon said as he spotted another clue.
"Whoa." Blu, Jewel, Banjo, and Grace discovered.
"Whoa." The blue macaw teenage kids saw it too.
"Whoooaaa." Nico, Pedro, Lillian, Sofia, Rico, Ricky, Hudson, Fluffy, Paradise, Angel, Bob, Samuel, and Olivia watched in shock at Daniel's discovery.
Everyone gathered around the footprint. There are trying to figure out who attacked Eduardo. It was a big footprint. The big foot was the bald eagles but bald eagles do not live in the Amazon. It is not one of them.
"Wow. Look at that big footprint." Jewel said, as she looked at the big footprint.
"Maybe the footprints of a bald eagle. Maybe the bald eagle attacked pop-pop." Tiago pointed out.
"Bald eagles don't live in the Amazon, Tiago." Bia pointed out to her bother.
"Yeah, bald eagles prefer cooler, temperatures climates near the bodies of water for foraging and nesting. The Amazon is hot and humid for bald eagles to live in the jungle. They live in North America." Belle agreed with her cousin Bia.
"Smart girl." Stevon smiled.
"That's my daughter. How did you know that sweetie?" Banjo asked his daughter.
"I did research about bald eagles before. Bald eagles live in North America." Belle said.
"Bia and Belle is right, bald eagles don't live in the Amazon." Hudson said.
"The big scary bird might attacked Eduardo. I can tell because the footprints are big." Stevon said.
Jewel sat on the log worrying about her father. Blu sit next to her and hugs her, "Honey, we are going to find your dad attacker. I promise." Blu told his wife.
"Blu honey, you are always good of finding a way. Finding the villain who hurts my dad is a challenge." Jewel explained herself, resting her head against Blu's chest. "By looking at that footprint, who would be a big bird?"
"I don't know Jewel. This is a mystery. We have Daniel and Hudson to track down the big bad bird. The mysterious bird will hurt others if we don't find him." Blu said.
"How are we going to find that bird?" Pedro asked.
"Well, I remember watching the videos on tracking birds while I was living with Daisy." Stevon said.
Bia talking to her parents, "Mom, Dad. We will not take this villain alone. We will face the villain together. There are one-hundred and forty of our kind and different kinds of birds and that is according to my calculations." Bia said.
"Wow Bia, you are so smart." Stevon is impressed with his niece skills.
"Thank you Uncle Stevon." Bia thanked him.
Stevon walk forward to Blu and Jewel to ask them a question?
"Hey Stevon, do you need something?" Jewel asked him.
"I want to ask you a question?" Stevon said.
"What's the question, Stevon?" Blu asked.
"How is your daughter so smart? How does she know everything around the Amazon?" Stevon asked.
"Well she is so smart because she learn that from me, her father. I taught her everything while I was living in Rio. I taught her everything about science subjects and math subjects." Blu said.
"That's why Bia is so smart." Stevon smile.
"Bia, do you have any suggestions?" Blu asked.
"Let's continue on tracking." Hudson suggested.
"Stevon, you lead the way." Daniel said.
Stevon lead the group. Around sixteen minutes had passed on their journey. Everyone seems to get bored because they didn't find Eduardo's attacker yet. Blu is getting tired of flying, his mate wings are hurting, and their children are trying to stay awake. The music duo Nico, Pedro, Lillian, Sofia, Rico, and Ricky tried to think of some new music for their club.
Stevon is looking at the ground. Stevon stop everyone as they looked at him. The teenage kids heard their uncle.
"Guys, I think I might know who attacked Eduardo." Stevon replied, standing back up as he held up a light green feather in his talons for his friend to see. "Whoever did this had green feathers."
"Green feathers." Jewel said as she turned to her mate.
"Green feathers, there are a lot of macaws have green feathers." Blu said.
"Well, according to our calculations, there are many species of macaws with green feathers." Blu admitted
"Blu is right, there are many species of macaws have green feathers." Banjo agreed with his brother Blu.
"The primary difference between Military and Buffon's macaws is size and color. Buffon's macaws are larger and have a lighter, yellowish-green plumage compared to the darker green of Military macaws. Buffon's also have longer tail feathers and a more massive beak." Bia added. "And according to my calculations, the Military macaw is one of the larger species of macaw, reaching up to 33 inches in height, including tail and the Buffon's macaw is a large parrot, reaching up to 33 to 35 inches with a mostly yellowish-green body, scarlet forehead and deep blue shoulders."
"Buffon macaws are lighter green." Belle said.
"Buffons macaws, huh." Jewel replied. "There is a buffon macaw clan not too far from here. Do you think they have done this to my dad?"
"Only way to find out." Blu told his mate. "We got to ask them questions."
Jewel looked at her mate with a worried expression. "Blu, you do know buffon macaws are dangerous right. I appreciate what you are doing but what are you going to do next?"
"I do know what I am doing Jewel." Blu assured as he turned to his mate. "We will ask them why they did it and bring whoever did this to your father."
"We will bring those buffon macaws to justice." Stevon said.
"Justice is about to be served." Jewel smiled as she kiss Blu on the cheek.
"Well, let's go." Tiago jumping for joy as he continued for an adventure. "Let's kick some butt."
Blu and Jewel smiled at each other.
"We will defeat those buffon macaws with awesomeness." Stevon said as he was in his fighting stance.
"Uncle Stevon can fight bad guys. I remember when you defeated Emerson." Tiago said.
"We are the hero of the Amazon Rainforest and the Furious Twenty Five, we are here to bring the buffon macaws to justice." Stevon said.
"The Furious Twenty Five, what is that?" Nico asked Stevon.
"Oh, I name that. Since I saved y'all from Emerson and the loggers, I was the hero and now I called you guys the Furious Twenty Five." Stevon said.
"Cool, I love that name." Hudson said.
"Okay, now let's get going." Stevon said.
It took twenty five minutes for the feathered friends to reach their final destination, the Buffon macaws's clan territory. This is going to be tough since they did not like strangers trespassing. Everyone looked around the Buffon macaw territory.
Blu was leading the way. He is feel scared as he we flying, he is looking for whoever was in charge.
Jewel looked towards the couple of buffon macaws while keeping her kids close. "It's alright kids. Don't look at them."
"This is very dangerous." Banjo said.
"Jewel is right, buffons macaws are dangerous." Stevon said.
"Hey, there strangers?" The buffon macaw greeted them with his friends by his side. He looked at Nico. He chuckled. "Hey there tweety bird, nice hat."
"Don't say anything to him, Nico." Lillian told her boyfriend.
"Nice pink flower, female tweety bird." The leader buffon macaw.
"Well, well, what do we have here?" The leader asked as he and his friends of buffon macaws looked at the blue macaws. "You blue macaws are my enemies. This is our territory."
"Look, we don't want no trouble. We are here to seek answers." Blu assured, as he looked at at his family and friends.
"Oh answers you want to seek." The leader smirked as the other buffon macaws smiled. "Very well, what do you seek?"
Blu is about to answer. Jewel glare angrily at the buffon macaw leader as she was ready to attack him.
"Someone kidnapped my dad, attack him, and he is so hurt very badly. We are looking for a macaw who have light green feathers which is you and your kind." Jewel angrily said.
"Your father was attacked, I am so sorry." The leader replied as he crossed his wings, "You got the wrong bird and wrong place, lady. Now if you do not mind, I have to take care of my mate."
"Yeah, you heard my mate. He wants to spend time with me." Selena said to Jewel.
"Oh yeah, and who feather this belong to?" Jewel asked, holding up the feather again in her talon. She showed the leader of the buffon macaws the feather. "You! You attacked my father!"
Blu and the others watched in shock as they saw Jewel was very angry at the leader of buffon knows that Jewel is a tough macaw.
Jewel angrily growled as she charged against the leader and she wants to claw his eyes out. She was halted when two buffon macaws got her wings. "Let go of me."
Jewel kicked both buffon macaws. The leader's mate Selena grabbed Jewel, "You got to respect my mate."
"Leave me alone." Jewel shouted as the buffon macaws got her.
"Jewel." Blu trying to get to his mate but the buffon macaws are standing in his way. "Hey, let my wife go."
The leader's mate smirked evilly and the buffon macaws looked at Blu. The leader watched Jewel is being held hostage by the buffon macaws. "Okay, Okay. Fine, I admit, I am the one who attack your father."
"Why?" Jewel demanded, struggling to move.
"My name is Malcolm. Your father was a traitor. We were once friends, I had a beautiful daughter named Gretchen. One night when the loggers set the jungle on fire, he failed to save my daughter. She was killed that night which made me turn evil."Malcolm said.
"My dad tried his best to save your daughter. It was the humans who set the fire. I am sorry for your daughter loss." Jewel said.
"Eduardo think he rules the Amazon. He always tells every species of macaws to go back to their territory and never visit his tribe territory." Malcolm pointed out.
"My dad is not a bad friend, you should let go of the past and move on." Jewel said.
"Awww, is he sorry?" Malcolm mocking her father as he clapped his wings together and he have an evil smile. "Eduardo will pay for what he done."
"My mate over there is the leader of the blue macaws." Jewel sternly said to Malcolm while hugging her wing over towards Blu. Blu is nervous.
"Him, he is the leader of the blue macaws." Malcolm said as he was looking at Blu. "I heard about you."
"You have." Blu was curious.
"Yeah, you are Eduardo's son-in-law. Why would Eduardo let you marry his daughter?" Malcolm asked.
"He didn't like me as Jewel's mate at first but he respects me after I saved him, the tribe, and everyone from the loggers." Blu said.
Blu looked at size of Malcolm. He admitted this guy is huge. Malcolm is bigger than Eduardo in height, wings, and talons.
"You better watch it, nobody messes with my new friends." Stevon shouted.
"Are you new in the Amazon?" Malcolm said as he was talking to Stevon.
"Yes, I am new, that was not nice when you attacked my adoptive father." Stevon pointed out to Malcolm.
"Eduardo is your adoptive father, that is so sweet." Malcolm said in a fake manner. "This Friday, we will have a war against you and the rest of your kind. We will fight you and your kind. Me and my clan will destroy you and your kind by one-by-one. Is that understood?"
"Uh, yes. We are so clear." Blu chuckled nervously.
"Pit Of War. Are we playing soccer?" Stevon asked the leader.
"Soccer? HAHAHAHAHAHA!" Malcolm laughed, the rest of the buffon macaws joined in on the laughter. "The war will be at the Pit Of Doom. We are going to win and the whole Amazon will be ours."
Blu is so nervous about this war. He got to get his kind ready to fight their biggest enemies.
"Now, get out of here." Malcolm ordered. The buffon macaws fly faster to chase their enemies out of their territory. "I hope I meet you guys at the war."
Looks like we have met our new enemy of the story and that is the bird who was responsible for attacking Eduardo. I have introduced my OC: Hudson the hahn macaw. Stay tuned for chapter 3, my fellow readers where Blu, his family, and friends have to prepare for a war.
