An: Hi everyone, and welcome to my new story. This time I'm trying something differant. I have been reading alot of Naruto fics, and I thought I would try my hand at it. I haven't given up on the "Standing against the darkness" fic, but it's taking more time to write the next chapter than I like. So as not to keep my readers waiting enjoy this little crossover.
This was supposed to go up on the 18th, but the sight was being a pill. So you get it today.

Disclaimer: I in no way own Naruto or pokemon, although if I did I'm not sure if I would make them better or worse.

1: the contract
Our view opens over a village nestled amung very large trees. We can see several villagers tending to shops, walking the quiet streets, and talking with eachother.
We can also see several people running across the rooftops. Most wouldn't look out of place in a school, or a place of buisness. The masked ones however look special.
This is Konoha, the village hidden in the leaves.
Our view moves across the village until we see a large long rectangular building. Looking through 1 of the windows we see a young boy sitting at a desk across from a man with a scar across his nose.
This boy is Naruto Uzumaki. The man he is sitting across from is the only instructer at the Ninja Acadimy that both knows a hidden secret about Naruto and doesn't condem him for it. His name is Iruka.
"Hey, do you think I'll ever graduate?" Naruto asked, a hopeful glint in his eyes as he sat across from Iruka-sensei.
Iruka's expression softened as he leaned back in his chair, his hands steepled in front of his chin. "Naruto, you've got more potential than anyone I've ever seen," he said, his voice a gentle rumble. "But potential without focus is like a leaf in a tornado."
The two of them sat in silence, the only sounds were the crackling of the fire in the small stone fireplace and the distant cries of night animals. Iruka's words hung in the air, a stark reminder of the gap between what Naruto was and what he aspired to be.
"I'll do better next time," Naruto murmured, his voice filled with a determination that was as palpable as the warmth from the flames.
Iruka nodded, a small smile playing at the corners of his lips. "I know you will," he said, his eyes never leaving the young shinobi's. "But remember, the path of the ninja is one of patience and perseverance. Keep your chin up, and you'll get there."
With a heavy sigh, Naruto nodded, his gaze dropping to the floor. He knew his sensei was right, but the weight of his failure was a heavy burden to bear. He stood up, his joints popping with the sudden movement, and made his way to the door. "I'll see you tomorrow," he called over his shoulder, his voice echoing through the small room.
As the door closed behind him, Naruto's shoulders slumped, and he trudged down the hallway. The candles flickered in their sconces, casting dancing shadows across the floor. He didn't bother to hide his face as he passed by the other students, some of whom were still up studying. They all knew his secret. They all knew he had failed the exam. Again.
The library beckoned him like a sanctuary, a place where he could escape the judgmental gazes and whispers that seemed to follow him everywhere. The ancient building was quiet, save for the occasional rustle of pages turning in the distance. It was a stark contrast to the bustling energy of the village outside.
He climbed the steps to the second floor, the wood creaking beneath his feet. The scent of aged parchment and ink filled his nostrils, a comforting scent that always made him feel closer to his dreams. He picked a random aisle and began to walk, his eyes scanning the spines of the books as he went.
"Hmm, 'The Art of the Silent Killing'," he murmured, plucking a book from the shelf and examining it. "This might be a bit too advanced for me." He chuckled to himself, replacing the book and moving on.
As he turned a corner, he noticed a book that had fallen to the floor. It was leather-bound and looked incredibly old. The title was in a language he didn't recognize. Curiosity piqued, he bent down to retrieve it. The moment his fingers brushed against the worn cover, a tingle of energy shot through him, making the hairs on the back of his neck stand on end.
Naruto looked around, his heart racing. He knew he wasn't supposed to be here. This was the restricted section of the library, but something about the book called to him, whispering promises of power and understanding.
With trembling hands, he cracked it open. The pages were filled with strange symbols and images of creatures he had never seen before. His eyes grew wide as he took in the words, the foreign script telling a story of friendship and battle, of humans bonding with creatures called Pokémon.
The book spoke of a world beyond his own, a world where he could be the hero he always dreamed of being. And in the back, tucked away like a forgotten treasure, was a page that contained a summoning contract.
The anticipation grew within him, a pressure building like the moment before a storm. With a deep breath, he whispered the incantation, tracing the ancient symbols with his finger. The air grew thick, charged with a power that was alien to the Hidden Leaf Village.
Suddenly, a gust of wind swept through the library, knocking over scrolls and sending a chill down Naruto's spine. The candles flickered wildly, casting eerie shadows across the walls. The air grew tense, and the energy grew so thick that it seemed to take on a life of its own.
Naruto's hand paused mid-trace, his eyes widening as he felt a presence. He looked up, and out of the shadows emerged a creature unlike any he had ever seen. It had the sleek body of a fox with the majestic mane of a lion, its eyes glowing a piercing red. The creature stared at him intently, and Naruto realized with a jolt that this was no ordinary animal.
The creature stepped closer, and the wind around it grew stronger, swirling into a mini tornado. The air grew electric, and the pages of the book fluttered wildly. The creature's eyes locked onto his, and he felt a strange connection form between them. It was as if the creature was looking into his very soul.
"I am your summon," it spoke, its voice echoing through the library. "I am your partner in this new world. What is your wish?"
Naruto stumbled back, dropping the book. "A-a Pokémon?" he stuttered, his heart racing. "But how? Why me?"
The creature tilted its head, seemingly amused by his confusion. "The scroll chose you," it said with a sense of finality. "You possess a spirit that resonates with the ancient bonds of our kind. Now, what is your will?"
For a moment, Naruto was speechless. The reality of the situation was overwhelming, but the excitement bubbling within him was undeniable. He had always believed he was destined for greatness, and now, the universe had delivered the means to achieve it directly into his hands.
"My will?" he repeated, his voice gaining strength. "I want to become the strongest ninja in the world. To protect my village, my friends, and everyone I care about."
The creature nodded solemnly. "Then we shall train together," it said, extending a paw-like appendage. "I am a Vulpix. In your world, I am known as the Fox of Flames. And with your determination and our bond, we shall conquer the battles ahead."
Naruto took the Vulpix's paw, feeling the warmth of the creature's energy flow into him. A new chapter in his life had just begun. He had a Pokémon partner, and together, they would forge a path that no one in the Hidden Leaf had ever dared to walk.
The whispers of doubt and failure faded away as he looked into the Vulpix's fiery gaze. For the first time in his life, he felt truly seen—understood. This creature believed in him, and with that belief, anything seemed possible.
"Thank you," he whispered, his voice filled with emotion. "Let's do this."
And with a flash of light and a burst of fire, the Vulpix transformed before his very eyes into a majestic, fiery Ninetales. The power that surged through the room was palpable.
Together, they stood, ready to face whatever challenges the world threw at them. The bond between a human and a Pokémon was unlike any other, and Naruto knew that with Ninetales by his side, he could overcome any obstacle. The whispers of his past dissipated, replaced by the roar of a new future, one filled with promise and potential.
He had stumbled upon a secret that could change everything, and he was not going to waste it. With a grin that could rival the sun, Naruto and Ninetales left the library, ready to tackle the world of Pokémon and the ninja world with a fervor that could set the very leaves of the village on fire.

An: and that's the beginning of my new story. I know it's a little shorter than I usually try to write, but I've been out of contact for too long now. So I wanted to get this out there. Also, I'm letting you all know that Naruto will have 2 lovers on his team, although he won't understand that for a while.
In the next chapter Naruto and Ninetales catch a traitor, and Naruto graduates.
As always if you have a comment or questions leave me a review, or send me a PM. I hope you are enjoying the story, and I'll see you all next time.
