"Good job on your first B-Rank mission, Naruto," Hiruzen congratulated.

"Thanks!" Naruto said sheepishly.

"About the nine-tails..." Hiruzen was saying before Naruto interrupted him.

"Grams, I covered it in sealing level 5 material. I could piece in everything, so I found out I was the jinchuriki of the Nine-Tails," Naruto said.

"Sorry, Naruto. I wasn't able to help you much regarding your relations with the village. I shouldn't have told the council about your Jinchurki status," Hiruzen said with a bit of guilt.

"Don't worry, old man! I will protect the village and show them that I am not the Nine-Tails!" Naruto said enthusiastically.

Hiruzen smiled.

"How far are you in Fuinjutsu now? You said you had brushed about Jinchuriki when you were going through the level 5 material of Fuinjutsu, didn't you?" Hiruzen asked.

"I am level 7," Naruto lied. Naruto knew no human could go to level 9 within the same time frame he did. It was all thanks to his shadow clones that he got that far in that short period.

"Level 7! It took Mito herself 8 years to reach that level! And she is hailed as one of the legendary level 11 seal masters!" Hiruzen said with shock.

"Since when were you learning fuinjutsu?" He asked.

"Since I was 6! I picked a book that was left on the training ground 12 when I was going around the various places in Konoha!" Naruto shouted enthusiastically.

'He reached level 7 within just 6 years! He has the potential to surpass Mito in the sealing arts!' Hiruzen thought with shock. Previously, he only knew 2 other people who had the potential to surpass Mito in sealing, and both of them were dead for more than 12 years, thanks to the Nine-Tails attack.

"Then why weren't you doing well in the academy?" Hiruzen questioned with a bit of suspicion.

"It's easy, instructors like Mizuki always taught me the wrong stuff. Whenever I cross-check the things I learnt from the academy with the books in the Konoha Library, I find out that I have been taught wrong on multiple things. And the fact that people hate me made me think I could hide my true strength and show off when I am strong enough to protect the leaf and show I am not a ticking time bomb," Naruto stated.

Hiruzen was a bit shocked. Naruto had been doing all of this right under his nose, and he knew nothing about it.

"How far are you with level 7?" He asked.

"I am about halfway through. Though anything beyond level 7 is not present in the library," Naruto said.

"That would be my doing, I didn't want any unauthorised personal learning advanced fuinjutsu. If someone did, he or she could pose a major threat to Konoha's barriers," Hiruzen replied.

"Konoha's barriers are one of the reasons why Konoha still stands. Our Barrier had stalled thousands of enemy ninjas from entering our village, providing Konoha ample time to prepare for any large-scale invasion if we received information of the attack just hours before it," Hiruzen continued.

"Yeah, that's one of the major issues with the barrier. We need information just to activate it," Naruto said with a sigh. He knew that nothing could be changed about the barrier. It needs an enormous amount of chakra to keep alive, so it's not activated at all times.

"Well, you will receive your pay tomorrow, Naruto. Spend it wisely," Hiruzen said, sending Naruto off.

At Naruto's Apartment,

"Bah, I finally get to sleep!" Naruto said to himself.

He made 2 clones, which went to study the Fuinjutsu theory behind the Hiraishin.

7:00 am,

"I need to get my picture taken," Naruto mumbled. Today is the day he had to take his photo for his Ninja ID registration.

At the Hokage Tower,

"Alright! Stand there, and yup! You're in the correct position, now, don't blink, no matter what," The photographer said, getting into the covers to take the photo.

"Here," The photographer gave the picture to Naruto.

Not many people were there since most had just postponed the Ninja ID registration for a while longer to enjoy their holiday. They were given 3 days of holiday before they started Genin team assignments.

"Good Morning, Naruto," Hiruzen greeted.

"Yo, gramps, how are you doing?" Naruto asked.

"I am doing well, what about you?" Hiruzen asked getting Naruto's photo.

"I am doing well as well," Naruto replied.

"Yes, and looks like you changed your wardrobe," Hiruzen voiced out.

"Yup! I am a ninja, and I have to look the part," Naruto replied.

"Also, I need to tell you something, I don't want any extra ears listening to us," Naruto said.

"Oh, alright," Hiruzen was about to send the anbu off, until the door was suddenly opened and a kid rushed to Hiruzen. But halfway, he tripped on his own scarf, falling face-first.

"Oww!" The kid shouted, rubbing his face.

'Oh, why did you have to come at this time!' Hiruzen thought flabbergastedly.

'Who is this kid? His chakra is somewhat similar to that of Gramps, Naruto thought.

"HEY! You were the one to trip me, weren't you?!" The Kid shouted, accusing Naruto.

"You tripped on your own absurdly long scarf," Naruto answered.

"No, no, no! You were the one to trip me! Don't lie!" The kid said, coming up close to Naruto.

"Hey! Young Master!" A shouted while barging into the room.

"This guy tripped me!" The kid complained.

"How dare you lay your hands on young master! He is the grandson of Lord Third!" The jonin said.

"So you old Gramp's grandson, what are you doing barging into meetings like that?" Naruto said, giving a small glare at Konohamaru.

"And, you were supposed to keep an eye on him. How can you call yourself a jonin if you let an academy student escape your watch?" Naruto gave the jonin a cold glare. Ebisu felt a shiver down his spine when Naruto looked at him like that.

Hiruzen just puffed smoke from his pipe.

"Naruto is right, you're only supposed to teach and keep an eye on Konohamaru, you let him escape and interrupt an important meeting between me and Naruto here," Hiruzen said.

"Sorry, Lord Hokage!" Ebisu bowed down.

'Wow! This guy scared Ebisu sensei with just a look!' Konohamaru thought with a look of awe.

"Now, escort Konohamaru away from here, please. I have a meeting to attend to," Hiruzen ordered.

"Yes, Lord Hokage!" Ebisu responded.

Hiruzen sent out the anbu too, leaving only Naruto and himself in the room.

"As an extra precaution," Naruto said, going through a few hand seals and slamming them into the ground. Suddenly, a bunch of seals sprang out, creating a barrier where sound can neither escape nor come in.

"Impressive," Hiruzen complimented.

"Thank you, Gramps," Naruto replied, a bit embarrassed at the compliment.

"The thing I wanted to talk about with you would be about my parents. I know who my father is," Naruto said, getting straight to the point.

Hiruzen's eyes widened.

"My hair and my eyes resemble his. Not to mention, there must be a reason why he would seal the nine-tails into me. All the signs point to the fact that Minato Namikaze is my father," Naruto continued.

"So, you managed to figure out who your father is, huh? What do you plan on doing with that information?" Hiruzen replied.

"I plan on keeping a secret until I feel I am strong enough to reveal it. Now I plan on only telling people who are close to me, like Iruka sensei," Naruto answered.

"Good," Hiruzen replied.

"But, I am finding it hard to know who my mother is. There is no record of any woman who was with my father, and I don't think the ones who are in the know would be willing to reveal it," Naruto said.

"Your mother... her name was Kushina Uzumaki. She was the Jinhcuriki before you. She was very strong, known as the Red Death because of her red hair. She is an S-Ranked ninja who was strong enough to take out an entire battalion of enemy ninjas all by herself. She was also very proficient with the sword, she was on par with the likes of Fuguki Suikazan," Hiruzen said, shocking Naruto.

Knowing that his mother was the jinchuriki before him greatly shocked him. It was also a shocker that his mother was as strong as the previous holder of the Samehada and was the strongest of the 7 Swordsmen of the Mist.

"Your mother was of the main branch of the Uzumaki clan, whilst your father was the grandson of Tobirama Senju," Hiruzen continued.

'No wonder I was able to access more of the Senju archives. I am a direct descendant of Lord Tobirama,' Naruto thought with surprise.

"I would like to get some of my parents' inheritance. I need some funding to live a higher quality of life," Naruto stated.

"Sure, I will send some of your parents' money to your account. Just inform me of how much you need me to transfer before you need the amount," Hiruzen replied.

"Oh, I also need to know where my dad lived and trained. I want to keep my training a secret from prying eyes," Naruto said.

"Yes, the place is near the Senju district, and the place is well hidden from anyone, so no one will be able to intrude. It's 2 kilometres east of the Senju clan District. It should be hidden in a small forest," Hiruzen answered.

"Alright, thank you," Naruto said with a smile.

"Is there anything else you need?" Hiruzen asked.

"Nope, I will be taking my leave now, I have a lot to look for," Naruto answered, excusing himself from the office.

"Bye, Naruto," Hiruzen waved.

"Bye, Gramps," Naruto waved back.

At the Academy,

'Hmm, so this is how the seal works. It requires a base of water seal to mimic water's chakra nature to counter fire jutsus, which can be helpful against powerful fire jutsus.

There was a huge rumble heard. It suddenly stopped, and 2 girls opened the door.

"I entered first!" Sakura shouted.

"My toes reached in quicker than yours! Only that huge forehead of yours was a head of mine!" Ino shouted.

"Hey! YOU PIG! TAKE THAT BACK!" Sakura shouted.

Everyone's ears were ringing because of Sakura's shouting.

'At last, I don't have to suffer from her constant shouting,' Naruto thought.

Both of them sat next to Sasuke, caring less about his annoyance.

"Everyone! Get back into your seats!" Iruka shouted.

Everyone sat down in silence.

"Alright! I will announce the team you have been assigned to," Iruka said.

Naruto stopped listening to the team assignments cause he didn't care much about those who were being assigned then.

"Team 7 consists of Naruto Uzumaki," Iruka said, piquing Naruto's interest.

"Sakura Haruno, and Uchiha Sasuke," Iruka announced.

Most of the girls were annoyed, glaring at Sakura.

"YES! TRUE LOVE ALWAYS WINS!" Sakura shouted in joy.

'uhhhh! Why did I have to jinx myself?" Naruto thought with annoyance.

'They better not drag me down,' Sasuke thought with a bit of hate and annoyance.

"AWW! Why does she get to be in Sasuke's team?!" Ino shouted, pointing at Sakura.

"It's the Hokage's arrangements. If you want to change it, take it with the Hokage," Iruka replied.

"Why do you girls want to be in his team?" Shikamaru asked with sleepiness evident in his tone.

"Jeez, you should stop being so jealous, Shikamaru, I'd hate to be in your team," Ino said snobbily.

"Team 8 consists of Hinata Hyuuga, Kiba Inazuka, and Shino Aburame," Iruka continued,

"Team 9 consists of..., and Team 10 consists of Ino Yamanaka, Choji Akimichi and Shikamaru Nara," Iruka finally announced all the teams.

"Ha, didn't you say you would hate to be in my team?" Shikamaru said with a smirk.

"Aww noo!" Ino whined.

"Ino! Quiet!" Iruka shouted.

"I hope that all of you grow into powerful ninjas and protect the village with your will of fire, I am proud that all of you have come this far," Iruka said with a proud smile.

"Now, your jonin sensei will be coming to pick you up after lunch, so you guys are free to do what you want," Iruka said, leaving.
