I was hanging out with Sam, Mike, and the other night guards in the enormous main room of Trap's base, waiting for him to return. Idly, I recounted how many changes and expansions were made to this room over the years I've been here, yet despite how many times, there was still much to do later. I was sitting in newly made rafters above the room while everyone, minus Sam, who was sitting in the only rolling chair in the room in front of Trap's enormous control panel fixed into the wall, was standing or sitting on a foldable chair or stool that was kept there due to how often the room's layout changed; even the worktable had lockable wheels and some parts that could collapse to make more room. Eventually, that would change, and there would be a fixed area to hang around and perhaps watch as Trap worked on some of the not-so-classified projects, but that was for another time when it was quiet, and we hopefully had more resources.
Mike, who was relaxing on a foldable chair, looked over at an orange-haired night guard standing near one of the many entrances to the base, listening to the fight that echoed from somewhere up top. "It's been a while. Has the fighting died down, Fritz?"
"I think so, but I have a bad feeling about this, Mike," Fritz looked at us worried.
Jeremy fidgeted from where he had been standing. "I don't like this." He stuttered because of his nervousness and the permanent stuttering problem he developed after that incident with Mangle a while back. Luckily, it was getting better with my and the other night guards' help, though if he was too nervous or scared, he became impossible to understand.
"Springtrap should've been back by now," Sam commented nervously and turned in his chair to face where the others were.
Finally deciding to act now, I jumped down from the rafter I was sitting on, unintentionally scaring Jeremy and Fritz. "You're right, Sam. Trap should've been back by now." I walked over to Trap's control panel as the others followed me. Quickly unlocking it, I accessed all the security cameras, including some hidden ones in the pizzeria. I switched through each camera and soon came across the camera in Party Room One in the Toys' part of the building. There, I saw Drawkill Foxy torturing the Original Main Four on the screen, though it looked more like mental and emotional torture rather than physical.
Jemery pointed at Drawkill Foxy on the screen. "W-what is that?"
"That's what infiltrated the pizzeria. They're the animatronics classified as Drawkills." I frowned. "This certainly isn't good," I looked at the camera again, trying to think about what happened to the Original Main Four and the others.
Mike stood up from his seat and walked over, leaning over the control panel. "What should we do?" he asked, watching Drawkill Foxy torment the Original Main Four, who looked highly distressed. Truthfully, I was glad I turned the audio off.
"I recommend staying down here where it's safe," Fritz pipped in.
I glared at him, and surprisingly, the others joined in, making him shrink back before I turned to the screen again with a sigh. "We can't just sit here and do nothing; the animatronics are basically my family. Besides, we need to know what's going on. Otherwise, we might be as good as dead if those things find us."
Sam looked at me. "What's the plan?"
I pursed my lips. We can't just charge in, nor can I fight, as I'm still training and improving my abilities. I softly tapped my index finger against the desk-like part of the control panel. I'll have to use Shadow, but I'll need backup and a distraction, especially if I run into anyone else. I crouched underneath the control panel, unlocking one of the hidden compartments. I grabbed two enhanced guns I've been messing with that essentially shoot blanks made of compressed magic, whether from a charged magazine or the user themselves, assuming they have magic. Still, they were quieter and left no bullets or casings like a regular gun. I also grabbed their respective magazines and closed the compartment before standing up. "You and Mike are with me." I stood up, checked the safety, and put the magazines in. "Jeremy, watch the cameras and tell me if anything or anyone is coming our way. Fritz, let us back into the base when we get back since I'm limiting access to get in, and . . ." I looked Fritz in the eyes. "Don't bail on us."
Fritz saluted me with a nervous smile as the others nodded their heads in understanding.
I turned toward the exit and heard Mike and Sam follow behind me. All the while, I silently prayed Jeremy and Fritz wouldn't bail on us.
Mike, Sam, and I quickly made our way through one of the many newly built tunnels leading into the Toys' basement, and soon, we reached the point where we'd have to go above ground.
"You know how Trap's been nice enough to teach you to shoot?" I looked at the two, who nodded. "Well, I hope you're both decent shots." I hand them the guns I took from the compartment. "Take these, but I'll need them back."
.
Mike and Sam each took a gun, though the latter more hesitantly because while he was learning, it didn't mean he liked it all that much; he only did it because of Trap and Mike's insistence.
"Relax, they don't use real bullets. They're like blanks, except they don't leave any casings or make much sound that'll draw the others in." I run my hand over my over-ear earpiece, activating my animatronic suit/costume, which appears magically. "I hope you can aim without hitting me or the others because while it won't kill me, it's going to hurt a lot." I then enabled my voice filter and comlink. "Jeremy? Do you copy?"
"Y-yes. I'm here, and I can hear you." Jeremy replied.
"Good." I crossed my arms. "Is there anyone near the Toys' Basement?"
"N-no. Everyone else s-seems to be in the O-Originals p-part of the pizzeria, with the D-Drawkills and the N-Nightmares."
I frowned as I recall skimming over that camera briefly. They're with the intruders and not fighting? That's odd. Something's definitely wrong. What are the Nightmares doing here? I uncrossed my arms. "Ok, then. I'll contact you when I need your help again, Jeremy, and keep me updated on where everyone is." I stated while making a mental note not to trust the others until I could confirm whether they were with me.
"Ok. C-copy that," Jeremy said before going silent.
I turned to Mike and Sam. "We're going in. Don't make a sound because I don't feel like getting killed,"
They nodded in understanding.
We then headed out of the tunnel and into the Toys' basement, keeping our wits about us.
"They still in the Original's part of the pizzeria?" I asked quietly, opening the door.
"Y-yeah, b-but I c-can't s-seem t-to f-find S-Springt-trap," Jeremy stated in a panicked tone, breathing heavily.
"Calm down, Jere." I heard Fritz say.
"Jeremy, breathe," I ordered calmly. "Try to find him and keep an eye on the others. If someone else leaves, tell me immediately."
Jeremey took a couple of deep breaths before calming down. "O-ok. I'll do m-my best." He then went silent again.
I peeked outside the door before turning to Mike and Sam hushedly. "Ok, here's the situation. Everyone's still in the Original's part of the pizzeria except for Trap, so be extremely careful because even though Trap has an ear and a half, his hearing is still good." I turned back and crept out a little more, checking both ways to see if anyone else was in the party room where the basement door was. Luckily, it wasn't Party Room One.
"Are you sure it's not because he's a bunny animatronic?" Mike joked as we snuck out with him, quietly closing the door behind us.
"Pretty sure Vincent always had good hearing; he had it even as a kid," Sam said.
We continued sneaking through the Toys' part of the pizzeria to Party Room One, which, while in the same hallway, was a bit further away than the original location and in a very open hallway. One glance from the hallway behind us or even one of the party rooms or secret above passageways in the hall, and we'd be doomed. When we finally made it, I heard Drawkill Foxy tormenting the Original Main Four, but I tuned it out as I hid just outside the entrance to the room.
"Jeremy, give me an update on everyone else's position," I ordered as I saw Mike and Sam cringed at the sound of Drawkill Foxy hitting one of the Original Main Four.
"E-everyone's still in t-the Main S-Stage Area," Jeremy reported.
"Have you found Trap's current location is, yet?".
"N-no, I s-still can't f-find him a-anywhere on the cameras," Jeremy said in a panicked tone, trying to keep his stuttering at a minimum.
"Calm down, Jeremy. Just watch the Main Stage and the rooms close to Party Room One."
"O-Ok," Jeremy then went silent.
"What's the situation?" Mike asked.
"Jeremy says that 'everyone's still in the Main Stage Area,' but he still can't find Trap anywhere on the cameras," I replied.
A worried look appeared on Sam's face. "That's not good," he stated since he knew what his brother was capable of.
"Agreed, let's hurry and rescue the Original Main Four before that gathering of animatronics ends, or worse, we run into Trap," I said while signing for them to come in on my signal.
{Shadow? Are you ready?} I asked my other half in our shared mind.
{Yes~} Shadow replied.
I activated my Shadow Mode on my animatronic suit, which allowed me to mimic the Shadow Animatronics abilities to disappear in any darkness or dim light and snuck inside the party room with Shadow, who was literally my shadow. Now, inside the party room, I saw Drawkill Foxy about to hit Freddy's face with his hook. So, using my size and the slim design of Drawkill Foxy's legs, I ran out of the shadows and pushed him back as hard as I could while Shadow took the distraction and cut the chains off Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy's hands and feet, without being noticed.
Drawkill Foxy stumbled back with shock and confusion. "What trickery be this here?"
"Trick? Oh, my dear fox, this is just the beginning." I remarked, then signaled Mike and Sam to shoot Drawkill Foxy.
Mike and Sam quickly aimed and started shooting at him, making Drawkill Foxy growl as he went on the defensive against me and my attempts to trip him up and dodge the unseen bullets that sounded like a mosquito buzzing simultaneously but failed. As we fought, I quickly analyzed the design of Drawkill Foxy's hook, easily finding the weak points and casually dismantling it a little more each time because there were two things I excelled at it was speed and sleight of hand. I also loosened some of Drawkill Foxy's joints, and soon, I got his hook to the point that it would fall off, so I disengaged, singling Mike and Sam to stop, which they did and hid around the other side of the wall.
Seeing me disengage, a smug look appeared on Drawkill Foxy's face as he held his hook in a defensive position. "What be the matter? Be ye scared, mate?"
"I'm not scared of ye, ye scurvy sea dog, and I be a lass," I stated, mimicking his accent.
Drawkill Foxy eyed me. "Ye fight well fer a lass then. So come at me, ye, scallywag." He raised his hook.
Taking on a casual, almost carefree attitude, which Trap mentioned irritated certain people into making a mistake, I straightened up and crossed my arms. "Nah, I don't fight people who are defenseless."
"But, I ain't defenseless, ye cowardly sea dog." Drawkill Foxy retorted as he waved his hook about, loosening the bolts attaching his hook to himself even more.
"You sure about that?" I snapped my fingers just as his hook fell off.
Drawkill Foxy looked at his hookless arm in shock before glaring at me. "What be this here, be ye a sea witch?"
"Trickery?" I laughed. "I don't know what you mean."
Drawkill Foxy growled. "Ye will pay fer this." He then charged at me.
I quickly sidestepped the attack, making him snarl and lunge at me. Drawkill Foxy pinned me to the ground as I loosened the rest of his joints to the point that one more hard push and he'd fall apart in pieces and deactivate.
"I caught ye, ye slippery eel." Drawkill Foxy snarled, grabbing my neck with his left hand, which was his only hand.
I smirked. "Think again," I then pushed Drawkill Foxy off me.
Drawkill Foxy stumbled back and growled, but he froze and shuttered before he could attack again. As the seriousness of what I had just done to him caught up, he deactivated before falling to the ground in pieces.
"Wow, that was fun," I laughed a little and stood up. Suddenly, I was put in a chokehold with a hook, though much smaller, against my neck.
"If ye know what be best fer ye. I wouldn't be tryin' anythin.'" Foxy threatened while pressing his hook against my neck.
I glanced behind me and saw Mike and Sam enter the room with their guns pointed at Foxy.
Mike raised his weapon, leveling it at Foxy's head. "Let her go."
"Foxy, do as they say and let her go." I heard Freddy say after a tense minute.
I turned to my right and saw him standing there with Bonnie and Chica, who looked on edge and unsure what to do now.
"But, Cap'n, she could be on the enemies' side," Foxy said, gesturing to me with his eyes or eye.
"If she were, she wouldn't have saved you all, and we'd surely be dead as well," Sam reasoned, likely referring to Mike and him.
Chica rubbed her arm. "He has a point, Foxy."
Foxy sighed. "Fine, but she better be tellin' us what in Davy Jones' Locker be goin' on 'ere," he let me go and went to join the others.
Mike and Sam lowered their guns but kept their guards up as I quickly took a few steps back from the Original Main Four and joined them.
I looked at them and noted I'd have to do some minor repair work on them once everything was secured. "Don't worry, I'll answer your questions soon, but first, I need to make sure the Drawkills haven't left the Main Stage." I then turned my head away as I started talking into the comlink. "Jeremy, what's everyone's position?"
"E-everyone's still in the M-Main Stage A-area, a-and I s-still can't f-find S-Sp-Springt-trap," Jeremy said.
"Got it, tell me when you see him. Ok?"
"V-very well," Jeremy replied before going silent.
I turned to the Original Main Four. "Sorry about that. So any quick questions that I can answer right now?"
Bonnie eyed me. "Who are you, whose side are you on, and how did you get here?"
I tilted my head slightly. "You don't recognize me?"
"We've never seen you in our entire lives," Freddy said and glared at me.
Why don't they– I suddenly remembered I was disguised as an animatronic, which none of them, besides Trap, had seen. "Oh, right, I forgot this was on."
"What do you mean you forgot you had this on?" Chica asked in confusion.
I then deactivated my voice modifier and animatronic suit/costume, causing the Original Main Four to look at me in shock.
Foxy especially looked at me with eyes so wide I almost feared his eyes would pop out of his endoskeleton. "Lass, what be ye doin' 'ere? Ye was told to stay in the basement, 'ow be ye 'ere?"
I gave them a deadpan look. "You can't expect me to do nothing while you guys fight the intruders." I huffed, crossing my arms. "Besides, Trap said that if I felt like something was wrong, I could check it out. I felt like something was wrong, and so here we are." I glanced into the hallway before ducking back into the party room. " I'll explain more later, but first, we must get out of here. I don't know how long we have until the Drawkills dismiss their little meeting, and on top of that, we can't find Trap anywhere on the cameras."
"We? You mean you have more people working with you?" Bonnie questioned.
"Yeah," I gestured to Mike and Sam. "Don't you recognize them?"
The Original Main Four took a closer look and then realized something.
"Wait a minute. You're the night guard who was here a couple of years ago," Freddy pointed at Mike and then at Sam. "And you're the guy on the phone recordings."
A snarky expression appeared on Mike's face as he carefully crossed his arms, still holding a gun. "Yeah, that's right, Fazbear."
Sam sighed and threw a narrowed-eyed look at Mike. "Don't start picking fights right now, Mike. We need to get out of here before we attract the attention of something worse than Drawkill Foxy."
Mike groaned like the teenager he was before rolling his eyes. "Ugh, fine."
I signaled everyone to be quiet and follow me, and we left the party room as Shadow lingered behind to reassemble Drawkill Foxy with no memory of the fight. As we quietly walked down the hallway, I heard something giving off a low hissing sound. I quickly tried locating where it was coming from as an overwhelming amount of dread filled my heart because while that sound could come from a leaky gas pipe, it could also come from one other person I knew who made that sound, Trap.
"N-Noelle. I f-found him." Jeremy said over the comlink just as Trap walked out from behind the corner up ahead.
"No, he found us!" I yelled.
Springtrap slowly walked towards us, taunting us as he dragged his hand across the wall, which sounded like grinding metal. In turn, everyone started backing away from him, but we could only go so far. The Toys' Security Room was right behind us, and all Trap needed to do was stake out the hallway to trap us.
I pursed my lips. This isn't good. I guess we'll have to use that hidden passage in the security room. Since Trap's blocking the usual way out and our way to the basement. I kept my eyes on Trap, who approached us tauntingly, likely both analyzing us and trying to scare us into making a mistake. "Mike, Sam, you remember that passage in the office?"
"Yeah? What of it?" Mike asked, matching my hushed tone despite how Trap likely could still hear us.
"I want you to take the others and run. There should be a way for you to get back to the base. I'll buy you some time by distracting him, then meet you there."
"But, Noelle–" Chica started to say, but I cut her off.
I threw a quick glare at her. "Do as I say. You didn't listen to me before, so listen now." I got no reply, but I could hear Mike and Sam grab the others and lead them into the Toys' Security Office, where the passage was. All the while, I continued looking into Trap's now dull silver-rimmed eyes as he approached me, but I stood my ground.
Trap suddenly stopped several feet away from me and looked me in the eyes, likely debating his next move.
Deciding to take a witty approach, I smirked. "I guess you don't want to talk before you kill me, right?"
Trap then charged at me.
I quickly dodged. "Ok, I'll take that as a yes."
Trap turned and hissed softly as we started circling each other like animals, waiting to see who'd make the next move.
Mike and Sam quickly led the Original Main Four through the hidden passageway they didn't even know existed in the Toys' Security Room, but they soon reached a dead end.
"What be we doin' 'ere?" Foxy questioned in confusion.
Freddy growled. "You idiots led us to a dead-end."
"Guys, we have to go back and help Noelle. We can't just leave her to fight my father by herself." Bonnie said with a worried look as she glanced back to where Sam was to make sure they wouldn't try going back.
"Calm down. You should know by now that Springtrap and Noelle have many tricks up their sleeves. Neither one will harm the other, at least not too badly." Sam reassured, muttering the last part to himself so he wouldn't worry or anger the animatronics.
"Yeah, things aren't always as they seem, and like Noelle says, 'Anything can happen.'" Mike then knocked on the wall. "Come on, Fritz, open the damn door already," he demanded while impatiently tapping his foot.
Suddenly, a door appeared in front of the group and opened, revealing a staircase leading down to Springtrap's base.
Chica looked in shock at the door and stairway that appeared. "What the– How is this possible?"
"Just hurry up and get in." Mike snapped, looking at them. "I don't want to deal with anything else that wants to massacre me." He then headed down.
The Original Main Four looked at each other before heading down, with Sam following behind and closing the door behind him, which magically disappeared afterward. With Mike leading the way through the newly built tunnels, they all made it into the main room of Springtrap's base, where they saw Jeremy, sitting in the only rolling chair, still looking at the cameras, and Fritz, who was sitting next to him on a stool by another set of keys connected to the enormous control panel.
Freddy looked around with an irritated expression. "What is all this?" He then gestured to the other night guards upon noticing them. "Why are there more night guards down here?"
"Well–" Fritz, an orange-haired night guard with freckles, started to reply but was cut off.
Mike glared at Fritz, who he knew was about to say something stupid to the group of animatronics that could kill them. "Do us all a favor, Fritz, and shut up; you were the one against saving them in the first place, so you don't have a say in the situation."
Fritz cowered back, not wanting to make Mike angry.
Sam walked past the Original Main Four, ignoring Mike and Fritz, toward the control panel. Now standing next to Jeremy, he looked at the screen. "Jeremy, switch to the camera Noelle and Springtrap are on." He ordered with authority he rarely showed, even when he was one of the most senior employees in Fazbear Entertainment.
"Y-yes, sir," Jeremy said, then switched to the camera.
On the screen, Springtrap and Noelle were circling each other like animals. Springtrap glanced away from Noelle and directly at the camera before letting out a low but audible hiss. Suddenly, the screen was covered in static, and through it, everyone saw Springtrap gesture his head toward the camera, making Noelle glance at it.
"You don't want them to see this?" she asked.
Springtrap only hissed in response.
Noelle sighed. "Very well."
The camera shut itself off.
"Sorry about this, guys, but I'll be back as soon as possible," Noelle said through her end of the comlink before shutting it off.
Chica clenched her hands to her chest, fearful as she looked at the black screen with 'Camera Disabled' on it. "What are we going to do now?"
"Noelle's going to get herself killed," Bonnie worried nervously, pulling down her ears.
Mike sighed. "Don't worry about her," he said, leaning against the wall next to the panel.
Foxy turned and glared at him. "Do ye 'ave no compassion ye scallywag?"
"You don't know Noelle like we do," Fritz piped up.
"Y-yeah." Jeremy agreed as he flipped to another camera. "She's v-very resourceful; she'll be fine."
Sam nodded. "In the meantime, we'll watch the other Drawkills. Then we'll do some much-needed explanations."
Silence descended on all of them as they continued watching the different camera feeds on the screen as there was nothing more that could be done.
