Welcome to the next chapter of The Twin Dragons, but before starting. Let us answer some reviews:
Ryujomaru15: Thanks. I thought it would be a great addition, as Saji does deserve some growth from his dreams and desires to get stronger. Yeah, Kazuki's loyalty to Gabriel and his reasons for turning into an Angel, too. It was an almost fair and believable fight with Loki and Fenrir, with Kazuki making some sound plans meant to counter the God-Devouring Wolf. Yes, those three Dragons are going to be working together. And that is how that ended with them getting Fenrir.
shephawk: Yes, I'll ensure that moment with them fighting together against Loki is going to be a good fight, plus, their interactions.
Guest: Yeah. Issei would have done the same thing if someone had stared at Rias. So, he has no right to complain, as Kazuki said. I do plan on there being those kinds of moments between Kazuki and Gabriel. But, yeah, Kuroka will be a much closer thought and moment before that one.
AngeleX12: Thanks. It was a good review, and I'll be sure to answer them.
I'm happy to hear you liked the story thus far and hope that it'll continue being an enjoyable experience for you. I did make an image of Kazuki on the DxD Fandom site. But it would be hard to imagine Issei with Divine Dividing as the two are identical twins. I can imagine that having the dragon heart would have changes, but not those types of changes. It is kinda hard to come up with original things as the Twin Dragons follows closer to the plot, with a focus on Kazuki instead of Issei.
I do get the fact that as Issei intends on being the Harem King, his harem should be bigger. I'll think about it as the story continues. But I do think that many girls would gravitate towards Kazuki since both of them are Dragon hosts, and he has that kind of personality.
I did have something in mind for Vali if he ended up not having Divine Dividing anymore and had the idea of him getting a gravity-based Sacred Gear, which would be classed as a Space-Time Sacred Gear. I will go down into her backstory, too.
Yeah. He'll have to do that, though I can imagine his parents would have no problem with that based on the times both made those kinds of comments about grandchildren. However, Kazuki is aware that there are people far stronger than him and that he'll need to continue getting stronger.
Sona: In terms of character, I do like Sona more as a character than Rias. In terms of dreams, I can agree more with her about wanting the children from lower-class families to have the same chances as them. Plus, both she and Kazuki work well together.
Asia: I can understand that, as that is a feeling that one person would feel about Asia. But it does mean that she's too sweet for some people. XD Like Sona, the two have some good chemistry.
Raynare: I thought about making an original Fallen Angel character, but then I thought it might be a nice change of pace. Yeah, those father-daughter moments are fun writing.
Irina: Yeah, she is his first love and childhood friend. I imagine the group would fight over that position.
Lucina: I do have a lot planned for her character, her and Lucia, plus their background is going to be complicated with who their father is. I mean, if you're a hot and shy maid with someone who has a hidden fetish for maids, it's no question you're in. She was almost born for that.
Mariah: Yeah, considering that Irina wasn't raised in the church, Mariah seems more normal and knows a lot about normal trends. It is going to be fun writing their developing relationship.
Kuroka: Yeah, Kuroka is a fun character too, with an endearing backstory and personality, doing whatever it took to protect her sister while having some great times with Kazuki. Well, he has a dragon heart and dragon blood coursing through his veins, so that should be better. XD Kazuki is starting to get used to her teasing and counters it from time to time.
Ophis/Lilith: Ophis another character who isn't difficult to write, with the simplest things for her being what would make her the happiest, though she wouldn't show it. It would be nice to see Ophis learning about emotions and being an actual person. For her, asking those questions, no matter how insane, is considered normal. XD Lilith would inherit the same attachment Ophis has for Kazuki without knowing the reason why. Well, we've seen just how much damage Ophis could do with a slap. That is something Azazel might do. XD
Rossweisse/Ravel: Yes, both their talents and intellect are something that matches with Kazuki. With Ravel and Kazuki having perverted brothers, and Rossweisse dealing with a perverted god regularly, which is another reason why they resonate with one another.
Le Fay: Same. You can imagine she would have a good relationship with Kazuki, from teaching him magic to also interacting during their meetings. Well, knowing Kuroka, she would tease the hell out of Le Fay about it and even direct their relationship.
Gabriel: She is the most beautiful woman in Heaven. I do have something in mind for them.
Tiamat: Yeah, there isn't much about Tiamat in canon. It is interesting to imagine her being paired with Albion's host, who happens to be the Sekiryuutei's rival, for whom Tiamat has a deep-seated aggression. I also have their relationship planned.
Lint/Jeanne/Valerie/Kunou: I was thinking about changing the first three for some personal reasons. I do intend on keeping Kunou more, as she shares a close relationship with Ophis and Lilith, and it would be sweet for those three to share the same lover.
Ingvild: Yeah, she is an interesting character, too. And she became OP from the moment she woke up. It depends on the situation, but I can imagine some interactions with them.
It was a long review, but it does show how much you paid attention to the story and your thoughts about it. I hope that I continue writing the Twin Dragons as an enjoyable as it has been thus far.
shadowlord: It'll continue being updated as much as possible. I do see this as more giving people the chance to read it and leave their thoughts for each chapter.
goksumr1: It depends, but it'll be a manageable amount, and with them having their moments. That would be an ironic idea for Kazuki getting Runeas while Issei gets Rias.
The Joint Army
The next day, the people involved gathered together in the spacious hall located inside the Hyoudou Residence's basement, including the student Council. But, added onto the group was the Vali Team, aside from Le Fay, who Kazuki could guess Arthur and the others didn't want involved in this one. Aside from that, there was awkward tension between the people who stood there due to their actions against them. But it was something that was allowed after Azazel and Sirzechs talked to them about the situation.
However, the sole people not there were Odin and Rossweisse, who were contacting their homeland to talk about Loki and Fenrir being involved. Their group might've had an issue with the Vali Team, but they needed the help to fight against the duo. It simply reminded them that their opponent this time was a God and one of the strongest creatures in the world, which was needed for them to accomplish the meeting with the Shinto and Norse factions.
But that meant that the Three Legendary Dragons' hosts were the biggest chance against the God, even though neither could access their full potential. One chance for them to win came in the form of their released states, the Juggernaut and Infernal Drive. But neither were good options for different reasons, which was the reason that it led to this strategy meeting.
"First of all, Vali. What is your reason for cooperating with us?"
Azazel asked, standing in front of the whiteboard brought into the basement, knowing him for the longest, but still unaware of his full intentions.
"I just want to fight Loki and Fenrir. Bikou and the others have already agreed to it. Does this reason not satisfy you?"
Vali replied with a confident smile, with Azazel staring at him with twitching eyebrows.
"Yeah, I'm not satisfied," Azazel replied before sighing. "But we want you as our manpower. Right now, we are in a situation where each faction can't send their manpower to us because of the Hero faction. There might be a connection between your team and the Hero Faction, but…. Due to your personality traits, there's no way for you to cooperate with the Hero-faction."
"Yeah, we try not to get involved with each other as much as possible," Vali replied, thinking of their team's usual interactions and clashes with that faction. "I'm still planning to fight Loki and Fenrir even if we aren't able to get your cooperation. Though if you don't cooperate with us, then we will still battle them while dragging you into it."
It sounded almost like a threat for them, though the fact remained there weren't many options for them to deny the aid from the Vali team.
"It seemed like Sirzechs was thinking hard about this, but he said he won't be able to turn down the offer of you who is the sole survivor of the descendants of Old-Maou. He sure is a naïve Maou, but I also think that it would be better to have you cooperate with us rather than letting you roam free."
"Though there are more issues on which we can't agree with each other."
Rias stated, after hearing Azazel's opinion.
Sona shared the same opinion, not agreeing with the idea of working alongside them, but knew that from a strategic standpoint it was sound. However, among the group, those who didn't have the same opinion were Kazuki and Asia, who lived with them for ten days. It was true that Kazuki didn't like the fact that Vali threatened their parents, but he knew that Vali wasn't the type of person to kill someone's family for a fight.
"Though he's probably plotting something."
Azazel stated, staring at Vali.
"Who knows."
"Though it won't be a problem if we make it so that we can cut down any suspicious movements."
"I don't have any intentions of doing something like that, but if you were to come at me, I won't be going down doing nothing."
Azazel and Vali kept having a unique back-and-forth that two some looked like a father-son argument.
"Well, let's put this about Vali away for now. Let's move on to the countermeasure against Loki. I'm planning to ask a countermeasure about Loki and Fenrir from a certain someone."
Azazel stated.
"You are going to ask about Loki and Fenrir?"
Vali asked.
"Yeah, there is this guy who knows very well about those guys. So I will have him give information to us."
Azazel stated, knowing the person who would know something more about Fenrir and Loki, which was a surprise for the people standing there.
"Who is this person?"
Issei asked.
"Hm, is it the other Dragon King, Midgardsormr, the Sleeping Dragon?"
Kazuki asked, raising his hand.
"Yes, Mister Know-it-All. I plan on calling Midgardsormr."
Azazel replied, with Kazuki raising his brow at the "Mister Know-it-All" comment.
"Well, that's an obvious choice, but will Midgardsormr respond to our call?"
Vali added, knowing of the Dragon King too.
"Kazuki, whose Midgardsormr?"
Issei asked, leaning closer to Kazuki.
"Like Fenrir, he is another creation of Loki, so pretty much his son and Fenrir's brother."
Kazuki replied, surprising Issei.
"EH?! He created a Dragon too?!"
"We will open the Dragon Gate with the Two Heavenly Dragons, the Wendish Dragon, the power of the Dragon-King, Fafnir, Vritra, and Tannin. We will just summon Midgardsormr's consciousness over there. His actual body is sleeping in the depths of the ocean in Northern Europe."
Azazel explained, with Saji looking surprised.
"Is it me or am I…also included…? The truth is I feel pushed back because everyone else are monsters…."
Saji stated, raising his hand.
"It's fine, Saji. All we're doing is activating a Dragon Gate. Well, unless Azazel does something outlandish, then I don't know."
Kazuki replied, trying to console Saji.
"Well, thanks for the vote of confidence. I will have you come as one of the factors needed. Leave the majority of it to me and the Two Heavenly Dragons. Hold on until I get in contact with Tannin. I will go and talk to Shemhazai about the countermeasure for this. You guys stay on stand-by until I come back. Baraqiel, follow me."
"Roger that."
Azazel and Baraqiel left the hall after those words, leaving behind the Occult Research Club, the Student Council, and the Newspaper Club, causing more of an awkward air. For the Student Council, none of them had much of an honest interaction with the Vali Team, but aware of what they'd done thus far.
"Sekiryuutei!"
Bikou ignored the atmosphere and called out Issei.
"W-What?"
Issei asked, with Bikou making a naughty smile.
"Can I go to the indoor pool below this floor?"
Bikou asked without fear, causing Issei to be surprised by the odd request, with Rias stepping up.
"Hey. This house belongs to me and the Sekiryuutei, Hyoudou Issei. I won't allow you to do as you please."
Rias stated as she stood up to Bikou.
"Ah, so I guess our parents are a footnote."
Kazuki thought at the thought of his parents who bought the home not ignored.
"Now~ Now~, let me use it. Switch princess…" Rias then snapped Bikou on the head in response to hearing that title with a reddened face and teary eyes. "Ouuuuuch! What was that for?! Switch-princess!"
"You! Because of you, I am being called weird names in the Underworld!"
Rias stated as she pointed her finger at him, showing that she wasn't fine with being called the Switch Princess.
"Who cares. Oppai Dragon, I also watch that show. I'm honored since the name I gave is being used."
Bikou stated, while laughing and enjoying that.
"Nggggggh! What should I do with you…!"
Rias almost erupted from interacting with Bikou as she was being covered in a red aura.
"S-So this is the last Excalibur! So amazing."
Irina asked as she stood beside Arthur.
"When did she get over there?"
Kazuki asked, noting the last spot that Irina stood before noticing she was beside Arthur.
"Yes. Vali got information from his connections, and after comparing it to the scroll passed in my family, we were able to find it. Though the location of it is a secret."
Arthur replied honestly, showing a gentlemanly air, with Kiba, Xenovia, and Mariah listening in, too from where the three of them stood.
"Well, at least, some people are getting along with one another," Kazuki stated, noticing that the tenseness in the air was slowly diminishing, then noticed that Asia was getting his attention. "Huh, Asia?"
"U-Umm, Kazuki, can I thank Vali?"
Asia asked, pointing to Vali, who was reading from a book.
"Alright, let's go."
Kazuki agreed, having no issue with that, knowing that Asia was referring to the time that he and the Vali Team ended up saving them from the Dimensional Gap.
Asia nods her head silently at my word.
"Vali, can I have a second?"
Kazuki asked him, turning his attention from the book in his hand to glance at them.
"What is it, Kazuki?"
Vali asked, with Kazuki directing his attention to Asia as the silver-haired man did the same.
"I wanted to thank you very much for saving me and Kazuki the other day."
Asia replied, bowing her head.
"Hmm? Ah. That's right. Well, we just happened to have crossed paths with you and Kazuki in the Dimensional Gap. Let's not worry about it much."
Vali replied, speaking his mind on the matter.
"Still, thank you."
Asia smiled again and bowed her head, much to the surprise of Vali, who thought she wouldn't do that.
After that, he kept reading the book in his hand, which to Kazuki looked like a book on magic, thinking that it was on Norse Magic. With him and Asia deciding to give him his space and read the book.
"…."
"…Nyan."
Kazuki glanced to find Kuroka around Koneko, Gasper, and Ravel, who gathered around the white-haired young girl, even the Phenex Girl. Koneko was still glaring at her older sister on alert due to the previous relationship that was shared between them, while Kuroka maintained a beautiful smile.
"…Ko…Koneko-chan's sister is beautiful, but she is s…scary~"
Gasper said, scared of Kuroka, hiding behind Koneko and Ravel, with Issei questioning his manhood.
"Kuroka, don't be mean."
Kazuki stated, standing behind Kuroka with a raised brow.
"I'm not being mean. Shirone has been glaring at her poor Onee-sama. And it's making me sad," Kuroka said in a faux-sad tone. "Please console me~"
Kuroka then wrapped her arms around Kazuki's arm, causing her abundant chest to be pushed up against him, and he could feel the soft sensation of her breasts. Noticing this sparked an immediate reaction from Ravel, Raynare, Irina, and Sona, who glared at them.
"Heh, it hasn't been that long since we've seen each other, but you look manlier than ever, nya~ I wonder if that's something that tends to happen when someone's had a 'taste'."
"…."
Kazuki glanced to the side as Kuroka whispered those words in a low tone that made him realize what she meant by having a 'taste', more so as she even winked right at him. He could feel his brother glancing, more like glaring, in his general direction.
"Will Koneko-chan become this beautiful when she grows up? Then she really will turn into a beautiful woman! I started to become eager to look forward for it!"
Issei thought, with Koneko glancing in his direction as if sensing it.
Lick.
Kazuki was surprised as Kuroka licked his cheek without warning.
[…!]
Asia, Irina, Ravel, Raynare, and Sona glared in their general direction.
"Hmm, what an interesting taste. I guess this isn't what a virgin tastes like."
Kuroka whispered.
"H-Hey, don't get too close to our Kazuki!"
Raynare demanded.
"Kazu-chan isn't someone to play with!"
Irina stated.
"Th-This isn't the point of the meeting. So, I'll please request you stop and step from him."
Sona added, finding herself sounding as calm as possible, but was fuming herself as she fixed her glasses.
"Unhand, Kazu-sama!"
Ravel added.
"…," Kuroka smiled as she kept hugging Kazuki with a mischievous smile forming on her face. "I have a real fun idea."
"What?"
Asia asked curiously.
"I'll be borrowing Kazuki for a bit! Bye!"
Kuroka then teleported from the basement with Kazuki in hand, causing the people, even Vali, Bikou, and Arthur, to blink at the scene from her random antics.
[What?!]
Asia, Irina, Ravel, Raynare, and Sona shouted as Kuroka took Kazuki somewhere.
"Where did she take Kazu-chan?!"
Irina asked.
"Hm, I don't know. Honestly, it's hard to predict what Kuroka does at times."
Arthur honestly replied.
"Hahaha, what said that your group's boy toy got taken away?!"
Bikou was laughing at what was happening.
"Where did she take him?"
Raynare asked as she approached Bikou.
"Hah, I know as much as Arthur. And that guy tends to know a lot. What? Mad that Kuroka is…huh?"
Lift!
Bikou was surprised as Raynare lifted him off the air with both hands, surprising the people in the room as he was receiving death glares from the Fallen Angel.
"Damn, she's strong."
Saji stated, surprised.
"Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned."
Momo stated as Bikou was in the air.
"Hahah, so are you going to let me go?"
Bikou asked, trying to hide his surprise that Raynare lifted him off the ground.
"I know that Youkai are weak to light."
Raynare replied as an aura of light seemed to surround her.
"Hahaha, is anyone going to help me?" Bikou asked, looking around the room, but then noticed Rias coming in beside Raynare. "Aw, did Switch Princess forgive me?"
"No, I just saw a chance."
Rias stated, smiling threateningly as a red aura covered her.
"Hahaha."
Bikou was laughing nervously as he was being glared at by Raynare and Rias.
"Oh, lord in heaven," Mariah seemed to be praying or at least giving thanks. "I love this life of mine that you gave to me. So that I could experience all this with the greatest happiness."
In that instance, Mariah was smiling and laughing at the things she was witnessing firsthand in front of her with a look of satisfaction on her face. Kiba gave a wry smile, knowing full well that his sister was enjoying these scenes to the fullest, which went on for a while.
After Azazel returned, he wondered where Kazuki went, with them informing him that Kuroka 'borrowed' him. Of course, that led to the Governor General having various ideas running through his mind. But was silenced by the pout from his 'daughter'. Of course, Azazel did contact Kazuki to return to the assigned location to summon the Dragon King, Midgardsormr. And once the people gathered together, they appeared in a white space that went through special preparations to summon his consciousness.
"Where did she take you?"
Issei asked, almost quizzing his brother for the wrong reasons.
"Back to their base," Kazuki replied, before turning to his brother with a serious look. "And before whatever weird thoughts starts running through your head. Nothing happened."
There, Tannin was waiting for them.
"It hasn't been that long since we last met, all of you."
"Old man!"
Issei called out, smiling as he noticed Tannin's presence, who then glanced at Saji.
"…So the one over there is Vritra, huh?"
Tannin knelt to stare at Saji and could feel the presence of Vritra in him.
"D…D…Dragon…. A Dragon-King! The Ultimate-class Devil…!"
Saji stated with a mix of nervousness and admiration as he stared at someone who was both a Dragon King and an Ultimate-Class Devil.
"Don't feel nervous. Old-man looks scary on the outside, but he is a good dragon."
Issei reasoned.
"I...Idiot! He is the Ultimate-class Devil Tannin-sama! To call him an o…o…old man," Saji stated, with Issei finding his reaction weird. "Ultimate-class Devils are those that only the chosen ones could become in the Underworld. Add to that, the current Top Rating Gamer are all Ultimate-Class Devils. With the amount of contribution, the results in the game, and your ability, you could finally reach that rank when you receive the best estimated value in all of those areas. For the Devils, it is the best ranking there is."
Hearing his explanation, Issei looked surprised, not surprised that Saji, who intended on being a teacher at Sona's school, would know about that.
"Nii-san, you were surprised after meeting Tannin, too. I do recall that you were scared, too."
Kazuki teased.
"Hah, who told you that?!"
Issei asked, almost embarrassed thinking back to that.
"Yuuto."
Kazuki replied, causing Issei to groan at the thought of Kiba's smiling and apologetic face, with Saji laughing at his reaction too. But he could admit that he did want to aim for Ultimate-Class Devil, too.
"Kokuryuukou. The moment you show the slightest suspicious movement, I'll bite you apart without hesitation."
Tannin threatened Vali, giving him a bitter smile.
[Oi, Tannin, don't go about threatening my Vali!]
Zirnitra transmits her thoughts about Tannin's threat out loud with Vali now rolling his eyes at the "My Vali".
"Don't try acting innocent, Wendish Dragon. I still recall all the Dragons that fell due to you."
[Oh, come on, I wasn't that bad of a Dragon.]
Zirnitra defended herself.
"You left corpses of Dragons in your wake for the slightest transgression, stole their powers, and treasures like a youthful thug. You aren't even an Evil Dragon, yet all the disasters you caused were no different. Even Evil Dragons often avoided you."
Tannin stated, glaring at Zirnitra as if her spirit was embodied in front of him.
[Okay, maybe I was a little naughty.]
"A little?"
Tannin raised a brow.
"Well, if you guys are done bickering, I'm close to being finished." Azazel gained their attention, activating a spell with his own personal magic circle. "I would have called Tiamat. But, I doubt that she would have come. And had some doubts she wouldn't try to burn Ise."
"But will that guy come? Even I only met him two or three times."
Tannin asked, sighing at those last meetings.
"If the Two Heavenly Dragons and Wendish Dragon are here, then he will respond, whether he wants to or not."
Azazel replied.
"Is he a difficult Dragon?"
Issei asked, turning to Tannin.
"That guy never moves. He is one of the creatures that makes his movement at the end of the World. He's sleeping till his role starts. He'd come up to the surface sometimes, but even at those times, he continued to sleep. Several hundred years ago, he finally declared that he would continue to sleep until the end of the World."
Tannin explained, with Issei surprised that such a Dragon could become a Dragon King.
"Well, if he's a Dragon King, then he has to be insanely powerful, especially if he's meant to act near the end of the world."
Kazuki stated, with Issei at least nodding his head.
"The base of the magic circle is completed. Now everyone, stand at the location given."
Azazel explained.
After that, the group started heading to their designated spots: the Heavenly Dragons, the Wendish Dragon, and the Dragon Kings. Once Azazel confirmed their positions, he'd activated a magic circle to start the last input, then the magic circles shined red, white, black, gold, black, purple, the others not there shined blue and green.
[Each of them reflects the color of each Dragon.] Ddraig had explained to Issei. [They aren't here now, but blue represents Tiamat, and the green represents Yu-Long.]
As the magic circle activated, a projection appeared right in front of them as a shape started to manifest right in front of them. In that instance, Issei's and Saji's jaws dropped without hesitation, with Kazuki's eyes widened with Vali surprising himself. What appeared in front of their eyes was a gigantic Dragon whose size fit the entire space, without one inch of him being seen, even then it wasn't the complete picture.
"Uwaa, this dragon is bigger than Great Red-san!"
Issei thought, surprised, after noticing how large Great Red was, but this Dragon dwarfed him in size and length.
"This guy has the biggest body out of all the dragons. It must have five or six times the mass of Great Red."
Tannin explained, with their mouths dragging more.
[…GUGOGOGOGOGOGOOOOOOOOON….]
"Like I thought, he's sleeping. Hey, wake up, Midgardsormr."
Tannin called out.
[…This nostalgic presence of a Dragon. Fuaaaaaaah….] Midgardsormr called out, letting a gigantic sigh from his mouth. [Oh, it's Tannin~. It's been a while. …Even Ddraig and Albion are here. …Also Fafnir…and Vritra…? Is it the end of the World?]
Midgardsormr looked confused as so many Dragons appeared there.
"No, it isn't. We came here today because there's some things that we wanted to ask you, so we summoned your consciousness to this place."
Tannin explained.
[…GU…GUGOGOGOGOGN….]
Midgardsormr falls asleep in the middle of the conversation.
"Don't sleep! Geez, you and Yu-Long never fixed your lazy attitude, so I can't stand it!"
Tannin got mad mentioning Yu-Long too, who seemed to share the same attitude, with Midgardsormr waking up.
[…You are always angry, Tannin…. So what is this thing you want to ask me about?]
"I want to ask you about your brother and father."
Tannin asked, sighing.
[So it's about Wanwan and Daddy. Okay~. Daddy and Wanwan are beings I don't care about anyway…. Ah, but Tannin. Tell me one thing.]
"What is it?"
Tannin asked.
[Aren't Ddraig and Albion going to fight?] Midgardsormr asked before looking at them and linked his eyes just a couple of times. [Awww, I think I'm seeing double because I see two of the same faces.]
"No, they aren't. Both their current hosts are twin brothers. So, they aren't going to be fighting anytime soon.
Tannin explained.
[Hee, interesting…. I was wondering about it because both of them are standing together without fighting. Twins, huh. The world works in weird ways.] Midgardsormr stated before speaking. [Wanwan is far more troublesome than Daddy. You would die most of the time if you were bitten by his fangs. But he has a weakness. The magic-chain, Gleipnir, created by the Dwarves, can capture him. You can seal his movement with that.]
"We have already checked that," Azazel replied. "But from the reports from the North, Gleipnir didn't work. That's why I thought about getting another method from you."
"Gleipnir are magical chains said to have been used to bind Fenrir once."
Kazuki replied, knowing that Issei might have had trouble catching up, with Saji also hearing that too, with the gigantic Dragon sighing.
[…..Hmm, maybe Daddy had enhanced Wanwan. If that's the case, then ask the Dark Elves living in a certain land of the Norse World. If I remember correctly, their Elder knows a technique to power up the magic residing within the Dwarves' items. I will transmit the location of the place where the Elder is living to the Sacred Gears of Ddraig, Zirnitra, and Albion.]
"Send the information to Hakuryuukou and Kokuryuukou. This one has an unfortunate brain, so we are having a hard time."
Azazel stated, with Issei glaring at him.
"But Dwarves and Elves do exist, huh."
Issei asked.
"The majority of them hid inside of the other world due to the major change in the human world. Small groups of them still live in a secret area of the human world, though."
Azazel replied.
"Hm, it seems as if I received a little bit too much information on the Dwarves."
Kazuki replied.
[Hee, the Hakuryuukou, Ingrid was well-liked by the Dwarves and the Elves. She even took care of me once when I surfaced for a while. So, I thought it would be nice to the current Hakuryuukou. Plus, just looking at him, he kind of reminds me of Ingrid too.]
Midgardsormr replied, surprising Kazuki.
"I understood their locations. Azazel, activate the world map using the holographic vision."
Vali replied as Azazel opened up his mobile phone to activate the holographic image of the world map, with Vali then pointing at a certain location. After that, Azazel sent the location to his comrades.
"Hou, you know that much."
Tannin stated in admiration.
[Yeah. When I went up to the land, the Elves and Dwarves took care of me.]
Midgardsormr stated.
"So, how do we take care of Loki?"
Tannin asked.
[Yeah~. Daddy would probably be okay if you used Mjölnir against him.]
Midgardsormr replied, with Azazel putting a finger under his chin.
"In other words, we have to attack him normally, huh. But, will the Thunder God, Thor lend us his Mjölnir if that Shitty Geezer Odin asks him…?"
Azazel asked.
"I doubt Thor will let us borrow it. That is one of the weapons only Gods can use."
Vali replied this time.
[If that's the case, ask the Dwarves and Dark-Elves I mentioned earlier. They should have received the replica of Mjölnir from Odin.]
"We are saved thanks to your knowledge, Midgardsormr."
Azazel stated with a grateful smile.
[No, no. Talking like this, at times, is fun. Now~, I will be going then. I will be sleeping again. Fuaaaaa~.]
Midgardsormr stated with a big sigh as the projection started to turn off.
"Yeah, thanks."
Tannin stated, with Midgardsormr surprisingly giving a smile.
[It's okay. Wake me up again if something happens.]
Midgardsormr replied to his fellow Dragon King.
Although he was an odd Dragon King, the information he provided by him with information meant to stop Loki and Fenrir, two of the strongest opponents they have ever fought thus far.
"Well, I'll get to work on getting the Mjölnir Replica through Odin," Azazel stated before glancing at his students with an interested gaze. "You guys can return to your groups and explain to them what happened, then rest for a bit till we get things prepared."
"Hm, I'll return, but I think that I'll head to the place that Midgardsormr mentioned with the Dwarves for a while."
Kazuki revealed, surprising them.
"Oh, that's surprising. I wasn't expecting that."
Azazel stated with an expression to match his surprise.
"How come?"
Issei asked.
"Well, since they're craftsmen. It would be a shame if I didn't ask them if a little upgrade was possible."
Kazuki replied with a smile.
"Oh, that'll be interesting."
Vali couldn't hide his surprise in Kazuki wanting to meet the Dwarves himself to request and upgrade.
"Oh, I'm just getting started with the surprises."
Kazuki replied with a confident look.
"Hah?!"
Issei looked surprised by that this time.
"What, Hyoudou?"
Saji asked with a raised brow.
"Hah, did you lie before? Did you have sex with Koneko-chan's hot Onee-sama?!"
Issei asked without fear.
"…."
Kazuki smiled with a strained look at Tannin, and Azazel sighed, while Vali and Saji stared at him, with his younger brother raising a clenched fist.
"Ouch!"
The sound of Issei shouting as Kazuki punched him on top of his head seemed to spread around the space.
As intended, the young men returned to their respective groups, explaining the situation that Azazel devised with Midgardsormr's assistance. Of course, Kazuki surprised his group by telling them he intended on meeting up with the Dwarves for an 'upgrade'. But it meant that he would be gone until the start of the battle, leading to putting Raynare in charge of the team until he returned, aided by Raynare.
Tomorrow, those who'll be involved in the Loki Incident wouldn't be attending school today, instead, their familiars would go in their place. It wasn't something Sona was comfortable with as it meant if something were to happen, she wouldn't be there to solve it. However, at the same time, the current incident was more important as it involved a potential cataclysm in the form of Loki and Fenrir.
"Here is the present from Odin the geezer. The replica of Mjölnir. Geez, that shitty geezer was hiding this thing. But that Midgardsormr, I can't believe he knew about this."
Azazel stated, scratching his head at the thought of something so powerful being around, more so based on the weapon as powerful as Thor's famed Mjölnir.
"Is it that amazing?"
Issei asked, not knowing much about such a weapon.
"It is the replica of the legendary weapon wielded by the Norse Thunder God, Thor. This has the lightning of God running through it," Azazel explained. "Hmm, it would have been easier if Kazuki was here, but the kid is still with the Dwarves. But it would have been much easier if Thor were to come; if that were the case, then this wouldn't have been an issue. He's a God as strong as Fenrir, meaning he's listed as among the strongest beings, too. So, that's how strong his weapon would be."
"…."
Issei swallowed dry spit at the thought of that.
"Yes, Odin-sama said he will lend this replica of Mjölnir to Sekiryuutei-san. Here you go."
Rossweisse approached him, holding what looked to be a normal hammer, which had both gorgeous decorations and designs on it. He held the Mjölnir Replica in his hands, not sensing much from the hammer, but the fact that it was supposed to defeat Loki, then it meant there had to be more to it.
"Please send your aura through it."
Rossweisse explained, with Issei again staring at it, then inserted a strong amount of demonic power in the Mjölnir Replica, causing the characters on the hammer to shine with a golden light. He started feeling there was a great power building up and then….
FLASH!
In a flash and instant, the hammer suddenly grew in size until it turned into a gigantic hammer that exceeded the heights of Issei, Azazel, and Rossweisse, who stepped aside as the hammer fell to the ground. After falling on the ground, the hammer produced a shockwave that shook the entire hall the three stood in, digging a giant hole into the ground from the immense weight.
"Funnnnnnnngh!"
Issei grunted as he tried lifting the hammer, but it didn't budge an inch.
Despite how strong he got from training with Tannin, his base strength wasn't as strong as whenever he was in his Balance Breaker state.
"Hey hey hey. You put too much aura into it. Keep it down," Azazel warned him, making a sigh, as Issei followed the advice, lowering his aura as the Mjölnir Replica got smaller till it fit inside of his hands. But the weight still didn't change, and he couldn't lift it. "You should be able to lift it in Balance Breaker. Anyway, just stop for now."
After letting go of the hammer, it returned to its original size as it wasn't being supplied with aura from Issei's demonic power.
"Even if it's a replica, it has power close to the real one. Normally, it can only be used by a God, but with Baraqiel, who helped imbue his Holy Lightning into it, it became possible for even Devils to temporarily hold it. Don't swing it around randomly, okay? The whole area around this place will vanish because of the high energy of thunder."
"Seriously!? Uwaa, scary," Issei stated, then stared at him. "Don't you think you should've worried me about that? What if I released that lightning?"
"Then it'd be on you, not me," Azazel seemed to tease as Issei glared at him, but then he thought about the fact that if he included Boost into the replica, then it could defeat Loki. "Vali, how about you beg that geezer as well. Maybe right now, he might give you something special."
"Don't need it." Vali made a fearless smile. "I'm planning to master the untapped power of Zirnitra, who was said to be close to the Heavenly Dragons in power. I don't need extra weapons. What I want is something else."
"…!"
Issei didn't want to admit it, but those words sounded amazing and piercing, being something that one who was overflowing with such talent and potential could say. Vali was strong enough, as if without training, meaning that it would be possible for him to obtain greater power. It was something that made him jealous that he and Kazuki are his main rivals, however, it was that same thing that made him want to work harder.
"Bikou, good timing. I received a message directed to you."
Azazel looked to find that Bikou seemed to have approached Vali with his arms crossed behind his arms, while looking as casual as always.
"Huh? To me? From who?"
Bikou asked, pointing to himself.
"It goes, "Fool. I will punish you as soon as I find you". It was from the Shodai. It seemed like he was looking for you with Yu-Long."
"T-That shitty geezer is…. So he found out about me being a terrorist. On top of that, Yu-Long too!"
For the first time, Bikou looked worried as he heard those words from Azazel, knowing full and well who was the one coming to find him. Issei was surprised as Bikou had been nothing short of casual and fearless, but this time, he was terrified. However, based on the term "Shodai", he meant that it meant the First Generation.
"Bikou, should we go to your homeland once? It might be interesting to meet Yu-Long and the First Generation Sun Wukong."
Vali stated with interest.
"Don't do that, Vali," Bikou almost begged. "Putting aside Yu-Long, who seems to be retired, the first generation geezer is a real monster. He can still be considered as active. That geezer has mastered Senjutsu and Youjutsu completely, so he is really strong…."
Bikou stated, never wanting to meet him ever again, which spoke volumes as he once fought Tannin, who was a Dragon King and Ultimate-Class Devil. Speaking of Tannin, the man was joining in the battle against Loki and his son, Fenrir, which was a plus for them.
"Ah~, I will be reconfirming our strategy. First, we will wait for him to show up at the place of the meeting being held, then the Sitri Group will use their powers to teleport you guys to a different location alongside both Loki and Fenrir. The location of the place you guys will be transferred to is a demolished stone pitting site. The ones taking on Loki will be Ise, Kazuki, and Vali. We will counter him with the Three Dragons. Those taking on Fenrir would be the other members of the Gremory Team, Kazuki's Team, and Vali Team, who will use the chain to capture it. I will have you guys eliminate it afterward. We can't let Fenrir get to Odin. The fangs of that wolf can crush a God. Even if it is the Chief-God, he'll die if bitten by those fangs. We have to stop that from happening at any cost."
Azazel explained, staring at them with a serious look, with Issei feeling the pressure of the situation even if he did have Kazuki and Vali fighting alongside him.
"Now, since we left the chain to the elder from the Dark Elves, we just have to wait for it to be completed, so what is left is…" Azazel looked at Saji, causing him to step up. "Saji."
"What is it, Azazel-sensei?"
Saji asked.
"You are also important for this strategy. You do have the Vritra Sacred Gear after all."
Saji looked surprised by those words.
"Pl…Please hold on a second! I…I don't have insane power like those three!? I won't be able to fight by taking on a God and Fenrir! I thought I just have to transfer everyone with Kaichou and others!"
Saji reasoned, seeing as he has one Sacred Gear that isn't on the same level as the likes of the Boosted Gear, Divine Dividing, and Infernal Force. So, against a God, it would be hard for him to attempt to fight against one on the level of Loki.
"I know," Azazel sighed, smiling. "I won't say things like fighting in the front line to you. But I will have you support your allies with Vritra's power. Especially Ise, Kazuki, and Vali, who are fighting in the front line, need your support."
"S…Support."
"For that, you will need a bit of training. There is something I want to try out. Sona, I will borrow this guy for a bit."
Azazel asked, turning to Sona, who looked at the situation and thought of it.
"That is okay, but to where?"
Sona asked, being worried for Azazel doing something odd.
"I'm taking him to the Fallen Angels territory in the Underworld, Grigori's institute."
Azazel replied, making a smiling face that no one there had any kind of faith in.
At that, Issei made a sad expression, placing a hand on Saji's shoulder, looking as if he were about to send him to his upcoming death.
"Saji, Sensei's training is hell. I almost died in the Underworld, too. On top of that, you are going to the laboratory institute. You are dead."
Issei stated, saying words full of pity, with Saji looking terrified.
"Hahaha. Then let's get going, Saji."
Azazel stated, grabbing onto Saji's collar without warning, then started activating a magic circle that made this an all the more terrifying moment.
"Seriously!? Hyoudou, don't let him drag me off like this! Kazuki would at least give me some encouraging words! H-Help meeeeee! Hyoudoooooou! Kaichoooooou!"
"Goodbye, Saji. I will never forget you." Issei saluted to his old friend, with Sona and the others in the peerage all glancing at him. "Well, putting that aside, Saji will be our support? What is Sensei planning…?
[In the battle against you, Vritra, who was sleeping inside that boy started to wake up. It must have something to do with that.]
Ddraig explained.
"Well, Saji has been putting more effort into training with Kazuki and all. So, this might be the kind of experience that he needs to awaken," Sona reasoned. "But I am worried about what Azazel-sensei has planned for him."
[Well, Sitri Girl, whatever that weirdo Fallen Angel has planned. It'll be some good to awaken Vritra's power after all this time. He might be the weakest Dragon, but he has some interesting abilities that would be troublesome for a lot of Gods to handle.]
Zirnitra explained.
"Have you interacted with Vritra, Zirnitra?"
Sona asked.
[Hmm, yes. I met him once or twice in the past. You'll be lucky enough to have Vritra on your side. He was close to the Asura who were among the strongest Gods of Hindu mythology, which is among the strongest. And he is among the few Dragons brave enough to challenge one of the Top 10 Strongest beings despite not being one of the strongest Dragon Kings. So, you pretty much lucked out with this one, Sitri Girl.]
Zirnitra explained, being oddly helpful.
"You're right."
Sona stated.
"Huh, I didn't think she would be helpful."
Issei stated.
[Zirnitra has a unique personality; you can never know what she does.]
Ddraig stated.
[Oh, this is coming from the one with the host named the Chichiryuutei. Not that I would care, but I can imagine it's embarrassing for the Sekiryuutei.]
Zirnitra teased.
[Urgh! W-Wait! It's a misunderstanding! I-I, aaaaaaah. I also wept! My tears never stop! Uooooooon!]
Ddraig started crying as he heard such a comment being made about him.
[Ah, now I feel bad. How could you do such a thing, Hyoudou Issei?]
"Hah, I didn't tease him about it?! You did!"
Issei blamed, pointing at Zirnitra, or, well, Vali.
"Hm, she does have a habit of doing that. I often wonder how she gained a violent reputation with how much she plays around with people," Vali stated, wearing a clam expression. "But, that could be the reason."
After that and calming down Ddraig, Issei and Vali ended up meeting up with Azazel, who was working alone in the VIP room. Rias wasn't there as she received some information from Grayfia, and also, the others were doing their preparations for the upcoming battle. But, seeing as Azazel was there, there was something that he had been wondering with him being the closest one with the answer.
"Um, Azazel-sensei, I was wondering about something."
"Hm, what?"
Azazel asked, glancing from the papers.
"It's about Akeno-san. Why isn't she getting along with her father? I don't see Baraqiel-san as a bad father…."
At that question, Azazel paused from what he was doing, not that he wasn't almost done in the first place as he sighed. During that conversation, Vali was sitting a fair distance away, not paying any attention to their conversation, whether out of respect or not caring.
"It was all my fault."
Azazel replied.
After that, he then explained the history being Akeno and Baraqiel, being the daughter of a Miko from a famous temple, Shuri Himejima. Baraqiel ended up there after being wounded in battle, where Shuri took care of him till he was healed. But the two built up a strong relationship during that time, leading to the birth of their daughter, Akeno. Baraqiel didn't leave them, but he still fulfilled his role as a Fallen Angel as much as possible, acting as a father and husband. However, their peaceful life didn't last as Shuri's family, the Himejima Clan, targeted her and the "impure child" while Baraqiel wasn't there.
By the time Baraqiel sensed what was happening, he had returned to save Akeno, but Shuri wasn't saved as she sacrificed herself for Akeno. During the incident, she would hear all the hateful and spiteful things all about Fallen Angels, about her fathers, and about the blood she inherited, leading to her mother's death. That incident led to her hating her father and herself because of the blood that led to her mother's death.
"That day, the one who called him out was me. There was a mission that could only be accomplished by him. That's why I called him out recklessly. In that short time. I took his wife and her mother from Barakiel and Akeno."
Azazel stated, wearing a saddened expression as she breathed.
"Sensei. Is that why you tried to look after Akeno-san in place of Baraqiel-san?"
"…," Azazel sighed. "I noticed a lot of changes in Akeno from the time I heard she'd hated herself and the blood she inherited. And the source of that all was you. Rias and the others might have returned Akeno's smile and her ability to laugh. But the person who made her start seeing her blood as a gift instead of a curse was you. So, if anyone can do anything for Akeno, then that's you, neither me or Rias."
Hearing those words from Azazel surprised Issei, surprised to hear such a thing from him and mulled over them as the Governor General turned to Vali.
"How is it?"
Azazel asked. Vali closed the book in his hand then activated a small magic circle in the air, having one that had a resemblance to the ones used by those of the Norse.
"I learned quite a bit of Norse magic. I should be able to withstand Loki's attack for some time."
Vali replied with a smile.
"Understood. …Okay, since I finished quite a bit of work, I will rest for a bit."
Azazel stated, standing up to his feet, then left the room, leaving Issei and Vali there alone without a single other person. Although it was awkward for Issei, Vali kept his attention on the book in his hand, reading through the contents. From the moment that the Vali Team started to associate with them, they came to the house when needed. But it wasn't an issue, seeing as the Vali Team were terrorists, a part of the Khaos Brigade and enemies meant to fight.
"…You know, even if he is an "Evil-God", I still didn't expect to fight a God."
Despite sharing such a feeling, there was something that Issei wanted to talk to him about, but he didn't expect an answer since he was preoccupied.
"You should remember this. If there are good Gods, then there are Evil Gods," Vali replied, not taking his sight from his magical Norse Book. "Well, there are situations when even good Gods can be seen as evil from different perspectives…."
"Evil God, huh…. Why does he hate peace? I'm a Devil, but I feel satisfied just by enjoying my days with Buchou and everyone."
Issei replied, noticing that Vali closed the book in his hand and glanced at Issei.
"It means there are people who can consider your so-called peace to be painful," Vali replied, looking at him with serious eyes. "Also, you haven't been a Devil for no much longer than over a month. You've spent most of your entire life in peace and lived without knowing about the supernatural."
Issei couldn't deny those words as before being a Devil; he didn't know a single thing about the supernatural, and most thoughts were considered more or less fantasies read about in a book or comic. Nonetheless, Issei did not want to be believed in such a serious conflict.
"Is the current world we live in a pain to you?"
Issei asked, causing Vali to glance at the ceiling in thought.
"I just find it boring. That's why I can't feel anything but joy for this joint-battle."
Vali replied without the slightest hint of hesitation, making Issei see him more as a battle maniac.
"It sure does make me hate it. Since there are many strong guys."
"But, because of that, this world is interesting. I will become stronger than everyone."
Vali smiled at the thought of there being a strong being in the world.
Issei was aware that he, Kazuki, and Vali held three legendary Dragons tied together in their myths, the Welsh Dragon, the Vanishing Dragon, and the Wendish Dragon. But, if he did think about the three of them had dreams that differed from one another.
"I will become the Ultimate Pawn, and I will be alright if I can become a High-Class Devil. I'm aiming to make my kind of a harem," Issei replied, with a confident smile as he glanced at Issei. Well, if I can aim for it, I want to become an Ultimate-class devil, but it seems like I need to do something in my territory. Ah, maybe I can make a big business with Oppai Dragon…?"
"It certainly sounds like you."
Vali replied, being amused more and more when he interacted with the twins, more than he thought whenever he heard of the Heavenly Dragons.
"Ah, I still have one more aim."
"I will surpass you."
Those words made Vali look happy, something Issei didn't expect to see.
"Yeah, you should come up to the place where I am standing. It makes me happy as you get stronger. There was a time when I felt disappointed because you were a Sekiryuutei with no talent and who was weak, but you are trying to grow differently from all the Sekiryuutei until now. So, I thought it would be better to focus on the Hakuryuukou born with greater talent. You must be the first one to try to master the power of Sekiryuutei while communicating with Ddraig."
Vali replied, giving Issei some advice at the same time.
"Is it true, Ddraig?"
Issei asked.
[That is correct. I said it before, remember? That you are the first host to talk to me this much in history. And you don't drown too much in my power, you don't rely too much on my power, and you are trying to truly master the Sekiryuutei's power.]
Ddraig replied.
"They were all hosts who used that powerful and dangerous power as they wished. In the end, they drowned in Ddraig's power and perished in the battle."
Vali explained, hearing about that tale from Azazel and Zirnitra.
[You are the Sekiryuutei with the least talent in history. Your power and everything else is weak. But….]
"You are the first Sekiryuutei who is trying to master the power of Sekiryuutei."
Ddraig and Vali stated that Issei was becoming embarrassed from the compliments being given from his partner and rival, thinking of the high expectations people had in him.
[Users like that are the most troublesome. When we oppose them, they don't show many openings. The same thing could be said about your brother. I noticed him from training with Vali and the others. He's taking a different path a lot of Albion's hosts didn't take.]
Zirnitra added.
"You are right. And now I had a thought," Vali started off wearing a more interested look. "In the future, it might be interesting to have a match similar to a Rating Game with my team and your team."
"A game between my team and Vali's team, huh," Issei thought about the idea. "Yeah. Yeah. Yeah! Somehow, that seems fun. Heee. That seems good! I'm going to get stronger and get the best servants there is, you know? On top of that, they will all be beautiful women and beautiful girls!"
"Fufufu, then I shall be looking forward for that time to come, and I'll wait. Though it will seem like I would have to fight against the Gremory team first. One day, let's battle each other."
"Rias Gremory's group also won't lose to you guys. But don't come at us like how a terrorist does."
"Fufufu. I can't promise that."
Issei and Vali were sharing an interesting conversation as their rivalry seemed to get stronger with time, while able to understand one another. One wanted to defeat the other, while the other wanted them to reach their level as fast as possible.
"Yes, yes. It certainly is wonderful. I can feel the youth from you two."
Odin and even Rossweisse then appeared in front of Issei and Vali without making his presence known, with the former glancing to see the door hadn't even been opened since Azazel left.
"The Red, White, and Black Dragons of this generation are unique. The ones in the past were wild horses. They rampaged in every location, they started their battles selfishly, destroying the surroundings, and then died. They activated Juggernaut Drive when they felt like it. Just think how many mountains and islands were blown away."
"Certainly, the Red Dragon is a Lecherous Dragon, and the Black Dragon is a terrorist, which makes a real dangerous pairing, but you two are calmer than I thought. But Kazuki seemed to be the most natural one. I thought fighting each other immediately is the way of the Sekiryuutei, Hakuryuukou, and Kokuryuukou."
Rossweisse replied with a smile.
"Ah, so Kazuki gets the compliment."
Issei stated with a glance as Rossweisse glanced to the side a little.
"By the way, Kokuryuukou. Which part do you like?"
Odin asked with perverted eyes.
"What are you talking about?"
Vali replied, tilting his head in confusion.
"The women's body part that you like," Odin asked, pointing to Rossweisse's breasts, butt, and thighs, causing her to look on exasperated from being used as a diagram. "This Sekiryuutei over here loves breasts. Hm, I heard some rumors his brother likes maids. That's why I thought you also have a fetish like that."
"Unthinkable. I'm no Oppai Dragon."
Vali replied with a vexed expression, causing Issei to almost fault a bit.
"Now, now, you are also a man. There should be body parts that you like in a woman."
"I don't take interest in those kinds of thing that much. If I had to choose, then it would be the hip. I think the line from their waist to their hip is the part which symbolizes the beauty of a woman."
Vali replied with more seriousness without the faintest hint of perversion.
"…I see. So that makes you a Ketsuryuukou."
Odin stated in a joking tone.
[Hmm, that wouldn't be too far from the realm of truth. I did assume human form more often than other Dragons like Ddraig and Albion. I even liked doing things that Humans do. I have also 'tasted' some of the men and women from various factions. I was a beauty that could put goddesses to shame; hell, I had some goddess at my beck and call. I touched whatever I wanted, while they begged for me hand. I lived and indulged myself in battle and pleasure as a Dragon should. And trust me, the pleasure felt like Heaven to them.]
Zirnitra admitted without any shame, instead the upmost pride, causing even Odin and Issei to look surprised by those words as fantasies came to their perverted minds. Even Rossweisse was taken about by what she just heard, while Vali was not so surprised by what he heard from Zirnitra.
"Ahem, well, I received word from Kazuki-kun. It looks as if the Dwarves have become quite interested in the ideas that he brought with him for upgrades. It would be the first time in a long time that you would see them becoming inspired by what someone brought to them. It also seems as if the Dwarves still think of his predecessor enough to help her successor."
Rossweisse replied, bringing their attention back.
"Like I thought, young ones are good."
Odin stated, returning to his senses after taking a seat in front of Issei and Vali.
"What do you mean?"
Issei asked as Odin stroked his beard.
"Nothing much. Until this age, this geezer right in front of you believed that he could solve anything with wisdom. But you know, that was just the pride of this old man. What is truly important is the potential of the young ones. Hohoho, I started to realize that right now, so how foolish was I…. My pride gave birth to Loki. And now, because of my pride, the young ones are going through hardships."
Odin stated, as if looking back at the various decisions that led to certain incidents happening in the past.
"I don't get it, but wouldn't it be okay just to take it one step at a time?"
Issei stated with more blinded optimism from him, with Odin making a shocked expression.
"Kukuku," Odin then started laughing as he heard those words from Issei, surprising Rossweisse as she hadn't seen such a thing. "Being young is good. They stimulate the old ones. Yeah, you are right. That is very true."
It looked as if Odin was satisfied from speaking to Issei on the matter.
Later that evening, Issei found himself meditating in his room without his shirt on as he sank his consciousness in his Boosted Gear for the next thirty minutes.
"Haaa…."
Issei breathed out, breaking his posture.
He found himself exhausted from the situation, as this was a practice that Issei and Ddraig did, swimming into the darkness until he reached a white space. In all those situations, he found himself in a room full of nothing aside from tables and chairs, with the people were the past Sekiryuutei, whom had hollow expressions. It looked as if none of them had emotions or thoughts. Based on what Ddraig said, their consciousness awakens whenever the Juggernaut Drive is activated.
He was told such training was essential in mastering one's Sacred Gear, but there was almost no success when it came to diving into the Boosted Gear. None of the past possessors responded to his attempts at talking, which had an affect on his mental strength too.
More than that, if he managed to convince them, then being able to use the Juggernaut Drive or a power superior to it would be possible.
Open. Just then, his door opened, causing him to lean up and notice that it was Akeno, who was wearing nothing but a white cloak. She didn't say a single word to him and instead stood there, making him wonder what she had wanted. Akeno already finished up sucking out the dragon power that had been charged up on his arm during the regular interval, meaning she had no reason to be dressed up like that.
Lock.
Issei was surprised to hear that the door was locked behind Akeno, who still didn't utter a word. Now, that made his mind start running different scenarios in his head. First, her hair was undone and hanging down, with the kind of expression she had made looked as if she wasn't in her right state of mind.
"Ise-kun…."
"Yes."
Issei replied, hearing that Akeno was speaking in a low tone. Akeno undid her obi, causing the white robe she wore to fall to the ground. A trail of blood started to trail down his nose as he realized that Akeno wasn't wearing a single thing underneath the robe. Her naked, white, voluptuous body, with him becoming stiff as something like that was shown to him. Issei couldn't move as Akeno approached him without saying a word, wrapping her arms around his neck, causing her soft and elastic body to make contact with him. Her sensation. Her scent. All of the things that made Akeno an alluring woman were reaching his mind.
"Make love to me."
Akeno whispered those words to Issei.
"…M….Make…love to heeeeer!?"
Issei's mind exploded with that request as Akeno hugged him without hesitation.
He was the most excited in that moment as his body seemed to prepare himself for the experience, which were words he wanted nothing more than to hear. However, there was something wrong, different from before when she would be shy or teasing. As he looked at Akeno's eyes looked a bit lifeless and looked as if she didn't care about what would happen.
"This isn't right."
Issei stated, putting his hand on Akeno's shoulders, pushing her from him.
"…Why? Is my body not attractive…?"
Akeno asked in a shaking voice.
"T-T-That isn't true! It's the best! I never get bored of Akeno-san's enormous, large oppai, no matter how many times I touch them! I want to grab on to your butt, I also want stroke around your hips, I also want to massage your thighs which have the right thickness! I want to enjoy every part of Akeno-san, and lastly, I want to sink my face on your breast!"
"…Then you can do that, you know? I want you to do that to me. I want to give my body to you, and be embraced with your chest, and get rid of everything…. They're right in front of your eyes, and you can have them by pushing me down. But why?"
"Th…Then why do you have such a sad face?"
"…!"
At those words, Akeno stopped herself from speaking and seemed to regain her proper state of mind.
"When you do ecchi things, Akeno-san, you always seem to be having fun. But right now, it seems like Akeno-san is doing this to forget about a painful memory…."
"That's right. What would you do if I said that? I'm trying to be relieved by making love with you and heading to the battle. I thought that I could get rid of this feeling if I make love with you."
Akeno stated.
"…I will just stay like this and hug you! I won't do ecchi things to you! I am lecherous! I want to have sex with Akeno-san! But I don't want to make love with you with this kind of feelings!"
Issei stated as he seemed to stand firm on that stance, leading to him not budging an inch.
"…Ise-kun."
Akeno said, surprised.
Issei had heard of Akeno's life and past, but there wasn't a single thing he could tell her, whether about how to feel or how to deal with what had happened. He wasn't the kind of person who could come up with what to say at the drop of a hat in thoughtful moments like that. But, if there was something that he could do, then it would be to be the person that people could lean on, as Azazel told him before.
"…."
Akeno couldn't respond and instead looked down, leading to him wrapping his arms around her.
"I will stay by your side. I will always stay by your side whenever you feel sad. I will hug you like this anytime. So please. Please cheer up."
Issei said gently as he hugged her.
"…Such an idiot. Both me…and you…."
"Even if I am an idiot, I will protect Akeno-san."
Issei accepted those words without shame and instead with pride.
"…Ise…. Thank you…. I love you."
Akeno stated in a tone that sounded as if she was going to start crying in a moment as she leaned on him close to no strength in her to hold herself up. And so, Issei instead wrapped his arms around Akeno until she could get her strength back. But Akeno didn't have the strength to say those last words loud enough for Issei to hear them even at their current distance.
Around that time, there was a surprise meeting that was taking place in the living room as Baraqiel found himself in an awkward position. He was sitting down beside Garou, who arrived at the same time as he was leaving, as Miki prepared tea and snacks for them. Due to their preparations for the upcoming fight, he hadn't expected that he would meet either of the twin's parents, having no choice but to introduce himself as Akeno's father.
"Wow, I didn't think I'd end up meeting Akeno-chan's father after coming home. But it was a decent surprise."
Gorou stated with a smile.
"Yes, I didn't expect that I would meet the twin's parents either," Baraqiel replied, thinking of the times he'd talked to other Humans before. "I didn't mean to impose or anything. I just happened to have had some business here that concerned Akeno, but she seems busy. So, I thought of returning later."
"Well, don't make yourself a stranger. Akeno has pretty much become a member of the family. So, you can come and go without fear of being a bother or intruding."
Gorou said, surprisingly hospitable.
"Thank you. Also, thank you for taking care of my daughter."
"Oh, don't be worried about that. You're daughter is quite the nice and attentive girl," Miki replied, bringing in the tea and snacks. "She helps around the house. She's a darling to talk to and helps our Ise with his homework. It seems as if a lot of wonderful girls and children are gathering around ours."
Sitting down, Miki positioned the tea in front of the adults there while leaving the snacks in the middle before she picked up her cup. As Gorou and Miki took a sip from the tea, Baraqiel stared at the parents with much more of a relaxed smile. He joined in the parents' drinking from the tea in his hand and felt a decent sense of nostalgia from what he tasted.
"This tastes almost like what Shuri would brew."
Baraqiel thought with another smile as he placed the teacup down.
"My wife is right. Akeno-chan is a darling little girl, you must be proud of her."
"I am. She's made great strides from when she was a young girl and now. She has friends, is at a good school, and has an amazing future ahead of her. I couldn't be prouder," Baraqiel said with much more pride and emotion in his voice before faltering a bit. "But I fear she might not want me around as much I would like to."
"…."
Miki listened to those words as she wondered what those words could mean. At a glance, Akeno was a lovely girl, and Baraqiel looked like a caring father.
"Well, raising children can be a complicated thing. You do you best to guide and teach your child, but then they start taking a path that's their own," Garou stated as he picked up a teacup. "Take our sons, for example. Both of us raised Issei and Kazuki the same, but the two turned out so much different."
"Of course, dear. Our Ise is the incarnation of sexual desire, and Kazuki is as pure as a saint. I don't know what went wrong when Ise was growing up, but he turned out to be so lewd. Oh, how worried we were about him, thinking that he wouldn't be able to find a nice girl. I almost didn't have to be worried about Kazuki. But I did worry about him too, nonetheless with his issues."
Garou and Miki said, with Baraqiel surprised by those words to hear such a thing come from their parents.
"But, if there's one thing that we can say, then Ise and Kazuki are the best kids we could have ever asked for. It might not look like it, but Ise has a good sense of responsibility and can feel guilt." Despite the issues with Issei, there's not a single thing that Garou would want to change about him. "I remember there was one time I took Ise and Kazuki fishing. Ise used one of my favorite rods, but he ended up breaking it. After that, I can't remember a time he wanted to go fishing again because he felt bad about breaking it."
"Is that so?"
Baraqiel was surprised by those words, not expecting them.
"Our oldest might be a pervert, but his better qualities are hidden underneath them all. So, if anyone gets to know him for a little longer, then they'll be able to see what he's like beyond that. I can see that's the reason that Rias-chan and everyone started gathering around him like this."
Miki stated with a smile.
Hearing the words from Gorou and Miki, who showed the utmost love and compassion for their children, even if the two turned out different from one another. It was something that reminded him of the love he had for Akeno. No matter how much hatred she had for him, his love didn't and wouldn't change.
"I must apologize. I have said some things to your oldest since I…believe he's a pervert."
Baraqiel admitted.
"Oh, that's fine, he is."
Miki replied with a smile.
"That's right. But I'm sure you'll see he's more than that," Garou agreed, placing a comforting hand on Baraqiel's shoulder with a smile. "I would like to continue talking to you again. Ise and Kazuki are often busy with the others from time to time. Plus, we've gotten to know a lot of the other parents too."
"Oh, that sounds fun. Let's get together and talk like this," Miki had stated, smiling at the thought of the parents gathering together and talking like this. "I'm sure the parents would have some interesting stories, too."
At that, Garou and Miki shared a laugh at that thought, with Baraqiel seeming to share the same feeling as he sat down to talk to the parents like that. Honestly, he hasn't shared a lot of normal conversations with people who had no idea who or what he was. But sitting there and sharing a conversation with other parents wasn't the worst thing that he's ever done. And he kept talking to the parents sitting there, talking about menial things that served no purpose, but it was a normal talk between parents that cared for their children.
A/N: And there goes the next chapter of The Twin Dragons. Well, this was another chapter that shows the group preparing for their final battle with Loki and Fenrir. Not much different from the canon, with some new additions. It seemed as if Kuroka took Kazuki somewhere for a little while, and what went on there will be revealed later. But the group ended up summoning Midgardsormr, with him having Kazuki some information about the Dwarves, whom he went to for an "upgrade". Some more scenes show the kind of Dragon Zirnitra is, what she knows and what she did. And I'm sure that hearing those words led to a lot of fantasies in the minds of Issei and Odin.
In the end, I'm sure that a conversation between Baraqiel, Garou, and Miki was a surprise. But I thought that it would be fun to have some more scenes with the Hyoudou parents, with them meeting and talking to Barqiel, which was good for him.
Also, after thinking about it for some time, I thought to change around the harem selections, then think of what the people think in the reviews. Alright, first, I'm moving Jeanne and Lint to Issei, as surprising as that sounds. But, it is not without reason; in canon, Jeanne has shown interest in a particular manga that involves Issei and loves it. And Lint has shown interest in Issei's love life and often writes it down in a notebook.
Also, I'm sure some expected this, but I added Setsuna, who was the girl Kazuki met over the summer. I still can't believe that a descendant of Musashi Miyamoto was revealed in High School DxD Junior when I introduced one here. I mean, what are the chances of that happening? XD
