Early one morning in Washington DC, Stiles was at his apartment getting ready to head into work.
"I can't believe how lame the cyber division is even after they warned me, of course we don't get any action and just sit around but still," he said before taking a sip of coffee while standing in his kitchen.
"But it at least helps me to keep the rest of the pack safe," said Stiles while looking over at several computer monitors that were set up in the corner of the living room.
"Wonder what they are all up to now," he said. Suddenly, alarms went off from the computers as the screens went red.
"You have to be kidding me, hundreds of power surges from all over the world at once?" asked Stiles while looking at the monitors at the same time he brought up a global map which had hundreds of red dots covering it.
"Come on, Derek, pick up," he said after dialing his cell.
"Stiles, what's wrong?" asked Derek.
"We need to meet up as soon as possible, how close are you to DC?" asked Stiles as continued to stare at the monitor.
"The pack is in DC now actually, can you meet in Yards Park, it's the closest place to me right now," said Derek.
"I'll be there in half an hour," said Stiles before hanging up.
"Just what in hell is going on now?" he asked while heading for the door. Meanwhile, a woman was waiting outside in a black town car on the opposite side of the street.
"What's taking him so long, we're going to be late for work," said the woman. She then noticed Stiles leaving his apartment and heading for his jeep.
"Just where is he going?" she thought while watching him drive off.
"Better check into this, he may be in trouble," said the woman before she began to follow after the man.
