Levi and a few others were placed in charge of training some of the fresher and new recruits for a new garrison force, against both giant targets and smaller ones. The level of danger that they faced was unknown. Erring on the side of caution, they were assuming what they'll be facing was as lethal as before, if not more dangerous.

This was due to a couple of families having books and information that their old government was repressing. And what Hange found in this store's book section for all kinds of entertainment was to go by? Well, thank the Walls that they only had Titans to deal with.

There were more than just books too. With the things that Hange had gotten their hands on around here, a lot of things were certainly a tick up in quality. Their ODM-Gear was massively improved, where its gas efficiency was to the point where they could move around the Shop for over a total of twenty-four hours without running out.

It was only a matter of time where their life could be that much easier. Like building pathways to where they could reach on their two-feet instead of relying on their military equipment, as he was no doubt witnessing.

"I'm very sorry! Please, let me go!" The shrieking voice came off as both pleading and sobbing, that voice belonging to one of the new recruits, a girl named Sasha Blouse. She was inside a distant room that would take five minutes on horseback to get to where they were, and yet they could see her perfectly from a certain contraption that was showing what was happening to her.

["Keep pedaling back there!"] Their giant boss reprimanded harshly. ["You're not out of your punishment yet, young lady!"]

The young girl was seated on a mobile utility known as a 'bicycle', her legs working as fast as she could possibly move. But she was not going anywhere fast, as she was fixed in place, and the bicycle was connected to a certain tower. Atop of that tower was something they learned was a 'lightbulb', which when hooked up to a power source, created light in the area it was in.

But that's not where their wonder came from. If Logan was simply doing this as a punishment, they could argue that it was cruel, and it was only that this showing was for the entire Survey Corp instead of being public which would cause the greatest humiliation to the girl. They would feel it if they were in her position, and Levi knows that when she inevitably does come back, the newest batch of recruits are gonna remind her of this moment for all time.

However, due to a loophole in clause-one of their employment agreement, this only extended to the 'Employed' workers, not those 'In-Training'. Such was the case of Sasha Blouse. Once more, if that was it, they would've argued vehemently to this treatment. Again, it wasn't such a case.

Moving around in the room they were in, and from where they could see, were 'walking towers'. Big as Titans those things were, and yet instead of flesh, they were metal. Instead of legs, they rolled on wheels. Their heads were like thin boxes, instead of the human shape. Their hands were like pincers instead of fingers. It was a large enough dissonance from what they usually associate with large things, and it helped that they were helping, as by bringing materials like wood planks their size and cooking along with their boss in the other room would definitely give the people that used to call the Walls home.

All of their construction efforts in the shop to make it accessible for their size was ahead of schedule, and the food surplus they had already gotten was where they could stop rationing their meals. She was practically doing hundreds of people's jobs while still being in one place. And all of that was thanks to their missing recruit's legs.

And without a word of complaint, too. Now, if they could clean too, they would be perfect.

Logan's words then cut through his musing like a clap of thunder, bringing his attention back to the skyward view.

["Do you know what you did wrong, missy?"] Their giant asked with a pointed finger.

"It was-hah! Because I ate your sandwich!" Their recruit shouted back.

["That's one reason! What is it that you people normally do when you see something that you don't recognize?"]

"We leave it alone!" She answered back.

["Why?!"] They clarified.

"I don't know!" The girl's voice fails her, as she glances up fearfully to the very stern face looking down at them.

["Let me simplify it for you: What shouldn't you do when something falls on the ground?"]

"Don't eat it!" She cried.

["What shouldn't you do with something that you don't recognize as food?!"]

"Don't eat it!"

["I will ask you again: What do you do when you see something you don't recognize?!"]

"We! Leave it! Alone!"

["So if I am in some place I don't recognize, should I eat the things around me even when I don't know what they are?"]

"No!"

["Why wouldn't I?"]

"Because you don't know!"

["Exactly!"] The giant rises up, his arms spread like an eagle. ["You don't know! That reason two!"]

He gestured with his arm, pointing in no specific direction. ["What do you think will happen when you go to a world that is completely different from the one you're used to? Worse, what about the one you live on?"]

["Stop, look and listen up to me."] He then pointed to himself.

"What about these things?! What happens if I stop?" The recruit gestured to the giant tower behind her.

["It's an experiment. But due to its battery and the enchantments I placed upon it: With just one minute of pedaling, you can store up a day's worth of energy in those things."]

"O-Okay…" Her legs slowed to a pause, she let them gently to the floor where she could be seen massaging them.

["Your world is what we call a 'Earth: Template'. It's the only condition where humans can be found. In what we call the 'Universe', there is assuredly an 'Earth'. What do you think happens when a human is in a world, not called Earth?"]

["I'll give you the answer. Sickness, and then to pain, and then death. All of it can be a number of factors: That there's no oxygen, the atmosphere is wrong and the sun's rays burns your skins…"]

["Or that nothing on that planet is safe for consumption which is a nightmare for a big eater like you."]

["Do you get what I am saying?"] He eased in closer.

Their recruit nodded solemnly, making their boss's face fall from its previous height.

In an act of tenderness that Levi couldn't find himself performing in public, their giant rubbed a finger on top of the girl's head. ["Come on, let's grab something for you to eat."]

Their boss laid out their hand to allow the young girl to climb atop of. "You're not upset that I ate your sandwich?" The girl just had to ask.

["Of course I'm upset."] The giant retorted with a pointed look. ["But I don't think I'm not heartless enough to starve you. Just ask next time."]

They all watched as they walked off from the edge of where they could see them. And from there-

["Good morning, everyone."]

-And from right behind them appeared their giant figure, a door that wasn't there was now occupying a space that was originally a wall.

Their giant friend walked in, minding where he stepped as he crouched down, lowering his hand to the floor. Stepping off from his palm was the missing recruit, as she was unveiled, so too did all the stares she received.

Logan raised himself as he looked over the class. ["What you just watched was something that had happened yesterday, as your superiors would've no doubt of told you about your missing cadet."]

["What's the lesson about that being about?"] He asked.

Levi recognizes the tone, the ones that are used within kid schools. A couple of hands shot up, making their giant's eyes dart around. He then settled on one. ["You, the blonde one. What's your name?"]

Levi quickly identified him as the young boy shouted his name. "I'm Armin Arlert, sir!"

["Mister Arlert, What's your answer?"]

"Beware of Outside threats!" Armin answered, making the giant nod.

["What you describe comes in more fancier tags. Alien, Xeno, but all just mean the same thing; Foreign dangers. And why is that? Someone different answer."]

"Because those worlds could mean certain death?" Another cadet spoke, making their boss nod again.

["Great response! Who was that?"] Logan looked around.

"That'll be me, sir!" Another boy raised his hand. "My name is Marco!"

["I'm glad to meet you, Marco! And while I appreciate the initiative, please wait to be called upon. Otherwise I will ignore you. I already have a hard enough time trying to hear with your small mouths."]

"Understood, sir!"

["Now give me another answer, Marco."]

"Because they're hostile worlds."

Their giant smiled, as their eyes glinted. ["How hostile are we talking about here, Marco?"]

"Huh?" The young boy was suddenly taken back. "Uh… Because it'll easily kill us?"

["Hmm…"] He heard Logan hum before shaking his head. ["A bit too broad of an answer there, and too specific for your people here, Marco. Who else?"]

"Oh! How about me!?" A familiar loud screech grated Levi's ears which made him groan. His gaze wandered until he found Hange bouncing over to their spot.

Their giant greeted her with a nod. ["Section-Commander Zoe. The question we're on right now is that of worlds we will appear on."]

["Why is it that we need to… 'Be aware of outside threats - Because those worlds could mean certain death'?"] Their boss asked, and Levi could see how fast the crazy woman's brain was going. ["Take your time to answer, for this is a tough-"]

"-Is it that they all have different levels of danger?" Hange interrupted.

Logan sighed. ["...I'll pull you away from your toys if you interrupt me again."] He threatened.

Hange, the devil, laughed. "Got it!"

Logan looked back over to the other kids. ["How do you think of your officer's answer?"]

Levi heard the young recruits call out their opinions, a great among them being affirmatives.

["She is right…"] And like that, Hange beamed.

["But it's not the correct answer."] Logan clarified, replacing the smile on Hange's face with that of dumbfoundedness and shock.

"How was I wrong?! I spent time reading through your books on traveling the galaxy and universe! I know about what you call 'Deathworlds'!"

["It is simple biology."] The giant spoke. ["This probably never happened because you were all holed up in your Walls. But even the scale on astronomical values is still large for people like you and me. The Earth is still a big celestial object, It would take trillions of you to just cover it's surface."]

["But no, I am even talking about something smaller. Astronomically smaller than you guys even."]

["They're classified as 'microorganisms'. Think like dirt or dust, but even smaller specks-"]

"-We know what germs are." He spoke.

["...Right, Mister Levi… I suppose due to your heights still that I was subconsciously treating all of you like kids when some of you are adults."]

"We don't really have all day to go into a deeper in-depth lecture, Sir. You did mention you have something to show the Commanders."

No one could argue with facts. He watched the squinted eyes and smile recede back into his normal human face, and he looked to be pondering. ["...Well, you're right about that."]

["Very well."] Their giant boss took a breath. ["I shall skip ahead to more important subjects."]

Levi nodded his head along as well, only silently lamenting his shattered tea-set.

He gestured back to the skyward view. ["Let's bring your attention back to the things you no doubt saw in the video."]

The Skyward view then becomes more distinct, more defined in shapes and colors rather than just a blissful blue sky. ["'Robots' are what they're generally called. Either autonomous or remote controlled, they're something you don't really need to put your hands on to steer. Since my previous solutions received some complications, we've been working on these things to help you out, as you've no doubt remembered."]

["Those are of my design, but the one's I'm trying to make are aimed to be operable and ridden from the inside. For that, we recreated something special."]

"We?" Hange spoke as Logan knocked on the door he entered from.

Pulling it open led to a peculiar sight. Appearing before them was definitely something only dreamt of in a perhaps drunkard's dream.

It was taller than the robots, perhaps reaching leg height of Logan, making it about as big as a child to them. It was wide, pudgy in appearance but wrapped around its belly was a belt with a pouch that was as huge as a house. It was bipedal, but instead of regular arms and legs, they were replaced with a prosthesis called 'Pegs', and flappy arms; adding to the fact was that there were small wings embedded to the back - especially the beak. Possibly the only thing that belonged on its face were the eyes, and to Levi, they were dopey as hell. In hindsight, it looked like some kind of bird that just had medical treatment done on it.

What was even more surprising was the one that was bringing the thing inside. They looked the same as them, or rather, the same as Logan. But unlike Logan, they seemed to have a glow around them, a type of radiance not unlike those used to refer to divine authorities. That glow had some kind of calming-effect in their atmosphere, making Levi almost get over his ruined teacup set. And that is before not taking into account their features.

The easiest tell was that they were a girl, given the long shiny black hair they had. Very long in fact that they reached down to her legs, that not all of her hair could be tied into a ponytail, which was tied at the tips near her waist instead of their head. Another lock of hair at the side of her head was twisted into a braid before that too was tied up. The clothes she wore looked like a mix between a suit and some kind of ceremonial dress like robes. A blue robe over white thin suit that had a red ribbon tied around their neck like a bow, same as the hair ties. And when she finally placed the thing down, they could see her face. Fair-milky skin color, singular red studs on the lobes of her ears, none-if remarkably little-of any makeup, and bright green eyes.

They had partaken to say Logan was a giant, but now meeting this person after him, she was a giantess.

At that moment, he couldn't tell if it was because of their small stature, or because that's how heavy the thing she carried was. For when she set the thing down that it made the ground rumble like an earthquake; shaking many things on their level such as the tables and chairs with their desks for the cadets.

He could only guess simply that the larger a thing is, the more strength they could output. Letting that lady who was much thinner than Logan carry that gargantuan thing.

"Hup!" Her voice, despite how huge she was in comparison to them, was soft too. "It's finished~!"

["Allow me to introduce you to a good associate of mine. Her name is Felicia Yggdrasil, she's important business."]

"Hi everyone! I'm happy to meet you all!" She waved happily.

["As you no doubt have seen what she brought in, this is what we'll be using for you guys."]

"Ooh~ What is it exactly?!"

Levi's eyes glanced up from where he sat. "Hey, Four-Eyes! Get down from there you moron!"

Hange's voice turned creepy as she was hugging the giant face on the giant face of the thing they brought in.

"Please do not drool on the Mecha, please and thank you." It said a lot when he didn't react seeing a giant hand pluck the woman off from atop the things by the neck of her shirt. On the contrary, there was an empty seat across the table from him that she was dropped off in.

["In regards to what was brought in, this is what I meant. I don't know how any of this works, so I'm just let her do the talking."]

"Pssh!" She made a scoff while waving her hand in a noncommittal gesture. "No need for complicated explanations since I made it simple: It's super easy. I've no doubt all of you will get it in no time at all! Since this really is like living in your own body."

"The legs would work the same as your own despite their shape, with the only learning curve being the wings for arms and hands. They're equipped with gravitic manipulators that can easily copy the actions of grabbing and turning things, if not better than actual fingers. Except for yourself, you don't need to let these things defecate."

"However, like any old good machinery, these do require fuel. Acquiring that fuel is as easy as consuming snacks, with lunch and dinner being the biggest source of energy. All of which can be held in this pouch attached, which can hold things endlessly."

"Of course, I do have to show you how to enter which is here."

She had been gesturing to all of the places she had been talking about before turning the entire thing around to show them. It caught just about everyone off guard when the thing's back emitted steam before opening, showing them the strange compartment that looked bigger on the inside than the entrance suggested. From the opening, what looked like metal spewed out, bending and connecting to each other before forming what was a staircase up. A convenience for civilian workers that didn't want or wouldn't like to train in the ODM-Gears they had.

"I would like everyone to give a round of applause for the cadet, Sasha Blouse, for assisting me in helping create this magnificent work. Without her frame of reference to work from, I doubt I might've gotten as close to finishing today than I might've."

He saw the cadets being enraptured rather easily, going along as they clapped their hands along with the giantess, easily making the mentioned girl blush in embarrassment.

As the applause was finishing up, he saw Armin raise his hand, interrupting the giantess from continuing on. This made him be called upon. "I have a question: why did you design it to look like a Penguin?"

Logan looked over to Armin, thankfully with a curious look, and back at what was called a 'Mecha' to their knowledge with a more raised eyebrow. ["You made it into a bird?"]

"For your information, they modeled after Prinnies" A questioning look made her shrug her shoulders. "I like penguins, I can't think of another that's harmless in their environment."

She smiled brightly at Logan. "Plus it fits with the whole thing you're going for with the sign outside."

The amused expression turned into one of alarm on their boss's face. ["Wait, a sign?"]

Storming to the window, Levi couldn't see what it was that made Logan freeze to a stop. Whatever happened, they all flinched as the hand they had curled inwards, making his nails scratched the window plains and emitting a screeching noise.

Unplugging her ears, Felicia looked towards the giant. "Logan, what's-?"

Only to be interrupted by a massive roar. They felt it more than they could actually hear it. The fast whiplash was similar to the force of air whenever he flew on his Maneuver Gear, if only more solid and perhaps dangerous.

The air was cold, and the noise was still, like the freezing of winter. A flash freeze suddenly became warm as their giant boss slammed the window shut and covered the window's blinds in its inverse direction, preventing any sight from their elevation.

The giantess, their boss's associate, 'climbed' their way towards Logan, placing a struggling hand upon his shoulders. The act made their head snap back to look at her, and whatever they felt in the room immediately went away.

His quick glance looked over the class, in that his hidden relief that they hadn't passed out by the pressure obviously being exuded by their giant boss.

Levi watched their boss quickly take out a pocket watch, seeming to let out a sigh for reasons unknown to him before pocketing it away and turning to them and the class. ["So your guy's lunch period will start soon, I'll be getting to that."]

["Keep an eye over them, keep the blinds closed - Do NOT look out there."] His boss muttered with all seriousness when he patted his lady friend's shoulder. Swiftly storming out, with the sounds of multiple doors being rushed open and closed forcefully.

"Damn it, Xer."

It wasn't a bird.

Or rather, it 'looked' like a bird, but the farthest thing a bird anyone would believe it to be. With a bit of effort, the sign got changed to something more appropriate before anyone could recognize what it was to open up a window to space. If recognized, the thing would be akin to an invisible giant mouth.

Something he definitely didn't want any of his employees to know about considering the world they came from.

Thankfully, if Felicia didn't notice it, then no one but Logan himself would realize what was on there beforehand. Such was the extent of his dark knowledge to where he had to do it himself, not only on the physical building but their online website too.

He taken to remind Xer that using the non-euclidean symbols of the Eldritch Language fucks over the minds of the mundane, no matter the medium.

The weeks passed, having only seven days left for him when he began teaching the Wall People that wore their 'Prinny-Suits'. Though described as a 'Mecha' by Felicia, its controls were a lot more like a Jeager in a world faced by other gigantic organic monsters. How they manage to pilot them despite not looking like a regular human being is beyond his knowledge, he just chalks it up in that Felicia has a superpower that allows her to teach the tutorial better.

On his end, there really wasn't a lot for him to teach. The cafe can be taken care of by those who worked in the Inns and pubs with the kitchens being stocked with Chefs, the blacksmiths knew their trade in the smithy along with the engineers, the pharmacy turned into something like a laboratory with how many people there were in there experimenting. Hell, his usual storefront of a shop could be handled with the basics and be manned by those who worked in flower shops. All with stockers. With all that information in mind, Logan at first was stunned, not knowing how to react that basically all the posts he had been manning for a lifetime have managed to be filled.

Don't be mistaken to think that Xer's Shop only had him. In the grand scheme of hoping through worlds, there were plenty others who had signed up, but never more than one. And not many lasted the long hours as Logan did, with many of the factors such as being so lonely or wanting to escape their worlds. Those could still happen, but there were a few other factors that prevented them from happening this time. Their fellow employees' underlying stature being one, the world was not nice for a people so tiny.

With how busy he was preparing them, he didn't realize the windfall he had attained. It was only when he was having breakfast that did he realize, since the day after training was his day off, he unexpectedly had twenty four hours all to himself. He wondered how he should spend that day?

With such thoughts however-

["As a consultation for my past mistake - Congratulations Logan, you've been promoted! You're my new Director!"] His own boss cheered as he held a letter in front of him.

-Became opportunities for fate to throw a wrench into their plan.

If it were any other day, he was sure he would've been the most joyous. But the height of happiness which he hadn't felt that hadn't been surpassed in ten years had taken a sudden nosedive. Not that he thought that his boss was bad, but his way of help doesn't exactly fit his zone of comfort.

As such, he's the usual broom and dustpan for those situations when they prop up.

The mask's eyes had been shut, yet when they opened, they could easily see the weariness appearing on the man's face. ["Logan? Are you alright, Ol'Chum?"]

"Yeah, I am." He nodded. Despite his unhappiness, the man was still his boss that was paying for his apartment. Plus, he knew him well enough to know that he hadn't meant anything by it.

Such careless mistakes could easily kill other people though, he would have to reprimand him on another day.

"It's my day off today." Logan informed him.

If their mask had any eyebrows, they would no doubt have risen. ["Ah, right! It's the weekend for you here. What're you doing?"]

"Well, we've been playing Smash for the past hour." Logan replied, scratching the back of his neck.

["Oh! You're Smashing?'] Xer's mask beamed… Before falling to a confused expression. ["Wait… who's 'We'?"]

{'Game!'}

Anything that Logan was about to say was replaced by a groan as another individual walked up from behind Logan. The door was further widened when they arrived.

"Yeah, after you died, they tag-teamed my ass. We're out of the tournament." Felicia spoke before any of the two could respond, her eyes on the handheld console in her hands. The halt of the conversation made the girl recognize the new arrival. "Oh, heya boss-man!"

Logan glanced back at Xer, and despite how blank the mask they wore was, he could feel the gaze of how smug the man was giving him behind those eyes. He could feel it.

["Oh! Hello Ms. Felicia, I'm glad to see you that you are hale and hearty."] Xer greeted her with a professional nod. ["I hope the facilities here have taking care of your every needs."]

"Everything's great! I've been enjoying my time here with the kids."

["You must be talking about the staff's family."] Xer guessed. ["I haven't interacted with them personally, but if you said so, then they must be alright."]

"Are you gonna be staying here for a while boss?" Logan asked as he began moving to the mini-fridge within the room.

Xer shook his head. ["No, unfortunately. It seems creating a company the size of a mega extradimensional corporation entailed many things, much of which is paperwork, who would've thought?"]

"I hope you can get the best coffee you can." Felicia prayed.

["Not my preferred drink, but I appreciate it the gesture."]

"So why does my new position entail?" Logan asked the Plague Doctor, after bringing back a couple of cans with him and holding them out to the two. "Cherry, grape?"

["Same as before. I'm still having you be the 'Frontier', but you now have people with you. I'm already assuming you've gotten everything sorted of when you sent me the papers."]

"Yeah, the people here already had a chain of command. They just merely had me at the top since you're not basically here."

The Plague Doctor nodded, before looking at the girl. ["Hey Felicia, wanna work under me?"]

"Sorry, I'm still under contract with N's." She smiled apologetically.

The red-eyed mask shrugged. ["Eh, worth a try."]

["When you leave, and if I am not here, I wish the best on your gauntlet run. I know Logan here worries-"] Xer elbowed the man, and he spat up his drink. ["-about you a lot, and would be devastated to see you go."]

"I'm-I am not, Not, worried." Logan said through coughs. "I have FULL faith in Felicia in overcoming her tribulations."

Her arms brought the tablet closer to her as a smile appeared. "That's very sweet for the two of you to say."

"Neither of you have to worry so much. The gauntlets are tough, yes, but I've grown used to their hardships." She said with a confident smile.

["Our doors are open for you any time, Miss."] Logan nodded in agreement.

Felicia gasped. "Oh, speaking of! We should've invited you inside instead of talking at the door!"

["Bah! It's fine."] The Plague Doctor waved it off. ["Don't want to intrude too much on Logan's day off, especially on one with you. This is just one break I have before dealing with my screaming matches."]

["You'll take care of her, won't you, boy?"] Xer said as he slapped a hand against Logan's shoulders.

This made Logan sigh. "Yes, I will. I have been doing so."

["Right!"] With a snap, a bubble of shadow and darkness was made beside the Plague Doctor. ["Carry on, you two."]

Xer was gone in the next moment, stepping into the pillar which sunk back into the ground, leaving not a trace left that he was there, but the letter held in Logan's hands.

Felicia looked back at Logan with a tilt of her head. "Screaming matches?"

"More like a clean up." He clarified. "My boss took over everything from his predecessor. So…"

Felicia raised her hand. "Say no more. Come on, I want you to help me unlock a new character." She said before pulling his sleeve, and shutting the door.

The day after tomorrow came rather quick for Logan. After seeing Felicia off, it became a new day at work. But before she left, she did leave something of a gift for him. There were three items. Glasses, a book, and a ring. After figuring out what they were, he placed them on, and as he did, he felt warmth radiating around him.

"Well…" He chuckled with a smile as he looked around. "This is the first time I might say…"

"Boss, where are we heading to, dood?"

Logan flinched as he heard the voice, before sighing.

The voice catches his attention as he looks back to see the sea of face-forward blank penguin faces looking at him. The greatest issue of solving their… 'stature' with big robot suits carried the drawback of not immediately recognizing who said person was unless they spoke. Thus, they have been tasked with painting onto their 'Prinny-Suits'. He was still getting used to recognizing who was who with their 'drawings', which turned out to be cosmetic designs that were built upon their persons, but they were also pinned with a name-tag on their chest for easier identification.

Especially with their recent modifications. Majorly, the two of which their models have undergone. The first of which, as everyone no doubt had just heard, was their figure of speech. It was only hours after Felicia had left before they discovered an error in their voice-boxes which always ended their sentences with 'dood'. He tried to fix it; Try as he might, his current level of understanding robotics plus the magical formula of programming was beyond him. Which is where he made the mistake of exasperating a mild problem. Now every sentence that came out of their voice boxes ended with 'dood'.

He found out too late when he found a left behind note beside his gaming consoles. The 'error' turned out to be an intentional prank by Felicia, who added it in on the day she left. He decided until the girl comes back that he was gonna leave the things as is before he breaks them even more.

Despite the prank, and it wasn't all that bad, considering how else she had helped around the place. Which was their major upgrade number two. Since they met, Felicia and Hange had gotten along very well, with how smart Hange was, and how knowledge Felicia is, which made the next 'Prinny-Models'. Their 'Prinny-Suits' now had a personal-piece of the Wall-People's homegrown technology of their ODM-Gears. Designated as 'Combat-Prinnies', they turned out to be just as versatile as they had been when they were small, if not stronger.

It was all the military of the Wall People were using instead of the regular 'Prinny-Suits' which was the normal 'Civilian' model of tech.

"Everybody knows the jobs they were assigned with?"

'Is this everyone I met before?' There were rows of them, big enough to say they were a company of about two-hundred people. Despite that however, their name-tags were all familiar. They were people who he had interacted with in their world.

'There the trio of Erwin, Hange, and even Levi. And those under them have their own squads of people…'

The tablet within his grip buzzed, and blinked with a message. 'Huh? That's new.'

"We're guards, aren't we boss-dood? Are you telling us we are not?" Erwin asked for the rest.

'That's gonna get annoying quick.'

"No, that's basically right." Logan replied as he took his eyes off the tablet he had. "It's just that whatever detailed plan you have for a patrol, you might as well scrap it."

Logan raised his voice. "We got a change of plans, people! We're heading to a new place that is way beyond what any of you has ever experienced! Has anyone here been curious of what it would be like to explore space? …We all know that you have Hange, you can put your hand down."

"Aww dood." Was spoken by said woman of science.

"Space dood?" Was one spoken by a member of Levi's squad.

Logan raised a finger. "You'll see in a moment."

Using that same finger, he tapped down on the tablet in his hand. Outside of the window, the view changed from what was a meadow, to a pitch void which then resembled something like a box of steel.

Leading the way, the door to the outside was reminiscent of an indoor mall. There were a lot of 'stations', or rather stores, that filled all of the walls. Connecting all of them were intersecting plazas in either three or four ways. The space between each wall was empty, allowing one to see the levels above and below them in a scenic view which were also walled with glass railings that were half his height.

Those empty passes were connected with bridges that arched above and below, and each level was capable of ascent and descent with their stairwell of escalators and elevators. Large attractions; one of such spots looked to be a kid's playground (the biggest he'd seen that an Indoor-Mall could have), the latest model of a vehicle like jeeps and cars.

There were spots that also allowed smaller or more independent businesses to be situated, like antique watches, souvenirs like hats and hoodies, or even food stalls: Especially the food stalls, can't forget about the Food Court either. Having places to have refreshing drinks and hot food were a must in these places, if one was to enjoy their time here.

But the most eye-catching that held the group's attention was something revealed to them beyond their 'roof'.

Above their head was a green and blue earth-like planet.

"Welcome to space, your next frontier." Logan informed them. "Not many get to space, you see. We're on a space-ship that'll allow us to travel through its vast expanse. Depending on the universe we are in, it is either dangerous, or more dangerous than the world we left."

"Then, which one is it?"

Logan smiled. "That's the fun part, we find out. To the bridge!"

"Logan-Dood, what's this do?" Spoken Hange-Prinny as she was glued to the console at the center of the bridge.

"Don't touch anything Four-Eyes-Dood!" Which obviously came from Levi-Prinny.

"Hange-Dood, focus." Erwin-Prinny ordered which made Hange stern up.

Logan spared a moment to answer. "That's the bridge's terminal which shows the vessel's status. The other terminals with screens have more specific information on them that you can use to report up to the captain of the ship, which is currently me."

In hindsight, space travel might not have been the best setting for a group that was only used to Industrial-Age technology. While he wasn't alone, they wouldn't be able to do anything until he taught them.

So how does he himself know how to pilot a starship? He doesn't, which is why he's reading up on the manual now. Regrettably, he switched the glasses from Felicia's to the one which supercharges his comprehension, the same one he used to work on how to make robots.

An hour later, using the ship's warp-drive, they were on their way to the nearby solar system.

As he was focusing on the book, he could see in the corner of his vision of Hange waddling up to the captain's chair. "Do we have any idea where we are, Sir-Dood?"

"If you're mentioning what universe we're in, not a clue." Logan shook his head. "I come in here with only a handbook of general information of this world's settings. Beyond what I am provided to fit in, I basically have nothing."

"I think my boss does this so I don't get bored on every 'opportunity' that we come across." He extrapolated.

"So, Logan-dood, how much longer do we have to wait."

"Eh, to complete the read? About five to ten more minute-ish." Logan calculated. "But boss said to hit the big red button, and we should be good to go-"

Click!*

Logan's eyes rose from the booklet and starred as the overstretched penguin flipper arm that slammed upon said device. On the screen before them, began a countdown starting from the nearest double-digit as a voice announced throughout the ship.

"Brace for Warp-Jump in ten… Nine… Eight…"*

Logan looked at the perpetrator. "Hange, why?!"

The prinny in question looked flustered. "No! No, it wasn't me-Dood! I swear!"

"Is a 'Warp-Jump' dangerous, dood?" Erwin-Prinny asked.

Logan shook his head. "No, with Xer's power, any special methods of travel can do no harm."

"Four… Three…"*

"However, the 'destination' doesn't mean it is safe."

"Two… One..."*

Speed, force and inertia - the vessel shook as a field surrounding the ship, and the fabric of reality was broken in a miniscule point that drew them in, catapulting them into speeds faster than light. The nearly pitch-black view of the outside quickly became a fast trail of lights.

Some Time Later…*

"Sir, we're picking up a ship just on the edge of our sensors, and it's big. IFF comes off as UED, they don't appear to be a derelict."

The man who sent in the report was a relatively well-dressed man in naval officer's attire, adorned with flair and medals of victories and success long past. His hair was short, similar to a buzz-cut, but not too much to say he was bald. He was good looking, both logical and reasonable.

The one he was answering to can only be described as a roguish-looking man, but to many and those that get to know him, he was so much more than his choice of clothes allow him to appear. A vest, with the short sleeves of his shirt rolled up and sporting a cigarette box held in one of them. Upon his jeans was a holster holding what was known as a revolver; more specifically, a 'Single-Action Colt Revolver' that would be known by any antique-gun enthusiast.

"UED? What kind of people like them doing out here?" Another man, a part of the crew in armor, was asking. He was unquestionably larger than anyone else on the bridge, but it is unknown if that was due to the power-armor suit he had on. He held only one trait with the former, with that being a scar they had on their face.

"That's what I also want to know." The man in charge looked back towards the officier. "Matt, send a transmission. Let's take a look at the kind of people we're dealing with."

Projected from the CIC's starmap, a hologram began recording another's feed, and it soon revealed Logan with his command seat occupying much of the transmission's background.

"Greetings, Fair-Travellers!" Logan greeted them with a smile. "You can call me Logan, and I seem to be having trouble with navigation: I don't know where I've ended up."

"Nice to meet you as well, Logan. You can call me Raynor." The man introduced himself. "You've got a mighty impressive vessel you have there. What's a boy like you doing all the way in the Koprulu Sector?"

"I'm part of a merchant enterprise. Anything you can think of, we can acquire or have the next best thing. My vessels also come with a lot of recreational value. Games and movies of digital and virtual reality. A casino, gymnasium, swimming pools, artificial tropical beaches, organic foods, you name it." Promoted Logan.

"I can see that your vessel is more suited for warfare and that's it's a bit beaten up. We can also refurbish it as well if you like."

"If you can do all that, what's the cost gonna be like?" The first one spoke.

"Excluding trade, nothing too much." Logan shook his head. "In our enterprise, first time shoppers get free for whatever they took. The same is here: We do trial runs for first timers that lets them see if they enjoy our services. Everything after that comes with a charge. We do offer an annual membership, so they can pay for that instead of the regular entrance fee. The only thing we ask is that all visitors leave their grievances at the door."

This made Raynor intrigued. "A safe space where we can rest ourselves? I can see the benefit in that, and I'm sure my boys will love it."

"Speaking of which, I have a proposition if you'd like to hear it?" Logan interjected.

"A deal?" Raynor said with a raised eyebrow.

"More like a contract." Logan told him. "I'm sure you are all familiar with how UED's expedition here has gone, with your people taking none too kindly for it. I'm a little afraid of heading anywhere here lest I be beset with the wrath of your local governments."

"So what set you out here in the first place?" The large man spoke.

"Every frontier is a land of opportunity, whether that be a place for new undiscovered resources or just providing what others do but better or can't. Our corporation isn't only just looking for gold." Logan answered. "If you allow us to tag along, our facilities, resources such as materials and information, and services will be granted to you."

"What's the catch?" Raynor asked.

"The only stipulation will be that barring defending ourselves against a malevolent threat, you fight your own fights. My people are contracted to defend this vessel and everyone inside, not wage a war."

"Are you sure, Logan?" Raynor questioned them for their sakes. "The places where we're going are hot-zones. It can be more dangerous than you imagine."

"We'll be where you want us, out of the action, but close enough for you people to retreat to. I also don't believe a commander of men like you is brutal enough to drag innocents into the crossfire."

"And what happens if we do?" The armored man asks, coldly.

"Then our attackers will be handled with extreme prejudice, and you will compensate us for any damage or losses sustained with extra charges on your visits." Logan stated, speaking before anyone else could put in a word.

The young man gives off an unnerving dark chuckle. "This vessel's original purpose was a multi-purpose dreadnought before we made it into a resort place. I'm quite tempted to see how it performs."

Ignoring the last sentence, Raynor turned to the last unnamed individual. "What do you think Matt? A safe place for us to lick our wounds and rest?"

The officer dressed man thought it over. "It's a very good deal, all things considered. If we get them up to speed on local politics, they may possibly be the best benefactors we could hope for. With their help, we probably won't have to fear going so far to retrieve supplies for the Hyperion."

"It looks like you got yourself a deal, Logan." Raynor spoke.

"Much obliged mister Raynor." Logan bowed his head. "Let us know when you're coming aboard or charting a new heading, we'll follow along."

Ever since arriving in an entirely different world, the prospect of space was a thing they could scarcely comprehend.

Now that they were travelling through its mighty void, their minds were in a frenzy as they looked outside of the viewport, and saw what was known as a Behemoth-Class Battlecruiser within their sight. Just as soon as they arrived, they saw the outside perspective of when their vessel moves in the speed category known as 'FTL'.

The vessel stretches like the dough of bread, flexible until the rear shoots forward to its original size and disappears, as if flung from a cannon. All of it happening in under a second.

Their boss, Logan, his gaze shifted towards them. "Erwin, Levi, Hange. Remind your people to tell no one that you guys inside are small on the inside. Have them believe you're of a different race entirely. Discovering as you are right now will break the rule of immersion."

"The rule of immersion, Logan sir-dood?" Erwin-Prinny questioned.

"It's one of my boss's rules. The rule of immersion is to not break the local universe's public worldview with 'Outside-Of-Context' problems and solutions." Logan clarified to them. "They don't have people only inches in height. If enough people know about those, then I'll receive a penalty, as well as the thing being erased to fix the 'Immersion'."

"Hold on, dood." Levi-Prinny interrupted. "If you-dood, did something similar with those fences back in our world, how come you didn't get a penalty for that?"

"My guesses are that it wouldn't have mattered since your people were already facing extinction, or that it already existed beforehand. The difference however is that electric fences exist here already, the size of your people do not… Or maybe because you believed I was a talking Titan in your world, that I could do magical things."

"You mean we will need to keep up a facade, otherwise bad things will happen to us-dood. Right-dood?"

"In short, yes." Logan cracks his neck, refocusing and getting his mind straight.

"Have the civil-workers, shopkeepers, and chefs prepare their places." Logan ushered them with the waves of his hands. "I don't know how long they'll be gone, but I want it as if they're arriving here tomorrow."

"As for me, I need to figure out how to work this place." Logan then placed his glasses back on as he took out the booklet he was reading before.

"Boss-dood." Hange-Prinny spoke. "Do you really think people like them will keep coming to this place?"

"We just have to hope they do." Logan shrugged his shoulders. "But if what they're eating is anything like your rations, then I am sure some good food and spirits will do wonders for their mood."

"So don't sweat it, and just keep the security detail as best as possible. Just because the first trial is free, doesn't mean they can take everything not nailed to the floor."

The three of them nodded, as they performed their signature salute before rushing out of the bridge. As soon as they were out, Logan took off his glasses while leaning back into his seat with a sigh and a tired frown.

"Space, and with an absurdly large ship that can practically rival a fleet…? I can already feel the power of threats that I am about to face." He said half-heartedly.

"Xer… Why do you bring me to these places?"
