Chaos Crisis (Part 2)

(KC Undercover Theme Song)

(Ayla's POV)

Supergirl (she told me her real name was Kara) & I were flying over the Emerald Ocean, looking for a Chaos Emerald, when Flash called us on our comn-links*

Flash*off-screen* Ugh . . . Flash to Justice League . . . Darkseid had one of the Chaos Emeralds. Sonic wasn't fast enough to stop him . . .

Sonic*off-screen* Hey!

Superman*off-screen* Superman here. Knuckles and I haven't found anything yet.

Wonder Woman*off-screen* This is Wonder Woman. Nothing so far. Amy is taking a second to recharge her vehicle and network with others to help us search.

Batman*off-screen* Batman here. Still searching with Shadow.

Green Lantern*off-screen* Green Lantern, checking in with Silver. Nothing on our end.

Cyborg*off-screen* Cyborg here, and I'm with Tails. We've almost got a tracker online. Hang tight.

Supergirl: This is Supergirl. Ayla and I haven't found anything yet, but we'll keep you all posted.

I suddenly felt another pain in my chest*

Ayla*in her mind* I really should get this looked at once this is over.

We both kept flying over the ocean. I tried to focus my sense to pinpoint an Emerald's location. But, for some reason, I couldn't feel anything, which was kinda nerve-wracking. Just then, Cyborg called us again on the comn-links*

Cyborg*off-screen* Heads up, League! I'm sending you the Emeralds closets to you!

Supergirl & Ayla: We're on our way! *we both pointed to each other* Jinx!

We both laughed*

Batman*off-screen* We have a plan of action, but what's our contingency? Darkseid already has mythic arcane power, and can gain. We may not be able to counter that.

Wonder Woman*off-screen* Batman's right. We need to plan for the worst even while hoping for the best. What are out options if things get dire.

Superman*off-screen* We'll find the other Emeralds and retrieve the one he stole. We won't fail this world.

Cyborg*off-screen* I have an emergency Boom Tube to the Watch Tower. If things so sideways, we have an immediate exit.

Green Lantern*off-screen* That's not enough to evacuate the planet. Can't we do something better than that?

Superman*off-screen* We'll rise to occasion like we always do. And if we need a little extra help, we can put faith in our new friends.

Kara & I smiled at each other when we heard that*

Narrator: The battle and hunt for the Chaos Emeralds ignites across the Globe!

Kara & I arrived in the skies above Knothole & the Great Forest*

Supergirl: So this is where you grew up? Kinda reminds me of my hometown, Smallville.

Ayla: Yeah. Besides the fact I was fighting for my life almost every day, it's a great place to grow up. *we landed on the ground* Now, let's look around and see if we can't -

Suddenly, a human woman who was half cheetah (look up "DC Villains Bio - Cheetah" by "LucianoVecchio" on "Deviantart") jumped out of the bushes, swiping her claws at us*

Cheetah: Well, well, well. If it isn't Superman's little pet and a cute little blue hedgehog.

Ayla: Who's the walking fuzz-ball?

Supergirl: Priscilla Rich Goes by Cheetah. A long time enemy of Wonder Woman. What are you doing here, Spot?

Cheetah: Lord Darkseid promised me even more power if I bring him that pretty little gemstone up there.

She pointed to a tree behind her. We looked up & saw the purple Chaos Emerald in a bird's nest. I immediately got out my Ring Blades*

Ayla: Not in this lifetime, Tuna Breath!

Kara & I attacked together. Her swiping at us with her claws, me with my Ring Blades & Kara with her strength & laser eyes. Then we both punched her in the face at the same time & she fell to the ground, unconscious. I flew up to the nest and picked up the Emerald. As I did, some of the pain in my chest went away & I felt like I could breath a little , everything started to shake & blue sparks appeared everywhere. Then we heard Batman on the comm-links*

Batman*off-screen* Batman to League. We're officially out of time. We need to shift focus to Darkseid. Now.

Superman*off-screen* I agree, but we'll need a way for us to reach the Ragna Rock. Tails? Do you have anything?

Tails*off-screen* Sorry, no. I don't think my fleet of planes can handle that kind of approach.

Sonic*off-screen* Hold that thought, gang. We might have a volunteer for a ride-share.

Ayla*in her mind* I'm . . . Dreading who that might be . . . But, at this point . . . What have we got to lose.

Kara & I flew to Ragna Rock, where everyone had already begun to fight the Parademons*

Wonder Woman: After we drive out Darkseid perhaps I'll stay to deal with Eggman.

Amy: I would love to see that!

Ayla: Save some for me and Kara while you're at it.

Supergirl: Yeah. I

Sonic: Yo, sis! You and Supergirl got an Emerald?

I held up my backpack*

Ayla: Safe in here.

Batman: Don't let that bag out of your sight.

I put my bag back on*

Ayla: Don't worry. It won't

Green Lantern: Entry point clear. Flash, Sonic, start your search.

The two speedsters split up to search. Supergirl & I joined them. Soon, Flash & I found Darkseid standing underneath a what looked like a giant engine*

Flash: Found the Emerald and Darkseid! Faster than Sonic could, I should add! Converge on my location!

Supergirl & Sonic caught up with us*

Sonic: You just got lucky I went the other way!

Flash: Cope, little man.

Ayla: Guys! Have the competition for later!

Darkseid turned to us*

Darkseid: I will give your world credit for one thing. You have tenacity.

He turned back to his machine & lasers came out of his eyes, actually turning towards us. Luckily, Superman blocked it before it hit us*

Superman: You both need to pick up the pace.

Flash: Truce?

Sonic: Truce.

Batman: Neutralize that device! Keep Darkseid occupied and retrieve the Emerald!

All 12 of us attacked Darks together, combining our powers & abilities together. Soon, Wonder Woman had him tied up with her lasso with Knuckles helping her to pull it tight*

Wonder Woman: Heave!

Shadow stood in front of Darkseid*

Shadow: You've struggled with this? Pathetic.

Batman: Don't underestimate me! Go!

Shadow brought out the red Chaos Emerald*

Shadow: Tch. Chaos Control!

He used his power, but nothing happened*

Ayla: What!? How did - !?

Darkseid: Father Box discovered much about your world. About "Chaos Control." That promise of power and control drew me here.

Shadow: Impossible.

Darkseid: To most mortals. But not you, for you are the "Ultimate Lifeform." And not to me. For Darkseid is.

He got free of the lasso & whipped it around hitting Shadow & throwing Wonder Woman into Superman while Knuckles went along for the ride*

Sonic: Looks like he's charged up the doohickey. You want to wreck it or grab the Emerald?

Flash: Emeralds are your thing. I can use the Speed Force to disrupt the Dimensional Whatisit.

I turned to Kara*

Ayla: You wanna join in?

Supergirl: Yep. You help your brother and I'll help Flash.

I went to help my brother get the Emerald from Darkseid while Kara went to help Flash. Sonic & I both tried to pry the Emerald from his hand, but it wouldn't budge*

Sonic: Nngh! For a Gas, you're really materialistic!

Ayla: Let go, will you!

His eyes started to glow

Darkseid: You both were beneath my notice before. You will not evade my Omega beams again, you -

Just then, Superman, Knuckles, & Amy all jumped on him to help us, causing his laser eyes to miss us. Supergirl & Flash attacked the Engine together while Silver & Green Lantern blocked lasers aimed at them*

Flash: Any insight into what we're looking for, Victor?

Supergirl: It's like we're grasping at smoke!

Cyborg: The Dimensional Energies are way out of sync. Darkseid was being sloppy crossing over. This Chaos-fueled engine isn't playing by any rules!

Suddenly, Darkseid blasted us all away with a burst of his own Chaos Energy*

Darkseid: ENOUGH!

The blast pushed Flash, Kara & Cyborg into the machine, as Flash begins to lower his arm into it; this causes him to accidentally activate something within the Engine, setting his arm ablaze as Cyborg flies him away with Kara next to him. Just then, the mouth on the engine started to open with his eyes glowing*

Cyborg: I'm ready spikes in chronons, gravitons, and tachyons! We're looking at total quantum collapse!

Tails: The Dimensional Engine is destabilizing! Time and space aren't going to be anything in a minute!

Shadow made a mad dash for his Chaos Emerald while Darkseid held up his hand to the energy*

Darkseid: I will bend it to my will!

Superman, Supergirl, & Wonder Woman jumped on him*

Superman: No! Don't let him regain control!

Wonder Woman: We have to hold the line here!

Batman: Lantern! The assets! Cyborg! The Boom Tube!

Suddenly, me, Sonic, Tails, Shadow, Amy, Knuckles, & Silver were trapped in a green bubble*

Amy: What are you doing!?

Batman: Putting our faith in you.

Cyborg's arm turned into a giant claw & opened a tunnel of light. The bubble went towards it.I turned to Kara*

Ayla: Kara!

Supergirl: Don't worry; we'll see each other again! I promise!

We all fell into the tunnel. Then, in a flash of light, we landed on a platform. Standing next to the platform was an African American man with a an African American man with a black T on his face & wearing black, white, & red clothes. Black balls with yellow Ts on it flew around him. As soon as the light died, all my pain went away. Like it wasn't never there*

Mister Terrific: What the . . . Who are you?

Sonic: Ugh . . . Sonic. Cyborg sends his regards . . .

Mister Terrific: Then you're from the world Darkseid was attacking. The League sent you through?

Tails: Reality was collapsing! They sent us through to protect us!

Amy: We have to reopen the Boom Tube and help them!

Mister Terrific: I . . . I can't. There's no dimensional coordinates to target. Your world is . . . Gone. Darkseid, the Justice League, and everything else is gone.

I covered my mouth in horror as I fell to my knees, thinking about all our friends back home*

Ayla*in her mind* No . . . Sally . . . Uncle Chuck . . . Chris . . . Cosmo . . . Kara . . . Everyone!

Note: I don't know if Cheetah will appear again in future issues. If she does appear, I'll find someone to take her place.
