Part 2:the Honeymoon phase
The stomach massage was definitely the right decision...the next morning Walt is the first one to wake up. He gently wakes Vic up with a kiss on her forehead, her eyes fluttering open and she gives Walt a soft smile.
Walt:good morning
Vic:good morning husband
Walt:Oh no! don't be that kind of wife
Vic:What do you mean?
Walt: the kind of wife that calls me husband Cady used to say that all the time when we would play house of course I was always her husband and it annoyed the living crap out of me so please call me Walt, babe, any other pet name but husband
Vic: Okay I'm sorry, I'm going to take a shower, do you want to join me?
Walt:uh... no thanks I think I'm going to order some room service for breakfast I'll take my shower after yours
Vic:suit yourself
Vic goes and takes her shower while Walt orders the newlyweds breakfast special just after it arrives Vic saunters out of the bathroom in just a towel. Walt can't help but stare
Vic:like what you see?
Walt clearly is not used to flirting
Walt:uh...it's definitely a bold clothing choice
Vic drops her arms in defeat
Vic:you're hopeless. Do I have to teach you how to flirt?
Walt raises his eyebrows
Walt:uh...maybe but for right now we'll just enjoy our honeymoon
with Cady and Emma back in Wyoming. they just arrived at Cady's favorite ice cream place when she was Emma's age
Cady:here we are
Emma:Yea! sissy,do you know what flavor I'm Gonna get?
Cady:I have no idea
Emma:coffee
Cady:ooh that sounds good I think I'll get the same
Cady gets herself out of her car then gets Emma out of her car seat. they make their way into the ice cream parlor
Ice cream scooper:hi welcome,what can i get for you two?
Cady: We will-
Emma: let me order
Cady: Alright go ahead
Emma:two coffee ice creams with the big waffle cones with caramel drizzle
Emma walks away proud of herself
Cady: Emma, aren't you forgetting something
She turns back around
Emma:oh and two spoons
Cady:Emma!
Emma:please and thank you
Cady:Sorry that sense of humor she gets from her mom...you remember Vic
the ice cream scooper nods her head
Ice cream scooper:oh so that's the 'little Vic' everyone is talking about I remember Vic perfectly
Emma:What's taking so long?
Cady:oh no I created a monster
Ice cream scooper:well here you are
Cady: Thank you
Back with Walt and Vic, sightseeing
Vic:oh my god it's the famous wall I've always wanted to see
Walt:What's so special about it?
Vic: believe or not Walt there are other stories than 'of mice and men' so if you ever heard of a little tale called ' Romeo and Juliet' this is where the wall comes in so many women and girls struggle with romance they can write a letter to Juliet and if you're Lucky you'll get An answer back I wanted to come here so bad when I got divorced from Sean
Vic looks at all the young teenagers tying their letters to the wall
Vic:well one thing I know I would make a rotten Juliet
Walt:Yes, But you're going to be an amazing Mrs Longmire
She turns and smiles at Walt as they move along. A month later it's time to go home Vic has gotten a lot bigger. And tomorrow is Emma's fourth birthday
Vic:ugh I am so happy to be going home
Walt:you're happy to go back to Wyoming?
Vic:look I know I hated it at first but it grew on me
Walt and Vic board the plane and make it back home at a very late hour. Cady said she wouldn't mind keeping Emma for one more night. The next morning Cady and Emma make it to the cabin. Emma runs right in
Emma:mommy,daddy i'm here
Walt and Vic come out of the bedroom hand in hand Emma runs right up to Walt he picks her up and gives her a big hug Vic shortly joins the hug they all pull away
Emma:I missed you so much
Vic:We missed you too. by the way babydoll
Walt and Vic:HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Emma:Thank you. What time is my party?
Walt:1:00,you've got three hours
Emma:uh...
Emma looks at Cady curiously
Cady:in other words three Sesame Streets
Emma:this is gonna take forever
Contrary to what Emma thought three hours went by very quickly it's now five minutes before the party and guests have started to arrive they include: Henry,Ruby,Travis,Cady,Ferg,and kids from Emma's new play group
Vic:welcome everybody presents go over on the table to your left and feel free to mingle until further notice
Cady walks over to Vic with a lady who's about The same age as Vic
Cady:Vic,this is-
Vic's eyes go wide
Vic:OMG! Nessa is that you?
Vanessa:Who else would it be Tori?
Cady:Okay,two questions...how do you two know each other and Tori?
Vic:Nessa and i have know each other since kindergarten and don't be so smug about Tori Nessa is the only one aloud to call me that
Cady:oh but Tori sounds so fun
Vic:Cady! please?
Cady: come on Vic we're friends aren't we
Vic: not like Nessa and I
Cady:Alright Well i'll let you two re-connect
Emma runs up to all three of them
Emma:hi i'm Emma and today i'm four
All the ladies laugh
Vanessa:well hello Emma my daughter is Nicole
Emma: Nicole is my bestest friend
Vic: like mother like daughter
Vanessa:isn't that true
A few hours later it's time for games and then presents and then cake
Emma: Nicole,will you be my partner for the three legged race?
Nicole:yay!
With vic, Vanessa, Cady ,and Walt
Walt:Emma is definitely your daughter Vic she's so outspoken and speaks her mind she never sugarcoats anything
Vic: well are you forgetting I have another one in here and she might just be the same or he
Walt:no but are you forgetting that baby is half mine and it might end up like me
Vic:oh Believe me I never forget that this baby is yours OK and I'm kind of hoping it does end up like you
Vanessa:tori, I have not seen you this happy since your boyfriend in our sophomore year of high school I'm really glad you found Walt after that whole fiasco with Sean
Vic: thanks Nessa I'm really glad I found Walt too if I hadn't who know where I'd Be today
Walt:I do have a question for Vic,Tori?
Vic and Vanessa:like father like daughter
Vic:But to answer your question Walt when I was little I used to hate the nickname Vic just because they resemble my dad's name and my brothers name so much and that's what everybody called my dad and brother I didn't wanna be compared to them so my mom and I came up with the nickname Tori I dropped Tori by the third grade and went by Vic for the rest of my life and I have known Nessa since kindergarten so she still calls me Tori
The rest of the party goes on without a hitch Vanessa Cady and Henry stay after to help clean up
Vic:Thanks for all the help you guys with little one inside me it's not that easy to clean up and Cady thank you for putting this amazing birthday party together for Emma I couldn't have done it without you I can't believe my baby girl is four that's wild sorry Walt I meant our baby girl it's gonna take some getting used to
Vanessa:Well Nicole and I better get going we have an early rise time you know Nicole and Emma have that playgroup in the morning
Vic:Well don't go back to your hotel stay with us Nicole can share Emma's bed and we have the pull out couch which believe me it's a lot more comfortable than it looks I should know I used to sleep over here a lot when I didn't feel safe at home and I was married to Sean
Cady: I was just about to ask how you know all right Henry and I better get going. We have our own households to take care of. We'll see you guys tomorrow morning, busy bee for breakfast?
Walt:sounds good punk we'll see you tomorrow after playgroup
Cady and Henry leave so the remaining adults decide to put the little ones down to sleep
Emma: Mommy is Nicole staying over tonight?
Vic:she is you're going to have your very first sleepover with a friend who's close to your age
Emma:Nicole we get to play a little longer
Vanessa: Nice try mini tori,but you two have to get to bed it's late
Nicole:can't we stay up a little bit longer
Vic: i'm Afraid not because after we put you two to bed all of us adults are going to bed as well it's been a long day for all of us
Vanessa and Vic put their little girls to bed and then Walt and Vic set up Vanessa on the pull out couch
Vanessa:Thanks for Letting Nikki and I stay over. It'll be so much easier to get ready in the morning and go to the playgroup all together, that is if you guys are bringing her there?
Walt:Don't mention it we rarely ever have guests over and of course we're bringing Emma to the playgroup tomorrow we wouldn't miss it for the world
Vic: speak for yourself I plan to come with you guys but if I have any morning sickness I am staying home because with me It's never just morning sickness it's all day sickness and when I get sick I act like I have food poisoning every time. Nessa you know, remember my sickness when I was in the fourth grade?
Vanessa:Oh my God! I forgot about that. Walt, you've got to hear this story. Tori really wanted to get out of this test we had to take in history, Tori's worst subject. so she got all the germs she could. She even kissed the nerdiest guy in school because the guy had a cold. Tori got so sick she's such a baby when she's sick.
Vic:Alright well here's your bed all set and comfortable if you need extra blankets there in that closet to your left and if you need an extra pillow they are right there on the little barstool good night and we'll see you in the morning. come on Walt, I'm ready for bed
Walt:It was nice meeting you Vanessa and talking with you today. good night we'll see you in the morning
Walt and Vic go to the bedroom. Vanessa slips in under the covers and falls asleep quickly. with Vic and Walt
Walt:man Even Cady's fourth birthday wasn't this busy
Vic:Mine was,my dad wanted to get me a pony but I wanted nothing to do with that. my parents ended up getting me one of those motorized trucks
Walt:I'm pretty sure Cady had a motorized Jeep. we should get to sleep early morning incoming
Walt and Vic quickly fall asleep the next morning everybody gets up at 07:00 AM. the first thing Vic does is throw up
Vic:I don't think I can make it to play group...can you handle Emma on your own?
Walt:We both know I can. You just rest.
Vic follows Walt's orders and once everybody leaves Vic is left in silence and it's killing her.
Vic:Ugh I hate this. I live for chaos.
She lays in bed a bit longer debating whether she should stay or not. she finally decides.
Vic:That's it! I can't do this
She gets out of bed and tries to make something for breakfast but as soon as she catches a whiff of her sausage she runs to the bathroom.
Vic:maybe food is not a good idea
About 2 hours later everybody comes back this time including Cady and Henry
Emma:Mommy we're home
Vic walks into the living room and takes Emma from Walt
Vic:How was the play group?
Vanessa:a lot of nursery rhymes today
Emma:I was the cow in old McDonald
Nicole:and I was the sheep
Vic:can someone please make me a thing of tea I'm starving but I can't keep anything down
Vanessa:I can take care of that
Vanessa starts a pot of tea,Walt sits next to Vic and Puts a comforting arm around her she leans into Walt's side while Henry and Cady start to play Barbies with Emma and Nicole
Henry:Cady,do you remember the Barbie I gave you when you were just a little girl, probably around Emma's age?
Cady:Yep. I had plenty of the normal blonde white Barbies. Henry was able to find an Indian looking doll and gave it to me for my fourth birthday. I think I still have it somewhere in my house
Emma:If you find it, can you give it to me?
Cady:of course
With Walt and Vic
Walt:So how are you feeling?
Vic: like complete shit but I'm hoping that the tea will help. It helped a lot when I was pregnant with Emma
Vanessa gives Vic her preferred tea and gives everybody else a cup of coffee and the girls each a juice box
Emma: Mommy do you know what you're having yet?
Vic: not yet, I should be able to figure it out pretty soon. What do you want it to be?
Emma: I want it to be a little sister but if it ends up being a little brother I'll be happy but I just think it be more fun if I had a little sister
Vic: What about you Cady?
Cady: if I'm being honest I always wanted a little brother growing up. I had a name picked out for him and everything. I wanted to name him Willy.
Vic: Willy?
Cady: my favorite movie at the time and of all time was Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory
Vanessa: oh I love that movie. I refuse to watch Charlie and the chocolate factory it's just not the same plus Johnny depp creeps me out in that movie
Cady:It's Tim Burton. What do you expect?
Vanessa: True very true
Vic finally managed to keep the tea down; she knows best about her body and tea was the right thing to have. Once lunch rolls around Walt encourages her to try to eat half a sandwich.
Cady: feeling any better now that you have something in your stomach other than just liquids?
Vic: not really but maybe I just need it to settle in my stomach before I answer anything about food or how my body is feeling. I just want this baby out already, i think I'll call the doctor and see if I can get a gender test anytime soon
Vic goes and calls the doctor she says it's still too early to tell but there is a test that has an 89% accuracy and that's good enough for Vic she schedules her appointment for the next day.
Henry:Any luck?
Vic:Yeah,tomorrow morning. Walt and Emma, are you two gonna come with me?
Emma: well mommy I don't know about daddy but I will definitely come with you
Walt: well if Emma is coming with you then I am definitely coming with you to besides this child is half mine
Vic: hey Vanessa I totally forgot to ask, if you still live in Philadelphia what are you and Nikki doing here in Wyoming?
Vanessa: All right Tori if I'm being honest I heard you left Philadelphia. I was stung. I was planning to reconnect with you once summer rolled around and here we are. I just want to reconnect with you. I went looking for you when you weren't where you were before and your mom said you moved back to Wyoming, so I came here just to see you.
Vic: Ever hear about a phone call?
Vanessa: Believe me I thought about calling you but it just wouldn't be the same I wanted to see you and to rekindle our friendship Tori you and I are best friends I don't wanna lose you again
Vic: you never lost me in the first place, yes we are best friends we just grew up, married different assholes, had kids, moved to different places. but I am a whole different person than who you knew when I was younger like I said I was married once. I had Emma with a guy who wants to be part of her life , and now I'm finally happy and you drop this bomb on me?
Walt: Vic calm down all this stress is not good for the baby
Vanessa:Maybe it was a mistake to come here. Because Vic you're right you're not the same person...you're even better
Vic steps towards Vanessa
Vic:no there's no mistake. I'm glad you're here. Are you Niki gonna go back to Philadelphia or stay here in Wyoming?
Vanessa:Well I've been thinking about it and we have nothing for us in Philadelphia anymore Wyoming might be the right change of pace. I just got a house in Durant today. We'll have a housewarming party soon
Vic:Nessa,That is fantastic news!
Vanessa:oh Vic I have one last thing to tell you...I'm dating Travis
Emma:pops?
Vanessa just nods at Emma
Vic:you're dating Emma's biological father?
Vanessa: I know that's like the worst thing I could ever do as your friend but I met Travis before I knew he was even a part of your life. If it makes you feel uncomfortable or Emma uncomfortable in any way I will stop it.
Vic: I mean if you and Travis end up marrying each other and then being Nikki's stepfather it might be a little weird but I can see that he makes you really happy so I wouldn't make you stop the relationship. I'm happy for you. Emma, are you happy for Aunt Vanessa finding a great guy like your daddy?
Emma: yeah I'm happy for her and I'm happy that Nikki gets to know Travis but if Travis is my real pops would that make Nikki and I sisters if he becomes her step daddy?
Vic: well technically it would make you stepsisters but yes you two would be sisters technically
Emma: Just like Cady and I?
Vic: yes just like Cady and you
Emma: then aunt Vanessa I'm very very happy that you and Travis are in a relationship and Nikki he is so fun to be around you'll love my pops
Everything in Vic's life it's perfect right now. perfect family, perfect friend relationships, the perfect pregnancy aside from the morning sickness. Now she's ready to find out the gender. The next morning Walt,Vic, and Emma wake up at an early hour so they can make it to the doctor on time. Once they arrive Vic checks herself in and now she's sitting next to Walt and Emma, her leg bouncing up and down. nerves filling her up.
Nurse: Victoria Longmire?
Vic: I will never get used to hearing that. Am I allowed to bring people in with me?
Nurse: if that makes you feel more comfortable then they can come in with you
They all follow the nurse to the room where she sets up Vic on the table with the stirrups after taking her vitals. shortly after the doctor comes in.
Dr.Sauders: Vic it's been quite a while. last time I saw you you were pregnant with... her. I see you had her. What's her name?
Vic: dr. Saunders, this is my little four year old daughter Emma Longmire and yes she was that little baby that was in my tummy when you met me. but right now I'm curious about this puppy.
She rubs her stomach gently
Dr.Saunders: Yes we ran the test and with 89% accuracy we can tell you that you are having another girl congratulations. But I must tell you that it's only 89% chances are there's another 11% it could be a boy so don't lose hope yet if a girl was not what you were hoping for. We'll officially find out when you are ready to give birth, Vic.
Vic: Thank you so much doctor, we already have names picked out for Both genders. If it's a boy it will be Walter Junior and if it's a girl it will be Little Lena after my mother.
Dr.Saunders: oh well Walt,Vic I think that's beautiful. Emma it was wonderful to meet you. Hopefully we'll see you back very soon to get that little puppy Out of you Vic. I look forward to seeing you all again.
All three of them come back and find Vanessa and Travis having coffee while Nikki plays with her Barbie dolls. Emma goes and joins her while Vic and Walt sit down with Vanessa and Travis.
Travis: So Vic I guess this is a pretty big shock to you, huh?
Vic: yeah it was a pretty big shock I kinda almost lost it on Vanessa but after she explained it a bit more and I found out Emma was OK with it I felt a lot better.
Travis: Yeah Emma, thank you very much for the great words about me. Nikki seems to think I'm a lot of fun according to your description of me.
Emma: you're welcome. see Nikki I told you he had a great sense of humor
The two couples and girls hang out for a bit more then Travis decides it's time for him to make his way home. Vanessa and Nikki are still staying with Vic, Walt,and Emma
Walt: all right ladies we should eat something and then go to bed luckily tomorrow we get the day off no playgroup so we can all sleep in
Vic: Walt you always come up with the best ideas
Vanessa: Vic you're just saying that because you're in love with him but I can't blame you he's a beautiful man and you two are so cute together.
Walt:Uh...Thank you
Walt and Vic whip up some tacos for dinner. Then they put the girls to bed and all the adults retire to bed for the rest of the night. The next morning Emma and Nikki are the first ones to wake up. They run into Walt and Vic's room and jump on the bed until they are awoken and then do the same to Nikki's mom Vanessa in the other room.
Vic: Why is it so hard to sleep with toddlers in the house?
Walt: because they have boundless energy. now I don't care if you're pregnant get your lazy butt up now
Vic: hey what happened to the wonderful, amazing, caring, and doting husband Walter Longmire go?
Walt: I'm still all those things but Travis is coming over for breakfast and I need help cooking it. Plus I might have some news that I need to tell all of you so up,up,up
Vic reluctantly gets up and gets ready for the day she's dying to know Walt's big news. He will not give her any hints and irritates the shit out of her. but she's just going to have to wait. Besides, Walt tells her that she might not even be happy about the news, but now Vic is really dying to find out.
Vic: Emma and Nikki do us a favor tomorrow and try to at least sleep until 10, 11 o'clock in the morning. 6 AM is really too early on a Saturday,Sunday morning
Emma: sorry mommy but when my eyes open I'm awake for the day. how about this if we wake up early we won't wake you up until 10 or 11?
Vic: you are way too smart to be only four but that does sound like a good plan... all right Emma you win we'll go with what you said
Travis finally arrives with his distinctive knock on the door. Emma is the one to answer it with Nikki close behind and eventually Vic gets behind both of them.
Vic: Hey Travis, come on in, breakfast is just about ready. supposedly Walt has big news to tell us and I'm dying to find out what it is. so come on and sit anywhere you would like there's a seat right next to Vanessa in case you're interested.
Travis takes Vic's advice and sits right next to Vanessa. Walt serves everybody in A timely manner and finally settles himself right in between Vic and Emma. About halfway through breakfast Walt clears his throat.
Walt: as we all know Vic is about to have a baby, and Emma is about to be a big sister, and I'm about to be a father to a little baby, so as a surprise for all of you I'm taking all of us including Henry and Cady on a six week cruise starting the 1st of September.
Everybody is shocked as Walt shows them the tickets. Vic can't believe that she's going on a six week cruise with everybody, Vanessa and Travis are just surprised that they're invited, Emma and Nikki don't know what to think because they don't know what a boat or a cruise is,and Henry and Cady know already they were just as surprised when Walt surprised them a week ago. Finally Vic manages to say something.
Vic:Walt this is so amazingly sweet of you and that we really appreciate it but we can't let you pay for all of this it's too much. At least let me pay for me and Emma's ticket.
Walt: Vic I wouldn't make anybody pay for anybody's ticket besides me. remember Emma is half my now she's just as much my daughter as she is yours.
Vic: I didn't mean to offend you in any way. I'm sorry I keep forgetting that you are Emma's father or daddy or whatever she wants to call you.Walt I hate to say this but I don't think I can go on a cruise with everybody. if it was just the three of us I wouldn't care but with everybody it's a little awkward. It's like going on vacation with your best friends but also people who used to be your worst enemies, you know what I mean?
Walt: i'm afraid I don't
Travis: But I think I do. Vic has a rich history with everyone of us, some of us more than others. She doesn't want to feel like she has to look over her shoulder and behind her back every moment of this trip. We all have our own demons but this one might be a little too much for Vic and with her carrying a child it might not be the best for her. so Walt I appreciate the sentiment thank you but I politely decline
Vic: oh Travis don't do that because of me. I'll be fine, I'm just a little stressed and hormonal. you guys are coming with us whether I like it or not and believe me I'm happy about it I'm just overthinking way too much.
Vanessa: No Vic I honestly know what Travis is saying the three of us politely decline. Walt, I've been on cruises before there's a way to refund the tickets. I'll help you out with that but the three of us can't go knowing that Vic will be having a little trouble. but the five of you should enjoy this trip
Vic: This is getting ridiculous. The three of us will not go on the cruise. You guys enjoy the cruise and enjoy the trip. This is all because of me that you're deciding not to go. Walt,Emma, and I will skip out.
Walt: Vic this cruise is mostly for you for us to bond as a family before we have another little girl joining us
Vic: Walt that was supposed to be a surprise and you just ruined it. I need to take a nap. This is way too much. you guys figure it out I'm done trying to do stuff.
Vic escapes to the bedroom and flops on the bed on her back and lets out a long groan. Then she feels the bed indent next to her. It was too light to be Walt then she finally hears the little voice of her four year old daughter Emma.
Emma: Mommy are you okay? You're really pale, like me when I don't feel well. I'll call daddy in here.
Emma takes a deep breath and hollers
Emma:DADDY GET IN HERE QUICK
Walt quickly gets into the room
Walt: What's going on?
Emma: I'm worried about mama. She doesn't look like she feels good, and she won't answer me back, and she's crying. Daddy, we need to get her to the hospital.
Walt sits on the other side of the bed trying to get a hold of Vic's consciousness.
Walt: come on Vic you're in there somewhere just give us a sign that you're okay. Because if you're not I will take Emma's advice and bring you to the hospital, all this can't be good for the baby.
Vic is way too deep in her emotions and is overly exhausted; she can't answer Walt back. her consciousness has left her for the time being. so Walt picks Her up bridal style -obviously- and brings her to the bronco and drives himself ,Emma ,and Vic to the hospital.
Walt: Sarah please page doc Weston,doc Saunders, and the psychologist on the board tonight. We need all three of them. Vic is not in a good state.
Sara: it looks like a real emergency i'll page them right now and they should be with you in two minutes or under
Walt:Thanks
Every doctor that Walt wanted got there in under a minute..
Doctor Saunders:What's going on with her,Walt?
Walt:Well we've had a pretty stressful morning And all consciousness has left her, she's pale, and she won't answer any of us she just stares into space.
The psychologist crouches down to Vic's level and tries to get her to join the real world again
Doctor Hudson:Vic,my name is Doctor Hudson. Your husband and daughter are really worried about you and you have another baby on the way...can you answer this are you okay?
Vic shakes her head
Doctor Hudson:Alright we're getting somewhere. I'd like to talk to Vic alone if possible.
Walt:Yeah, whatever it takes. Should Emma and I wait here or…?
Doctor Saunders: I advise you two to go home. Dr. Hudson needs to 'interrogate' Vic and if you were here to distract her we don't need that and it could take a while even hours upon hours don't worry though We'll call you when it's all said and done and tell you where to go from there in the meantime just go back in business like normal
Walt: alright little lady let's go back home
Emma: What about mommy?
Walt: the nice doctors have to ask her some questions and check on your baby sister if that test was right don't worry though they'll call us when they're done and we can come back and bring mommy home
Walt and Emma leave the hospital Emma didn't want to but after Walt talked to her a little bit more she knew it was best for them to leave back with everybody at the cabin except Vic
Vanessa: So after all that we still don't know what's happening with her?
Walt: i'm afraid so
Cady: dad I really hope Vic and baby sister are both OK and both safe We'll all wait with you here until we find out what's going through Vic's head
Walt:thanks punk
About two hours later The hospital calls Walt. Vic has finally let everything out it was just a lot of stress and the baby pushing on her sciatica wasn't helping she's ready to go home but she hast to relax as much as she possibly can Walt has decided that nobody is gonna go on the cruise he's gonna get his tickets refunded and everybody is perfectly fine with that. Finally Walt and Emma get back with Vic
Walt: Vic. Sit. now.
Cady: Dad you can't just treat her like a dog who just did something bad. What my dad means is take a seat right here in his chair. It's a lot more comfortable than the couch.
Walt: i'll make you some tea and then I want to take a real nap
Vic: I'm not all that tired. I don't mean to be rude but I just want to spend the rest of the day with my daughter and my husband
Travis: We understand that Vic I can take Vanessa and Nikki back to my place for a little bit
Vic: That would be great thank you Travis. Vanessa, is that OK with you? you guys can come back in like an hour or two hours I just want some alone time with Emma and Walt
Vanessa: Vic we are fine with that. I'll talk to Nikki and see what time she wants, I'll try to get her to hold out for two hours. We'll see you soon, you just relax and get well.
Vic bids everyone goodbye. Emma reveals that she'll be a little lonely without Nikki there but she knows this is what's best for her mom. Walt,Vic,and Emma are all cuddled on the couch. Vic of course is the one to break the silence.
Vic: I hate this relaxing thing I live for chaos that's why I couldn't relax when you all were at playgroup
Walt: Well Vic, we can do something while relaxing. We can watch TV,we can read, we can play a non stressful board game or card game. whatever you would like.
Vic: A game sounds good. Emma, you pick the game It can be a relaxing board game or relaxing card game
Emma:What about uno? I have the high school musical version.
Vic: sounds good to me, but you both know I am super competitive, right?
Walt: just try not to get too competitive during this game remember this is supposed to be relaxing
They play about three rounds of the game then eventually Vic does get tired out and goes to take a nap. Emma and Walt decide to play around of war.
Emma:I win. Daddy?
Walt:Yeah, spunker?
Emma: where do babies come from?
Walt: Well you know how mommy's stomach is big, right? They come from mommies' stomachs.
Emma: I know that, but where are they before they are in the mommy's tummy?
Walt:Have you ever seen a tadpole before?
Emma nods
Walt: Well the babies are like little tadpoles in Daddies body and then the daddy gives the mommy the little tadpole and the Tadpole sets up camp in there and grows into a baby. Do you understand what I'm saying?
Emma: No sorry daddy. I'll just have Mommy explain it to me later.
