Tales of the Multiverse Bit 44

After taking down the Heartless and Emotionless, King Bugs Bunny, Lola Bunny, Kanade the Kane, Daffy Duck, Marigold and Terry Matthew McGee met up in the main stadium of Baseball Kingdom when they came across a villain long-forgotten by everyone... Karasu.

Meanwhile in an urbanized town called Mahlamiig, the capital of a snowy region of Sahimlayas located in a world somewhere in the Multiverse. We see a group of girls consisting Chikane Himemiya, Kaede Fuyou, Lunamaria Hawke, Sabrina Swanson and Theamilla "Thea" Rose Arystar, the girls are known as DDU's ALPHA SQUADRON, walking down the busy streets after finishing a mission based in that region.

Three hours ago or so, the team were tasked destroy a number of Emotionless spotted in the area. They managed to eliminate the threats by trapping the creatures in a deep hole before blasting them to pieces with their respective weapons. After that, the girls received an information that a group of armed bandits are making their way to the town of Mahlamiig and were told to stop them.

The girls complied and the first thing they did is conceal themselves behind the large snowy rocks while waiting for the bandits to arrives and when their targets made their presence, the girls wasted no time taking them all down, not letting any of the bandits to fight back.

After defeating and capturing the bandits, Vance Stream arrives alongside a number of DDU soldiers arrives to arrest the bandits. Vance then advised the girls to stay in Mahlamiig for a couple of more days to protect it just in case the Emotionless returns which the girls complied.

For now, the girls wants nothing more but relax...

Sabrina shivered, "Brrrr! So cold!" she cried out, "Why is it so cold in this place?!" she complained.

... and get out of the cold.

Lunamaria turns to her, "Well... this region is known for it's cold and snowy season." she pointed out, "This region is like Antartica but with more civilizations present in it." she explained.

Kaede chuckled, "Well... if you're feeling cold, Sabrina...'' she mused before hugging Sabrina from behind, "I'll keep you warm." she declared.

Sabrina blushed but smiled nonetheless, "Ehehehe... thanks, Kaede." she said in appreciation, "Your warmth is all I need." she said.

Chikane chuckled before turning to Thea, "Nee, Thea? Do you really think the Emotionless will come back?" she questioned.

"I would be lying if I say no but after reports of Emotionless attacks getting more dangerous these days, we can't take any chances." Thea replied, "Both the Heroes Coalitions and ALL-STAR JUSTICE are doing their best to stop these attacks and we should to." she stated.

Lunamaria sighed, "I wish we can find a way to stop these Emotionless attacks once and for all." she muttered.

"I hope so too." Thea said in agreement, "But with limited information about these creatures, we can't do anything but to fight them." she said.

Sabrina then spoke, "I say we save this talk for another time because I see the bathhouse from the distance!" she exclaimed before running off, "Race ya there girls!" she mused.

Kaede quickly ran after her, "No fair, Sabrina! You got a head start!" she whined.

Lunamaria then ran after the two, "Oi! Stop running you two!" she scolded.

Chikane and Thea looks at each other before chuckling, "Let's go." the latter beckoned, "Yeah!" the former complied.

And with that, the five girls ran towards the bathhouse, laughing and giggling at the same time, passing-by a very unrecognizable Blazer whom sitting on a concrete bench.

Blazer watches the girls go for a minute before shaking his head, he then turns his attention back at the three-floored beer pub in front of him and inside is crowded by patrons of all species, drinking booze and having a lively chat with their companions.

In the second floor of the building is crowded by various patrons but are mostly occupied by a certain organization... the Vultures.

Members of the Vultures are seen all around the area, drinking and having the good time of their lives and while at one table, we see Mace Wyndu taking a sip of a pink-colored beer in a glass while reading a tabloid at the same time.

Then Abdul Hakim and Tamina Sixx rushes towards him, "Mace! You have to come down!" the former advised.

Mace lazily turns to them, "And why should I?" he asked.

"Because he is down there." Tamina replied with Mace raising an eyebrow.

A minute later, Mace, Abdul and Tamina came down to the first floor and began to look around the sea of patrons, and took notice of four figures, four males to be exact, having a drink and a lively chat at the bar counter.

The first male is a tall, old man with a muscular frame and has a tattoo all over his right arm. He has a short grayish-black hair and has heterochromia eyes with his right eye blue and his left eye brown, and has a scar on his right cheek. He wears a black rubber-made sleeveless bodysuit with a neck collar underneath a yellow & white body armor. His armor consists of a chestplate and parts that resembles an abs, six patches strapped on the sides of his mid-sections and leg armor covering both of his thighs. He wears a bulky shoulder armor on his right shoulder and robotic arm gauntlet over a black gloves with white fingers and a rubber-like armor on his left arm. He wears a metal pad-like knee pads over brown boots. This is Zaeed Massani.

The second male is a Turian. He stands over six feet tall and have two long, proportionately thick fingers and an opposable thumb on each hand, each tipped with talons, and a set of mandibles around his mouth. His most distinguishing feature is his metallic carapace, and has black eyes with blue irises. He wears a black bodysuit with blue linings underneath a silver colored body armor with blue highlights, a large helmet disconnector, sphere-shaped shoulder pauldrons, silver armored gauntlets and black gloves. A black colored codpiece on his torso with a mechanical leg armor, shin guards and sharp-pointed boots. This is Garrus Vakarian.

The third male is tall man with a muscular frame. He has a brown afro hair and has brown eyes, and wears a red sunglasses. He wears a green-colored sharped collared coat with two golden-colored aiguillette on his chest over a white top and a white scarf wrapped around his neck, black pants and brown shoes. This is Edward Kramer.

The fourth male is a tall man in his 50's. He has a pale skin tone and has small yet muscular frame. He has a silver-black slicked back hair & facial hair and has dark eyes with white irises. He wears a gray high-collared jacket underneath a silver-colored buttoned sleeveless vest, black pants, black gloves and gray-colored boots. This is Stallion Silvestre.

Mace is surprised to Stallion and his crew, taking a deep breath, he made his way towards the man with Abdul and Tamina following suit.

"After going around years in circles with this woman I end up marrying." Stallion shared, "I said, "I love you, girl but you're losing your mind! Then again, she's always been that way, I could never trust her, you know?" he stated with a smile.

Mace then appears before him, "Stallion." he called out before tapping his chest with his fist, "It's been some time." he greeted which got Stallion and his crew's attentions.

Stallion frowned upon seeing him while Garrus stares at Mace in disbelief, "It seems like this establishment is the wrong kind of disreputable." the silver-colored haired man declared while looking at Mace from head to toe before pointing a derogatory finger at him.

And with that, Stallion, Garrus, Zaeed and Edward made their way out of the pub with an innkeeper following them.

"Stallion!" Mace called out.

Outside, Blazer took noticed of Stallion's group walking out of the bar with the innkeeper catching up with them, "There's a hundred DDU factions." he pointed out, "You lost the business of 99 of them by serving one." he stated.

"Please, sir. Please!" the innkeeper pleaded.

Stallion then pushes the innkeeper away, "Get away from me." he beckoned.

Mace watches them walks off with his head down, anger slowly building up inside, snarling in agitation, Mace smashes a glass in hand before marching out of the bar.

"You can go to hell then!" Mace yelled, "I don't give a damn what you think of me!" he exclaimed.

Stallion, Garrus, Zaeed and Edward quickly turns around and marches back at him, "So what are you following us for?" Stallion demanded.

"Are you gonna listen to what I gotta say?!" Mace shouted before getting onto Stallion's face.

"I don't gotta listen to nothing, you've done crimes behind the DDU's backs!" Stallion pointed out, "DDU don't do crimes!" he admonished.

"I told you before, I made no promises that I won't turn back of my old business!" Mace argued.

"And yet ya did and now yer out of the DDU!" Stallion argued back.

"I demand a seat on the table, I wear these badges, same as you!" Mace exclaimed.

"You may own the same badge like us but you'll never hear the hordes of freedom when you die Mace and the colors of Hector Vanguard will never flash over your grave!" Stallion exclaimed before grabbing Mace on both his shoulders, "If you think I take pleasure in exiling you, you're wrong." he admitted in utter disappointment, "You broke all of our trust." he declared.

Stallion then let's go of Mace and then walking off with Edward and Zaeed following him while Garrus briefly stared at Mace for a minute before walking off, following his comrades, leaving Mace alone in his thoughts.

Abdul and Tamina approaches him, "Are you okay, boss?" the former asked in concern.

Mace shook his head before letting out a deep breath, "No, I'm not." he admitted, "We should turned a new leaf upon joining the DDU but old habit never died." he stated. He look around before taking another deep breath, "Well... I'm lost." he confessed, "Tell the others I'll be gone for a while." he advised, "I need some time alone." he said before walking off.

Abdul and Tamina looks at each for a minute before nodding, "We'll go with you, boss." the former declared.

Mace then stopped, "Then who'll look after the rest of the pack?" he questioned.

"We'll leave that to Uranagi." Tamina replied, "Besides... we can't just leave you alone." she reasoned.

Mace chuckled, "Fools." he muttered, "All right... meet me at the ship, we'll use an Eaglez together." he advised before walking off.

Abdul and Tamina smiled in response, "Yes sir!" they complied tapping their chest with their fist before making their way back inside the bar.

As this is going on, we Blazer watching Mace walks away before putting a finger on the communicator in his left ear.

"Blazer here." Blazer announced, "Mace Wyndu is walking off after what seems like an argument with the DDU Admiral Stallion Sylvestre." he reported, "Should I take him down now?" he asked.

"Negative." the voice of Terrence Ohno replied, "Kazeyoshi won't like that." he reasoned, "Just focus on assisting the ALPHA SQUADRON in eliminating the Emotionless while staying in the shadows." he advised.

Blazer nodded, "All right." he complied before ending the call, "Whatever is going on through Mace's life, I hope he makes it through." he stated.

Bzzzttt...

Meanwhile is Kasumigastar, is a planet located at thousand of light years from Earth. somewhere in the multiverse. We head towards a 28-floored luxurious building and inside one office, we see a male working on his desk.

The male is tall 53-years old man with a fair complexion. He has a short casual blue-colored hair, he has light-blue eyes and wears black framed glasses. He wears a black business jacket over a white-collared shirt with a black necktie, black pants with a blue belt, white socks and black leather shoes. This is Noboru Takizawa.

As Noboru works on his computer, the door of his office opens and in came another man.

"Sir, the troops are all ready." the man announced, "All they needed is your permission to set off." he told him.

"Permission granted." Noboru replied, "Tell the troops to use excessive violence, we want this invasion to be successful as possible." he advised.

"Yes sir." the man complied before leaving the room.

Noboru then turns around and face the city behind the window of his office with a very calculating expression, "It's about time we enforced our rules all across the multiverse." he declared with a wicked grin.
