Buccaneer "Buckles" Murphy, Gillian "Gill" Norman, Akatora Tsujimiya and the Creepy Guy watches the suspicious-looking mad scientist looks around for any trouble when they noticed a robber trying to mug an old woman, the suspicious-looking mad scientist grinned in delight before pointing the Heel-Face Turn Blastah at the robber.

The story opens in the planet Allianz where we head towards the main base of the Dimensional Defense Union which is located in the city of Xustica and inside one control room of the DDU Dome, we see a young woman sitting in front of computer, typing on a keyboard while wearing a headset.
The young woman had a fair skin tone and had a pair of cat ears on top of her head, she had a mid-length messy brown hair and she had green-colored eyes, and she also freckle-like spots on each cheeks. She wears a lab coat over a purple buttoned-shirt, light-brown pants and white-furred boots. This is Dr. Kat Manx.

"You're currently in a location filled with creatures called Nightmares." Kat spoke through the microphone on her headset, "These creatures are as dangerous as the Emotionless, so please proceed with caution." she advised, "Your tasks is to eliminate these creatures and gather info about them at the same time." she instructed, "If things get awry, I advise to retreat at once and wait until we send reinforcements." she furthered, "The A-Squad is available at the moment, so please do keep that in mind." she concluded.

The scene then changes on a snowy planet called Zamrznjena where we see Theamilla "Thea" Rose Arystar, Chikane Himemiya, Kaede Fuyou, Lunamaria Hawke and Sabrina Swanson, members of the ALPHA Squadron, gathered underneath a snow-covered tree with Thea listening to Dr. Kat's advise on her earpiece.
Thea nodded, "Got it, we'll be careful." she complied before ending the call and then turning to her teammates, "That was Dr. Kat." she shared, "She told us that this area is filled with Nightmares and had tasked us in eliminating these creatures while gathering info about them at the same time." she explained before turning to Kaede and Lunamaria, "I'll leave the gathering of info to you two." she ordered.
Kaede nodded, "You can count on us." she complied.
Sabrina sighed, "If the Emotionless weren't enough of a trouble, then came these guys." she grumbled.
"I guess the Dark Forces are doing everything they can to create trouble." Chikane voiced out her thoughts, "And with little info we know about them, who knows what they'll come up with next." she stated.
Lunamaria grabbed her weapons and walks ahead, "I'll be on front." she volunteered.
"Kaede, Chikane, cover Lunamaria's back." Thea ordered, "Sabrina and I will guard our backs." she stated.
And with that, the five girls proceeds to trudge forward the snowy path between two snow-covered forest, the girls looks around cautiously while keeping their guards up for any hostile entities.
Sabrina then slaps her face, "Stupid mosquitoes!" she growled, "Should they be hibernating or dying in cold places like this?" she questioned in annoyance while Thea and Kaede giggled.
Lunamaria then stops walking with her teammates following suit, "What's wrong?" Chikane asked in concern.
Lunamaria held a hand up, "I hear something..." she answered before scanning the area, "Sounds like someone or some people are fighting." she described.
"Could it be that some people encountered the Nightmares?" Kaede assumed in concern.
"Let's go and see." Thea beckoned, "Come on!" she ordered.
The girls then immediately made their way towards the source of the sound and upon arriving in an open area, they came across a group of six kids taking on a group of Nightmares, much to the ALPHA Squadron's surprise.
The first kid is a boy with a slim frame, he had an orange-brown broom-like spiky hair with two tufts of bangs and he had black-colored eyes. He wears a red long-sleeved full bodysuit with a white croptop, wristbands and triangular-shaped thigh pads, red gloves with a white triangle logo and red boots with white calf-rings and points. He wears an orange-colored visor and golden-colored earrings. This is Fox Fonseca, also known as Red Ranger Combo.

The second kid is a girl with a slim frame, she had a waist-length orange hair tied in a low pigtails by pink scrunchies with a long yellow-colored bangs and she had black-colored eyes. She wears a pink-colored leotard with white croptop and wristbands over a white leggings, she wears a pink thigh-high boots with calf-rings and points, she wears a pink gloves with a white triangle logo and she wears a pink-colored visor. This is Tatiana "Tati" Rosa, also known as Pink Ranger Combo.

The third kid is a boy with a slim frame, he had a black spiky hair the sways to the side and his bangs covering his eyes. He wears a blue long-sleeved full bodysuit with a white croptop, wristbands and triangular-shaped thigh pads, blue gloves with a white triangle logo and blue boots with white calf-rings and points. This is Kenji "Ken" Ozora, also known as Blue Ranger Combo.

The fourth kid is a boy with a slim frame, he had a dark-brown complexion, he had a black hair tied in six dreadlocks and he had black-colored eyes. He wears a green long-sleeved full bodysuit with a white croptop, wristbands and triangular-shaped thigh pads, green gloves with a white triangle logo and green boots with white calf-rings and points. He wears a green-colored visor. This is Frederico "Kiko" Freitas, also known as Green Ranger Combo.

The fifth kid is a girl with a slim frame, she had a waist-length orange-brown hair tied in a low ponytail by a yellow band and she had black-colored eyes. She wears a yellow-colored leotard with white croptop and wristbands over a white leggings, she wears a yellow thigh-high boots with calf-rings and points, she wears a yellow gloves with a white triangle logo and she wears a yellow-colored visor. This is Lisa Lima, also known as Yellow Ranger Combo.

The sixth kid is a boy with a slim frame, he had a white neck-length hair and he had black-colored eyes. He wears a white long-sleeved full bodysuit with a black armored top wrapped around his chest and shoulders, he wears a black belt with a red-circular buckle wrapped around his waist, he wears a black-colored wristbands and triangular-shaped thigh pads, white gloves and white boots with black calf-rings. He wears a white-colored visor. This is Luke, also known as White Ranger Combo.

These kids are collectively known as the Combo Rangers.
"Who are these kids?!" Sabrina questioned in shock, "And how old are these kids?" she added.
"They look like nine or ten to me." Chikane estimated.
"We can talk about this later, we need to help those kids!" Thea beckoned.
And with that, the members of the ALPHA Squadron charges across the battlefield, much to the surprise of the kids.
"Wait?! Who are you people?!" Fox questioned in surprise.
"Introductions later." Thea replied, "Nightmares extermination comes in first!" she pointed out, "Let's go!" she commanded.

A large gorilla-like Nightmare while carrying a barrel on it's right shoulder made it's presence before Fox, Tati, Ken, Kiko, Lisa and Luke, the large creature let's out a mighty roar while pounding it's chest, the six kids then charges towards it.
The Nightmare then threw the barrel towards Kiko but the green-clad hero opened a green-colored portal and the projectile went inside before another portal appears behind the creature where the barrel came out and hits it on the back of it's head.
As this is going on, Lisa created an orange force field in a shape of a cone using her hands while Tati took a deep breath before letting out a powerful sonic scream through the cone which amplified her powers that is enough to send the creature flying backwards while feeling dazed at the same time.
After that, Fox and Luke flew towards the Nightmare where they started to beat the creature up with a furry of punches and kicks, Luke grabs the creature on it's left leg before tossing it towards Fox and red-clad hero responded by dropkicking it on the face.
Ken then brought out colorful guns and handed it to his teammates, they then proceeds to combine their weapons into one before unleashing a powerful laser beam towards the Nightmare, destroying it on the process.
As this is going on, we see Lunamaria aiming her Ad Victoriam towards a group of amphibian-like Nightmares, "Take this, you bastards!" she exclaimed before firing three rockets in a v-formation towards her targets, blasting them off the ground. One Nightmare tried to attack her from behind but Lunamaria dodges and brought out a handgun before shooting the creature on the head, killing it on the process.
Right behind her, we see Kaede busy taking down one goblin-like Nightmare after another - using her Type-51 Directed Energy Rifle, shooting plasma shots towards her targets, taking the creatures down one by one. She then activated her Bloodblade before charging forward, slicing and killing every creatures on her path, one Nightmare tried to strike her down but she ducks out of the way before knocking it out with a single kick.
Meanwhile we see Chikane taking down one stick figure-like Nightmare by kicking it hard enough to send it crashing towards it's comrades, she brought out her bow and arrows before shooting out three lethal arrows, hitting three stick figure-like Nightmares on the head, killing them all out. She then shoots out another one and hits one on the chest, the stick figure-like Nightmare proceeds to dramatically hold it's chest before falling down to the ground dead, much to her bewilderment.
Just a few feet away from Chikane, we see Sabrina busy gunning down her targets and from the looks of it, she's having the time of her life. Using her Assault Rifle, she mercilessly takes down all of the clown-dressed Nightmares coming towards her. She then immediately switches her Assault Rifle with a G4H-DuSH before firing a missile towards a group of Nightmares, blasting them off the ground.
Meanwhile we see Thea charging forward with an orange-glowing, lightsaber-like weapon in hand, she the swung her weapon and slices a crocodile-Nightmare in half, she swung it again and slices another creature vertically, she then thrust her weapon forward and stabs another creature on the chest. She then brought out a bulky, blue-colored handgun and began to charge it with a powerful energy, "Starlight SHOOOOTOOOO!" she bellowed before firing a massive powerful beam towards a group of Nightmares, blasting them all to dust.
After a few minutes of fighting, the ALPHA Squadron and the Combo Rangers defeated every Nightmares in sight, they are panting heavily while observing the dead creatures turns into dust.
"The reports about these creatures are right." Kaede uttered, "They really turn into dust once defeated." she said.
Lunamaria then approaches the Combo Rangers, "Are you kids okay?" she asked.
Lisa nodded, "Yeah we are." she confirmed with a smile, "Thank you for aiding us." she said in gratitude, "Those things were relentless and many, so you're timely aid is well-appreciated." she stated.
"You girls were really cool out there!" Fox commented in awe.
"And the weapons you girls used are really incredible." Ken complimented.
"Thanks." Sabrina replied, "You kids ain't bad either." she complimented with a grin, "Beating that thing is no easy park." she described.
Fox rubs the back of his head rather bashfully, "Hehehe..." he chuckled, "... thanks." he said while Tati pouted at him.
Thea then slaps Sabrina at the back of her head, "Yeow!" the raven-haired girl yelped before turning to her leader, "What did I do?" she asked in confusion.
"Shotacon." Thea hissed.
Afterwards, the girls of the ALPHA Squadron introduced themselves as members of the heroes organization called the Dimensional Defense Union, much to the kids' awe and surprise as this is the first time they've heard of them.
The kids then revealed themselves as a group of nine-years old heroes called the Combo Rangers. They came from a city called Cidade where they are drafted by a retired hero called Mighty Combo, whom they also called Uncle Combo, to fight the good fight against the invading aliens of the Deskarga Empire led by the terrible General Pile and his army of monsters. The kids also revealed that they are members of the Association of Super Heroes.
The ALPHA Squadron, despite their shock to know that the kids are just nine-years old, they can't help but be impressed and amazed that these kids taken upon themselves to protect their world.
"So, how did you kids got here?" Lunamaria inquired.
Luke then spoke, "We we're just walking in the streets after a day in school when a large blue-colored hand appeared from the sky and grabbed us before dropping us here." he explained.
Sabrina facefaulted, "Ugh..." she groaned, "... not the large blue hand again." she grumbled in annoyance.
"You know about it?" Ken inquired.
"Let's just say that the large blue hand is a huge pain in the ass for a lot of us." Chikane answered with a tired breath, "Though..." she uttered, "... view towards the large blue hand is pretty mixed." she mentioned.
"How so?" Kiko asked.
"In some cases..." Kaede spoke, "... the large blue hand will kidnap people from various worlds for whatever reasons..." she explained, "... however there are cases where a 'victim' claims that the large blue hand saved from death or whatever trouble they got into." she added.
"So..." Lisa uttered, "... the large blue hand is neither good guy and a bad guy?" she assumed.
Sabrina sighed, "That's a question that a lot of us had been asking for a long time." she admitted.
"So, what should we do now?" Tati asked.
Thea then spoke, "Normally we would take you kids to our home base, so we can help you get back home." she answered, "However..." she uttered, "... my team and I still have yet to finish our mission in this world, so we can't just leave just yet." she stated.
"Guess you kids are stuck with us until we finished our mission." Sabrina pointed out.
"Maybe we can help you girls in this mission?" Fox suggested, "I mean..." he uttered, "... my friends and I had the abilities to fight, so we aren't exactly what you consider a load or a burden." he stated.
Thea thought about it, "That's true." she admitted.
"Just think of it as our way to thank you girls for helping us earlier." Lisa added with a smile.
Thea nodded in acknowledgement, "Okay, I'm convinced." she complied, "You kids can help us." she conceded, "But you kids still need to be careful and keep your guards up at all times." she advised, "Got it?" she beckoned.
"Yes, ma'am!" the Combo Rangers cheered in response.
