Author's notes: So I decided to make this cause, well I felt like it. Romance isn't my typical story M.O, but hey nothing ventured nothing gained. This fic will, more or less, be compilings of one-shots some will be continuations of others but they will more or less have the same continuity, timeline wise it might be all over the place. I won't be giving hard dates for every story written as I find it better to be semi ambiguous with when these would take place in game canon. The title is also a bit of a play on words, not to hard to tell what words.
This will also be my first time uploading via mobile. Let me know if there are any formating errors and other such things.
Momentos Together
Lunch Date
Life for Ren Amamiya was interesting to say the least. Obtain a falsified criminal rep, extradited to the city due to a new controversial reputation, obtain delinquent status at a new school on the first day? Sounds like something out of an anime and yet here he was, the complete juvenile package. Most people would have accepted the hand they were given and fall in line with whatever society deemed them. But Ren Amamiya wasn't like most people. Despite all his labelings, and crappy life hand, Ren had always stayed true to himself, and stood against any injustice. It was how he awakened to his Persona abilities, how he became a Phantom Thief, how he got to know the new people he now called his friends. Speaking of…
"Ren~!"
As he was walking down the usual lead up to Shujin Academy he heard her voice calling out to him from behind. He turned and smiled, there she was, running towards him, hand waving in the air whilst the other held her bag straps to her shoulder, Ann Takamaki.
"Morning, Ann. You're very cheerful today."
"Well, that's because I got to see you before class."
"Oh really? Maybe I should stay over. That way I'll be the first thing you see when you wake up."
She playfully pushed his shoulder, a tint of pink creeping up on her cheeks. "You're such a tease. So," The two continued their walk, together, walking at a pace considerably slower than the students around them. "I was wondering, you think we could have lunch… together?" It'd only been a week since the two decided to become a couple, and both mutually wanted to keep the relationship low-key, lest they'd become the center of school gossip.
"Sure. We could meet up on the rooftop?"
She nodded, looking around, she noticed the lack of students around them and slyfully slid her arm with his. Clasping his hand, intertwining their fingers together. She looked up, a light blush on her cheeks. "There aren't that many people around, so…" Ren smiled, leaning in, he kissed her on the forehead. Her blush grew darker. "Hey! That's cheating." He laughed as they took their time enjoying the remainder of their commute together.
…
Ann quietly made her way up the stairs. She made sure that she wasn't followed, it wouldn't do to have miss student council president show up to remind them that 'Students are not supposed to be up here.', it really felt like she had it out for them. Regardless, Ann Takamaki wasn't going to let anything get in her way, this was their lunch date. But she had to admit she was slightly nervous, she had never done something like this, hell, she never even had a boyfriend before. What if Ren didn't like the lunch she made, what if he had an allergic reaction to something she made, what if he brought his own lunch?! She shook her head, she was being ridiculous, Ren wasn't some callous jerk, he was kind, sweet, understanding, and always there for her. She was just overthinking things like she unfortunately tends to do. She took a deep breath before opening the door to the roof and there he sat, sitting on one of the many school desks, he was on his phone before the sounds of the door opening shifted his attention.
"Hey," She quietly closed the door behind her. "I didn't keep you waiting too long, did I?"
"Not really. I got here a few minutes ago. I was just texting Ryuji if he could go check up on Morgana."
"Wait, was Morgana not in your bag this morning?" She sat down next to him, placing her bag next to her.
"He was still sleeping by the time I was leaving. It's funny how he always tells me to go to sleep yet he gets to sleep in."
"Well~," She scooted closer to Ren, their shoulders now touching. "It made it easier for us to do this. So, silver lining?" She flashed him an innocent smile which he couldn't help but return with one of his own.
"Yeah, you're right. So," Ren leaned forward slightly, now looking at Ann's bag. "what's for lunch?"
"Wait, you didn't bring your own lunch?"
"I usually buy something from the school bakery but you wanted to have lunch together so I decided not to, should I have not done that?"
"Yes! No! No, I mean yes! Aurgh!" She quickly went into her and pulled out a bento box and handed it to him. "I made you lunch." A light blush graced her cheeks as she held out the bento to him, unable to look him in the eyes. "The idea came to me this morning, so I was hoping you didn't have anything to eat, not that I wanted you to starve or anything."
"Thank you Ann." Ren accepted the bento, placing it in his lap. "You don't have to be so nervous you know, I'm sure it'll be delicious."
"Hey, I'm not nervous." She crossed her arms and pouted her cheeks, her own bento on her lap. He laughed a little, she couldn't help but drop the pout and smile. Ren just had a way that made her insecurities fade and her overactive mind settle.
…
"Thanks for the lunch Ann, it was delicious."
"It's not over yet…" Ren raised a brow as Ann dug into her bag once more, now producing a small white box. She smiled giddily as she placed it between them. Opening it, revealing the contents to be a white and pink frosted Strawberry Shortcake. "Tada! No lunch is complete without a little dessert."
Ren chuckled. "I thought you're supposed to have dinner before dessert?"
"There's no law saying that. If it were up to me I'd make it so that you'd have to eat dessert with every meal. Now let's dig… in?" She was only able to produce one spoon from her bag. Realization had dawned on her. "Oops, uh, guess I forgot the other spoon…"
"Not a problem." He carefully plucked the spoon and used it to dig into the cake. "We can just share it like this." He offered up the spoonful of cake to her, a small tilt of his head and a smile. Her confusion gave way to a blush, so they'd feed each other? This seemed like something straight out of a romance manga that she once read. She definitely wasn't against it but she could do less of having her cheeks feel as hot as a stove top.
Ann leaned in, nomming onto the spoon. She couldn't help but release a satisfied moan as her tongue swirled around the utensil, the frosting tasted sweeter than she imagined and the cake was so light with just enough spongy thickness. "Mmm~. So good~."
"I can tell." He said amused as he slowly retracted the spoon from her mouth.
She nodded her head, the sweetness already making her giddy. "You have to try some." She grabbed the spoon from him, refilling the utensil with the sweet and offered it to Ren. "Say, 'ah~.'" Ren bit onto the spoon, letting out a low moan of his own.
"You're right, this is really good."
They continued sharing spoonfuls, it had dawned on Ann that they were indirectly kissing, maybe that's why it tasted so much sweeter? Inevitably they'd finish the cake and the first bell signaling lunch was over chimed.
"I guess we should get going then." Ann stood up off the desk, having put away everything into her bag and adjusted said bag onto her shoulder. Before she could even make a step Ren had grabbed hold of her hand. "Huh? Something up?"
"You have some frosting on your cheek. Here, let me get that…" With his other hand, Ren gently brushed Ann's cheek and pulled back, pink frosting on his thumb. "There." He smiled and with a single lick he lapped up the frosting, Ann could only stare, face red, mouth slightly open.
How many times had that been, and just today too. Ren is always so cool, and he says and does some of the most smoothest things, he had her red like a rose and her legs wobbly like pudding. It's not like their relationship is a contest to make the other blush but dang it she wanted to at least break that constant cool look he always has. That's when she came up with an idea.
"O-oh. Thanks…" She looked away briefly, she was already having second thoughts. Come on Ann, just be bold! "Oh hey, you got some on you too…"
"I do?" He felt his right cheek, then his left, he looked at his hand but nothing.
"H-here…" She cupped both his cheeks, looking him straight in the eyes. "I-I'll get it for you…" She leaned in and kissed him, the sudden gesture alone caught Ren off guard but his eyes shot wide open when he felt Ann's tongue glide across his lips. The sensation caused a relexsive moan to escape his lips and Ann wasted no time in deepening their liplock. Her tongue asserting dominance, the taste of Strawberry Shortcake still fresh, this could become addictive, a new special flavor? Amamiya Shortcake? Strawberry Rencake? Maybe they should try doing this with different desserts? She pulled back, lightly panting as she looked at him, a strained of saliva forming a bridge between their lips. "T-there… I got it…" She couldn't help but smile, Ren's face was as red as the strawberries they had, his mouth was still agape, and his glasses were starting to fog up as if they were trying to hide his open eyes. She giggled, she said she was going to crack that cool expression of his and damn if she wasn't going to take pride in doing so.
"Come on! We don't want to be late to class." She led him by the sleeve back to the classroom, giggling to herself not caring who saw them. This was only the beginning of a loving relationship.
