Got a A.N after chapter -P.T.L.G--
The rocky path winds its way up Mt. Moon, the late afternoon sun casting dramatic shadows across the terrain. Potholes and small boulders litter the ground, making for challenging footing.
Pikachu hops along beside Ash, while Cynthia's Lucario keeps a watchful eye on their surroundings, its nostrils flaring as it catches the scent of wild Pokémon.
As they climb higher, the air grows cooler and thinner. Ash shivers slightly, pulling his jacket tighter around himself. "Getting chilly up here, Cynthia. Do you think we'll make it to the top before dark?"
Cynthia nods confidently. "We should be fine. Mt.Moon isn't that tall " she replies to Ash while studying the Mountainous peaks in the distance.
As they round a bend in the path, Ash spots a trainer standing by the side of the trail.
He looks up as the duo approaches, a friendly grin spreading across his face. "Hey there! Looks like I've got a couple of challengers here." He steps forward, extending a hand in greeting. "Name's Devin. I'm a Grass-type specialist. You two up for a battle?"
Ash exchanges a glance with Cynthia, who shrugs and smiles. "Sure, why not? I'm Ash, and this is my friend Cynthia. Ash sends out his Weedle, the red and yellow larval Pokémon appearing before him.
Devin looks at Ash's Weedle and sends out an Oddish.
"Weedle, I want you to use your Poison Sting against his Oddish.
Devin's Oddish ducks beneath Weedle's Poison Sting attack, the toxic needles flying harmlessly past. It quickly counterattacks with a Razor Leaf, the sharp grassy projectiles slicing through the air.
Weedle manages to dodge most of the attack, but a few leaves graze its segmented body, leaving minor cuts that start to ooze a yellowish substance.
"Nice dodge, Weedle!" Ash calls out encouragingly. "Now try to use your String Shot to entangle it!" Weedle nods in understanding, preparing to release its silky threads.
Weedle's String Shot hits Oddish squarely, enveloping the Grass-type Pokémon in a sticky web of silk threads.
Oddish struggles against the bonds, but Weedle's attack has completely immobilized it. Ash grins at the sight of his Pokémon's success.
"That's great work, Weedle! Now, let's see how Oddish handles this. Throw it up into the air!"Ash shoutsin command.
Weedle nods, scooping up the trapped Oddish and launching it skyward with a powerful heave of its head. The Grass-type Pokémon spins end over end as it soars upwards, before plummeting back down towards the rocky ground.
Weedle's aim is true, and Oddish crashes down hard, the impact jolting the small Pokémon and tearing the webs from its body. As Oddish staggers to its feet, Devin steps forward with a smile. "Impressive moves, Ash! I think you've got the edge here. I yield this match to you." He gives a thumbs up to his Oddish, which shakes off the rough landing and trots back to its trainer.
Ash grins at the victory, Weedle standing proudly beside him. "Thanks, Devin , It's always good to test my skills against other trainers."
After Oddish returns to its Pokéball, Devin smirks at Ash. "You did well against Oddish, but I'm curious to see how you handle my next Pokémon."
He reaches into his pack, withdrawing a Pokéball and tossing it onto the ground. It pops open with a puff of smoke, and a large, vined creature emerges.
Tangela's blue, vine-like tendrils obscure its face, with only a small opening revealing its eyes. Red boot-like feet poke out from beneath the vines as it stands to its full height, swaying slightly.
"Tangela, go! Use Vinewhip" Devin commands, the Grass-type Pokémon facing off against Ash.
Tangela's vines whip through the air, but Weedle manages to dodge by using its String Shot to launch itself into a nearby tree, the threads anchoring it to the trunk.
As Weedle climbs higher, Tangela's vines wrap around the base of the tree, causing it to sway dangerously. "Nice evasive maneuver, Ash!" Devin calls out, impressed by his opponent's quick thinking.
Tangela's vines continue their assault, striking the tree's lower branches in an attempt to dislodge Weedle.
Alright, Weedle, let's give your new move a try!" Ash calls out, sending his Weedle into action.
The yellow and red bug Pokémon launches itself off the branch, using its silky threads to propel it towards the ground.
As it descends, Weedle twists in the air, its rear segments curling inward to form a deadly spiked tail. With a swift movement, Weedle aims its Poison Tail at Tangela, striking the vined Pokémon squarely in its midsection.
The poisonous spikes pierce Tangela's blue tendrils, releasing a potent venom that begins to sicken the Grass-type.
"Oof! Not bad, Ash!"calls out Devin as his Tangela faints from the damage and poison.
When Devin recalls his Tangela battle he pauses Weedle's body emits a soft, pulsating glow. Its segments begin to fuse together, yellow and red giving way to a smooth, cocoon-like shell.
The transformation is gradual but unmistakable Weedle is evolving into Kakuna! The new Kakuna stands taller than before, its dome-shaped head and glowing white pupils evident even in its hardened form.
Devin looks on, clearly impressed by the evolution.
"That's amazing, Ash! Weedle evolved right in the middle of the battle."
Heh, not bad, Ash!" Devin smirks, acknowledging his victory with Kakuna. "But don't think you've seen the best of me yet. I've still got my strongest Pokémon left."
Devin reaches into his pack again, withdrawing another Pokéball . "Go Jumpluff" he says as he tosses a Pokeball .
He tosses it onto the ground, and it pops open with a burst of air.
Out floats a small, round Pokémon with blue fur, three large cotton puffs adorning its body - one on each arm and another on its head.
Jumpluff floats around eyeing Kakuna wearily.
Ash orders Kakuna to attack with Poison Sting, but Jumpluff easily dodges all the projectiles.
The Grass/Flying-type Pokémon uses its cotton puffs to float gracefully through the air, deftly avoiding each venomous barb launched by Kakuna.
"Heh, nimble little thing, isn't it?" Devin chuckles, watching Jumpluff's agile maneuvers. "I think it's time to turn the tables, Ash! Jumpluff, Cotton Spore!"
Jumpluff's head puff expands, releasing a barrage of cotton spores that drift through the air towards Kakuna.
The hardened bug Pokémon tries to avoid the spores, but several still make contact, embedding themselves into its shell-like body.
Ash seeing the spores embed themselves into Kakuna's shell and the pain its in is about to recall Kakuna.
But right before he is able to Kakunaunleashesa frustrated cry and it begins to vibrate .
Its cocoon-like exterior cracks and splinters.
Beedrill emerges from the broken shell, its yellow and black body glistening in the sunlight.
Two pairs of wings buzz furiously as it takes flight, while its stinger throbs with raw power. The newly evolved Beedrill lets out a battle cry, its frustrated energy from before now transformed into pure combat instinct.
"Whoa!" Devin exclaims, caught off guard by the unexpected evolution. "Two evolutions in one battle? You're something else, Ash!"
Ash looks at his Pokedex quickly to see what new moves Beedrill would have and tells the large vespine Pokemon to use Twinneedle.
Beedrill launches itself at Jumpluff, its twin stingers glinting in the sunlight. The bug-type Pokémon darts through the air with incredible speed, its wings a blur as it closes the distance.
The twin needles strike true, causing massive damage to Jumpluff's cottony body.
The Grass/Flying-type lets out a soft squeak before it faints, its puffs deflating slightly as it crumples to the ground.
"That's it! I win!" Ash declares triumphantly, his face flushed with pride. "And look at that - I've got a whole new Pokémon now! Beedrill, you were amazing!"
Devin quickly recalls his fainted Jumpluff.
He approaches Ash with a genuine smile, extending his hand for a handshake. "Well done, Ash! You've really proven yourself out there. I had no answer when you evolved Weedle and Kakuna like that."
He chuckles, shaking his head in amazement. "I'll definitely be on the lookout for you in the future. You're going to go far, I can tell. Take care of your new Beedrill - that's one powerful Pokémon you've got there now."
Ash and Cynthia continue their journey up the winding path leading to the Pokemon Center at the entrance of Mt. Moon. The sun hung low in the sky, casting a warm orange glow over the rocky path surrounding them.
Ash marveled at the vibrant colors of the clouds and the melodic chirping of Pokemon in the distance.
As they reached the top of the hill, the Pokemon Center came into view. The familiar white building with a red roof stood proudly, a beacon of safety and rest for trainers and their Pokemon.
Ash felt a wave of relief wash over him, knowing that his team could finally recuperate after the intense travel up the mountain.
"You know," Cynthia remarked as they approached the Center, "that was an impressive win back there."
Ash grinned sheepishly at Cynthia's praise. "Thanks! I guess I just used to thinking on my feet, especially when I'm up against someone as strong as you in our training battles ."
He runs a hand through his spiky hair, still flushed from the thrill of battle. "Sometimes I feel like I'm barely keeping up, you know? Like I'm always playing catch-up with these strategies and moves."
Ash glances at his Pikachu, who's perched on his shoulder, ears twitching attentively. "But I guess that's part of the journey, right? Becoming a Pokemon Master means you're always learning, always improving."
Cynthia nods approvingly, her long, blonde hair catching the fading sunlight.
As Ash and Cynthia enter the Pokemon Center, the familiar atmosphere of healing and comfort envelops them. Nurse Joy, her signature smile warm and welcoming, greets them at the front desk. "Welcome to the Pokemon Center, trainers! How may I assist you today?"
While Ash and Cynthia head to the desk to heal their Pokemon, the chatter of other trainers at the nearby tables grows louder.
"Did you hear about those Team Rocket goons?" one trainer mutters to his companion. "They've been spotted in the caves up ahead, causing all sorts of trouble."
The other trainer shudders. "I heard they're after some rare Pokemon or something. Who knows what they're really up to?"
Ash and Cynthia exchanged a look of concern as they overheard the trainers' conversation about Team Rocket's activities in the caves ahead.
Ash's brow furrowed with determination as he recalled his previous encounters with the nefarious organization.
"Looks like our journey just got a little more complicated," Cynthia remarked, her green eyes narrowing. "But if Team Rocket is involved, we can't just ignore it."
Ash nodded firmly, his hand instinctively moving to the Pokeball containing Mew . "You're right. I can't stand by and let them cause trouble, especially not in a place like this."
He turned to Nurse Joy, who had been quietly listening to their conversation.
"Excuse me, Nurse Joy are the rumors about Team Rocket true"Asks a concerned Ash.
Nurse Joy looks up from her desk, her smile turning slightly more serious as she senses the gravity of Ash's inquiry. "I'm afraid the rumors are true, Ash," she says, her voice low .
"Team Rocket has been spotted in the caves not far from here. We've had reports of them harassing trainers and even stealing some Pokemon."
She leans forward, her blue eyes meeting Ash's gaze intently. "The cave system is quite extensive, and they seem to be moving deeper into the mountains. I'm worried about what they might be after and the potential danger they pose to the local Pokemon and trainers."
Nurse Joy glances at Cynthia, acknowledging the capable trainer beside Ash.
"Be careful out there, both of you. Team Rocket is notorious for setting up ambushes and traps and using Pokemon that are more powerful than what most trainers expect. If you do decide to investigate, I strongly suggest you be prepared for the worst."
She pauses, her face softening with concern. "And please, if you encounter them, don't hesitate to return here immediately. Your safety and the safety of your Pokemon are paramount."
Cynthia's brow furrows as she considers Nurse Joy's warning. "We appreciate your concern, Nurse Joy, but Ash and I have dealt with Team Rocket before." She glances at Ash, a hint of pride in her eyes. "In fact, Ash was instrumental in helping the Nurse Joy at Viridian City fend off an attack by those troublemakers."
Ash nods, recalling the two encounters with the Rocket Grunts. "It was a close call, but we managed to protect the Pokemon Center and drive them out."
He squares his shoulders, a determined look settling on his face. "If Team Rocket is causing trouble here, we can't just stand by and let them continue unchecked."
Ash thanked Nurse Joy for the information and the healing of his Pokemon. He and Cynthia then departed from the Pokemon Center, stepping out into the crisp mountain air.
The towering peaks of Mt. Moon loomed before them, their granite faces shrouded in a light mist.
Cynthia stretched, her lithe form radiating an aura of confidence and skill. "Well, Ash, it looks like we have a mission ahead of us. Team Rocket won't know what hit them when we're through with them."
Ash grinned, his hand resting on the Pokeball containing Mew. "You're right, Cynthia. We've faced them before, and we can do it again."
Ash and Cynthia cautiously make their way into the caverns, their footsteps echoing off the rocky walls. The air grows colder as they ventured deeper, and the sound of dripping water fills their ears.
Ash takes out his Pokédex, the device illuminating the dark passageways.
"It's detecting a variety of Pokémon in here," Ash muttered, his eyes scanning the screen. "Geodude, Zubat, Machop... and something else. Hang on."
He paused, squinting at the data that was scrolling across the screen. "Cynthia, do you see this? The Pokédex is detecting some kind of strange energy signature deeper in the caves. It's unlike anything I've seen before."
Cynthia's face hardened, her hand moving to the Pokéball at her hip. "That energy signature is definitely concerning, Ash. I've never seen anything like it on a Pokédex before."
She quickened her pace, following the tunnel that led deeper into the mountain.
"Team Rocket could be up to something really dangerous here. We need to be prepared for anything,Ash" Cynthia warned.
As they rounded a corner, the air became noticeably colder, and an eerie, pulsating light could be seen in the distance. "Ash, I think we're getting close. Can you hear that humming sound?"
Ash listened intently, his hand tightening around his Pokédex. "I hear it."
The duo continues forward to a large cavernous room. They make their way to a large boulder and hid behind it.
Ash peered around the edge of the boulder, his eyes widening as he took in the scene before him. A group of Team Rocket Grunts were clustered around a massive, glowing meteorite. The rock emitted an otherworldly, pulsing light, casting eerie shadows on the cavern walls.
Ash turned to Cynthia, his voice barely above a whisper. "What do you make of that, Cynthia? I've never seen anything like that meteorite before."
Cynthia frowned, her brow furrowed in concentration as she studied the strange object. "I'm not sure, Ash. But whatever it is, it's clearly the source of that energy signature we were detecting." She paused, her gaze flicking back to the Grunts.
Cynthia's eyes narrowed as she spotted a striking figure in a purple coat directing the Rocket Grunts. "Ash, look there. That woman in charge - she looks familiar. I think I recognize her from some wanted posters from Team Rocket's activities in the region."
The woman's sharp commands echoed through the cavern, her red hair catching the pulsing light of the meteorite. "You fools, hurry up with the containment field! This specimen is too valuable to let slip away now that we've finally found it."
Ash's face showed his concern as he whispered, "Cynthia, what do you think is inside that meteorite?,it can't be good, right?"
Cynthia nodded, a determined look on her face as she turned to Ash. "I think you're right, Ash. They're definitely up to something shady with that meteorite. And I have a feeling it's not going to be good for any Pokémon involved."
She glanced around, gauging their options. "Okay, here's what we're going to do. I want you to send out Mew in its Abra form and Dratini. Keep them ready, but don't engage yet. We'll sneak up and confront that woman in charge directly. Catch them off guard and maybe we can find out what's really going on here."
Ash nodded, reaching for his Pokéballs.
Ash and Cynthia stealthily approached the meteorite, their Pokémon following closely behind.
The Grunts were so focused on their task that they didn't notice the group until Ash and Cynthia burst out from behind a large boulder, Mew , in his Abra form, and Dratini following behind.
"Hey! What's going on here?" Ash shouted, his face set in a stern glare. The Grunts jumped, startled by the sudden interruption, but the woman in the purple coat remained calm, turning to face the newcomers with a smirk.
"Well, well, well. What do we have here? Some nosy trainers sticking their noses where they don't belong." She stepped forward, her attention fixed on Ash and Cynthia.
The woman's eyes lit up with recognition as she focused on Cynthia. "Cynthia, the prodigy trainer from Sinnoh! Our boss has heard so much about you. Your strategies are truly impressive."
She extended her hand in a gesture of false friendliness. "My name is Arianna. I represent an organization that greatly desires your talent "
"Im sure we'd even have a spot for your boy toy he's got a Dratini after all and we could help you both become greater than you are now"she says as she gestures towards Ash, who instinctively moved closer to Cynthia, sensing the woman's insincerity.
"We have plans that could revolutionize the world of Pokémon , and with your power, we could make it happen."
Cynthia's eyes narrow as she regards Arianna suspiciously. "Your organization, you say? And who exactly is your boss? What's his stake in this?" She gestured towards the pulsing meteorite.
Arianna chuckled, a sound devoid of warmth. "Ah, I can't tell you his name, he us a great man the true power behind everything.
He's not just a boss, Cynthia - he's the most powerful trainer in the world. His vision extends far beyond the petty battles and badges you're used to." She waved a dismissive hand at the cavern. "This is merely the beginning. Soon, the world will see that Pokémon are meant for so much more than simple entertainment and competition."
Ash stepped forward, his voice firm with conviction."I bet he's just a coward who bullies people weaker than him ,No deal we don't want to follow a loser."
Arianna's face darkened, her smile twisting into a cold, calculating expression. "Careful, boy. Your arrogance will be your undoing." She turned to Cynthia. "You see, Cynthia? This is exactly why I need you. Someone with your skill and strategic mind, but without the... emotional attachments."
She gestured towards Ash, her words dripping with disdain. "Tell me, do you really think you can change the world by chasing after badges and making friends with every Pokémon you encounter?"
She stepped closer, her voice dropping to a near-whisper. "Or do you want to be part of something truly revolutionary?"
Cynthia's hand moved to her belt, ready to call out her Pokémon.
Arianna's face darkens, her composure slipping as she realized her recruitment pitch had failed. With a swift motion, she launched a Poké Ball, releasing a massive Ariados. The spider-like Pokémon's mandibles clacked ominously as it reared up, its yellow legs clicking against the stone floor.
Cynthia, seeing the threat, immediately called out her Garchomp. The draconic Pokémon burst from its Poké Ball, its claws glinting dangerously as it took to the battlefield.
"Cynthia, be careful!" Ash warned, backing away as the two powerful Pokémon faced off.
Arianna's eyes narrowed, focusing on the battle about to unfold.
" This is your last chance ,join us or else !" Arianna barks at Cynthia in a commanding voice.
Cynthia despite the serious situation smirks and looks at Ash and says " Ash has it right ,I don't want to follow some loser that hides in the shadows "
Arianna has a blank face then it contorts into something wrong her beautiful face twists into an ugly scowl.
"So be it then, I'll just defeat you and take your Pokemon and give them to the boss and he'll probably has a use for you either in private or in one of our brothels " Arianna smirks while looking Cynthia up and down.
Cynthia shakes her head in disgust saying "How pathetic , is that how you got promoted, by spreading your legs for this great boss" she finishes while saying the last two words with a mocking voice.
"And so pathetic, that he's moving on to a new woman because you're old news and you're okay with it " Cynthia shouts at the red haired woman across from her.
Arianna barked out a command, " Attack Ariados"and her Ariados lunged forward, injecting its poisonous fangs into the air where Garchomp had been a split second ago.
The massive dragon-type Pokémon had managed to dodge the attack with incredible agility, it's powerful legs propelling it's large body up into the air.
"Ariados, don't let it get away!" Arianna ordered, her face twisted in frustration. Her Pokémon reared up, mandibles clicking menacingly as it prepared for another attack. Cynthia's Garchomp roared defiantly, its arm blades glowing in the light of the cavern.
"I'm not going to let you hurt anyone else with your poison, you know that, right?"
Cynthia gave a sharp command"Slash, full power" and Garchomp swooped down with terrifying speed. Its razor-sharp claws sliced through the air, leaving a trail of light as they struck Ariados.
The spider-like Pokémon shrieked in pain as the slashing attack tore through its armored carapace, doing devastating damage.
Arianna's face contorted in shock as her prized Pokémon was forced to its knees, struggling to maintain consciousness. "No! Not like this!" she snarled, watching helplessly as Garchomp's attack left Ariados in a critical state.
With a final, pained screech, Ariados fainted, its body crumpling to the ground sending up a small dust cloud.
Arianna's face twisted with rage as she glared at Cynthia, her eyes flashing with barely contained fury. "You'll pay for that, you insolent girl!" she spat, hurling two Poké Balls in quick succession.
With a burst of purple smoke, a sinister-looking Gengar materialized, its round body adorned with spikes and its mouth curled in a wicked grin. Beside it, an Arbok emerged, its purple scales glistening as it hissed menacingly, fangs bared.
"Gengar, use Confuse Ray " Arianna commanded, pointing a slender finger at Cynthia's Garchomp.
As Garchomp was focused on the purple beam moving towards it Arbok slithered into the dark shadows and moved towards Garchomp.
Garchomp's moved furiously as it dodged the Confuse Ray, but Arbok had already struck. The massive serpent's fangs sank deep into Garchomp's leg, drawing a pained roar from the dragon-type Pokémon. Blood trickled down Garchomp's scales as it tried to shake off its attacker.
Arianna's lips curled into a cruel smile as she watched her Arbok's successful attack. "That's it, my pet. Keep that overgrown lizard occupied while Gengar takes care of the rest." She turned her attention to the ghost-type Pokémon, her words laced with malice. "Gengar, use shadow ball."
Cynthia's smirk fades as she witnesses the vicious attack on her beloved Garchomp.
Her eyes flashed with determination as she raised her hand, calling out a commanding phrase. "Garchomp, Mega Evolve!"
The dragon Pokémon let out a mighty roar as its body began to shimmer and change. Scales shifted and reformed, growing larger and more brilliant. Horn-like appendages on its body elongated, becoming more pronounced. The wings expanded, the fins growing sharper and more menacing. Garchomp's power and speed visibly increased, radiating a new level of ferocity.
"Arianna, you've made a grave mistake underestimating me and my Pokémon," Cynthia declared, her voice steady and filled with confidence.
Garchomp shakes its body violently, managing to dislodge Arbok from its leg. The serpent flew through the air, directly into the path of Gengar's Shadow Ball.
The ghostly energy engulfed Arbok, sending it crashing to the ground in a dazed heap. Gengar's eyes widened in shock, clearly not expecting such an outcome.
"Arianna, I must commend you on your strategic thinking," Cynthia said, her voice calm despite the intensity of the battle. "However, your Pokémon simply cannot match the power of my Mega-Evolved Garchomp."
With a mighty roar, Garchomp lunges forward, its razor-sharp claws slashing through the air with incredible speed.
Garchomp's massive claws slashed through the air, connecting with both Arbok and Gengar. The ghost-type Pokémon tried to dodge, but was caught in the attack's radius.
The impact sent both Pokémon flying backwards, directly into a row of machinery. The collision caused a chain reaction, with sparks flying and smoke billowing as the equipment exploded one by one.
Arianna's face contorts in horror as she watched the destruction of expensive equipment. "No! What have you done?" she shrieked, her composure finally cracking. Both Arbok and Gengar lay motionless among the smoking ruins, having fainted from the devastating impact.
Arianna's hands shook slightly as she frantically called back Arbok and Gengar.
"Retreat! Now!" she commanded, pulling out a small remote control. With a click, a series of explosions erupts around the entrance to the corridor, creating a smokescreen and sending debris flying.
The blast is powerful enough to knock both Ash and Cynthia back, temporarily disorienting them.
"My boss will hear about this!" Arianna shouted over the chaos, her words laced with rage and desperation. "And mark my words, he'll make you pay for this interference!"
With that, she disappears into the shadows of the corridor, leaving behind only the echoes of her threats and the smoke.
After the smoke clears, Ash and Cynthia slowly get back to their feet, brushing off the dust and debris.
They survey the scene before them, taking in the destruction of the equipment and the lingering haze from the explosions.
As the smoke dissipates, a disturbing sight came into view—several cages lining the walls of the cavern, each one containing a frightened Pokémon.
"Cynthia, look at this..." Ash muttered, his voice heavy with concern as he approached one of the cages. Inside, a small Rattata trembled, its eyes wide with fear. The cage next to it held a Pidgey, its wings fluttering weakly against the bars.
Ash approached the cages, his heart heavy with the sight of the imprisoned Pokémon.
He carefully unlocked the first one, releasing the Rattata. The small rodent scurried out, looking around warily before disappearing into a crack in the cavern wall.
Ash then freed the Pidgey, watching as it flew up and out of the cave, soaring towards the open sky.
As he turned to the remaining cages, Ash's eyes widened at the sight of the Pokémon within. One cage held two Clefairy, their pink bodies pressed close together as they huddled in fear.
Another contained a Charmander, its small flame flickering weakly at the tip of its tail.
The third and final cage contained a Pokémon that Ash had never seen before a small purple ghost-type with several pink orbs forming a necklace.
Holding out his Pokedex it identified it as a Misdreavus.
Ash unlocked the cage containing the two Clefairy. The pink Pokémon huddled close together, trembling in fear as the door swung open.
Ash gently reached in, speaking softly to reassure them. "It's alright, little ones. You're safe now." He carefully scooped them up, cradling them close to his chest as they peeked out nervously.
Moving to the next cage, Ash freed the Charmander. The young Fire-type Pokémon looked up at Ash with wide, frightened eyes. Its flame flickered weakly, a sign of its distress. "Hey there, buddy," Ash said softly, holding out his hand. "Want to come with me? I promise I'll take good care of you."
Charmander cries and runs away to a corner where Ash and Cynthia see a horrible sight ,laying on the ground dead is a blue-haired teenager that Charmander is trying to nudge awake.
Ash starts as he notices the trainers and runs off to a trashcan and throws up into it.
Cynthia seeing this comes over and pats him on the back and "Ash is this your first time seeing death? It's never easy " She pauses with a far-off look on her face .
Ash shakes his head "No it's not that ,my dad died when I was younger...it's the fact that I know him"
Cynthia looks shocked and asked who he was and Ash responded grimly with tears falling down his face" His name was Damian he was a jerk but he didn't deserve death"
While Cynthia stays by the Clefairy Ash heads over to the Misdreavus and ask if it was Damian's Pokémon.
The ghost-type shakes it's head and flies to one of Ash's Pokeballs and presses the button capturing itself.
Ash goes over to the Charmander and says with a determined voice "Charmander I know it's soon but if you want to come with me I'll train you up to be the strongest Charizard ever so we can punish Team Rocket for all their evil deeds."
Charmander looks at Ash's face and after a few seconds he nods and allows Ash to capture him as well.
The two Clefairy look at the trainers and speak telepathically to them explaining that they are qsiblings and were planning to leave the mountain to explore the outside world before they were captured by Team Rocket.
The female Clefairy points at Cynthia while the brother does likewise with Ash .
The duo gets the message and capture the two Clefairy.
The two trainers bury Damian and take his wallet to give to his family and leave the cavern and head towards the mountain exit slowly with sadness written all over their faces.
The sunrise painted the sky in brilliant shades of orange and pink as Ash and Cynthia emerged from Mt. Moon. The cool morning air felt refreshing after the stuffy confines of the cavern. Cynthia gently patted Ash on the shoulder, her face showing pride and concern. "That was a close one, Ash. You handled yourself well back there."
Ash smiled softly, his gaze fixed on the horizon. "Thanks, Cynthia. I'm just glad we could help those Pokémon."
" I'm just sad we couldn't help Damian before..." Ash can't continue here since he brakes down into sobs with tears cascading down his face.
Cynthia takes Ash into a hug and whispers into his ear" Ash just remember one thing ,while it may seem dark at times a new day will always dawn eventually "
Ash wipes his tears away as he looks into the beautiful sunrise and says " I see what you mean Cynthia "

A.N
Yeah well I decided to give Cynthia her time to shine a bit I know ahe kinda felt like Ash's groupie for the earlier chapters more than her own character.
--
Yep that's the Charmander from Ash's anime team.
--
Weedle evolving so fast matches with the anime and games his Caterpie evolves into Butterfree in like an episode and a half so ...
--
I know this chapters is definitely darker than earlier chapters but I felt it appropriate to set up Team Rocket as an EVIL criminal organization..they mainly deal with Pokemon based crimes lke stealing Pokemon for their own use or selling on the black Market.
But they also do other crimes like running casinos (like gen 1 games) drug running/ smuggling and yes prostitution probably including normal human and probably a unground Market for poke lovers( which is illegal as fuc in this universe)
They do try not to kill people because if they anger the population enough to get the league to move against them they would be destroyed pretty much instantly but they aren't completely against it .
--
Don't worry tho this Legendary journey won't be that dark that often --
