Yes, I am working on this as well. Yes, I have had this in my plans; Same Universe... just without Ben; it will be mainly one-shot chapters.

EXTRA! Bounties Around! (Robin's POV)

Leaving Alabasta wasn't joyful for her new crew!

Nico Robin never met their lookout and from the sight that greeted them when they got to their ship she probably never would... the doctor broke down in tears when he found his brother's coat. It was almost buried under the sand that accumulated from whatever happened. Robin wanted to ask whose coat it was but they were in a hurry.

The docks looked like a nightmare had come and left... Luffy stood shocked before grabbing Chopper and the coat, they had to leave too quickly... too fast to morn the loss of a crew member, but when they hit open waters leaving Alabasta tears flowed from Luffy who wrapped his arms around Chopper... they cried together until night came, Luffy didn't eat for a while... it scared their cook... who wasn't even the same for a while.

Nico Robin had found Luffy hunched over on his special seat after they had escaped capture once again... they escaped just and no more; she tried to shake the Captain from his funk, but he hadn't... It scared her just a little, took speaking to their cook Sanji again to learn why... and when he took her to their lookout's post where the lookout slept, she knew why.

Plastered to the wall was a faded picture... it was Bounty, it looked like it was drenched in seawater and looked like it was scrunched up in a ball but somehow it was here stuck up on the wall as it belonged.

¬Dead Eye's Ben¬ was the words that greeted Nico Robin's eyes, as well as the picture of their lookout Ben; who was covered in blood as from as much as Robin could tell.. but it was the amount of Berries that gave Robin slight pause accompanied his bounty plastered below his epithet was the highest bounty a Pirate had ever gotten... Not even her bounty was that high at first... -5.5 Billion Berries- the only other thing that gave Robin more pause was how the Bounty had the Exempt scamped over the Marine logo... how was that possible Robin wondered, took talking to the sniper Usopp to know more...

According to Usopp's "lies" Usopp said Ben had appeared at the Baratie and took down a Pirate called Kreig and stuck around with the Straw Hat Crew after that.

Zoro confirmed the story when she couldn't get anything from Luffy who was still in his world not eating from what she could tell...

Took some doing but their navigator Nami told her everything; how Ben had saved her from Arlong... by killing the Shark Fishman like he was nothing but an ant to him.

Finally after much crying she learned that towards their doctor; Chopper, Ben was a brother who saw him as more than a monster.

Chopper told Robin much about how Drum Island had been raided by a pirate crew who scared away their former and horrible king Wapol, who returned when Nami was sick and wanted to kill everyone in sight... then Robin learned that Ben was a true monster and Chopper was nothing but a cute little racoon/deer thing... well at least to her.

As Robin took her seat at the table in the kitchen; she hoped that this night their captain would join them for a meal, but still he sat on his perch not moving.

Took a couple of days for Luffy to finally move, he left his seat after hearing a flittering of wings and shifted his gaze upwards... Took Robin looking up and fluttering down to the sky was the picture of Ben's bounty updated to mark him off as a deceased pirate.

It was a sight to see when Luffy came out of his funk

They had landed on the island, it wasn't long before that something had caught Luffy's attention.

Robin was talking to some locals on this island when out of the blue Chopper slugged a Marine in the face so hard that it sent the rest of the marines around Chopper back with a jump. Chopper had grown to a semi-massive size and he was hunched over a marine that was bleeding from his wound that Chopper had given him.

Robin had looked over Chopper who was wearing the coat, his brother's coat and he didn't even know it, he was standing snarling over the already dead marine who mocked the coat that Chopper had taken to carrying around with him.

They had to leave after that, but then they had to return because the log didn't settle; was okay to Robin though, they did have to update Chopper's bounty.

The marine that Chopper had killed was an up-and-coming lieutenant so his bounty was fast-tracked. ¬True Monster¬ sat proudly on his new bounty, they even got a good picture of Chopper, when Luffy heard them talking about Ben it took him no time until he led the crew to begin raiding the Marine HQ; Luffy heard from marines that he had pinned under Zoro's swords that it was his 'Gramps' that had beaten Ben at Alabasta.

Luffy had broken mostly everything but the bounty papers and the snail that helped make them, when Luffy saw Chopper's bounty he added Ben's last name to Chopper's bounty, who agreed sniffling into the sleeve of his brother's jacket. The crew had left after making sure that this updated bounty of Chopper's would be printed instead of their pitiful attempt.

That's when Robin realised that she could enjoy being in this crew... only if she could have had more time with them... after meeting with a nightmare from her past, the Ice Man Aokiji stood on an island where the crew had a mild Davy Back Fight on.

Luffy won easily, but then Aokiji arrived and sent Robin back into her dark mindscape; took Luffy fighting him to let the rest of the crew escape to let Robin relax for a while... but it didn't last long...

It was Water 7 where Robin's dark mindset came back, the CP9 had given her a choice. Leave with them or let the Straw Hat Crew die with her... she chose the only option that made sense to her... she sacrificed herself.
