Welcome to the archive: Been playing through the original Gears of War trilogy and this just popped up during my writing binge.
The Slayer smashed his mace down onto the bipedal scaled creature. Blood spurted from the now crushed creature before the Slayer spun around and kicked away another that had revved up a chainsaw bayonet. The Slayer allowed his mace to disappear back to the hammerspace his other weapons resided and revved up his chainsaw shield before hurling it forward. The shield buzzed through the air and then came into contact with the large group of drones attempting to come through a door.
The shield cut directly through the group and then bounced off the back of the room it had went into. Soon it was back in the Slayer's hand and was used to smack a smaller creature that had jumped at him. Then in his other hand appeared the Super Shotgun.
The Slayer shot the creature which exploded into gory bits before twirling the repeater double barrel to reload. He then pointed the Super Shotgun toward a much larger creature wielding a large weapon.
"Boom-" Before it could shoot the weapon the Slayer interrupted it with the boom of the Super Shotgun. The creature's upper body turned to gory chunks and the shells ejected out the back of the shotgun. He looked around and found no other creature coming for him.
The Slayer growled in his throat before stomping forward. Intent on finding out where he ended up and getting back to Argent D'nur.
