Team Skull meets Kalani
After Lincoln passed his Grand Trial against Kahuna Olivia, he, along with his family and friends, except Kiawe who was giving Chandler his Wela Volcano Park Island Trial; all call for some Ride Charizards, and fly them over to the Poke Pelago.
Once there, they first go to the Isle Abeens, and Lynn shakes the giant beanstalk, making lots of PokeBeans fall to the ground; after picking up their harvest, they head over to the Isle Aphun where Lincoln gives the Pokemon currently not on his team at the moment some of the PokeBeans he just got, and has them explore the mine.
"How do you think Chandler's doing on his Island Trial?" asked Shiloh.
"Don't care." said Lynn.
"Probably giving Kiawe a hard time." said Shane.
"Let's go over and check on them." said Lincoln.
The group gets back on the Ride Charizards, and fly to the bottom of Wela Volcano Park's mountain where they see Chandler and Kiawe coming down the trail towards them.
"Hey, Kiawe." said Sophocles.
"Hey, everyone." said Kiawe with a look of frustration on his face.
"Hey, babe." Chandler says to Lillie as he runs over and rest his arm on her shoulder. "Did you miss me?" Lillie cringes at the physical contact between her and the dirtbag.
"Did you pass your trial, Chandler?" asked Lincoln.
"Check it out." Chandler replied as he holds out his Firium-Z Crystal.
"Wow, that's so great." Lynn sarcastically said.
"It took him seven tries just to get past the first part of it." said Kiawe as he massages his temples.
"How did he even pass at all?" asked Shelby. Chandler looks away with a smirk as he remembers how he passed his trial.
Flashback:
"Man, this is hard!" said Chandler after failing a seventh time.
"I need a break." said Kiawe.
"Me, too." said Chandler.
While Kiawe goes off to get away from the Chandler, he takes out his device and uses it to bring up the video of Lincoln's Wela Volcano Park Island Trial.
"Let's see what Larry did to pass." Chandler says before he watches the video, seeing and listening to Lincoln's answers; a few minutes later, Kiawe returns.
"Ready to try again?" Kiawe asked Chandler.
"Yeah, and I got a feeling I'll pass this time." Chandler replied.
"We'll see." said Kiawe. A few minutes later, Chandler was getting through the trial, thanks to what he learned from Lincoln's trial attempt, and passes his Island Trial... dishonestly.
End of flashback:
"I just put all my thought into it." said Chandler.
"How do you put something you don't have into something else?" asked Shelby with a grin.
"Whatever." said Chandler. "I passed, and that's all that matters."
"Yeah, well, Lincoln passed his Grand Trial on his first try." said Shiloh.
"I'll bet Olivia was a pushover." said Chandler with a smirk.
"Kahunas are no pushovers." said Lincoln.
"Whatever." said Chandler. Some thunder in the distance gets everyone's attention, making them look to the west and see dark clouds heading their way.
"Looks like a storm is coming." said Kiawe.
"Let's hurry back to Melemele Island and get back to our homes and hotel rooms." said Shane.
"Good idea." said Lynn.
"I gotta head back to Heahea City and get a boat back!" said Chandler as he starts running off towards his destination.
"Think he'll make it before the storm hits?" asked Mallow.
"Doubt it." said Lynn.
"He'll probably get soaked by the rain." said Alola Lana.
"We can only hope." said Shelby.
"Let's get some Ride Charizards and fly back to Hau'oli City." said Lincoln.
While Lincoln and his friends and family, as well as Chandler, were making their way back to Melemele Island; back on Akala Island in the Lush Jungle, Team Skull was there, with Tupp looking around.
"There's gotta be a strong Pokemon around here somewhere!" said Tupp.
"Why do you want one so bad?" asked Zipp.
"I'm sick of losing to that white-haired runt and his friends!" said Tupp.
"Don't insult my cutie!" shouts Rapp as she glares at her associate, making him flinch.
"W-Whatever." said Tupp. As he looks around, he and his friends spot Kalani and her Hawlucha, both staring down a Pinsir.
"Who's that?" asked Zipp.
"Don't know." said Tupp. They all watch Kalani as she gets ready to battle the Pinsir.
"Hawlucha, use Wing Attack!" said Kalani. Her Hawlucha moves forward at incredible speed and slashes the Pinsir with one of its wings, knocking it out.
"Whoa, that Hawlucha is strong!" said Zipp, getting Kalani's attention.
"Who are you?" Kalani asked Team Skull who walk over to her.
"We're the toughest street gang in Alola; Team Skull!" said Tupp as he does a pose.
"Never heard of you." Kalani replied, making Tupp do a faceplant.
"Do you live under a rock?!" asked Tupp.
"No, I'm just too focused on training for the Pokemon Battle Royale Tournament that's taking place in over a month." said Kalani.
"Well, we're looking for some strong Pokemon, and your Hawlucha looks tough." said Tupp.
"Yeah, so hand it over!" said Rapp.
"No." said Kalani.
"Funny, but you sound like you think you have a choice." said Tupp as he takes out a pokeball and tosses it, releasing his Salandit.
"I doubt you'll be a challenge." said Kalani; she turned towards her Hawlucha. "You want to take this Salandit on, Hawlucha?" Hawlucha nods in response and jumps in front of Kalani before striking a pose. "Hawlucha, Hone Claws!" Hawlucha's claws glowed red and an orange aura surrounds its body; its attack strength increases.
"Salandit, use Scratch!" said Tupp. Salandit leaps at Hawlucha while raising one its hands to claw Hawlucha with.
"Detect!" said Kalani. Hawlucha's eyes glowed light blue and it dodges Salandit's attack. "Aerial Ace!" Hawlucha flies at Salandit while white streaks surrounds its body and it rams into it, knocking it out.
"No way!" shouts Tupp.
"Just as I thought; not worthy of battling me." said Kalani. Just then, the sound of thunder gets everyone's attention, making them look up as it starts to rain.
"Man, I'm gonna get soaked!" said Tupp. They all look around and see a large tree with an opening in it; they run over and head inside to shelter themselves from the storm.
Meanwhile, on Melemele Island, Lincoln, Lynn, and their cousins just made it into the hotel lobby just as the rain came pouring down.
"That was close." said Shelby. The door opens up, and a dripping-wet Chandler enters.
"I was this close." said Chandler as he holds his thumb and index fingers together.
"What's that? How close you were to getting in here before the rain started, or the size of your brain?" asked Lynn.
"Nah, that's too big to be his brain." said Shiloh.
"Watch it!" said Chandler.
"Let's just go to our rooms and hang out until it stopped raining." said Lincoln.
"Yeah, I could use a hot shower." said Chandler.
"Didn't you just have one?" asked Shelby with a grin, making her siblings and cousins chuckle.
"I said a 'hot shower'!" said Chandler.
While the Louds and Chandler go to their hotel rooms, Team Skull and Kalani were still in the tree, waiting out the storm.
"How long is it going to keep raining?" asked Zipp.
"Who knows?" asked Rapp. Tupp glares at Kalani who wasn't really paying any attention to them.
"You're a strong trainer, but you just got lucky against me." Tupp says to Kalani.
"Luck's for people with no real talent." said Kalani. "And from what I've seen, you need all that you can get."
"Whatever." said Tupp. "Wanna join our gang?"
"Nah, I prefer to be myself." said Kalani. "Although, I wouldn't mind having my cutie by my side."
"You have a cutie?" asked Rapp. "What is he like?"
"I don't know how strong he is as a trainer, but he's very observant." said Kalani. "He's seen me with and without my mask on, and he was able to tell it was me when I wasn't wearing it."
"Well, my cutie is a strong trainer." said Rapp as she trembles with delight. "He once saved me from falling into a chasm when I fell into it... after my friends here abandoned me!"
"We thought you were still behind us!" said Tupp.
"Anyway, me, Tupp, and Zipp haven't been able to defeat him in a battle, but I don't care, he's still my little cutie." said Rapp as she giggles with glee.
"He sounds strong, but I still like my guy." said Kalani.
"That's okay with me." said Rapp.
"Girls and their crushes." Tupp and Zipp say to each other, making Rapp and Kalani glare at them.
"Got a problem with that?" asked Rapp while Kalani cracked her knuckles.
"N-N-No." said Tupp and Zipp in unison.
Team Skull waited an hour before the rain finally stops, allowing them to leave their shelter.
"I thought it would never end." said Tupp.
"Don't be a baby." said Kalani.
"Whatever." said Tupp.
"So what are you gonna do now?" asked Kalani.
"I'm still looking for some strong Pokemon to challenge some guys that have been giving us trouble." said Tupp.
"Well, don't touch mine." said Kalani as she glares at Tupp, making him nervous.
"When I find a strong one and catch it, I'm going to challenge that kid again!" said Tupp.
"Yeah, you'll show him, Tupp." said Zipp.
"But I still get him to myself after you're done." said Rapp.
"Maybe I'll see my cutie soon also." said Kalani.
"Hope you do." said Rapp. "And I hope my cutie's friends and family don't get in my way."
"My cutie's travelling with his friends and family also." said Kalani.
"Yeah, one of my cutie's friends is some green-haired girl who's always getting between me and him." said Rapp with a growl.
"My cutie's travelling with a green-haired girl who didn't want me touching him also." said Kalani. A smirk forms under Tupp's mask.
"Wait a second." said Tupp. "Is your 'cutie' a boy with white hair named Lincoln by any chance?" Rapp's eyes narrow at the question.
"Yeah, that's him." said Kalani with a blush. Suddenly, she was shoved to the ground by Rapp.
"Lincoln's my cutie!" said Rapp.
"No way!" said Kalani as she gets up and walks over to Rapp until she was in her face.
"Yeah, so don't you touch him!" said Rapp.
"I'll do whatever I want!" said Kalani. "Like how last week I was lying right on top of him when he was just wearing swim trunks, nuzzling his cheek, kissing a trail down his chin..."
"WHAT?!" Rapp angrily replied before she leaps at Kalani, only for the Hawlucha trainer ducks under her attempted grab and lifts her up over her head.
"So you wanna look good for MY cutie?!" asked Kalani as she looks around and sees a large puddle of thick mud that the rain just made. "How about a mud bath to cleanse the pores on your skin?!"
"Don't you dare!" said Rapp as Kalani carried her over to the mud puddle and throws her into it.
"How did that feel?!" asked Kalani. Rapp, who was covered head-to-toe in mud, stands up, wipes some of it off her face, and walks over to Kalani.
"Here's mud in your eye!" said Rapp as she scoops some mud off her, and smears it in Kalani's face, then wiping some off onto her leotard as well.
"Big mistake." said Kalani before she and Rapp start having a catfight while rolling around on the ground.
"Should we do something?" asked Zipp.
"I'm not getting in between those two." said Tupp as he watches the two girls continue fighting.
Half an hour later, Tupp and Zipp were dragging a muddy, bruised Rapp; away from a muddy, slightly bruised, Kalani.
"I better not catch you touching my cutie!" said Rapp.
"Back at you, hussy!" said Kalani.
"Who are you calling a hussy; hussy?!" Rapp asked her new rival for Lincoln.
"The girl who wants my boy!" said Kalani.
"HE'S MINE!" shouts Rapp as she attempts to break free of Tupp and Zipp's grasps.
"Let's just go!" said Tupp as he and Zipp drag Rapp out of the forest.
Back in Hau'oli City, the Louds and Chandler were in their rooms, hanging out.
"Looks like the rain's dying down." said Lincoln.
"Good." said Lynn. "I don't like being cooped up inside."
"Me, neither." said Shiloh.
"Wanna go get something to eat?" asked Lincoln.
"Sure, it's almost dinnertime." said Shane.
"Let's go to Mallow's family's restaurant." said Lincoln.
"Bet you can't wait to see her." said Lynn with a grin, making Lincoln smile and blush.
Team Skull has just met Kalani, and a rivalry has been made between her and Rapp. What else will happen as the Louds' Alola adventure continues?
Meanwhile, back in Rapp's room, after she was done taking a shower; she was finishing a new drawing of Kalani with zits and stink lines coming out of her; she then puts it on her dartboard.
"That girl better stay away from my Linky." muttered Rapp before she throws a dart at the Kalani drawing.
