Circhester Gym Battles (Part Three)
"Exploud, use Fire Fang!" said Luna. Exploud leaps at Avalugg while fire covered his mouth and he bites onto Avalugg, dealing super effective damage, and knocking Avalugg out. "Way to go, Exploud." Avalugg's trainer returns Avalugg to its pokeball.
"Good battle." said Avalugg's trainer.
"Thanks, dude." replied Luna. After Avalugg's trainer gives Luna pokedollars; she returns Exploud to his pokeball and she picks up the Trap Detector and continues going through the third area of the Test Area. After a minute, she finds her way to the end. She gives an official the Trap Detector and goes up a flight of stairs; upon reaching the top, smoke shoots up from both sides of the platform she was on, indicating she passed the Gym Test.
"She did it!" said Simon Sharp who was watching back in Royal Woods.
"She fell down a couple of pitfalls, but in the end, she made it." said Rita.
"Now all she has to do is defeat Melony." said Luan.
"And it's badge number six for her." said Lynn Jr. Back in Circhester Stadium, Luna and Melony were standing on opposite sides of the battle arena while an official stood in the center while Luna's siblings and friends watched.
"This gym battle will be between the Gym Leader Melony and the challenger, Luna Loud." said the official. "Each trainer will use four Pokemon. Whichever trainer is able to defeat all their opponent's Pokemon will be the winner. Let the match begin!" The official walks off the field while Luna and Melody each pull out a pokeball.
"Frosmoth, go!" said Melony, throwing Frosmoth's pokeball and releasing it.
"Melony's first Pokemon is her Frosmoth; what will Luna bring out first?" asked the announcer.
"Gigalith, time to rock!" said Luna, throwing Gigalith's pokeball and releasing her.
"Luna answers my question by bringing out a Gigalith." said the announcer.
"Frosmoth, use Aurora Beam!" said Melony. Frosmoth fires a multicolored beam of energy at Gigalith, hitting her, and weaknening her attack strength.
"Gigalith, use Stealth Rock!" said Luna. Gigalith releases beams of white energy from her body and they land on Melony's side of the field, turning into pointed rocks.
"Now any Pokemon Melony summons will get damaged by those rocks." said Lincoln.
"Frosmoth, use Icy Wind!" said Melony. Frosmoth flaps its wings and releases a strong wind with sparkling blue snow in them at Gigalith, hitting her, dealing damage to her, and lowering her speed.
"Gigalith, use Rock Slide!" said Luna. Gigalith becomes surrounded by white energy; large gray rocks form above Frosmoth and they fall onto it, dealing super effective damage, and making it flinch. "Now use Rock Blast!" The crystals on Gigalith's body glowed and gray rocks form in front of them; they fly at Frosmoth, hitting it, and knocking it out.
"Frosmoth is unable to battle. Gigalith wins the match." said the official.
"Luna's Gigalith has beaten Melony's Frosmoth; what will she do now?" asked the announcer.
"Way to go, Lunes!" said Sam.
"Go, Luna!" said Lana. Melony returns Frosmoth to its pokeball.
"You did well, Frosmoth." said Melony. She puts Frosmoth's pokeball away and pulls out another one. "Darmanitan, go!" She tosses Darmanitan's pokeball and releases it.
"Melony brings out her Darmanitan; can it beat Luna's Gigalith?" asked the announcer. The gray rocks from Gigalith's Stealth Rock floats up and flies into Darmanitan, dealing damage to it.
"Darmanitan, use Icicle Crash!" said Melony. Darmanitan releases a wind with blue sparkles from its mouth above Gigalith; icicles falls from above and it hits Gigalith, dealing damage to her.
"Gigalith, use Rock Slide!" said Luna. Gigalith glows white and gray rocks appeared above Darmanitan; they fall onto it, dealing super effective damage to it. Darmanitan's Zen Mode ability activates and it changes into its Zen Mode Form.
"Darmanitan, use Avalanche!" said Melony. Darmanitan glows light blue and dark clouds form above Gigalith; large chunks of ice fall from them and onto Gigalith, dealing damage.
"Gigalith, use Ancient Power!" said Luna. Gigalith becomes surrounded by silver energy; it forms into a ball and she launches it at Darmanitan, dealing super effective damage, and knocking it out.
"Darmanitan is unable to battle. Gigalith wins the match." said the official.
"Luna's Gigalith has beaten Melony's Frosmoth; can it beat Melony's remaining two Pokemon?" asked the announcer.
"Yeah, go, Luna!" cheered Simon Sharp.
"She's doing great!" said Rita.
"Luna's got this." said Lynn Jr. Back at Circhester Stadium, Melony returns Darmanitan to its pokeball.
"You rest now, Darmanitan." said Melony. She puts Darmanitan's pokeball away and pulls out another pokeball. "Eiscue, go!" She tosses Eiscue's pokeball and releases it.
"Melony's third Pokemon is her Eiscue; can it beat Luna's Gigalith?" asked the announcer. Gray rocks float up from the arena floor and crashes into Eiscue, damaging it.
"Eiscue, use Powder Snow!" said Melony. Eiscue releases powdered snow from its body and it hits Gigalith, damaging her and encasing her in ice.
"Oh man; Gigalith's frozen!" said Lincoln.
"Well she better get unfrozen!" said Lola.
"Gigalith, try to get free!" said Luna.
"Eiscue, use Freeze-Dry!" said Melony. Eiscue releases a cold air from its body and it hits Gigalith, dealing enough damage to knock her out.
"Gigalith is unable to battle. Eiscue wins the match." said the official.
"Melony's Eiscue has beaten Luna's Gigalith; what will Luna do now?" asked the announcer.
"So much for Gigalith making a clean sweep in this gym battle." said Lynn Jr.
"She can still turn this around." said Lori.
"She still has three Pokemon left." said Rita.
"She c-can still win!" said Lynn Sr. Back at Circhester Stadium, Luna returns Gigalith to her pokeball.
"You were rockin, Gigalith." said Luna. She puts Gigalith's pokeball away and pulls out another one. "Sharpedo, go!" She throws Sharpedo's pokeball and releases him.
"Luna's second Pokemon is a Sharpedo." said the announcer.
"Sharpedo, use Crunch!" said Luna. Sharpedo flies at Eiscue and bites it; its Ice Face shatters, leaving its regular head in its place, as well as preventing it from taking damage.
"At least with that Ice Face ability used up, Sharpedo can do physical damage to Eiscue." said Lincoln.
"Eiscue, use Freeze-Dry!" said Melony. Eiscue releases a cold air from its body and it hits Sharpedo, dealing super effective damage.
"Sharpedo, use Night Slash!" said Luna. Sharpedo flies at Eiscue while dark energy surrounds one of his fins and he slashes Eiscue with it, dealing damage.
"Eiscue, use Headbutt!" said Melony. Eiscue leaps at Sharpedo and rams its head against him. Eiscue lands on the ground and rubs its head with its flippers. "What's wrong, Eiscue?"
"My Sharpedo's Rough Skin ability, that's what's wrong." replied Luna. "Any Pokemon that attacks him physically takes damage. Now, Sharpedo, use Slash!" Sharpedo flies at Eiscue and slashes it with its top fin, damaging it.
"Eiscue, use Freeze-Dry!" said Melony. Eiscue releases a cold air from its body and it hits Sharpedo, dealing super effective damage.
"Sharpedo, Aqua Jet!" said Luna. Sharpedo becomes surrounded by water and he flies at Eiscue, ramming it, and knocking it out.
"Eiscue is unable to battle. Sharpedo wins the match." said the official.
"Luna's Sharpedo has beaten Melony's Eiscue; now Melony is down to her final Pokemon." said the announcer.
"You're doing great, Luna!" said Leni.
"Just one more Pokemon to go!" said Clyde.
"You can do it!" said Sam.
"Keep it up!" said Lincoln. Melony returns Eiscue to its pokeball.
"I'm proud of you, Eiscue." said Melony. She puts Eiscue's pokeball away and pulls out another pokeball. "You're doing well so far, Luna; but you still need to beat my final Pokemon. Lapras, go!" She tosses Lapras' pokeball and releases it.
"And Melony's final Pokemon is her Lapras." said the announcer. The gray rocks float up and fly into Lapras, crashing into it, and damaging it. "And Stealth Rock deals damage to Lapras." Melony returns Lapras to its pokeball and enlarges it with her Dynamax Band; she throws it and releases Lapras, now Gigantimaxed. "And Melony has Gigantimaxed her Lapras; will Luna's Shapedo be able to beat it?"
"Lapras, use Max Strike!" said Melony. Energy surges through Lapras; a pillar of energy shoots up from the ground below Sharpedo and hits him, knocking him out.
"Sharpedo is unable to battle. Lapras wins the match." said the official.
"Lapras has beaten Luna's Sharpedo; what will Luna bring out next?" asked the announcer. Back at Royal Woods.
"I hope Luna can still win." said Simon.
"I'm sure she can turn this around." said Luan.
"Go, Wuna!" cheered Lily.
"We believe in you!" said Lynn Sr. Back at Circhester Stadium, Luna returns Sharpedo to his pokeball.
"You chill now, Sharpedo; you've earned it." said Luna. She puts Sharpedo's pokeball away and pulls out another. "Toxtricity, go!" She throws Toxtricity's pokeball and releases him.
"Luna's third Pokemon is her Toxtricity." said the announcer. Luna returns Toxtricity to his pokeball and enlarges it with her Dynamax Band; she throws it, releasing her now Gigantimaxed Toxtricity. "And Luna has Gigantimaxed her Toxtricity; it's Gigantimaxed Pokemon against Gigantimaxed Pokemon!"
"Toxtricity, use G-Max Stun Shock!" said Luna. Toxtricity pulls out a pink guitar made of electricty from his body and swings it; a purple bolt of electricity comes down from the sky and it hits Lapras, dealing super effective damage. It turns purple under Lapras' eyes.
"Lapras is poisoned." said Lucy.
"Lapras, use Max Hailstorm!" said Melony. Lapras lets out a yell and large hailstones fall from above and they hit Toxtricity, dealing damage; hail begins falling from the sky. Some of the hail hits Toxtricity, dealing damage to him while Lapras coughs from its poisoning, losing stamina.
"Toxtricity, let's give Lapras an encore; G-Max Stun Shock!" said Luna. Toxtricity swings his guitar; a yellow bolt of electricty comes down and hits Lapras, dealing super effective damage. Lapras shrinks down to its regular size and passes out.
"Lapras is unable to battle. Toxtricity wins the match. The winner of this gym battle is the Gym Challenge, Luna Loud!" said the official.
"It's over! Luna Loud's Toxtricity has beaten Melony's Lapras and earning Luna the victory!" said the announcer.
"Yeah!" cheered Luna while Toxtricity returned to his regular size.
"She did it!" said Lincoln.
"That was awesome!" said Ronnie Anne.
"I knew Luna could do it!" said Sam. Melony returns Lapras to its pokeball.
"You did all you could, Lapras." said Melony. She puts Lapras' pokeball away and walks to Luna who was with Toxtricity, giving him a fist bump. "You did well in our battle, Luna."
"Thanks, dude." said Luna. Melony takes out an Ice Badge and holds it out towards Luna.
"For your victory here, I present you with the Ice Badge!" said Melony. She gives Luna the Ice Badge, along with pokedollars.
"Rockin!" cheered Luna. Later, at the stadium lobby, Luna was being congratulated by her family and friends.
"You were awesome out there, Lunes." said Sam. A staff member walks over to them.
"Which of you will be taking the Gym Test next?" asked the official.
"I will." replied Sam, stepping forward.
"Once you change into your Gym Uniform, you may enter the Test Area." said the staff member. Minutes later, Sam steps out of the changing room, now in her Gym Uniform. She walks towards the doors that lead into the Test Area.
Once she gets the Trap Detector, along with being told what it was for and how it worked, she starts her Gym Test. She was able to get through the test areas with very few pitfalls and defeat every trainer she came across. Once she reaches the stairs at the end and climbs to the top, she completes her Gym Test.
In the stands, Sam's friends were watching while rooting for her.
"She did it!" said Lana.
"Knew she would!" said Luna.
"Now she has to defeat Melony to earn her Ice Badge." said Lincoln.
Back in Royal Woods at the Loud house, everyone was giving Sam their support.
"She's doing good so far." said Rita.
"Now she has to beat Melony." said Lori.
"She'll win!" said Simon Sharp.
Back in Circhester Stadium, Sam and Melony were walking out to the center of the field where they meet up.
"You did well to pass my Gym Test, young lady." Melony says to Sam.
"Yeah, but those pitfalls were a pain in the butt... literally." said Sam. She and Melony then walk to opposite ends of the battlefield as an official steps to the center of it.
"This gym battle will be between the Gym Leader Melony and the challenger, Sam Sharp." said the official. "Each trainer will use four Pokemon. Whichever trainer is able to defeat all their opponent's Pokemon will be the winner. Let the match begin!" The official walks off the field while Sam and Melody each pull out a pokeball.
"Frosmoth, go!" said Melony as she releases her first Pokemon.
"And Melony's first Pokemon is a Frosmoth!" said the official. "What will Sam use?"
"Let's show her Frosmoth some heavy metal, Steelix!" said Sam as she tosses her pokeball, releasing her Steelix.
"And Sam's first Pokemon is a Steelix!" said the official. "Let's see who wins!"
"Steelix, use Rock Slide!" said Sam. Her Steelix releases a shower of large rocks onto Frosmoth, doing a massive amount of super effective damage, and knocking it out, leaving Melony with a look of shock on her face.
"Frosmoth is unable to battle. Steelix is the winner." said the official.
"Incredible! Steelix takes out Frosmoth in one hit!" said the announcer.
"Well, a Pokemon that's part bug and part ice would be very vulnerable to rock type moves." said Lincoln.
"That was awesome!" said Lana.
"Keep it up, Sam!" said Ronnie Anne.
Back in Royal Woods, everyone at the Loud house was cheering Sam on.
"That was fast." said Rita.
"Steelix is so awesome!" said Simon Sharp.
"Hope she can keep it up." said Lynn Jr.
Back in Circhester, Melony returns her Frosmoth to its pokeball.
"Take a good rest, Frosmoth." said Melony before she puts her pokeball back on her waist; she then takes another one off and tosses it, releasing her Darmanitan.
"And Melony lets out her Darmanitan!" said the announcer. "Can it beat Sam's mighty Steelix?"
"Steelix, use another Rock Slide!" said Sam. Steelix drops another shower of large rocks onto Darmanitan, dealing super effective damage; it then turns into his Zen Mode.
"Darmanitan, use Ice Punch!" said Melony. Darmanitan runs at Steelix and punches her with a fist that was coated in icy energy, dealing damage, and freezing her solid.
"And Steelix is frozen!" said the announcer. "Can it thaw out in time to beat Darmanitan?"
"Steelix, use Slam!" said Sam, but Steelix was still frozen.
"Darmanitan, use Icicle Crash!" said Melony. Darmanitan creates large icicles from midair and drops them onto Steelix, damaging her.
"Steelix, use Dragon Breath!" said Sam; this time, Steelix breaks free of her icy prison and releases a beam of green energy from her mouth that hits Darmanitan.
"Darmanitan, use Avalanche!" said Melony. Her Darmanitan releases a massive wave of snow that washes over Steelix that knocks her out.
"Steelix is unable to battle. Darmanitan is the winner." said the official.
"And Darmanitan takes down Steelix." said the announcer. "Now each trainer is down to three Pokemon. Can Sam make a comeback?"
"She will, dude!" said Luna.
"You better believe it!" said Lola.
"Because we do!" said Clyde.
Back in Royal Woods, everyone at the Loud house was watching Sam's battle.
"I hope she can win." said Luan.
"She will!" said Simon.
"We just gotta have faith." said Lynn Sr.
Back in Circhester, Sam was returning her Steelix to her pokeball.
"You were awesome, Steelix." said Sam. She puts the pokeball back on her waist and pulls off another one; she tosses it, releasing her Gastrodon.
"And Sam's next Pokemon is a Gastrodon!" said the announcer. "Can it beat Melony's Darmanitan?"
"Darmanitan, use Ice Punch!" said Melony. Darmanitan runs at Gastrodon and punches it with an ice energy-covered fist, dealing damage.
"Gastrodon, use Ancient Power!" said Sam. Gastrodon summons up rocks with fossils in them and launches them at Darmanitan, dealing massive super effective damage, and knocks it out.
"Darmanitan is unable to battle. Gastrodon is the winner." said the official.
"And Gastrodon beats Darmanitan!" said the announcer. "Now Melony has two Pokemon remaining! Can she come back from behind and win?"
"Awesome!" said Clyde.
"Good move using a rock move on Darmanitan while it's in Zen Mode." said Lincoln.
"Sam's cool!" said Luna as she looks at her girlfriend with adoration.
Back in Royal Woods, everyone was cheering Sam on.
"Just two to go!" said Lynn Jr.
"She can win!" said Lori.
"Yeah!" shouts Simon.
Back in Circhester Stadium, Melony returns her Darmanitan to its pokeball.
"You battled well, Darmanitan." said Melony. She puts Darmanitan's pokeball back on her waist and pulls off another one; she tosses it, releasing her Eiscue.
"And Melony lets out her Eiscue!" said the announcer. "Can it beat Sam's Gastrodon?"
"Eiscue, use Freeze-Dry!" said Melony. Eiscue releases a blast of cold dry air, that hits Gastrodon, dealing super effective damage.
"Gastrodon, use Earth Power!" said Sam. Gastrodon slams its body onto the ground, making the ground beneath Eiscue burst beneath it, dealing damage, and lowering its special defense.
"Eiscue, hit it with another Freeze-Dry!" said Melony. Eiscue hits Gastrodon with another blast of cold dry air, dealing enough super effective damage to knock him out.
"Gastrodon is unable to battle. Eiscue is the winner." said the official.
"And Eiscue beats Gastrodon!" said the official. "Now both trainers have two Pokemon remaining!"
"Bogus, dudes." said Luna.
"Sam can still win this." said Lana.
"She will!" said Lola.
Back in Royal Woods, everyone was supporting Sam while watching her battle.
"Poor Gastrodon." said Rita.
"He did his best." said Lynn Sr.
"Sam can still win!" said Simon.
"And she will!" said Lynn Jr.
Back at Circhester Stadium, Sam returns her Gastrodon to his pokeball.
"You were awesome, Gastrodon." said Sam. She puts Gastrodon's pokeball back on her waist and pulls off another one; she tosses it, releasing her Stunfisk.
"Eiscue, use Icy Wind!" said Melony. Her Eiscue releases a blast of wind that had small bits of ice mixed in with it that hits Stunfisk, damaging him.
"Stunfisk, use Muddy Water!" said Sam. Stunfisk releases a wave of brown water that washes over Eiscue, and thanks to its weakened special defense, the attack was enough to knock it out.
"Eiscue is unable to battle. Stunfisk is the winner." said the official.
"And Stunfisk beats Eiscue!" said the announcer. "Melony has only one Pokemon remaining! Can she make a comeback and win?"
"You can do it, Sam!" said Luna.
"Totes!" said Leni.
Back in Royal Woods at the Loud house, everyone continues to watch Sam and cheer for her.
"One more and she wins!" said Lynn Jr.
"Go, Sam!" said Simon.
Back at Circhester Stadium, Melony returns her Eiscue to its pokeball.
"You battled well, Eiscue." said Melony. She puts Eiscue's pokeball back on her waist and pulls off her last one; she tosses it, releasing her Lapras.
"And Melony's last Pokemon is her Lapras!" said the announcer. Melony then returns her Lapras to its pokeball and uses her Dynamax Band to enlarge it; she tosses it again, releasing her, now Gigantamaxed, Lapras. "Melony has Gigantamaxed her Lapras! Can it pull off an upset and win the match for Melony?!"
"Lapras, use Max Geyser!" said Melony. Her Lapras releases a large geyser of water from its mouth that hits Stunfisk, dealing super effective damage, and knocks it out.
"Stunfisk is unable to battle. Lapras is the winner." said the official.
"Lapras beats Stunfisk!" said the announcer. "Now Sam has one Pokemon remaining! Can she win this match to claim the Ice Badge?!"
"Don't give up, Sam!" said Luna.
"We're all her for you!" said Ronnie Anne.
"You can do it." said Lucy
Back in Royal Woods at the Loud house, everyone was in suspense as they wait to see what happens next.
"Sam has one Pokemon left." said Rita.
"Hope it can win this." said Lynn Jr.
"It will!" said Simon.
"We just gotta have faith." said Lori.
Back at Circhester Stadium, Sam returns her Stunfisk to her pokeball.
"You were great, Stunfisk." said Sam. She puts Stunfisk's pokeball back on her waist and pulls off her last one; she tosses it, releasing her Toxtricity.
"And Sam's last Pokemon is her Toxtricity!" said the announcer. "Can it beat Melony's Gigantamaxed Lapras?!" Sam returns her Toxtricity to her pokeball and uses her Dynamax Band to enlarge it; she then tosses it, releasing her, now Gigantamaxed, Toxtricity. "It's a battle of the Gigantamaxed Pokemon! Who will be the victor?!"
"Toxtricity, use G-Max Stun Shock!" said Sam. Her Toxtricity brings out a guitar make of dark pink electricity and slams it down, causing purple lightning to come down from above Lapras and hits it, dealing super effective damage; the Lapras' body starts to twitch.
"And Lapras is paralyzed!" said the announcer.
"Lapras, use G-Max Resonance!" said Melony. Lapras tries to do that, but paralysis stops it.
"Toxtricity, use Max Lightning!" said Sam. Toxtricity launches a blast of lightning into the sky that comes back down onto Lapras, dealing enough super effective damage to cause the energy in it to explode and reverts it back to its normal state, unconscious.
"Lapras is unable to battle. Toxtricity is the winner. The winner of the match is the Gym Challenger Sam Sharp." said the official.
"Sam did it!" said the announcer. "Her Toxtricity defeats Lapras to win her the match!"
"She won!" cheered Lincoln.
"That was so rockin'!" said Luna.
"I, totes, knew she could do it!" said Leni.
Back in Royal Woods at the Loud house, everyone was celebrating Sam's victory.
"That was so awesome!" said Simon.
"I'm glad she won!" said Luan.
"We all are, sweetie." said Lynn Sr.
Back at Circhester Stadium, Melony returns her Lapras to its pokeball.
"You battled well, Lapras." said Melony. She puts her Lapras' pokeball back on her waist and walks over to Sam. "I must say that you were very impressive."
"Thanks." said Sam. Melony reaches into her coat pocket and pulls out an Ice Badge.
"As proof of your victory here, I present you with the Ice Badge." said Melony before she hands it, along with some pokedollars, to Sam.
"Rockin!" said Sam before she does plays her guitar while it's hooked up to Toxtricity as Toxtricity strums on the protrusions on her chest.
Later, at the stadium's lobby, everyone else was congratulating Sam.
"Awesome battling out there, Sam." said Luna.
"You were amazing out there." said Lincoln.
"Totes." said Leni. A staff member walks to the group.
"Who will take the Gym Test next?" asked the staff member.
"I totes will." said Leni.
"Once you change into your gym uniform, go through those doors to take the Gym Test." said the staff member, pointing at the door that leads to the Test Area. Leni goes into the changing room to change into her uniform; once she was done, she walks to the doors leading into the Test Area and goes through them.
Will Leni be able to pass the Gym Test and beat Melony to earn the Ice Badge. Wait and find out.
