Coach Lynn

Lynn Jr was on Akala Island with her cousins, and Alola friends, except Mallow, training up her Pokemon for the upcoming Pokemon Battle Royale Tournament in the Lush Jungle.

"She's really working hard." said Alola Lana.

"Probably wants to be ready for Kalani." said Kiawe.

"You think Lynn can beat her?" asked Lillie as she holds her Pokemon Egg.

"She can do it!" said Shelby.

"I hope so." said Shiloh.

"What are Lincoln and Mallow up to?" asked Alola Lana.

"Lincoln's training up his Riolu on Route 2." said Hau.

"And I'll bet Mallow stayed with Lincoln to have some alone time with him." said Lillie with a small laugh, making Lynn and her cousins chuckle.

After about an hour of training, Lynn decides to give her a Pokemon a break for a while.

"I'm gonna go for a walk for a little bit." said Lynn.

"Okay, Lynn." said Shane.

Lynn goes for a stroll through the jungle while deep in thought about Kalani.

"That girl is one tough trainer." Lynn Jr says to herself. "I'm gonna need to be at the top of my game if I'm gonna have a chance at beating her."

She enters a clearing and sees the large group of Passimians that had red leaves stuck to their shoulders she saw during her first time in the Lush Jungle; they were sitting around sulking while tossing a berry around.

"Hey, it's you guys!" said Lynn, getting the Passimians' attention. "What are you up to?" They all just sulk as they continued tossing the berry around.

"Is this about that other group beating you at that game?" asked Lynn. One of the Passimians looks at her and nods.

"Look." Lynn started to say. "I can relate to feeling bad about a loss. But don't let it get you down; just get back up, train harder, and try again." The Passimians looked at each other before looks of determination appear on their faces. "That's the spirit. How about I help train you guys?" The Passimians look at Lynn with confusion. "I don't know much about that game you were playing, but I can ask Professor Kukui when I'm at school tomorrow; once I learn everything I need to know, I'll come back and train you." The Passimians talk amongst themselves and nod in acceptance of Lynn's offer.

Ten minutes later, Lynn returns to her friends and family who were waiting for her.

"How was your walk, cuz?" asked Shane.

"Pretty good." said Lynn. "I ran into that one group of Passimians from before and offered to help train them for a while."

"What about the Pokemon Battle Royale Tournament?" asked Shelby.

"I can still train for that." said Lynn. "But I think it'll be fun training those Passimians."

"Well, if that's what you want to do, then that's your decision." said Kiawe.

"I'm gonna ask Professor Kukui if he knows anything about the game the Passimians play." said Lynn.

"Good idea." said Hau.

They then call for some Charizards and have them bring the group back to Melemele Island.

"What do you think Chandler's up to?" asked Shiloh.

"Who cares?" asked Sophocles.

"Probably waiting for his Z-Ring to be done." said Lynn.

"Maybe Grandpa will take his time so he's not bothering us." said Hau.

"We can only hope." said Kiawe.

Later, at the Louds' hotel room, Lincoln, Lynn, and their cousins were talking about what they've been up to.

"So, how's your Riolu doing, cuz?" asked Shane.

"He's awesome!" said Lincoln. "He learned Feint during his training."

"Sounds like he's getting stronger." said Lynn.

"Yeah, I think he's ready for Akala Island now." said Lincoln.

"Did Chandler get his Z-Ring?" asked Shiloh. The frown that appeared on Lincoln's face answered that question.

In Chandler's hotel room, Chandler was looking at his new Z-Ring that was on his wrist.

"I can't wait to show the Louds what I can do with this thing." said Chandler. (a/n: We can think of something he can do with that Z-Ring.)

The next day, at the Pokemon School, Lynn was talking to Professor Kukui about the Passimians' game.

"The Passimians toss a berry to each other as they work their way towards their opponents' goal while they try to take it from them; each time a team gets the berry to it, they score a point, and whichever team has the most points by sundown wins."

"That sounds simple for me to work with. Thanks a lot." said Lynn.

"I'm glad to help." said Professor Kukui.

During class, Lynn works on a training regimen for the Passimians when she got an opportunity to.

After school, Lynn would head over to the Lush Jungle with her family and friends to help train the Passimians; she had them tie heavy rocks to their wrists and ankles, as well as wearing heavy, handmade, baskets full of rocks on their backs, and have them do laps through the jungle while she does the same.

She also has them tossing a heavy rock back and forth to each other to help improve their throwing abilities, while helping them learn to be aware of the locations of each other.

While Lynn was training the Passimians, Lincoln was busy training his Riolu outside Kiawe's family's ranch with Mallow. Right now, Riolu was facing down a wild Tauros that was about to use Horn Attack on him.

"Riolu, use Counter!" said Lincoln. As Tauros' horns hit Riolu, his body becomes covered in an orange aura that is released at Tauros, dealing super effective damage, and knocking it out.

"Great job, Riolu!" said Lincoln. His Rotom Phone gets a notification, making Lincoln look at it. "Hey, this says that you just learned Force Palm!" Riolu nods before he freezes up and starts to glow.

"Riolu's evolving!" said Mallow. She and Lincoln watch as Riolu changes before their eyes; when he was done, he was taller, the ears on his head were longer, his chest was cream-colored with a white spike on the center of it, he had a spike on the back of each of his hands as well.

"Awesome!" said Lincoln as he points his Rotom Phone at his newly evolved Riolu.

"Lucario, the Emanation Pokemon, and the evolved form of Riolu. It knows how people and Pokémon feel by looking at their auras. It doesn't approach dangerous opponents." said Lincoln's Rotom Phone.

"And this says he's part steel type, and he just learned Aura Sphere, and Power-Up Punch!" said Lincoln.

"Lucario's gonna be a force to be reckoned with if he keeps up the training you give him." said Mallow as she wraps her arms around Lincoln, making him smile and blush.

"I'll bet he'll give me an advantage in my Grand Trial this weekend." said Lincoln.

The sun was starting to go down when Lynn just finished training the team of Passimians she was working with who were very tired.

"Okay, I think you all did enough for today." said Lynn. "We'll try finding that other team of Passimians and challenge them to a rematch tomorrow; but until then, you all earned a good rest." The Passimians nod; Lynn leaves while one of the Passimians watches her.

In the hotel room, Lynn and Lincoln were talking to each other and their cousins about their days.

"Man, Lincoln; your Lucario is awesome!" said Shiloh.

"Thanks; I'm happy with him too." said Lincoln.

"Do you think your team of Passimians will be ready for their rematch tomorrow, Lynn?" asked Shane.

"We'll find out." said Lynn.

The next day, Lynn's team of Passimians were walking through the Lush Jungle with her, along with Lincoln, their cousins, and Alola friends; to where they told Lynn their opponents usually hang out; they soon come to a clearing where they find their opponents, laughing while tossing a berry around.

"Hey, chump chimps!" said Lynn, getting the opposing Passimian team's attention. "My team wants a rematch with you guys. So, what do you say?" The other Passimian team look at each other before one of them throws a berry at Lynn, only for it to be caught by one of Lynn's Passimian team members.

"Looks like they accepted." said Lincoln.

"Oh, it's on now!" said Lynn. She looks at her team of Passimians and takes a knee, making them do the same thing. "I know you lost last time, but that was then, and this is now!" Her Passimian team start getting fired up. "You all trained hard yesterday; it may not seem like a lot in one day, but you're faster and stronger than you were last time you faced those guys." Her Passimian team shouts in agreement. "So, show those guys what Team Lynn can do!"

"Yeah!" shouts Lincoln.

"You can all do it!" said Shiloh.

"We're rootin' for you!" said Shane. Team Lynn starts hopping up and down excitedly before running over to where their opponents were waiting in front of a berry.

"Here we go!" said Lynn. She lets out a whistle, and one of the opposing Passimians reaches for the berry, only for one of Lynn's to move quickly and grabs it before the other one could and tosses it to one of its teammates; the opposing team was surprised by Lynn's Passimian's speed, but they shake it off and take off after the berry.

Lynn's Passimians start quickly tossing the berry to each other faster than the other opposing team can react; the berry is soon tossed to one of Lynn's Passimians who was at the other team's goal; it catches it, scoring a point, leaving the opposing team in a state of shock at how fast their opponents scored.

"Those Passimian are speechless." said Shelby with a laugh.

"What did you expect?" asked Lynn. "My team scored in less than a minute."

"Your opponents are starting to look a little nervous." said Kiawe.

"Can't blame them." said Lynn. The game soon started back up, with Lynn's team of Passimians dominating, scoring point after point. The opposing team tried their best to get the berry, but Lynn trained her team well; they were too fast to keep up with, and threw the berry faster than their opponents can follow.

"Talk about a one-sided match." said Mallow.

"I can't believe that Lynn improved those Passimians in one day." said Kiawe.

"She's just that good." said Lincoln. After about an hour of gameplay, the sun was setting, indicating the game was over; the final score was Team Lynn scoring 26 points while the opposing team only got 1.

"Team Lynn for the win!" cheered Lynn as her family and friends congratulated her while her Passimian team celebrated their victory. The opposing team sulks before the largest member of it, probably the leader, goes over to a bush, and pulls a large wooden totem with a large coconut stuck to the top of it; the Passimian walks over to Lynn and hands it to her.

"What's that?" asked Shiloh.

"It's the totem that the winning Passimian team gets to hold onto as proof of their victory in today's game." said Mallow.

"How do you know that?" asked Lynn.

"You spend as much time in this jungle as I do, you pick up a thing or two." said Mallow.

"So, it's like a travelling trophy?" asked Lynn.

"That's one way of putting it." said Mallow.

"Cool!" said Lynn. The Passimians suddenly swarm her, pick her up, and start tossing her up and down, making her laugh while they do. Some Passimians gather some fruit for everyone as a celebratory meal.

After about an hour of celebrating, the group gets ready to leave when they see it was getting dark out.

"Be ready for a possible rematch." Lynn says to her team, making them nod.

"See you all later." said Mallow as the group starts to leave. As they walk down the path, they hear some movement behind them, making them look to see one of Team Lynn's Passimians, following after them.

"Is it following us?" asked Lincoln.

"What do you think it wants?" asked Lillie. The Passimian stops in front of Lynn and kneels down in front of her.

"What's up?" Lynn asked the Passimian; it takes off its helmet, pulls out an empty pokeball, and holds it out to her.

"I think it wants to join your Pokemon team." said Kiawe.

"Really?" asked Lynn. Passimian nods and closes its eyes in preparation. Lynn smiles before tossing the pokeball, hitting the Passimian, and sucks it in; the pokeball wiggles a few times before clicking.

"Congratulations, cuz!" said Shane. After Lynn's new Passimian's pokeball vanishes to storage, Lincoln looks up Passimian's information.

"This says Passimian's a girl, she knows Tackle, Leer, Rock Smash, Focus Energy, Beat Up, and Scary Face; she has the Receiver ability which has her copy the ability of a fallen ally."

"So, if by some chance my Hariyama's beaten and I bring out Passimian, she gets Hariyama's Guts ability?" asked Lynn.

"Yeah." replied Lincoln.

"Nice." said Lynn.

"Come on; if we hurry, we can get to my family's ranch and spend the night there before it gets dark." said Kiawe.

"I bet Shiloh wants to see Mimo." said Shelby, making Shiloh blush.

Thanks to Lynn, Team Lynn has beaten the other Passimian team, and because of it, she has a new Pokemon on her team. What else awaits the Louds and their friends as their Alola adventure continues.
