Nighttime in the Crimson Mirelands
The Galaxy Team Survey Corps make their way towards the Diamond Settlement to get Arezu's leg treated. After a bit of walking, they arrive at a small village made up of half a dozen huts, along with people wearing outfits similar to the one Mai was wearing before.
"Here we are." said Arezu.
"Not as big as Jubilife Village." said Lana.
"True, but it is still home." said Arezu.
"Where can we put you, Arezu?" asked Lori. Arezu points them towards a hut where a woman with three yellow platypus-like Pokemon in front of her was. As they all approach the woman, she hears them and turns to look at them.
"You're all from the Galaxy Team are you?" the woman asked the group.
"Yes we are." said Lori.
"My name is Martia." said the woman now known as Martia.
"Nice to meet you." said
"Do you know of a medicine that can cure headaches?" asked Martia. "I need it for my Psyducks. I wish I could do something to help them, but none of the medicines I've tried haved worked at all."
"Sorry, but none of us really knows anything about that sort of stuff." said Lynn.
"Perhaps someone in the Galaxy Team Medical Corps would know something?" suggested Akari.
"That's a wonderful idea." said Martia.
"Maybe one of us can head back to Jubilife and talk to the Medical Corps." said Lincoln.
"I'll go back." said Luna.
"Thank you." said the woman.
"And can we bring Arezu inside your hut?" asked Lynn as she points at Arezu who was still over her shoulder.
"What happened to her?" asked the woman.
"Sprained ankle." said Lucy from behind the woman, startling her.
"You scared me, young lady." said Martia. "But sure, you can bring her inside."
"We greatly appreciate it." said Lisa. They then bring Arezu into the hut and set her on one of the bedrolls inside.
"Thank you for the help." said Arezu.
"Just take it easy on that leg until it's healed enough." said Lynn.
"I will." said Arezu.
"Well, we gotta get going." said Lincoln.
"Yes. You need to help Lady Lilligant." said Arezu. As soon as they all exit the hut, they notice it the sun was starting to set.
"We should head back to the Bogbound Camp before it gets too dark to see where we're going." said Lincoln.
"Good idea, brah." said Luna. "I can head back to Jubilife Village in the morning."
The group exits the Diamond Settlement and make their way back to the Bogbound Camp; they arrive just when stars began appearing in the sky.
"Let's get some sleep." said Lori.
"I'm gonna stay up for a while." said Lucy.
"Gonna look for some more of those wisps?" asked Lincoln.
"Yeah, and I also want to see what Pokemon are out at night in this area." said Lucy.
"That sounds like a plan." said Lynn.
"Good night." said Lincoln.
"See you in the morning, Lucy." said Lana. As most of the Survey Corps were getting into their bedrolls, Lucy heads over to an area close to the Mirelands Camp called the Golden Lowlands. As she does, she head through the southern part of the Scarlet Bog and looks around for a bit; she soon sees what appeared to be a Pokemon that looked like a black orb with eyes and a mouth, covered in a purple mist.
"What are you?" asked Lucy. She decides to try catching it to show to Lisa in the morning; she takes a pokeball off her waist and tosses it, releasing her Drifloon.
"Drifloon, use Hypnosis." said Lucy. Her Drifloon releases hypnotic waves at the Pokemon, hitting it, and making it drowsy; the Pokemon responds by launching a ball of dark energy with an eye in its core at Drifloon, hitting it, and dealing super effective damage. "That was Hex; well, let's hit it with your Hex attack, Drifloon." Her Drifloon launches another ball of black energy at the Pokemon, hitting it, and seeming to do a lot more damage than the Pokemon's attack. Lucy quickly grabs an empty pokeball out of her satchel and tosses it at the Pokemon, hitting it, and sucking it in; the pokeball wiggles once before a firework shoots out from it.
"Wicked." said Lucy. She picks up the pokeball and examines it. "I don't know why, but you feel like my sort of Pokemon. I guess as long as I'm battling Pokemon, I'll train up mine."
Lucy does so, and as a result, her Drifloon learned Mystical Fire, her Kadabra learned Zen Headbutt, and her Golbat learned Cross Poison; she wasn't sure what her new Pokemon learned, but she'd talk to Lisa about it in the morning.
Back in the Bogbound Camp, the Galaxy Team Survey Corps was fast asleep. As Lincoln slept, a certain Miss Fortune Bandit was silently sneaking over to him; when she reaches Lincoln, she kneels down and gently presses her lips against his.
"Wha..." Lincoln starts to say as his eyes begin to open.
"Shhhh." said Clover as she strokes Lincoln's cheek as she stares lovingly at him. "Just sleep, my darling." Lincoln tiredly closes his eyes and falls back asleep. Clover smiles at him before she sneaks away back to the other Miss Fortune Bandits who didn't know she left them to see Lincoln.
Somewhere in a snowy area of Hisui in a settlement, Irida was squeezing her pillow angrily.
'Why am I suddenly so angry?!' asked Irida. 'I hope that bandit isn't doing anything foolish, like trying to seduce my Lincoln.'
Back with Lucy, she was exploring some ruins in the southern part of the Crimson Mirelands, hoping to find some wisps, but she hasn't had any success.
"Isn't there any wisps around here?" asked Lucy. As she continues to explore, a large, blue Pokemon that kind of reminded her of a Croagunk, with a hornlike protrusion coming out of its forehead, an orange sac under its chin that kept inflating and deflating, along with blades coming out of its wrists; leaps out of a body of water and stands in front of her, looking ready for a fight.
"What are you?" asked Lucy. "Wish Lisa was here with her notes." The Pokemon leaps at Lucy and thrusts one of its blades towards her, making her dive out of the way. She quickly takes out her Golbat's pokeball and lets her out of it.
"Golbat, use Air Cutter." said Lucy. Her Golbat flaps her wings, releasing a blade of wind that hits the Pokemon, dealing super effective damage. "You must be part fighting type." The Pokemon reacts by launching a barrage of needles at Golbat, hitting her, but not doing much damage. "Golbat, use Air Cutter again." Golbat releases another blade of wind at the Pokemon, dealing super effective damage again. The Pokemon then turns towards Lucy with an angry look on its face, slightly surprising her, then releases a glob of poison at her; Golbat quickly flies in front of Lucy and takes the hit, not suffering any significant damage. "One more Air Cutter, Golbat." Another blade of wind hits the Pokemon, this time knocking it out.
"That was close." said Lucy. "Thanks for saving me." Her Golbat smiles before folding one of her wings around Lucy. Suddenly, she starts to glow.
"Wicked." said Lucy. "Golbat's evolving." She watches as her Golbat changes right before her eyes; when she finished, she was a lot bigger, she was purple, and had two sets of wings coming out of her.
"What are you now?" asked Lucy. Her newly evolved Golbat flies down and motions Lucy towards her back. "You want me to climb on?" Her evolved Golbat nods indicating that she did. Lucy climbs onto her Pokemon and she starts flying up over the Crimson Mirelands; the two fly around for a while, looking at the scenery when the sun was starting to come up over the nearby mountains.
"Ugh, the sun." said Lucy. "Might as well head back to where the others are." Her new Pokemon flies back towards the Bogbound Camp.
An hour later, the Galaxy Team Survey Corps was up and about, getting breakfast ready.
"Did everyone sleep well?" asked Professor Laventon.
"Yes, sir." said Lincoln. He then feels his lips, getting his sisters' attention.
"What's with you, bro?" asked Luna.
"I dreamt that Clover came here while I was asleep and kissed me." said Lincoln, making his sisters squeal with delight, and Akari growl. "And for some reason, it felt real and I can still taste Clover's lips on mine."
"Maybe it wasn't a dream, Lincoln." said Lori with a smile. "I wouldn't be surprised if she came here and did something like that."
"Maybe." said Lincoln with a blush. Lori notices that her goth sister wasn't around.
"Where's Lucy at?" asked Lori. "Didn't she come back last night?"
"I'm right here." said Lucy from behind Lori, startling her.
"DON'T DO THAT!" said Lori.
"Sorry." said Lucy. She walks over to Lisa who was discussing some topics with Professor Laventon.
"Did you need something, young lady?" asked Professor Laventon as he notices Lucy walking over to where he and Lisa were sitting. Lucy takes out two of her pokeballs and tosses them, releasing the black ball Pokemon, and her evolved Golbat.
"Can you tell me what these are?" asked Lucy.
"I believe the black orb Pokemon is a Gastly." said Professor Laventon. "It's part ghost and part poison."
"I like the ghost part for some reason." said Lucy.
"Yours is a girl, one in this area should at least know Astonish, Poison Gas, Hex, and Venoshock." said Professor Laventon.
"And I believe your Golbat is a Crobat now." said Lisa.
"Wicked." said Lucy.
"You have had a productive night, young lady." said Professor Laventon. "And this helps add more knowledge to the pokedex."
"Did you find any wisps?" asked Lana.
"Not one." said Lucy.
"Sorry to hear that, sis." said Luna. "Well, I'm heading back to Jubilife Village to see about medicine for those Psyducks at the Diamond Settlement."
"Have a safe journey." said Professor Laventon.
"Thanks." said Luna before she grabs some supplies and starts making her way back towards the Obsidian Fieldlands.
"We should be off as well." said Lisa.
"Yeah, we have a frenzied Pokemon to calm." said Lincoln.
"Let's head out, everyone." said Lori.
Lucy has a new Gastly for her team, and her Golbat has evolved into Crobat. What else will the Louds experience as their Hisui adventure continues?
